Really modern, the light remote was good. Really cosey and some really nice things. (Special shoutout for the Yorkshire tea!)

No microwave (not the end of the world)

We had such a fantastic stay in this cosy cabin. Amazing views, comfy bed and a fire pit for cold nights. The "echo" speaker was also handy for check out, loved the song. The toilet/shower block is outside but we had great weather so this didn't bother us.Great communication from Phillip and Christina.

We really liked how clean, tidy, and beautiful the place was. The firepit experience was also a highlight that we truly enjoyed.

The only thing we didn’t like was the toilet setup, as it was a bit inconvenient having to go outside and use the key, especially at night. But overall, the place has a really good vibe and we enjoyed our stay.

Private, quiet, beautifully set up & decorated. Super comfy bed & pillows. Tech, ‘Echo’ super bonus. Great communication from host very easy check in & check out.

Nothing to heat food indoors even a small microwave or air fryer. A toaster would have been nice too & a small hair dryer.

Quiet and secluded. very cute inside all the amenities you needed a real oasis well thought out layout and interior aesthetics were very cute fire pit was excellent Highly recommend to stay

What a tranquil, beautiful spot!! We could not have more pleased with the quaint little cottage! Everything was utterly spotless, the bed was perfectly comfortable and the sounds of birds made falling asleep easy! The separate bathroom was also spotless! The outdoor lighting, the location, and the hosts ease and promptness with communication made for a perfect overnight stay. 15/10!!

A toaster would have been good, but other than that, excellent little kitchen!!

Beautiful location. Very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation was exceptional, clean, warm and cozy. The bathroom was spacious,and very clean, but would have preferred it attached to the house. Great lighting at night, so felt safe getting to toilet at night. For a quiet weekend away, this would be an excellent choice.

We did very enjoy the environment and all the facilities ! It make us feel at home! Especially the house owner,Philip, prepared some extra gifts and a welcome card for us in advance, just because this is our birthday trip. Thank you Philip! We will remember this special trip forever as well as what you did for us!

Loved how peaceful and relatively private it was. The location was perfect for the event we were attending but it was also close enough to the city to do some exploring. Super tidy and had all the necessities. Would 100% stay again.

The accommodation at Journey's rest was a dream. Not only was it beautiful and private everything about it is beyond our expectations. Jorney's Rest was well thought out, tastefully decorated, equipped with love and care. The evening lighting was beautiful and the lighting equipments was also very high tech. Philp provided great care in his communication before our arrival as well as throughout our stay. It was a magical stay and heartfelt experience. We look forward to future opportunities to stay here again in the future.

Really great service from owner. Lovely welcome note and fresh fruit. Great wee location and just a pleasant place to stay. It is a shame we didn't stay longer to enjoy it more. Great firepit to sit outside and enjoy!!!
