Im Großen und Ganzen eine tolle Unterkunft, das Frühstück war etwas langweilig und die Portion sehr klein. Man kann den Schlafraum nicht komplett verdunkeln.

Es ist nicht möglich, mit einem Auto an die Unterkunft zu gelangen: man kann also kein Grab oder Gojek bis vor die Haustüre bestellen oder sich dort absetzen lassen. Man muss alternative Wegpunkte wählen. Einer davon ist direkt an einer sehr langen Treppe. Über Zwischenebene kommt man allerdings sehr gut zum nächsten großen Supermarkt mit toller Auswahl. Die Unterkunft an sich ist sehr ruhig bis auf die Tiergeräusche natürlich und toll eingerichtet. Ein scharfes Messer wäre auch cool gewesen :-) für den Preis hätte man vielleicht noch etwas Besseres kriegen können…

We love it here! The grounds and room was so much more than expected not to mention the exceptional staff and family atmosphere. We were so pleased that we extended our stay.

Beautiful big clean room and private outdoor area with kitchen facilities. The property is so stunning and tucked away so really peaceful. The staff were all super friendly and helped with anything we needed. We really enjoyed our time here!

A peaceful escape immersed in nature A truly beautiful experience and a complete immersion in nature. The garden is absolutely incredible, beautifully cared for down to the smallest detail, and creates a wonderful sense of peace and connection. The location is strategic: peaceful and away from the chaos of Ubud, while still being convenient for exploring the surrounding area. The hosts are lovely and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with hot water, a very functional shower, and even a fridge. A special place for anyone looking for peace, nature and a genuine feeling of being at home. We absolutely loved our stay!

Really wonderful place. Super rich garden, a lot of plants, feeling like the jungle is coming into your terrace. Lovely bedrooms and fantastic bathrooms. Super nice owner and the staff. Quiet place, good for meditation but even though if we were with kids and there were a little bit louder, nobody makes a problem or issue with that. Highly recommended place to go. Very good starting point for exploring attractions around Ubud. Overall I think it is a very underestimated and underpriced play.

There is nothing against the place but because of the rich garden and a lot of plants there was not so much sun on the terrace so it was hard to dry clothes.

El complejo está situado en una zona peatonal desde la que se puede acceder cómodamente a diferentes zonas de la ciudad por senderos asfaltados que discurren por la montaña o bajando unas escaleras hacia la calle principal de Ubud. El complejo es muy bonito y lleno de jardines y cada bungalow tiene el suyo propio o una terraza si la habitación se encuentra en el segundo piso. También hay una cocina. Volver al bungalow es un placer después de haber transitado por las abarrotadas calles del centro.. A pie desde el complejo se encuentran múltiples y variados restaurantes y cafés así como uno de los supermercados más grandes y completos de Ubud. El desayuno que se ofrece es muy variado y el ambiente familiar y excelente trato cálido y hospitalario de los dueños amplia la sensación de bienestar que se siente en el lugar.

Santra Putra guesthouse is een prachtig verblijf op een fantastische locatie! We voelden ons direct thuis in ons mooie huisje (wat een prachtige kunst overal, vooral het beeldhouwwerk in de badkamer!). We werden hartelijk verwelkomd door de Santra Putra familie en hadden meerdere contactpersonen die ons wegwijs maakten in Ubud. Het guesthouse ligt op een rustige plek in Ubud met veel omliggende guesthouses, restaurantjes en een yogastudio (waar we dankbaar gebruik van hebben gemaakt). Santra Putra guesthouse is een oase van rust in de drukte van Ubud! Toen we uitcheckten, hebben we een beeldje gekocht, dat een mooi plekje krijgt in ons huis. Als we ooit weer teruggaan naar Ubud, weten we waar we zullen verblijven :) Echt een aanrader!

Amazing grounds, beautiful and quiet. Has a great feel. Good price in the perfect hide away neighborhood.

After hauling three bags up the Campuhan stairs and seeing there soaking in sweat, I asked two worker boys where the office was and they pointed, walk on, and no any helped. The room was pretty dirty with lots of long hairs on the floor. Worst parts were both the mattress and day bed (although it was in a great veranda) were very uncomfortable and worse yet, the room is open air and the mosquito net didn’t go down far enough to keep those monsters out. There no AC and even trying to sleep with sheets covering my entire body, the bit me in the face! I had to leave early. I hate to leave a bad review but I hope this can pressure some changes and this place can live up to the potential (or at least these super high ratings).

Santra Putra es una estupenda casa de huéspedes situada cerca del centro de Ubud y a la vez en una zona de la colina desde la que hay estupendas vistas y unos caminos peatonales en los que se pueden descubrir una serie de estupendos restaurantes y cafés. El alojamiento está genial. La cama es muy cómoda y dispone de una mosquitera. Las habitaciones se encuentran en viviendas independientes que dan a un jardín. El espacio de la habitación es de unos 30 mt cuadrados y delante hay una terraza en mi caso que da al jardín y al costado una cocina sencilla pero equipada y con nevera y al otro lado está el baño con agua caliente. Los dueños son encantadores y muy amables y comunicativos. A la llegada es importante conectar con el alojamiento para que te ayuden con el equipaje ya que en la zona que está no pueden entrar los coches. Pero vale la pena ya que es una zona muy especial. A la salida también ayudan a llevar el equipaje al coche o taxi.

Siempre hay cosas que no te gustan como los mosquitos, pero donde no hay mosquitos. En esta época el clima de Bali es una delicia y en las noches hace hasta un poco de frío.... no me puedo quejar de nada en este lugar tan mágico.

It was in a great location and the surroundings are beautiful! The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was practical enough. I extended my stay as I loved the location!

The staff were non existent. When I checked in the girl told me to just read the information on the bed side… not the greatest of impressions but the fact it’s a good location makes up for the poor experience staff wise. Water and fridge outside the room a little inconvenient.

I found a gem. I extended three times and stayed in three different rooms, each more beautiful than the other. This place could be a much more expensive hotel like place but it’s still got the familiar, cozy feel thanks to the family staying on the grounds and the people that come through. The area is so cute, quiet, away from the bustle thanks to no cars driving on the small street outside the guest house. I love it here.

A truly wonderful place to stay. This guesthouse is a peaceful oasis surrounded by the beautiful sounds of the jungle. It's quiet, relaxing, and the perfect place to unwind while enjoying the unique atmosphere of Ubud. What made my stay even more special was the incredibly warm and kind staff. We had a wonderful stay at Santra Putra. The garden is absolutely beautiful, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our room was lovely, quiet, and very comfortable – the perfect place to unwind. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. We truly felt at home and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

Pas très loin du centre d'Ubud mais dans un quartier très calme et piéton, ça fait du bien de sortir du tumulte de la ville. Le petit déjeuner était très chouette. Le petit jardin est très beau.

Le verrou de la porte coulissante ferme mais la porte peut être glissée pour pouvoir quand même rentrer à l'intérieur (avec le verrou toujours fermé), de ce fait un petit serpent est rentré dans notre chambre. La chambre est proche des rizières donc il y a des moustiques sur la terrasse mais il y a une raquette électrique à disposition.

There were a lot of Mosquitoes in the day, and one of the bed was a little weird smelling

The size and Balinese style of the room (plus kitchen, balcony, and bathroom) are simply amazing! There's hot water with excellent pressure. And early in the morning, at dawn, I was captivated by the birds singing, there were so many of them! The guesthouse is also perfectly located: there are lots of coffee shops nearby, and you can walk (7-10 minutes) to the tourist street with restaurants and other establishments. The area is very quiet and clean. I met the sweetest guesthouse owner, and she showed me their gallery, for which I am very grateful! I highly recommend visiting their gallery - Karja Art Space, right on their property! The owner's paintings are simply amazing; he is an amazing artist! There is also a yoga studio on the property, which I unfortunately didn't have time to visit, but next time I'll stay for at least 2 days and then visit! And in general, the entire grounds are well-maintained, like a continuous tropical garden; it was very pleasant to walk through! I'm looking forward to my next trip to Ubud!

The room itself, the bedding, and the bathroom are very clean, but I would recommend cleaning all the light switches (they have a layer of dirt on them)🙏🏽

Locally owned, Balinese family run with people always on site as they live there _ traditional values up held in all aspects. So important to keep supporting Balinese owned properties!!

Everything was perfect

This place is pure heaven. The most beautiful location. The shower was beautiful, the balcony looking into green lush jungle. Very private, a little oasis of calm in busy Ubud. It's close to town you can walk in in about 15 minutes but this area is beautiful and quiet, 2 minutes to Initiative Yoga studio. Just beautiful all round.

Need to take a motorcycle from parking to property because a car can’t get through the last stretch of the distance which is 4 min walk.

I had booked for my last night in Bali, however, I realised that I was flying the night earlier! I was only able to use the room for a luxurious shower before leaving. I would have loved to have stayed longer.

חדר מאוד מרווח ומאוד נוח ונעים. הייתי בחדר בקומה השניה והיתה לי פרטיות רבה. מיקום מצויין ושקט בחלק הכי מוצלח של אובוד, ממש במרכז. הגינה נפלאה ויפהפיה ואהבתי אותה במיוחד. אהבתי גם את חדר האמבטיה הפתוח. המטבח ישן אבל יש מה שצריך. תמורה מצויינת לכסף לטעמי.

אין מזגן כי החדר פתוח. אני דווקא אהבתי שהחדר פתוח ויש שני מאווררים שהספיקו לי. החדר והציוד התיישנו מעט ודרוש להם רענון. לי זה לא הפריע והיה לי נוח ונעים.

Great place to stay in Panestanan. Lovely family and felt so welcomed and looked after. The garden is so beautiful. Also love the conversations shared with other travellers at the communal breakfast table.

C'est établissement est idyllique. Il est situé dans le meilleur quartier d'Ubud (Penestanan) et dans la plus jolie ruelle de ce quartier. Les jardins sont sublimes. Le personnel est adorable. Les chambres sont très confortables. J'y suis restée un mois et j'ai testé plusieurs chambres ; elles sont toutes super. Le bâtiment à côté de la réception est plus ancien et un peu moins bien entretenu que les autres (Suite Sabo), notamment au niveau de la cuisine ou la salle de bain, mais il reste très agréable. Les suites de plein pied situées à gauche donnent toutes sur un petite jardinet privé très bien entretenu par les jardiniers. Le peintre, Karja, qui détient les lieux est très talentueux et extrêmement intéressant. Je retournerai là-bas pour mon prochain séjour.

Le bâtiment à côté de la réception est plus ancien et un peu moins bien entretenu que les autres (Suite Sabo), notamment au niveau de la cuisine ou la salle de bain, mais il reste très agréable.

Useful to know that the guesthouse is not reachable the entire way by car. If you have large or heavy luggage, you should make arrangements early on to have staff meet you with motorbikes to help you with your luggage

Ho soggiornato al Santra Putra Guesthouse e per me è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa. L’atmosfera è autentica e rilassante, immersa nel verde, perfetta per staccare e respirare la vera energia di Ubud. La camera era spaziosa, pulitissima e curata nei dettagli, con una vista splendida e una pace incredibile al mattino. Ma ciò che ho apprezzato di più è stata l’ospitalità: gentili, sorridenti e sempre pronti ad aiutare con consigli utilissimi. Un posto che non è solo un alloggio, ma un piccolo rifugio speciale in cui tornerei senza esitazione. 💚

A lovely place to stay in the beautiful Panestanan, surrounded by such a lush garden and being looked after by a kind Balinese family. I felt so at home here.

It was a fantastic breakfast. The menu offered a number of options and it was extremely good value for the price. It was so wonderful to be able to sit at a shared table and chat with other guests and the family who are running the guesthouse. It is truly a magical place which I stayed at 20 years and dreamed of returning. The feeling is the same and the personal warmth and generosity of the family is what draws travelers back again and again.

The area was beautiful, secluded, and quiet.

The WiFi was completely nonfunctional, to the point that I had to find new accommodations because I was (unfortunately) on a working trip that meant I needed consistent internet access. Photos don’t explicitly show that the rooms are not fully closed off from the outside - even if doors and windows are shut, there is decorative carving that leaves the room open to insects and other wildlife. Not the end of the world if clearly described but on a heavily forested street in the middle of the hot and humid Bali rainy season, having to battle nonstop mosquitoes isn’t ideal when not planned for. There’s no clear signage on the property so I wandered building to building for about 10 minutes before I found anyone to check in.

Wow, what an amazing place. I’ve stayed here 4 times now, and will return whenever possible. The location is perfect - quiet and peaceful with a huge fairy tale garden, but close to the chaos of Ubud whenever you want. The garden bursts with life - birds, squirrels, butterflies, frogs - don’t forget to watch for fireflies at night. Simply chilling in front of the room, watching the garden, is an experience in itself. Komang and his family live on the property, and they are what makes this place even better. Very kind, warm, helpful and lovely. Thank you for everything!

The family, staff and the community were incredibly kind and welcoming. I feel like we have made friends for life. We needed help with a suitcase, from the drop off point and this was swiftly taken care of by motorcycle, when we arrived and when we departed. Loved the lush garden with mature foliage, koi ponds, the creatures we shared the space with, especially the doves and geckos. The retreat-like atmosphere is something we both enjoyed. The art has a lived in feeling and appears all over the property. How utterly inspiring. The mosquito net over the bed kept the mozzies at bay, and together with the mosquito repellant we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious and provided a lovely ambiance to share interesting conversations with fellow travelers. This has got to be the highlight of our stay. Can't wait to return.

There is room for improvement as far as cleanliness in our room is concerned.

滞在中、自然を感じながらのんびりとした時間を過ごすことができました。スタッフもすごいフレンドリーだし、朝食も何種類かから選べ、どれも美味しいです。エアコンが無くファンしかないですが、よりウブドの自然（気候や動物の鳴き声等）を感じることができました。キッチン（調理可能）や冷蔵庫があるのも助かりました。

清掃というよりは、ただゴミ回収をしてくれただけのように感じました。到着時、すごい雨で時間も遅く暗かったため、入り口がわかりませんでした。タクシーは施設の前まで行けないので、天気が悪いと大変です。エアコンがなく全体的に布類（リネン等）が湿気気味なので、気になる人には向かないかもしれません。

We had a great stay. The place was exactly what we were looking for. A half open bathroom and an outdoor kitchen. We liked the balcony and as we stayed on the second floor there weren’t so many mosquitoes. It also has a nice garden view.

La struttura è immersa nel verde e questo è bellissimo. Eravamo due coppie di cui una nel bungalow con giardino: uno spettacolo. Staff cordiale. Abbiamo usufruito del servizio di lavanderia e ci hanno accontentato nelle tempistiche per un prezzo stracciato di 60K IDR. Abbiamo anche usufruito del loro driver per farci venire a prendere all’aeroporto: gentilissimo, ci ha portato le valigie fino all’ingresso della guesthouse.

Tutto! Completamente immersi nella natura ma a pochi minuti dal centro, raggiungibile solo a piedi o in scooter. Lo staff è gentile ed efficiente, il giardino favoloso!

Amazing gardens & great location

It is very central but still tucked away in its secluded gardens. The room was spacious and the semi-open air bathroom is really lovely. Lots of nice restaurants and yoga spaces nearby.

I found check in quite confusing and never really understood who worked there. The outside space was difficult to use because there were so many mosquitoes. If I stayed again I would try to get a room upstairs.

If you’re a solo traveler looking for a place to relax, recharge, and connect with authentic Balinese warmth, this is it. I left feeling refreshed and grateful—and I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Ubud.

The room We booked on booking was excellent with a beautiful bathroom and terrace and comfy bed. The property is beautifully curated with a magical garden, a yoga space and a lovely outside communal dining table for breakfast. Really sweet family that owns this stunning guesthouse. The area is really cute with a vibrant yoga community and a gorgeous yellow flower cafe made from bamboo nearby where one could have a fantastic breakfast with a view onto Ubud ! It’s also within walking distance to the city centre.

We spent 5 nights in this amazing place. You live like in a paradise garden - birds sing, squirrels jump on the branches, at night you can see fireflies. The room has everything you need for a comfortable life (comfortable bed, shower with good water pressure, kitchen, large terrace with a wonderful view of the garden). The staff is very friendly and helps with solving all problems. We will definitely come back!

Not really disadvantages, but two things that you should consider when choosing this hotel is the difficulty of getting there by car (the staff helped us with suitcases from the taxi drop off point though) and the fact that the rooms have fans, but no AC.

We loved the stay in the lush and green environment with the creative influence. Very inspiring and in one of the most relaxed parts of ubud with still nice cafes around. Only the hot water boiler is not big enough for the bathtub ;) with the help of boiling water in the kitchen we were safe though for some wellness at home
