Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Its convenient location near the immigration border is its greatest asset if you are looking to cross the border to Thailand. I arrived at 9pm that night and was not keen to rush through immigration, hence I decided to stay a night here. They were very helpful in navigating me through, as no grab cars were available for me when I arrived, and offered me generously to drive me to the stay (at a cost, of course). Otherwise, the check in process was smooth and the room was clean. It provided shower gel, a hair dryer, and the water was hot with adequate water pressure. All in all, I would come here again should I require a stay again if I were to cross into Thailand.
You will need to contact the owner to inform of your arrival and would have to wait some time for him to arrive. Though this was not a huge problem as he arrived promptly and responded fast.

I didn’t prebook because on the app it said I needed cash deposit and asking the hotel if that was still neeeded I didn’t get a response. I risked it to see if there was a room available and there was. No deposit was needed so that should be updated on their site on the app.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2026Wir waren hier ein paar Tage lang.. Unser Motorrad musste repariert werden. Das wurde uns gestattet: alles andere als selbstverständlich! Es gibt direkt neben den Zimmern einen Außenbereich mit gefiltertem Wasser für Kaffee (kostenlos) oder auch kalt. Wasserkocher sowie Aschenbecher und auch Geschirr sind dort ebenfalls vorhanden. An der Rezeption gibt es gekühlte Getränke und Snacks. Einkaufszentrum und 7-eleven sind fußläufig erreichbar. Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet, aber sauber. Handtücher und Bettwäsche auch sauber. Wenn wir irgendwann wieder über die Grenze nach oder von Thailand wollen, werden wir hier auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2026Very cheap hotel, you get what you pay for. Nice views over the town and a nice hanging chair to relax in. Comfy bed and 2 big pillows. Nice communal kitchen area with tea/coffee and water.
The room (G3) is swelteringly hot and the air con does not work well enough to cool it down. Because of its location, it is a good 10 min trek to find it from the station and there is no shops or anything near by. The room itself is very unclean, lots of dirt under the bed and a general sense that it isn’t cleaned properly. The room (G3) main door has a large gap at the bottom and top, so we woke up to two huge cockroaches in the room, a gecko, and lots of bugs,

Reviewed Jan 30, 2026Τα έχει όλα και συμφέρει. Παροχές, τιμή, ησυχία και όλα τα παραπάνω, σαν ένα εξοχικό στην πόλη. Φυσικα η πόλη είναι μικρή, και το βράδυ δεν έχει πολλές επιλογές για φαγητό ούτε φυσικά και νυκτερινή ζωή.
Όλα καλά και ωραία . Δεν υπάρχουν μπύρες καί άλλα ποτά σε όλη τη μικρή μας πόλη.

Reviewed Dec 22, 2025Stayed one night and booked last minute. The receptionist was very welcoming, and they messaged with clear arrival instructions, which was helpful since the homestay is in a village. Location is 6-10mins away from Arked Padang Besar and KTM station, about RM10 by Grab.
Suggestion: improve toilet maintenance, I think maybe due to narrow drainage, so it clogged when showering. Also consider investing to change the curtains due to dust, especially for guests with sinus.

Photos mensongères. Très sale à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur. Loin de tout. Propriétaire hargneux et vulgaire lorsque j'ai dû faire remarquer la saleté. Il m'a jeté dehors et m'a menacé d'appeler la police alors que je quittais le lieu sans problème étant donné le personnel irrespectueux et la saleté générale. En 35 années de voyage en Asie et ailleurs je n'ai jamais vécu un moment aussi pénible. J'ai eu peur. J'aime beaucoup la Malaisie mais pas Padang Besar. Les zones frontières sont généralement peu recommandables pour y dormir mais Padang Besar dépasse les limites. J'ai dû y trouver un autre logement dont le rapport qualité prix était également mauvais. Passez votre chemin et bon passage de frontière.

Reviewed Nov 25, 2025Bilik besar dan cukup selesa. Semua kemudahan wajib di penuhi oleh pemilik hotel. Sesuai sangat untuk sesiapa yang nak menginap untuk apa sahaja tujuan cuma ia sedikit jauh dari jalan utama.
Ada beberapa kelengkapan di falam bilik hotel perlu di ambil kira seperti tempat gantung pakaian di bahagian luar almari, tempat sidai tuala dalam bilik air.. Air dalam bilik air sangat ok cuma air pns dari water heater tidak dapat di selaraskan untuk subu yang di kehendaki.

Filtered water was provided in the communal sitting/eating area just outside the room. The machine also had a boiler so we could make our own tea and coffee (which was also provided).The place is in a quiet, residential area with a lovely view over the trees towards the mountains but we could also walk down to the shops and market in about 15minutes.
