Familia encantadora; Jar y su familia te haran pasar un tiempo inolvidable; hicimos hn picnic en los campos de arroz, fuimos al mercado, a unas cascadas...La comida es espectacular, los días que comí mejor en todo el viaje a Indonesia. Habitación espaciosa y muy limpia.

너무너무 좋았어요. 가족들은 내 가족 같은 마음으로 정말 세심하게 챙겨주었어요. 이틀 있었는데 한달살기를 하러 가야겠어요. 아침에 일어나서 로컬 마켓에가고 함께 논밭뷰에서 즐긴 썬셋은 잊을수가 없을것 같아요. 방도 깨끗하고 음식은 너무너무 맛있었어요. 최고의 삼발소스 그리고 싱싱한과일들까지 이 숙소는 어메이징합니다. 참 그들이 데려다준 폭포에서 수영도 좋았어요.

Il y a 3 mosquées autour de chez eux mais on le savait en y allant donc pas de mauvaise surprise : pensez à prendre les boules quies mais ne passez pas à côté d'eux !

Nous avons passé 3 nuits chez Jar et Ruth c’est une véritable expérience dans le voyage. Un moment de rencontre et de partage de leur quotidien. Nos filles étaient ravies de rencontrer Pia, Zinzi et Julia elles ont joué, cuisiné etc. Ruth cuisine super bien. C’est vraiment un plaisir de les avoir rencontrés !

On a adoré notre expérience après le but est de partager la vie des gens, de vivre une expérience typique si pour vous le bruit la nuit est quelque chose de rédhibitoire il est à noter qu’on est proche des mosquées et qu’on les entend beaucoup.

Nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par la famille de Jar et Ruth. Une expérience incroyable avec eux et de beaux moments d'échange !

Une famille au grand cœur, qui nous a accueillis à bras ouverts dans leur maison. La chambre est simple et très propre. Douche froide mais largement compensée par la chaleur de chacun des membres de la famille ! Les repas sont copieux et très bons. Merci Zar et Rus! Merci Zinzi, Zilvia, Andreï et Julia! On a adoré vous rencontrer, jouer, nager, visiter, faire de la poterie, apprendre la langue et les coutumes indonésiennes à vos côtés ! Merci pour votre accueil généreux et joyeux, ce fut un bonheur de découvrir Lombok grâce à vous.

Wir wurden von Jar und seiner Familie unglaublich herzlich empfangen und beherbergt. Das Essen war fantastisch und hätte immer für doppelt so viele Leute gereicht. Wer gerne erfahren will, wie man in Zentrallombok wirklich lebt, ist hier am richtigen Ort. Dazu gehören Moscheen, Hühner und Hähne und eine einfache Ausstattung. Jar hat uns gegen ein kleines Entgeld sein Dorf, Tetebatus Reisfelder, eine Töpferei und einen traditionellen Stockkampf gezeigt. Wir haben einen unvergesslichen Tag erlebt und würden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen.

Absolument tout. C’est le meilleur moment de notre voyage qui nous marquera pour toujours. Jar, Rus et ses enfants nous ont accueilli comme si on était de leur famille. Rus cuisine incroyablement bien et nous a fait à manger tout le long du séjour. Nous n’avons jamais manqué de rien. C’est confortable et très propre. Ils nous ont fait visiter autour de chez eux, nous ont parlé de leur culture, traditions. Ils étaient au petit soin pour que nous manquions jamais de rien. J’espère pouvoir y retourner un jour ! Se fut une belle expérience d être chez l habitant nous nous sommes senti comme à la maison l acceuil très chaleureux les différentes activités cette famille à tout donné pour nous elle s est plié en 4 super expérience de partage pour de très beaux souvenirs. Le repas varié et délicieux très bon rapport qualité prix

Il n y a pas de wifi ni d eau chaude une couverture pour dormir coqs et mosquée à 4h du matin le luxe c est le partage avec la famille je ne retiens que le positif

Venez les yeux fermés ! Jar et Rus sont des hôtes incroyables, généreux, serviables, qui vous accueillent comme si vous êtes des membres de leur famille. Ils nous ont fait découvrir la vie locale en nous invitant à un mariage, nous organisant une journée pour découvrir les différentes cultures aux alentours (riz, ananas, piment, concombre), et les cascades. La cuisine de Rus est délicieuse et abondante. Zinzi, André, Zilvia, leurs enfants, sont tout aussi gentils et prêts à passer du temps avec vous. Le homestay est authentique, au cœur de leur maison, la chambre et la salle de bain sont grandes et confortables. Le rapport qualité / prix est le meilleur que vous puissiez trouver. Merci à cette famille pour cet accueil.

Really amazing local food, always ate very well and certainly never went hungry. Very nice family. Can help you arrange activities in the local area. Overall had a very good time here. Would be good for families/larger groups aswell.

We booked the homestay last minute. But Jar the host was very welcoming along with his wife and children. They were so hospitable and friendly. We also had delicious home cooked meals every day. The rooms are basic, no aircon but clean. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking to experience what daily life is like in Lombok

Pas d'eau chaude dans la douche, surtout apres une grande balade en scooter sous les trombes d'eau. Impossible de dormir car chants toute la nuit venant de la mosquée, mais nos hotes n'y étaient pour rien.

We have spent 5 nights in Zinzi homestay and we loved every minute of it! This is an experience that has definitely shaped us as travellers. You are catapulted in a heartwarming family context. They treat you with the best hospitality possible. You are fed many times a day with exceptional dishes made with love from Rose Riadah and Meme and if you want you can cook with them and witness how they make the best food we have ever eaten since starting travelling. The room where you stay is exceptionally clean and smells fresh - you don't really need much more, the essentials are set up for you in the room. The house is in a village, 5 mins walk from a supermarket and the local market and If you hire a scooter surrender by ricefields. At 4 am you have the Imam singing and praying for 30 mins and you will certainly hear him every single time but we got used to it and we appreciate the real Lombok experience. Jar, the owner, a very sweet and funny man, will entertain you for hours if you wish to and will propose you activities to do nearby ( all worthwhile). You will soon feel like a local :) on our last day we organised a family trip to pink beach in the south of the island and we hired a big van and brought all the family with us (15 people) - it was a memorable day. We will always bring our Lombok family in our heart and we can't wait to see them again soon. Thank you Jar and family for everything!

Wat een unieke ervaring met deze bijzondere gastvrije familie. Een heerlijk rustige plek, weg van het toerisme en back to basic. Vanaf aankomst werden we al hartelijk ontvangen en kwamen de eerste hapjes met thee op tafel. Het gezin met 3 kinderen gaf ons een kijkje in hun dagelijkse leven. Met Jar (papa Zinzi) hadden we gezellige gesprekken en vertelde hij over hun leven in Lombok en de opbouw van hun homestay. Met Purit bracht hij ons naar prachtige rijstvelden, zagen we hoe vrouwen sarongs maakten en woonden we de tradionele Sasak stickfighting bij. De maaltijden die mama Zinzi bereidde met Zinzi en oma: ongelooflijk veel en heerlijk! Wat hebben wij genoten. Onze jarige dochter werd zelfs verrast met gezang en kaarsjes. De avonden waren gezellig, en hadden de kinderen veel lol met elkaar. Oudste dochter Zinzi deed het fantastisch. We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad. Bedankt en zeker een aanrader.

Very friendly and helpful family. My kids loved it there and wanted to even stay more. The area was a bit upon hill, which had very fresh air. Everything was fresh and natural.

As the family is not rich, they haven't been able to afford a shower with warm water, although they helped us very much with getting warm to shower ourselves. The area is a bit far the seaside and main shopping mall. But near very near the rijani mountain for hikers!

If you want a true Lombok (Sasak) experience, this is the perfect place to stay. The homestay is modest but very clean, plus what makes it special is the wonderful family with their huge welcoming hearts. The home-cooked food was absolutely delicious—and if you’d like something different, you can simply buy special ingredients at the local market, and they’ll prepare a fantastic meal for you. They were even thoughtful enough to offer me earplugs for the early morning prayers, which shows how much they care about their guests. During my stay, I truly felt like part of their extended family—taking it slow, walking around the rice fields, and enjoying the rhythm of everyday village life. Jar and Rusmini went out of their way to welcome us into their home, we were greeted with warmth and immediately the delicious food began. The family were kind enough to invite us to eat with them and spend time chatting and snacking with them and the extended family. The tour we did with Jar was great and showed the rural life of Lombok. The food and hospitality were the highlight of this stay. If you are looking for a genuine homestay you won't regret coming here. As already mentioned in other reviews, expect an early wake-up from the Mosques and cockerels next door (4am ish). It didn‘t detract from our stay. Thank you Jar and Rusmini for an unforgettable stay, we miss you and the banquets!

Amazing local experience within the amazing familly. Amazing, various food is given for the meals (i asked for local breakfast which was great experience too) in quantities and variety you cant imagine. You can also get organized trips to the beach / monkey forest-waterfalls- rice fileds or other taxi drop off.

Das war ein absoluter Glückstreffer! Wir wurden stutzig als wir all inclusive homestay gelesen haben und mussten es einfach ausprobieren. Die Familie ist so liebenswert und das Essen von Rose war unglaublich! Es ist nicht vergleichbar mit den ganzen Warungs in denen wir vorher gegessen habt... Das ist wirkliche indonesische Küche, und es war so viel das wir nie alles essen konnten. Abgesehen von dem Essen haben wir wir hier die nettesten Menschen überhaupt kennengelernt. Sie haben uns alle Highlights in Tete Batu und Umgebung gezeigt. Und es sind Erinnerungen die ich niemals vergessen werde. Jar und seine Familie wurden zu unseren zweiten Familie. Ich würde jederzeit wieder bei ihnen einchecken. Eines meiner besten Erlebnisse in Indonesien! Deswegen, kamen wir auch noch mal zurück. Danke für die gemeinsame Zeit! Unbezahlbar.

We loved every minute we spent at Zinzi‘s Homestay. Our guest family put in a tremendous effort to make this an unforgettable and authentic experience. We shared every meal, the food was incredible. At the same time it never felt like an obligation to spend the time with the family. We always felt like we have our own space. Our host also took us to some local events, showed us around and was super helpful with any kind of further questions regarding our travels. All together our short visit felt like making friends with the family. We’ll come back for sure.

Een fantastisch verblijf in 2 kamers daadwerkelijk bij de mensen thuis. De eigenaar neemt je overal mee naar toe (o.a. stokgevecht, plaatselijke markt, watervallen, pottenbakken, weverij) en het eten was ook verrukkelijk. Het hele gezin helpt mee om er een geweldige ervaring van te maken.

Het enige nadeel is de oproep tot het gebed van de naastgelegen moskeeen en de hanen 's ochtends vroeg. Maar dat heb je bijna overal op Lombok.

From the moment I arrived, Jar, Rose, and their family made me feel at home and very well fed. I wanted to escape the chaos of Kuta and it was so lovely to stay here for a more authentic experience. I felt like part of the family as we shared meals and chatted about our cultures. It was so fun hanging and playing with their girls. Jar organized various activities in the area such as scooter rides to the rice fields, a weaving workshop, and a trip to the local market. Rose was so kind and did my laundry during my stay as well as non-stop cooked the most amazing meals! This experience was just what I was looking for—the real Lombok!

Their house is near a mosque so expect early wake-up call to prayers!

Tout était parfait, on ne peut pas parler de personnel mais bien d'une famille qui vous accueille avec beaucoup de simplicité et d'authenticité. Les chambres sont très simples avec l'essentiel. Eau filtrée à disposition, nous avons eu la chance d'arriver un dimanche donc tous les enfants de la famille étaient là. Nos filles ont passé 2 jours géniaux. On se sent vraiment comme à la maison. Jar et sa femme Russ sont aux petits soins. Cuisine excellente car c'est un tout inclus avec 3 repas par jour. Ils nous ont amené dans des lieux supers. Enfin une expérience authentique. Vous êtes à 20 min de scooter des rizières en terrasse (location possible sur place ou chauffeur sur demande - en plus) et à 5 min à pied du centre du village.

The family is very welcome and hospitable. Mom cooked delicious local meals, so we were able to enjoy traditional dishes. They took as to the rivers and local places during our stay. The father Jar speaks English well, so there was no trouble with communication. During our trip to Lombok we came back to this homestay again because of the family and their daughter Pia. She is very nice kid and made our stay unforgettable. We played with her all days long, she is very clever and understanding kid, which is surprising at her age. The room and the house is clean, they manage to maintain it well. We are willing to come back again there! I can say that they become our second family in Lombok.

There is no hot water if it’s a problem for you. Locals there usually don’t have it.

If you're looking for a truly authentic experience, this is the perfect place. From the moment we arrived, Zar and Ros welcomed us like members of their own family. Zar is funny and speaks good English, and his wife is an incredible cook — every meal and snacks was a treat (let’s say we ate way too much during our stay but holiday holiday 😂). Life with them is simple and genuine. Everything is included — three delicious meals a day, water, tea, coffee, and snacks — so you can just relax and follow the family's rhythm. One day, they invited us to join them and their extended family to the beach, which turned into an unforgettable memory. We also visited a local pool, I went to the barber with Zar and even got to see chicken fights. To fully embrace the experience, we recommend staying at least two or three days. It gives you the time to truly connect with the local lifestyle and the people. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom. They even did our laundry for us, which was such a kind gesture. We had a wonderful time with this family and really hope others will have the chance to share in this special experience. Our experience at Zinzi's homestay was great! If you want to have a look in the daily life of the people from Lombok, you are at the right place. During the day you can travel with Jar if you like to sightsee. Especially if you had no plans like us, he can fill the day depending on what you want to see :). We booked the accommodation for 2 nights. Jar and his wife were very welcoming. All 3 meals of the day were delicious, with a wide variety of choices.

Jar wants to take you to the highlights in the area and Russ cooks the most delicious dishes. And meanwhile the kids want to play with you and teach you new things. I really felt part of the family. Stayed with a very very friendly and happy local family in a village just over an hour from Kuta! Was great to get away from the busy touristic area and experience true Lombok tradition and culture. Jar and Meme were extremely accommodating, far beyond expectations and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was memorable. I will always remember my stay here and recommend to any of my friends that come to Lombok.

Traveler guys from all over the world , if you’re looking for something very special and unforgettable, stay here! I was sure we were going to have a special experience here when I had booked, but the reality went far over our expectations. Jar, the owner and his lovely family are all wonderful people who made us feel at home from the first moment, and they speak English well, so we could also learn a lot about the life in Lombok. We got the most delicious food every day that Mimi (his sister) cooked for us, and could also explore the island from here, thanks to Jar’s help and guidance, and the central location of the place (only 15 mins drive from central Tete Batu). The place (and also the neighborhood) is clean, comfortable, and due to the higher altitude of the village, airconditioning is absolutely not needed. It’s a genuine local experience, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it, even for longer stays. I can say only the bests about our time at Zinzi’s and hope we will have the opportunity to go back in the future.

Our stay at Zinzi’s was by far the best experience we’ve had in Bali and Lombok! We are a Canadian family travelling with our children to learn more about the world and different cultures, and sometimes it’s difficult to get past the “tourist bubble”. We were looking for a way to experience something more authentic, and at the same time support local families (not just hotels owned by foreigners). Our stay with Zarkasi (nicknamed Jar) and his family was everything we hoped for, and so much more! Jar, his children and his extended family were the most gracious and welcoming hosts we have ever met. His sister-in-law Meme cooked beautiful meals for us that catered to our kids’ limited tastes, and took us to visit the market, the local Independance day celebrations, and made us feel part of the family. Jar’s lovely children and their cousins rapidly became great friends with our kids. Jar went above and beyond on everything to make sure we were comfortable, and took us to visit women doing traditional weaving and pottery, and also arranged for a driver to pick us up in Kuta and drop us off to our next guesthouse. We were all very sad to leave each other!

Nothing! The two rooms are simple but comfortable, and the private bathroom was very clean, with everything you need. We also were worried about not having AC but the area is at a higher elevation than the costal areas of Lombok, so we didn’t even need the fan. Only piece of advice: being earplugs if you are a light sleeper because this is the heart of Lombok, i.e. “the land of a thousand mosques”. All part of the authentic cultural experience! :)

Mr Jar the owner daily bring us food,fruits, tea or coffee, informations about any kind of useful things for a better life. May Allah bless his family with long, healthy positive life

this was truly the best thing we could have done when we came to lombok. we feel we have become part of this beautiful family - Zarkasi's children and wider family are so wonderful and Zarkasi himself is a fantastic host. We were taken to see how they weave sarongs and to the local village market which were both fantastic experiences. The food here is also delicious and there is a never-ending offer of tea or coffee! if you are looking to immerse yourself in indonesian culture and to spend time with a lovely lovely family, please consider staying here. This homestay is one of the best things we have done since coming out to Indonesia, from hitchhiking with family to staying with locals. This family is so warm and the owner Zilvia is an amazing person with the biggest heart. His daughters and brother are incredible. I have nothing but amazing things to say about them and their home. They Brought us in made us dinner and breakfast, showed us around the village and in the morning we had fresh coconuts from the tree. I will return and I feel as apart of the family as anybody could. The property didn’t have wifi but zilvia went out to get us hotspot packages which gave us internet. Truly talk about going out of his way to make us feel comfortable and welcome<3 thank you zilvia for everything you and your family did for us

Zi is an incredible host. Stay here for an authentic homestay. Zi made me dinner and then took me to the local market the next morning to get ingredients for a traditional breakfast. Would highly recommend.

I had the most amazing time at Zinzi’s Homestay. The family you stay with is extremely kind, welcoming and open. Jar (the host) is a great person who has a lot of knowledge about the location, and is willing to take you on various tours. I had a cooking class where I learned to make local food, and I went with his sister in law to the market. All the food I had was shared with the family. This family takes you in as a member of the family: a beautiful experience. If you want to experience the ‘local’ life and culture of central Lombok I can only recommend! You will have an amazing time for sure!
