Reviewed Mar 28, 2026Nos encantó estar en medio del desierto con comodidades de ciudad y con una atencion dedicada por parte de Lucila, Juan Diego y Diego. Nos sentimos en ambiente familiar. La comida deliciosa y muy generosa. Pudimos conocer flora y fauna de primera mami, tener la piscina directa al salir de la habitación y disfrutar de atardeceres llenos de color. Tuvimos suerte de ver una noche el cielo Estrellado. Valio la pena la aventura, muy agradecida s con esta oportunidad.

Reviewed Mar 26, 2026El hotel es muy bonito, está bien conservado, bien ubicado; en general la zona se siente segura, además hay varios observatorios muy cerca (Orión, Astrosur); la habitación en la que nos quedamos era amplia, limpia, la cama cómoda, hay wifi, buena señal de celular y tuvimos energía todo el tiempo gracias a los paneles solares. Tienen piscinas por lo que es ideal para ir con niños, en nuestro caso mi hija de 5 años las disfrutó mucho!
El desayuno es generoso y muy rico. La atención, recomendaciones y amabilidad de Lucila y su familia son otro gran plus del hotel!
La carretera interna tiene regular estado pero es cuestión de conducir con precaución.

Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist, dass was uns wirklich nicht gefallen hat. Für den Preis müsste mindestens das Abendessen inkludiert sein!

La literie est de bonne qualité.
La chambre est grande et donne directement sur la piscine.
C’est vraiment un très bel endroit.
Nous étions seuls dans l’établissement donc ce n’est peut être pas le reflet exact de la réalité mais :
- pas de bouteilles d’eau disponibles
- nous avons dîné à la lampe d’appoint car « les panneaux solaires consomment beaucoup »
- pas d’eau chaude dans la douche
Le rapport qualité prix devient alors problématique car pour près de 200€ la nuit en Colombie, on attend des prestations supérieures.

Reviewed Dec 4, 2025A Lucila e sua família são muito gentis, atenciosos e prestativos. Diego, filho da Lucila, também presta serviço como guia local, com uma caminhada rica em informações, vistas bonitas e fotos incriveis. Nos sentimos muito acolhidas. O lugar é muito tranquilo, bonito e com uma decoração própria e familiar. O quarto estava limpo e confortável. O espaço ainda conta com três piscinas, e em uma delas é possível ver o pôr do sol. O café da manhã era gostoso, fresco e bem servido. Recomendo fortemente. É uma experiência memoravel se hospedar no deserto.

Los espacios comunes y las piscinas son muy chéveres y agradables para pasar el día.
La comida es buena (generosa en porción) y el personal del hotel es demasiado querido y atento.
La habitación es cómoda y tiene elementos suficientes.
Llevar repelente sí o sí pues las habitaciones no están bien aisladas y se entran los bichos pues a pesar de haber anjeos, se entran los bichos por el baño o por lugares donde no está bien aislado.
El menú de comidas es muy limitado.
Hace falta un baño social cerca a las piscinas.

Reviewed Oct 12, 2025J’ai beaucoup aimé mon séjour dans le désert de la Tatacoa. Le personnel est toujours présent, très sympathique et avec qui j’ai eu de beaux échanges. Pouvoir payer par carte bleue dans un endroit aussi isolé est un vrai plus ! J’ai adoré la paix et la tranquillité des lieux. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour leur accueil chaleureux. 🌵✨

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025Todo del Hospedaje me encanto, muy tranquilo, fresco, bonito y con muy buena atención. Recomendaría tener más opciones de desayuno.
Lo que no me gustó fue el observatorio que queda al lado. No duramos ni 30 minutos en el lugar porque se nubo y llovió. Nos toco irnos y aun así tuvimos que pagar 60mil pesos cada uno, eramos 2. En el observatorio diagonal a tatacoa selfie vale 10mil, fueron como 2 Horas y logramos ver por el telescopio la luna y otros planetas además de que la charla fue mucho más interesante.

As a Parisian who travels extensively and tends to have high standards, I have to say: Estrella Casa del Angel is an absolute masterpiece in the middle of the Tatacoa Desert!
From the moment we arrived, Lucila and her family welcomed us with warmth and care that made us feel like we were part of their home. Their kindness and attentiveness are unmatched – they truly go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels special.
The property itself is stunning. The rustic yet elegant design perfectly complements the natural beauty of the desert. The pools (yes, plural!) are an oasis of relaxation, and floating in the cool water while surrounded by endless desert landscapes is an experience I’ll never forget.
This is the perfect spot to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life. No distractions, just peace, tranquility, and the magic of the desert. Perhaps more options could be offered for dinner though understandable the location makes it challenging to have a fully functioning restaurant.

(Thanks again to all of you) Do not hesitate to stop for at least 2 nights to perfectly disconnect from everyday life.

Reviewed May 21, 2023This hotel is truly amazing!! Very romantic with great desert views and a gorgeous pool. The staff was amazing and had great attention to detail. Highly recommend staying at least 2 nights to be sure to see the stars and enjoy a full day with the guide provided by the hotel. Also appreciated that they sent the guide to show us the way to the hotel once we arrived at villavieja. Would stay again.
just that the address was a bit hard to find since it’s not the same in booking and google maps but it wasn’t an issue because the hotel sent a guide :)

Reviewed Mar 31, 2023I loved everything there. It’s rustic, yet modern and comfortable. The views are otherworldly. Accommodations were beyond expectations and the staff is very sweet, diligent and will do anything in their power to make you feel at home. This place is literally in the middle of nowhere. Connection with nature is a must, including willing to accept the presence of bugs. However, it’s nice that each bed comes with its own bug net for protection.
The air conditioner started working a bit after we arrived. Would have been nice having the rooms already cold by the time of our arrival. But we simply chilled in the infinity pool until the rooms cooled down.
