Stuga i Småland

This is a beautiful cottage directly on a (what feels like a private) lake with a small dock to sit on. The house is nicely decorated, maybe even a little bit old-fashioned, but we liked it a lot. It fits surprsingly many people and it has its own sauna. You can cook small meals (there is no oven, however). This house really is a gem and perfect for a stay in Småland!

It is customary in Sweden to clean a vacation house after staying in it. However, the list of chores to do is ridiculously long (dusting all furniture is nothing to do after staying 2 nights). Still (and maybe because of it), previous guests obviously did not follow the list as carefully (the fridge smelled awfully like old meat, the floor was in parts sticky, and when we cleaned the floor, we found hair that was definitely not ours). The owners should make sure that a basic cleanliness is provided and they should not rely solely on the guests.

Vi var 4 voksne og manglede en stue i stueplan. Der var mulighed for at sidde i sofa på første sal, dog ikke særlig hyggeligt da det også var 3 sovepladser i samme rum. Køkkenfaciliteterne var fine, dog havde det været rart med en ovn.

Incredibly cute cottage with beautiful lake views.

Unpleasant surprises in attempts to charge for sheets and towels and pressure to complete an extensive cleaning list. These can of course be disregarded by the guest since there is no notice given when booking, but it’s not a nice feeling and creates a cloud over the stay.

Very cosy little stuga with a beautiful view by a small lake and a quite surrounding. It was clean, equipped with the necessities for a small vacation. The host were quickly responding when support was needed, however, a welcome greeting; either physical or by a note, would have been nice. Also, a plus for us was that the sauna room was inside the house.

It would be better for transparency to indicate beforehand that you are expected to clean the accommodation and if you are in need of towels and sheets, you will need to pay extra (in our case, the host didn't charge us since it wasn't informed before booking, which was really professional). The kitchenette is poorly equipped for cooking bigger meals (on a side note, some salt, pepper and oil would have been nice since they are basics).

De omgeving en het huisje was prima in orde

Bedden hadden iets comfortabeler gemalen, en er hadden gordijnen voor de voordeur en wc raam mogen hangen.

De grootte van het huis, het uiterlijk van het huis, het uitzicht op het meer en het gebied.

De algehele inrichting van het huis, er staan wel erg veel spullen in het huis. En de vliegen, het was beter geweest om niet overal vliegenmeppers op gehangen, maar horren voor de ramen te plaatsen. De communicatie over de handdoeken en het beddengoed, dat dit niet inbegrepen is zou feitelijk al duidelijk moeten zijn voor het boeken. En ook de communicatie over de eindschoonmaak kan in onze ogen anders. Schriftelijke instructies dat voor het verlaten van de accommodatie de kleden uitgeklopt moeten worden, de vloer gedweild en alles gestofzuigd moet worden, inclusief de meubels en onder de matrassen gaat wel erg ver en draagt niet bij aan een vakantiegevoel. Het is niet meer dan normaal dat je e.e.a. netjes achterlaat, maar dat je e.e.a. zo schoonmaakt dat de volgende gast er zo in kan trekken is m.i. niet gebruikelijk en je zou dan i.i.g. de optie moeten bieden om deze eindschoonmaak af te kopen.
