Tolle Lage, interessante Geschichte vom Nicolajhof.Schade, dass es kein Frühstück mehr gibt.

Eigentlich sauber.Austattung war ziemlich alt. Ich habe ein Eckzimmer gehabt, dort gab es komischerweise kein Internet.

Das Hotel ist mit so viel Liebe und guten Ideen ausgestattet. Ein wunderbares Haus mit viel Flair und einer sehr netten Gastgeberin.

Pra entrar, apesar de combinado, não tinha ninguém e apenas um telefone que não atendia. Tive que ir num restaurante pra saber como entrar. Eles conseguiram um contato. O atendimento foi sofrível. Demorei quase duas horas pra entrar

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbüffet perfekt. Große Auswahl an hochwertigen Lebensmitteln.

Wir hatten leider ein Zimmer mit Teppich. Für einen Allergiker total ungeeignet. Die Dusche nur mit Vorhang und das Wasser lief sehr schlecht ab. Kein Ablagemöglichkeiten im Bad für Kulturbeutel.

Eine kleine, aber tolle Pension mit hervorragenden Frühstück

Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich, super sortiert, liebevoll dekoriert und das Personal überaus zuvorkommend und herzlich

Der Verkehrslärm ist relativ gut zu hören, wenn man zum Schlafen ein Fenster offen lassen möchte

Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück

Der Innenhof ist sehr nett und man kann sich selbst Getränke nehmen und diese dort trinken. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut und der Frühstücksraum sehr hübsch eingerichtet.

Leider hatte das Zimmer nichts mit Retro zu tun. Ich hatte gehofft es wäre so wie der Frühstücksraum, aber leider ganz daneben. Das Zimmer bestand aus zwei Betten hintereinander. Daneben war gerade so viel Platz, das man stehen konnte. Das Bad war extrem klein. Wir hatten uns von den Bildern her ganz was anderes erwartet und waren sehr enttäuscht. Auf den Bildern ist so ein Zimmer wie wir es hatten auch nicht annähernd abgebildet. Das war mit Abstand das teuerste Hotel auf unserer Fahrradreise den Donauradweg entlang und mit Abstand das schlechteste Zimmer. Für die Zimmer auf den Bildern hätte ich das gern bezahlt, für das was wir bekommen haben war es das auf keinen Fall wert.

Ein schönes Platzerl, super Frühstück und super tolles freundliches Team

Mal ganz anders waren die Körbe mit dem Frühstücksgeschirr. :-) Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr großzügig, nett und ansprechend hergerichtet, gab von überall was und mehr als ausreichend.

We really liked this accommodation. I traveled with my family and this was one of our favorite accommodations. We used the bicycle to move around the area, it is a wonderful place for this activity. What particularly attracted our attention was the fact that the size of the room is generous, suitable for families and breakfast (great variety of food) . Thank you!

Die alte Einrichtung und Austattung

Central location, very good breakfast, nicely presented and I loved the basket idea for each room. Staff is very friendly and just willing to help. Resi, the dog is cute and available for petting.

The pillows can be a better quality.

We loved the beautiful rooms that were cool and quiet with the best bedding! The breakfast was outstanding - everything fresh, lots of variety and so nicely displayed.

Incredible staff, comfortable clean rooms, great breakfast and super cozy feel. Beautifully decorated and right in the heart of Wachau! We'll be back for sure.

Pleasant stay in restored building with unique decor. Beautiful courtyard and breakfast area. Delicious breakfast. We stayed off season in winter but it's easy to see how it could be a very attractive place for cyclists and others to stay in the summer.

Lack of communication about arrival instructions: had a code to get into the property courtyard, but no instructions on where to go from there in order to find the room keys. Information provided for breakfast times on check in materials was not accurate (off by 90 minutes). I will attribute both to the fact that we visited in the low season. There is no private parking available (as stated on the property listing). There are public parking spaces directly across the street; if they are occupied, there is public parking at a lot on the edge of town (it's a small town, so a few minute walk).

Beautiful location, great breakfast, parking, modern style and close to the amazing Nikolaihof wine tavern.

Breakfast Location Staff Fridge in the kitchem, full of local beverages, maybe I would appreciate also the offer of cheese / charcuterie (something to eat with the wine)

No airconditioning but they do provide a fan

This B&B is beautiful and is immaculately clean and well organised. Our room was large and comfortable and we really liked the shared areas. The courtyard is a splendid place to chill out and breakfast was all home made and delicious. We stayed on our Danube cycle ride and we were very pleased with the secure bike storage. Mautern is easier to access than Krems and we fully recommend this place.

There was nothing to dislike

Centrally located and nice and clean - good value for money and friendly staff. Lovely courtyard and comfortable rooms. The little baskets used to supply guests with the necessities are such a lovely idea - very unique. The coffee machine is amazing and makes delicious coffee - it is an antique wonder of mechanics and should be seen to be believed!

Clean, comfortable, and commodious, with a wonderful breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Communal kitchen, courtyard with picnic tables and bike room were all real pluses.

Has a very relaxed feel about it. The owner also runs the winery and restaurant next door. He is very friendly and personable and he was there at breakfast talking to the guests. It’s almost like you’re his personal guest. The breakfast food quality was excellent. The rooms are retro but comfortable. There are generous public areas.

It was great! NB It’s mis-assigned on Tripadvisor as a restaurant so less people know about it.

This gueshouse was very clean and comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom were all well-equipped. It also has spacous public areas. The staffs were also very friendly and helpful for our staying. The breakfast was pretty nice.

A lovely retro hotel with nice quality liquid soaps in the bathroom, comfortable bed and lovely breakfast, and the owner, no less, helped print a booking I needed for Vienna for me.

quaint little BnB in a small town close to main landmarks of the region. rooms have been decorated in a mid century- 60s style in a clever manner. the bathrooms are original but overall was very clean and centrally located. breakfast was lovely. would highly recommend this place as somewhere with Austrian charm, well priced and as very clean.

Lovely place. It had the most beautiful courtyard with hanging vines and foliage all around. So pretty to have a nice glass of wine in the evening. The room was good,. Quiet, comfortable bed, decent bathroom. We had an independent check-in. I know it bothers some, but we love this because it allows us to arrive at our leisure without anyone having to wait on us. When traveling by bike it‘s always difficult to say exactly when you‘ll arrive, so to have the autonomy to show up anytime is really nice. The check-in instructions were perfect, and we had a safe place for our bicycles. Breakfast was high quality with homemade products.

No complaints, just a suggestion. There is a big kitchen upstairs in the common area, but with nothing in it other than coffee, tea, juice, beer and wine for purchase. It would be really nice to make it into a functional kitchen for guests to share. Having some pots/pans/dishes/cups/flatware would be a great addition for cyclists like us to like to cook at home.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, the courtyard was very pretty. Honesty box for drinks and nibbles.

The rooms are very dated and tired, was not a pretty room we stayed in. The bathroom was tiny and also very dated. Far from the main town.

The place has a very pleasant atmosphere: a courtyard shaded by vines, a spacious lounge with a good supply of beverages including excellent local wines, rooms are nice and clean, breakfast excellent. We felt very well cared for.

Perfect hotel if you are biking the EV6. There is a dedicated secure bike storage room. We received a warm welcome from Julia when we arrived who made sure we had everything we needed and suggested an excellent restaurant for our evening meal. This is a classic hotel that has a beautiful courtyard. Our room was large and spacious and very clean. Not all rooms have a bath tub but ours did. (Room 11) If you are reading reviews about an older gentleman those reviews are not current and are out of date. New owners have taken over and are putting lots of effort into making this a great little hotel. A fridge is located in the common area providing cold beverages if you so choose. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of locally sourced organic products available. We were fortunate in that we could enjoy our breakfast in the lovely courtyard. As an added bonus the hotel is located adjacent to one of the best wineries in the region. Literally next door.

Everything was great.

The owner was super kind, told us about the building’s and hotel’s story, recommended the court yard of the restaurant - and that one was MAGICAL! Breakfast was really good as well, staff was kind and attentive. They have their own line of soaps and creams with their grapes, which was also very cool.

beware that the walls of the rooms are very thin; we unfortunately could hear people talking in the room next to us, and a baby crying during the night in some rooms further.

People during the night noisy drinking in the patio (not sure whether selling alcohol in the fridge is a good idea). Apart from that all was excellent!

I think it's the perfect stay. Charming property in quiet and nice area. Lovely rooms and style, with delicious organic breakfast. Self-service available for local wine, beer and other drinks. I arrived a bike, and there is also a separate storage available. You can reach the next wine years and Krems by walking or cycling.
