Cafe staff is too good.
Cafe items are too expensive. Also have to climb steep 200m and road condition is not at all good.
I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. There is no room service available, only self-service, which was not mentioned beforehand. The mobile network coverage is extremely poor, with little to no signal, making it impossible to stay connected or work remotely. If you’re planning to visit during July, be aware that the situation is even more challenging. Due to the weather and connectivity issues, it is not suitable for working professionals or anyone who needs reliable mobile network access while traveling. The staff were unresponsive and not very helpful whenever assistance was needed. Additionally, the road leading to the hotel is in very poor condition, making access inconvenient, especially during the monsoon season. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel because of the lack of basic services, poor connectivity, unresponsive staff, and difficult access.
We had a very disappointing experience at Moustache Shoja. The café staff’s behavior was not satisfactory. During breakfast, even after requesting, we were informed that only one paratha would be served per person, which felt quite restrictive. The food quality was also below expectations. The chicken served had an unpleasant smell, indicating that it was not fresh . we had to return the dish. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both customer service and food quality for future guests.
Location was scenic. Staff friendly.
Internet was pathetic. Mobile network big issue. Cafe a bit pricey and delayed service.
The location, though the climb off the main road is indeed an inconvenience.
The manager or the front desk person can be more kind and considerate.
The location is at the core of the mountains.Secluded is what makes the property more attractive and beautiful

Had a wonderful stay at Moustache Hostel! The rooms were clean, cozy, and well maintained, and the overall vibe of the place was really comforting. The food was delicious and felt homely perfect after a long day.
It was a very lovely stay with great views and tineky services and staff
The climb even though steep should have some facilty for bags and liggage to be bought up
I recently stayed at Moustache Sojha from 8–10 May 2026. The property itself is beautiful, and the overall vibe was very good. I especially appreciated the hospitality — Harry, Nikhil, and the rest of the staff were friendly, helpful.
However, I faced a few issues during my stay. The Wi-Fi connectivity was not reliable, and there was also a power outage during my visit. Another challenge was the location accessibility — the property is around 200 meters uphill from the road, which makes it difficult to drive or carry luggage up, especially by car. Apart from these issues, the property and the people made the experience pleasant.
Stay was good , food quality could be improved
Food could be little better
Staff was helpful.
Noises of staff from reception balcony. Smell in washroom. No light backup. Food Quality is average.
There is live music every day, and the food is absolutely amazing. The hospitality is outstanding as well. Nikhil and Harish are extremely welcoming and always ready to help. I reached out to them several times for assistance, and each time they handled everything promptly and ensured my issues were resolved. Truly a wonderful experience overall.
Limited food for now during March-2026

Yes, thank you for reaching out, we had a really good time, everyone was so welcoming, the ambiance was warm and cozy, also the calmness of it all has stayed with us, of course I can't ignore the cats, I personally adore animals and appreciate a place where there is co existence and the whole place was set up around cat theme so its been wholesome.
Awesome location, great food - thanku chef! And yes, really cool people.
Had a wonderful stay at Moustache Shoja. It's the best place for those seeking a peaceful and comfortable stay while traveling to Jibhi/Shoja. The staff is super friendly and I must say they don't let you miss home at all, thanks to their hospitality and delicious food at their in-house Jaanis Cafe.
Staff was really polite, humble and helpful. Really had good time with them Food was really good
Cleanness
Great and friendly staff, amazing hospitality!
Room was clean and good
No flexibility to accommodate for late check out even though rooms were vacant.
The staff was polite and extremely helpful. If there was ever an issue, they tried to sort it out immediately. The food at the restaurant was delicious. They even made food without onion and garlic on request for my mum. The rooms were comfortable and had the basic amenities like toiletries, hot water kettle, tea bags and coffee sachets. There were electric blankets as well that are a blessing on cold nights. The view from the private room's balcony is amazing. The location of Moustache Shoja is accessible (however, there's a steep climb to reach the property).
Hardly anything worth mentioning here.
Amazing property, gracious hosts, very warm and welcoming, amazing experience overall. Highly recommended
superb location and staff if you want an offbeat stay. go for it..u will come back feeling happy..thanks to the staffs for being with us..
Property is amazing with pretty view. Location is good too. Staff is friendly. Always smiling and helping others. Overall thumps up !!
We found Food is a bit expensive considering it’s quality and the fact that nothing is close by to eat
I had an amazing stay at Moustache Hostel! The place has a fantastic vibe with a perfect mix of comfort and style. The view is absolutely breathtaking, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and ideal for meeting fellow travelers. The food was a highlight - delicious, fresh, and far beyond my expectations for a hostel. Special shoutout to the management team they are so helpful and lovely, always going out of their way to make sure guests have the best experience. Highly recommend this place for a memorable and cozy stay!

Loved how friendly and helpful the entire staff is, the whole vibe of the cafe and people there was exceptional.
The property’s location, staff, and food were all exceptionally good, and my friend and I truly enjoyed our time there. Special thanks to Willy Bhai, Yogesh Bhai, Heera Bhabhi, and all the staff members—you guys were amazing! I would love to visit again.
The two areas that could be improved are electricity and WiFi, as it was a bit of a hassle to work smoothly while doing WFH
I had a fantastic stay at Moustache Shoja for 3 days. The hospitality here is top-notch, and the entire staff goes above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable. It’s such a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Special thanks to Yogi Bhai, Velli Bhai, Shreya Didi, and all the staff for their exceptional service. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and made sure every need was met with a smile. The overall vibe is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting the area!
Everything about this property is super. The ambience, staff, food, stay. I am definitely going to recommend this place to my friends and family. And will surely visit soon ❤️ Shoja has my heart now❤️❤️
There is nothing.
I loved the overall atmosphere—the place, the people, and the vibrant energy that brought everything together. It's a wonderful spot to relax, be yourself, and have a great time.
The food prices were a bit high for me, but aside from that, I have no complaints.
The stay was very comfortable and the rooms were neat, having amazing veiw. The food is exceptional tasty. The host is very helpful and friendly. A must stay in Shoja.
Beautiful property ! Villayat Ali was so welcoming thank you so much for making our stay comfortable !
Place.. people management.. food
If I start with the location, Moustache Shoja is situated in a serene spot you’re absolutely going to love. It’s perfect for anyone looking to avoid the usual hustle and bustle—peaceful and scenic, just as it should be. Now, let’s talk about their hospitality—5 stars all the way! The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. And their hot chocolate? A must-try. Seriously, it’s the kind of indulgence that makes you feel all warm and cozy inside. Speaking of cozy, their café is hands down one of the most comfortable and inviting places you’ll come across. Whether you’re catching up on work, reading a book, or simply soaking in the vibes, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. And here’s the cherry on top: they’ve got their own in-house kitchen. Now, if you’ve ever traveled to a mountain destination, you know how rare it is to find truly good food. But Mustache exceeds expectations with a massive menu that covers pretty much everything you could crave. In short, it’s a complete package—beautiful location, stellar hospitality, and food that hits all the right notes. Highly recommend!
The host was very warm and welcoming and the property was beautiful!
Amazing view, location is so beautiful Place is well maintained and very clean People were very approachable Quick service I will again go and stay there for more days

Property was perfect for workation, just ine thing you have do trek to reach the hostel otherwise it has all the good vibes. Just maintain the quality. Whole team of moustache shoja is like family which makes super comfy environment.
Nothing is dislike just few recommendations. Just to reach to hostel feasible road as most of the cab drivers also says no, next thing hostel cafe has good vibe but breakfast menu is way to expensive. Little disappointed on that front but overall great experience
Moustache Shoja was an amazing stay! Clean rooms, spotless washrooms, and picturesque mountain view made it a peaceful retreat. The food was fantastic at Jaani's cafe . Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!
Amazing location, superb rooms, friendly staff, incredible views
**Amazing Stay at Moustache Hostel, Shoja, Himachal Pradesh** I recently stayed at Moustache Hostel in Shoja, Himachal Pradesh, and what can I say? It was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The good vibe started even before I arrived. Yogesh, the manager, was super kind and made sure I had all the info I needed to get there safely from McLeod Ganj. His guidance was spot on and made my journey so much easier. I rolled into the hostel around 6:30 AM, and wow, the place is magical. There’s this lush green mountain right in front, and the mornings are just so peaceful and serene. There’s also a waterfall about 45 minutes downhill, and you can hear the calming sound of the water no matter where you are on the property. It’s the perfect soundtrack whether you’re chilling in the common area or hanging out at the cafe. I ended up making some great friends while I was there. Our routine was pretty chill: working in the mornings, breaking for a trip to the quiet waterfall where it was just us and nature. No crowds, just pure calm. The food at the cafeteria was amazing—seriously tasty stuff. The staff, all from Himachal, were always smiling and super friendly. Their natural resting face was a smile, how awesome is that? One evening, I explored a nearby village about a 20-25 minute trek away. It’s a small place with a tiny school and about 50 residents. Apple orchards are everywhere, it’s like the Himachali version of Mumbai’s roads. The hostel’s cafe is a cozy spot with board games and painting supplies. The mountain view from there is just pure magic. I stayed in a dorm that was really well-designed, giving everyone their own space and privacy. Not your typical cramped dorm vibes at all. The bathrooms—big, clean, and super hygienic. I had some really considerate dorm mates, which made the stay even better. The staff were always approachable and ready to help with anything I needed.
I also met Shantanu, the property lessor, and the owner, both really nice and down-to-earth guys. It blew my mind to learn that the whole place was built by the owner and his family. I stayed for five nights and honestly wished I could have stayed longer. One day, a group of us from the hostel went to Raghupur Fort. It’s a 40-minute drive plus a 90-minute trek, and totally worth it. Although there were lots of nearby cafes, I didn’t bother visiting any because the views from the hostel's cafe were unbeatable. All in all, Moustache Hostel in Shoja is the kind of place where you don’t just stay, you experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to soak in some Himachali magic. **Rating: 5/5**
The hospitality is top notch, pristine surroundings and rooms, the aura feels so homely ya'll are definitely going to extend your stay.
Rooms were spacious. They were easily accessible. The cafe is huge and has a wonderful terrace. Staff is absolutely outstanding. We also interacted with the owners who live nearby. They were very nice and pleasant to talk to. The manager partner Yogesh is the driving force behind the lovely team. He is resourceful and interactive , gave us a lot of tips. The cafe has a large collection of books all of them worth a read. The delightful kittens are a plus and keep you entertained.
Just a feedback. The room needs functional chappals. It also can benefit from a space for hangers. Food can have more variety. Specially local cuisine. Rest is outstanding.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property nestled in the hills, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The location is absolutely breathtaking, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. It’s the perfect place for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. The rooms were clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy atmosphere that was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the nearby trails. The property also had plenty of outdoor spaces where we could enjoy the fresh mountain air and relax with a cup of tea while soaking in the views. What truly stood out was the hospitality – the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay, and the local cuisine they served was delicious and authentic. The property’s location is also ideal for those looking to explore the region, with easy access to nearby attractions and hiking routes. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back!
They should include more items in menu
I had a wonderful stay at this property! The location was stunning with beautiful mountain views, providing a peaceful retreat. The interiors were tastefully done, adding to the overall comfort. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even better. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. The host Yogesh made sure we are having a good stay and was always available for any help. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a scenic setting!"
Host Yogesh was very welcoming, and arranged everything we asked for had one rememberable bonefire with him. Definitely one of the best host i have encountered. Staff was also very generous to help us out

Loved the vibe the moment we entered. Yogesh is an extremely gracious, respectful and energetic host who’s always excited to make your stay better. The entire staff is very sweet. The space is beautiful, has an amazing view of the massive valley. The village of Shoja above is a short hike from the property , again very pretty.
the location of the hostel is mesmerizing, the manager Yogesh is extremely kind and sweet and so is the entire staff at the property. The cleanliness and comfort at the hostel is spot on. Additionally the food at their cafe is SO GOOD! they make sure to accommodate your special requirements and needs (their green chutney is the best) AND the best part - Jaani and Jenny. You need to go there to meet them!
