The stairs were difficult in the heat, don’t book if you’re not prepared to do 80 stairs with suitcases. Breakfast was good but you are told you have to pay extra if you want to sit down.

BEWARE! We booked this room believing we had a window opening onto the Duomo and the beautiful central square. "La Finestra sul Duomo". It would appear, despite the photos and advertising, only a few rooms have the view! (perhaps one room?). The price for a very average room with no view and no reception or communal facilities, an ugly stairwell with no lift to the third floor was too high. We were very disappointed - there are much better places near to the centre of town. A simple breakfast was offered with a voucher in a nearby café which was pleasant (a choice of coffee and pastry or a granita and brioche) but no table or service included - you have to stand or pay extra!

It’s quite basic, but it’s really reasonably priced and Guiseppe (host) was lovely. It’s a lot of stairs but very manageable.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026La struttura è collocata in pieno centro, comodissima per prendere gli autobus da piazza Borsellino. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, colazione in una pasticceria della piazza. Non ho avuto modo di incontrare il proprietario Giuseppe, ma è stato molto carino e gentile, preciso nelle indicazioni e disponibile nel fornirci la stanza prima del previsto.
Tutto ok.

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026Si dovrebbe chiamare la finestra sulle tegole,finestra del bagno fuori piccola rientranza aperta con bombola di gas difronte attaccata alla finestra ,poi non sono tre piani ma 3 piani di scale,nella tromba delle scale un puzzo di escrementi terribile, ho avuto un incidente nell'androne perché non era abbastanza illuminato una distorsione al piede destro immaginate fare le scale
Per il prezzo che chiedono non ne vale la pena

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026La Finestra sul Duomo si trova praticamente dentro a Piazza Duomo a Catania, quindi è vicino a tutto, mezzi di trasporto compresi. La stanza ha dimensioni molto buone, il bagno era spazioso e ben attrezzato, inoltre erano presenti TV, frigorifero e macchina per il caffè con cialde. La colazione è con voucher presso il vicinissimo Prestipino. OK anche il WiFi. Ottima gestione dell'host sempre disponibile via Whatsapp.
La camera era al terzo piano senza ascensore, cosa che per me non è un problema. Però bisogna tenerne conto prima di prenotare. La mia finestra non era sul duomo, ma ero stato informato prima.

Chockerande första intryck. Boendet levde inte alls upp till förväntningarna. Rummet vi fick visades inte alls vara som på bild, tvärtom. Det var smutsigt, hårigt, kryp på golven och i duschen. Vi skulle stanna två nätter men valde att enbart stanna under en natt.

Reviewed Jun 4, 2026Das Zimmer ist modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Der Check-in hat hervorragend funktioniert – alle notwendigen Informationen und Anweisungen wurden unkompliziert per WhatsApp übermittelt. Da ich nachts angereist bin, fiel mir auf, dass das Treppenhaus recht dunkel ist. Wenn man sich vor Ort noch nicht auskennt, kann es etwas schwierig sein, die Lichtschalter zu finden. Dennoch hat letztendlich alles problemlos funktioniert. Die Lage ist wirklich außergewöhnlich: direkt am Dom und damit ideal für einen Aufenthalt in der Stadt. Absolut empfehlenswert.
Das Frühstück hat mich etwas enttäuscht. Die Bäckerei (Prestipino)selbst ist hervorragend, jedoch umfasst das Frühstückspaket lediglich einen Cappuccino und ein trockenes Brioche, ich konnte nicht tauschen und auch nichts anderes auswählen. Außerdem darf man sich nur im Innenbereich hinsetzen.

No puedo calificar al personal porque no hubo servicio de habitación. Tres días con las mismas toallas no estuvo bueno. Difícil calibrar la temperatura de la ducha. No así la de las demás canillas.

Reviewed May 3, 2026Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per due notti. La posizione è davvero eccezionale: si esce e si è direttamente in Piazza Duomo, comodissima per visitare tutto a piedi. La camera era pulita, ben organizzata e con spazi ampi. Dotata dell’essenziale, non ci è mancato nulla durante il soggiorno e abbiamo trascorso due giorni davvero piacevoli. Una nota super positiva e molto apprezzata: nel minibar era presente una bottiglia d’acqua da due litri, un’attenzione rara ma davvero utile, soprattutto dopo il viaggio. Un piccolo dettaglio che fa la differenza e dimostra cura verso il cliente. Nel complesso siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti e lo consigliamo.

Una delle stanze era vicina al locale caldaia e ogni volta che qualche ospite apriva il rubinetto dell'acqua partiva la caldaia facendo rumore e anche 3 condizionatori posizionati in balcone vicino alla camera da letto provocavano rumore durante la notte.

Reviewed Mar 3, 2026Ubicació boníssima al costat de la plaça del Duomo de Catania, en una cantonada amb un carrer peatonal però amb molta activitat. L'accés és complicat, són tres pisos sense ascensor. L'habitació és àmplia, silenciosa i neta, molt correcte, vam triar-la sense vistes.
Vam trobar a faltar un tracte més personal, tota la comunicació es va fer per wsp i amb codis d'accés. Al febrer no ens van poder oferir esmorzar perquè el bar que tenen associat estava tancat.

Reviewed Mar 3, 2026Die Lage direkt am Piazza Duomo ist phänomenal! Tag und Nacht kann man den belebten Platz beobachten und trotzdem, dank sehr guter Fenster, ruhig schlafen. Das Zimmer ist groß, auch das Bad. Ein sehr gutes Bett rundet das Ganze ab. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter lief auf Englisch und über WhatsApp ohne Probleme. Die Lage ist ideal für einen Aufenthalt ohne Auto! Catania kann prima zu Fuß oder mit dem Stadtbus erkundet werden. Wir haben Ausflüge nach Syrakus und Taormina mit dem Interbus gemacht. Sehr zu empfehlen: stressfrei, preiswert und ohne Parkplatzsuche.

Reviewed Feb 14, 2026Siamo stati 4 giorni nel B&B di Giuseppe posizionato davanti al Duomo sulla piazza centrale di Catania. Posizione strategica! Tutto era vicino a noi : il centro antico ,le piazze più importanti,i locali ,i ristoranti e le stazioni dei bus . La vista sul duomo era meravigliosa. La camera era pulita ,accogliente ,spaziosa e calda nonostante fosse febbraio. Giuseppe il proprietario ,molto gentile sempre disponibile per qualsiasi problema ci ha mandato utili info x parcheggio, bus e altro prima del check in. Inclusa era anche la colazione al bar della piazza. La pulizia è stata fatta dopo due giorni .
Per noi non era un problema ,ma la B&B era all ultimo piano raggiungibile solo con scale .

Reviewed Jan 6, 2026Finestra con vista su Piazza del Duomo Proprietario reattivo e molto disponibile. Posizione perfettamente strategica rispetto alle attrazioni di Catania Pulizia delle stanze Colazione sotto casa ma con solo 2 opzioni.
Manca il fon nei bagni. Non c’è l’ascensore il che è un problema per chi ha valigie pesanti. Le zanzariere non tengono abbastanza (ho dovuto uccidere qualche zanzara).

受付の方がいないため、チェックインとチェックアウトは、戸惑いました。 31日の夜、隣の部屋の方々が、大きな声で話す、叫ぶ、食器など割れる音で騒々しく、よく眠れませんでした。
