From the size of the room to the beautiful decor to all the small touches, as well as condiments available, an honesty bar, a small medical pack, all in case it was needed. Lovely linen on the beds and hot water with great pressure in the shower/bath. A very warm welcome from Yolandi and Gerhard. This is definitely our place of choice to stay in the Louis trichardt area.

The cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated, everything we needed was at our disposal. 2 bedrooms, connecting rooms perfectly fine for a family with little ones. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. If we find ourselves in Makhado, Rose & Ivy will be our first choice.

It was good lasagna and it was very nice we didn't have to go out again to buy food after a long day drive. Breakfast was very very good; I espacially loved the pancakes :-)

Reviewed Aug 22, 2024We did a last minute booking and the accommodation did not disappoint. The hosts went out of their way to cater for any need. There was a fully stocked kitchen , just in case you did not bring your own food along, with a full price list for any item that you might need. This felt like being at home. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful cottage and the host recommended to go for breakfast after our parkrun at Beloftebos, which also did not disappoint. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area.
