White Pine Bush Cabins

We loved everything about this property, the tranquil location made for restful evenings after full on days at the funeral of a family member. Comfortable beds and everything needed for our stay!

Enjoyed the tranquility of this space, nice drive and friendly hosts.

I loved the bread they made yummy.

Was no outdoor bath or spa.

Homemade bread on arrival was so lovely. Very cute and private setup. Great get away from the city. Close enough to Whakatane. Great value for money.

A beautiful place to be, be try peaceful and relaxing. Nice getting to just let ourselves in , self check it and out is great. The bread was so yummy and made our day !

Liked everything, it was nice and cozy. liked the idea of bread included in the kitchen items.

The bed was not very comfortable.

Great location as a break in travel between the east coast and Auckland and away from the local towns. Restful and quiet, with the delights of rural landscape and loads of birds in the adjacent dam. Also loved the big deck for enjoying a coffee and a slice of the warm bread provided by the hosts. Nice friendly dog too.

Worst pillows ever. Two like bricks and the other two like a jumble of loose marshmallows in a bag. Also midges but you can't control that other than applying your own bug spray.

Nice and peaceful, the cabin was clean and everything in the kitchen you need for a short stay, beatifull countryside views

Cool place, right in the country

Nothing was clean, got there, last guests towels on the floor of the bathroom. bed wasn’t made nor were the sheets changed. Had to wash the towels myself rubbish bin was full, kitchen tea towels were in a pile on the kitchen bench

The location was great, surroundings were peaceful and calming.

I loved the property, only thing was there was only enough milk for 1 coffee. Just needed to be more prepared and buy some milk

Remote rural location. Charming duplex with private patio shaded with a huge dhade sail. Funky tall bed. Overlooking fields and paddocks. Self check-in

When we arrived cabin were stiffling hot inside and took a bit of time to cool once all windows were opened.

My partner and I really enjoyed the privacy and the lay out of the cabins with the large deck looking out onto the valley was lovely. The home made bread was a warm welcome :) with real butter and good quality coffee to wash it down was a lovely touch! My photos don't do justice to the overall experience. The shower pressure was awesome, helped to wash the dust of the working week away and the bed was amazing! Would definitely visit again!

Lovely, quiet location, very accomodating hosts. Excellent set up, with everything we needed. Nice & private, the self checkin/ checkout was handy. Lovely home made bread on arrival ( which was delicious, thank you! ) A Very relaxing couple of days. We will be back!:)

Location was amazing, laid back location and outside cooking facilities, you are only 10km from great beaches and the bread was delicious, a real bonus

The lounge seat was uncomfortable and the space really required cooling as the temp inside was high

Everything was amazing!! Beautiful location, hassle free communication. Absolutely loved the accommodation.

We didn’t realise our child’s bed would be in a separate cabin- this was unexpected - perhaps we didn’t look at the layout properly- it would have been nice to have a hairdryer

I love everything about the property, the location, the coziness of the the accommodations and especially love the privacy we had. Overall 10/10 experience.

Beautiful modern spacious country cabin. Freshly baked bread waiting for us. Amazing night sky.

Lovely fresh homemade bread was yum, and our two dogs loved sitting on the deck looking over the farm. The stars at night were a bonus to see and as a photographer, I enjoyed the misty morning! We had everything we needed and enjoyed our three nights, great communication as well.

A wee gate on the entrance would be nice but I am sure it will be on the one-day list, we will definitely book again.

Beautiful starscape at night. Great contactless check-in. Owner had left loaf of fresh bread for us.

Shared rural space with other farms close-by - loud drumming noises from nearby house. Also had to be wary with our reactive dog.

The cabins were well equipped with everything we needed, we really enjoyed the lovely peace and quiet, the outdoor seating was a great place to hang out, and the freshly baked bread upon arrival was a real bonus which we really enjoyed.

Visiting from Australia (almost 30yrs) being able to enjoy nature without the worry of snakes and poisonous spiders. The great view of the ranges and enjoying country style living of NZ. Also a great to be in close proximity of Whakatāne and my hometime Kawerau.

Maybe the flies when opening up the cabin to let the fresh air flow through, but very minor in comparison to Australia.

Last minute booking. Easy check in. Lovely and accommodating hosts with a hot baked bread loaf on arrival (delicious) . Location spectacular, relaxing and replenishing. Cabins are beautiful, clean, well maintained and had thoughtful little touch you wouldn't normally expect. Animal friendly. Great value for money. I would describe my stay as Secluded Retreat Escape. The bed. Too hard

The view was amazing. We turned up to a lovely warm cabin (stayed in the valley cabin) and found some delicious homemade bread on arrival. There's a deck with a BBQ and outdoor furniture (but we were there in winter so didn't use them but still had a lovely view with the huge windows in the cabins. The kitchen was well thought with all the utensils you need and lots of.linnen supplied. The owners were fantastic at communicating as well and we got visits from the friendly farm dog and hens which was really nice. Would love to stay here again when visiting the region 😊😊

Great place in a lovely setting. We didn’t see the hosts, but they had setup everything to require minimal contact, which suited us fine. The bread on the bench at arrival was a nice touch and the view overlooking the cows was really nice.

The shower could have been a little cleaner, but otherwise the place was spotless.

A lovely peaceful location just as described. The 2 cabins, linked by a large covered deck felt really luxurious. The host was super friendly, though left us to ourselves, and provided some delicious welcome treats!

No complaints about this lovely accommodation.

The baked bread was the sweetest touch. My partner and I had the best First Valentines Day celebration. Thank you soo much

Beautiful location and view, huge bed and lots of relaxing space. Everything you need for a break away from the noise and fast pace of the city. A loaf of home made bread was waiting for us, still warm, so yummy! A shop and service station 5 minutes down the road and whakatane only 15 minutes away. The owner was really helpful and friendly and only a text or call away for any questions you might have. Would definitely recommend! I will be going back 100%

Great location and comfortable for a rural escape yet close enough to Whakatane. Cosy with a heat pump and kitchen. Loved the homemade bread. Would recommend.

Internet was unreliable. Deck fencing was noisy in the high winds, otherwise fine.

We loved our stay here! Everything was perfectly set up for us and only 20 mins drive to Ohope so we could go and visit people. It was so nice having both units to come and go from and the aircon in the bedroom was wonderful. The view and the sheep right outside- so awesome. Great to get away from the city. Thank you so much!!

Remoteness and privacy. The quietness of the farm and the stunning outlook on the pine tree on the hill. Just the right place for rejuvenation.
