Unfortunately, this accommodation was nothing like we expected. When we arrived, the chalet was visibly dirty, several rooms had a strong unpleasant smell, and the overall hygiene was unacceptable. After we complained, the host sent a housekeeping employee. While the host claimed the apartment had already been cleaned, the housekeeping employee himself admitted that he had not cleaned this apartment for quite some time, which was consistent with its condition and smell. The problems did not stop there. After confirming the booking, the host repeatedly demanded additional payments that were either not clearly disclosed beforehand or were incorrectly calculated. We were asked to pay extra for electricity, water, cleaning, beach access and even a security deposit after we had already checked in. One of the entrance fees claimed by the host was significantly higher than the official fee we paid directly at the entrance. To make matters worse, the entrance door could not be properly secured from the inside, which raised serious safety concerns, especially as we were travelling with our three-year-old child. Because of the combination of the poor hygienic condition, the hidden and inaccurate additional charges, and the security issue, we had no choice but to leave the property immediately and return to Cairo the same day. Our annual holiday is limited to only three weeks, and because of this experience we effectively lost an entire week of our vacation, in addition to a considerable financial loss. We have extensive photos, videos and screenshots documenting the condition of the property, the defective door and the communication with the host. I sincerely hope the issues at this property are addressed so that future guests do not have to experience the same situation.
