A real Treat, make the time and enjoy going back in the past in style. Breakfast and dinner were a delight.
The food was excellent
The building needs TLC
Old world charm at its best! Pre-dinner drinks on the lawn, view of the Knockmealdown mountains in the distance and beautiful dinner of locally sourced produce. Great choice, quality and value, locally produced and excellently prepared. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. Overall we had a fantastic evening and really enjoyed the food, hospitality and stay.
Very friendly staff and perfect location for the opera
Breakfast made to order, fresh ingredients. Enjoyed the stewed rhubarb and vegetarian breakfast. Regency rooms and décor, added to Country living. Short walk into Cappoquin.
Nice quiet room. Got a good nights sleep. Lovely old house. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. A good place to relax.
No, all good
Breakfast was superb, and dinner exceptional. Beautiful grounds around the house
Nice location in the middle of the nature. Staff was very helpful. The villa is vintage style. It should have been nice stay unless …
Our room was full with moths. Carpet, curtains, everywhere. They need a deep cleaning for the entire villa. I don’t have a problem with vintage style, but I have with the cleaning.
Breakfast was great...I especially enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast. Plenty of parking, with easy access to Cappoquin and Dungarvan.
Lack of WiFi
Everything. A really friendly welcome, beautiful location, amazingly comfortable bed and a really tasty breakfast with plenty to eat.
It was all positive
Peace&quiet, excellent food and excellent setting.
Nothing
Breakfast was lovely and served by very friendly staff. The house and grounds are very impressive and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Bearing in mind that this is a very old house, some of the furnishings are also very old and may not be to everyone's liking and perhaps some updating would help improve the quality of a stay. The price for the property and dinners was at the higher end of our budget, but the food and wine served was of super quality.
Lovely grounds, great staff, great dinner and scrumptious breakfast
Fantastic location, genuine old house ambience, wonderful food, friendly staff
No Tea in our room
Lovely location Great atmosphere Very relaxing
The staff were amazing from Betty who served my dinner to the lady who served breakfast & the owners themselves. You will not be looked after better. You will not get friendlier folks. The rooms are huge & very comfortable
The shower very weak but that’s down to the age & type of property. I have experienced this problem before in other houses around Ireland. Simple solution enjoy 😊 a bath
Lovely old fashioned but very comfortable ambience. Very friendly staff. Didn't miss the bar as any drinks we wanted were readily available. Happy to recommend and would like to revisit.
Fantastic service and brilliant breakfast
It's not a dislike but more for people booking to remember that this is a period style house and stay and to remember that it is not a modern build
The house is fab food is lovely thr welcome is v welcoming
Breakfast was great, staff were great .. The accommodation was so lovely and relaxing .
Very hospitable welcome with tea & scones Friendly service from the staff
The staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and warm. The breakfast was hot and good. The area is fantastic 👌
The room was cold the first few hours. The toilet wasn't flushing properly.
Lovely friendly staff. Food really good.
Overall good
The sink in the bed room
Staff were lovely. The cooked breakfast was amazing. Loads of lovely food and nice touches like warm scones brought to the table. The location is quiet and peaceful with a nice garden. Very relaxed atmosphere. Nice country house experience.
In general the room decor was what I would expect from an old country house. The duvet cover however was very dated and brought down the decor in the whole room. A nice white duvet cover with a suitable throw and matching cushions would have improved the room experience 10-fold.
