The beach villa was fantastic, we had a lot of private space for perfect chilling and relaxation. The beaches are nice, we have seen many sharks and turtles and colorful fishes at the reefs. The stuff is very very kind, I would like to say thanks for Gowtham, he was very very kind and helped a lot. Also was really nice meet with Didi. The food is so nice, we stayed 11 nights and we could always choose something new.

My stay at Coco Bodu Hithi was amazing The island is full of activites and lots of things to do, they also provide snorkling equipments I loved the food at air restaurant and Aqua restaurant, super delecious and many options!! Thanks to Malika who guided us and assisted us with everything we needed. Venky at the bar is so nice and he made our stay really memorable !!

The lights inside the room arn’t strong enough but windows are big and sunlight can access the room

The location is absolutely stunning, with a lush, well-established jungle covering the island, beautiful sandy beaches, and vibrant coral reefs to explore. We stayed in the water villas, which were perfectly located close to some of the island’s most beautiful coral areas. The staff were exceptional, and we truly appreciated the care and attention that went into making our stay so special. A special thank you to Sudip and Mohsin from the Air restaurant for their outstanding service—their professionalism, warmth, and dedication made a lasting impression.

Amazing people make this place special besides it's beautiful landscape and sea world like sharks, turtles, colorful fishes. The food is extraordinary,great chefs. Very attentive and helpful happy staff! Waiters,cleaners, reception people were so nice with our little daughter Mimi, we will definitely come back, highly recommended! Kurz und knapp, wir eine Familie 2 Erwachsene 3 Kinder reisen generell sehr viel, Villen in sehr schlechten Zustand, essen ist ok, Riff ist schön und einfach zu erreichen, Organisation am Flughafen absolut daneben und nicht 5 Sterne ä, Check in komfortabel, alles in allem ein altes 4 Sterne Hotel das massiv an Investitionen bedarf.

Still pricey like everything else in the Maldives

Everything about his luxury hotel was flawless. We were upgraded to a Residence overwater villa without even asking and it is the best hotel villa we have ever stayed in. The staff were really lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The island is literally paradise, I'm already thinking of booking again next year.

If I were pushed to make any improvements I would maybe suggest seating couples separately from families with small children in restaurants as the majority of couples I imagine are there for a quiet, romantic holiday.

Beautiful resort with stunning overwater villas and an amazing reef right at the villas. Excellent snorkeling with turtles and lots of fish. Food was outstanding, especially the buffet and breakfast. The Christmas Gala was too way too expensive

We're repeaters. Although the weather was not so sunny, some rough winds and there were some rainy days as well. We felt very good and enjoyed our time at the water bungalow and on the island. And.. Loren (19 years at Coco) and Artur from the Grill bar were every day a highlight for our stay. They give the stay an extra touch of feeling welcome.

I like their dinner and lunch buffet service

The property seemed old and their sitting lounge was worn off with old and dusty sofas and broken furniture. It didnt seem like luxry water resort to me. It wasnt that kept together instantly made me regret. Even a beach vila was better and a normal hotel in Male was better in that way.The host assigned to us was not helpful kept asking him to help us arrange some activities for us but he replied back late and we did no activity at all. The staff has a bias they are more keen and friendly towards white people. The host failed to even tell us what activities were complimentary for us and we got to know it very late ,when we tried to book the activity not knowing it was complimentary for us.

The property is perfect in all ways! The staff, the service, the cleanliness, the food, everything is just perfect and very convenient for adults!! The staff is very kind and helpful and the cleanliness is beyond perfect! Recommended

Расположен достаточно близко от Мале. Трансфер комфортный. Нам сделали апгрейд номера на чуть более лучший, за что отелю отдельное спасибо. Персонал весьма дружелюбный. Сам остров приятный - хоть и небольшой, но много зелени. Одна дорожка сквозь остров - красивая, хоть и короткая - можно за 10-15 минут пройти неторопясь весь остров. Понравилось питание по системе шведский стол - достаточно разнообразно и вкусно. Обычная вода подается бесплатно, что большой плюс. На завтраках есть соки, чай, кофе. Фрукты есть всегда. Прекрасный сноркелинг - есть несколько удобных локаций, можно увидеть акул, раз видел черепаху и пару раз натыкался на огромных скатов. Будьте внимательны в местах не обозначенных для подводного плаванья - иногда бывает весьма сильное течение от берега. Обязательно берите обувь для плаванья. Номер убирают чуть ли не дважды в день, чай-кофе-всегда было в достатке в номере.

Номерной фонд очень потрепанный. Это не стало сюрпризом, так как по отзывам знали об этом. Но если вы блогер, то будьте готовы, что на вилле вы контент не сделаете. Разве что снаружи. Ванна так вообще грусть. Душ - ну, ОК. Многие писали, что в щели дует теплый воздух и кондиционер не справляется. Щели действительно большие, и теплый воздух да, заходит. Но в нашей вилле кондиционера хватало, хотя во время нашего посещения было не очень жарко. По соседству на острове строят новый отель - это несколько портит вид днем и особенно ночью - подсветка там весьма яркая. По нашей просьбе нас переселили потом на другую виллу, без вида на стройку, но пришлось подождать несколько дней. У нас был ранний отъезд и мы уезжали до завтрака - на ресепшен для нас подготовили чай-кофе и фрукты, но хотелось бы чего-то более существенного - бутерброды или хотя бы печенье или булочки. Впервые пил кофе с яблоком, так себе завтрак (((. Примерно 2/3 береговой линии не пригодны для купания - хороший песчаный пляж только с одной стороны острова. К сожалению, закат со стороны острова без пляжа, поэтому снять красивые фото с закатом на пляже - это придется постараться. И да, добавить зонтики от солнца на веранде ресторана было бы неплохо.

We liked the gardens. They very very well maintained, with clean borders, impressive shrubbery and amazing large trees. The main restaurant was very good food wise, good choice and nearby bar was also very nice & chilled. Good drinks & professional Staff. Musicians DJ also good. Room view escape 507 was excellent too.

Smelly petrol engined boat floating too close to our villa, disturbing our tranquility. Also at dinner when sitting outside @ main restaurant. You say hotel is eco friendly. This certainly is not. The smelly highly polluting boat should not be allowed to pass so close to the resort. Also you need parasols at the tables in the main & Aqua restaurant. This would allow people to be outside when the sun is shining. It beggars belief that you have all these tables outside unused because there is no shade. If you want to be seen as a luxury hotel these things are minimum standards.

Amazing resort and amazing service. We were assigned a personal concierge Rope (Pery) and Raqueeb - the most knowledgeable and attractive hosts ever. The kitchen is very broad to cater to every taste in the world- lots of fruits and vegetarian options. Always a fresh juice Selection. Lots of activities and fantastic snorkeling if you like to go in the watter any time of the day. Villas over the water are amazing!

It has nothing to do with a quality of service, but there is a construction on the nearby island, and we thought that the lights and the sounds at the construction site 24x7 are a bit annoying. But the management was very kind to move us to the other side of the resort.

Honestly, I was quite disappointed with the resort. It feels very old and is in urgent need of maintenance. The villa windows are old and don’t close properly, allowing air to come in all the time, which makes the room hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. The cleanliness was also below expectations — the villa was not very clean, and there were spider webs in the corners.

Il problem solving, scadente, rispetto alla qualità della struttura. Si è letteralmente squagliata una riduzione nella presa della corrente, rovinando un mio apparecchio. Nessuna soluzione al problema né risarcimento. L'ho trovato molto scorretto. La nostra stanza 219 aveva poca spiaggia alle 12.30 era già in ombra, impossibile portare i lettini al sole, molto belle quelle adiacenti con una grande spiaggia e possibilità di avere il sole tutto il pomeriggio.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and would go back again.

Breakfast was delicious and most importantly the staff, our host was Misbah and he was very attentive to our needs. I also liked the proximity to the capital as we didn't need to fly to the property but rather it was just a speed boat trip away.

There are several issues with this property, firstly the rooms need to be refurbished as there was a lot of wear and tear on the furniture. Secondly, we should have received a room closer to the buggy station as we had an infant and it was too hot and too far to walk back and forth from our room. It's unfortunate with all the 7 restaurants on site, there was nothing indoor or air-conditioned and due to this we spent most of the time in our rooms rather than enjoy a sem-outdoor space. The gym should've been open 24/7. This is not a 5 star property, I would rate it at 3-4...I understand that there's a coral restoration project but when you snorkel , it looks like a graveyard for the dead coral reefs which was quite sad to see. I'm not sure whether this is a Maldives problem or the location of this property.

Personal manager/host assigned at arrival - Misbah did a great job organising our stay, always in touch and efficient. Wi-fi - speedy and practically everywhere on the island/residences. Doesn’t get busy even at full capacity - you hardly see other people except for food. Forest friends - bunnies, cats, geese, parakeets, even a couple of flying foxes. Unfortunately, the forest also meant mosquitos. The size of the villa wrt price is above the market. Villas are fully detached. Great dive centre - shout out to Antonio and Nasif. Resident marine biologists who you can help plant a coral frame ✬. Spa therapists are very skilled, big thanks to Pema for restoring me after an exhausting diving trip. Food is good, particularly the specialty restaurants, but dishes not replenished towards the end of the buffet times + see below for hygine. A fairly good house reef, particularly for turtle sighting.

The entire hotel is in great need of renovation, particularly taps, mirrors and doors. Kettle in our room short-circuited. The pool tiles were crumbling and we even found a massive glass shard (thankfully not in our feet). One of the wooden step to the sea was snapped, so massive splinters are waiting for your legs too. Sadly, based on other reviews, the refurbishment has been raised for years, but the hotel never did it. The design of the water villa (and seemingly other villas) is also questionable. The interior and exterior are oppressively dark, aided by very poor lighting (reading after sunset is out of the question). The step to the bed is guaranteed to trip you at night and break your toes/heels. The wooden floors are an ice rink when wet. We were concerned about kitchen hygiene after we saw even the open kitchen chefs touch/use same utensils for both raw and cooked ingredients, but we raised it with the head chef, saw immediate improvement and had no digestion issues. The hotel staff team would benefit from a collective guest interaction guideline. Half are gloomy, half affable, but very few make a pleasant conversation. Besides the hotel however, there are 3 other parties operating on the island: a dive centre, water sports and marine biologists. These guys are more outgoing, particularly the biologists, but the water sports guy seemed afraid bit wary of us. The hotel, water sports and the biologists all organise snorkelling trips with vastly different prices, so on top of the normal Maldivian planning, you may end up performing a market research and 3x the bargaining. Marine biologists are much needed, and the hotel actively pushes for a conservation campaign, yet every day the water is covered by some refuse and there are 5 formats of in-house fishing. Meanwhile, snorkelling with mantas (with one of the best spots only 10 mins away by speedboat) is not ordinarily offered at all.

- Shout out to Ali - what an attentive and kind server. He was great ⭐️ - The Staff were all very friendly and kind to us. - The food was very good and enjoyed that there were several options to chose from - Buffet, 3 Restaurants and a weekly beach bbq. - Agood selection of water sports to chose from (pricey but thats a personal opinion) - The Villas are a great size and very comfortable. - The entire island is walkable which is lovely. - The snorkeling at the Island reef was fantastic - lots of sealife. - tennis court on the island with free equipment that is very enjoyable and well maintained - free snorkeling equipment available for the duration of your stay which is great - Welcome received was very warm and inviting - Communication to front of house good - Island (general walk way) kept very neat and groomed.

Value for Money leaves much to be desired / lacking - Prices are high. Upon arrival received pamphlets with QR codes to Spa and Sports menu / prices as well as restaurant prices. Spa prices viewed did not reflect prices on the island (specifically balinese massage 50minutes for $75 / island price 60 minutes for $139). How does this happen ? We are talking almost double. Prices are excessive imo. Massage my husband had was only 50 minutes - not even the full 60. Dont forget to add service charges and taxes to everything. A lot of the island needs renovation - wood planks on platform surrounding acqua restaurant falling apart - planks by the main pool broken, uneven as well as around private pool in villa which left toddler with numerous splinters. No pool cleaning equipment available at villa so private pool was constantly dirty and full of debri. Main pool looks great and recently renovated, but Black silicone in between tiles (ledge at end of pool) at main pool was not properly dry i believe when they filled the pool so upon sitting on ledge (that is what it is there for) expensive bikini as well as husbands expensive shorts had black stains - staff uninterested. Overwater villas breaking apart and not all private pools from the outside tiled. Vegetation at private bungalows (island villas) wild and not groomed back to make most advantage of view / location. Only 1 tiny island shop trying to sell sunscreen for $48 is just robbery. Would be nice to have options to buy snacks etc especially when travelling with kids. Weekly seafood bbq costs 120$/person which is outrageous . Child of 4yo who barely eats a full plate is always 1/2 price of adult charges which we felt to be inadequate and overpriced. Food at buffet has limited options for kids - all quite spicy which i found lovely but the little was left starving or just ate bread some evenings (buffet) Restaurants except japanese had childrens options.

Mr. Shihan is very kind and professional as well as the stuff. Nature is amazing as on all islands.

The photos of Villa Island on Booking.com are not realistic and were intentionally placed to conceal the real location of the villa and mislead potential buyers. This fact is extremely incorrect and dishonest. In front of the villa is a small sandy area, which is unkempt, full of dangerous stones, the entrance to the sea is not direct from the beach, but by stone steps that are slippery. It is not recommended for elderly people or children. Photos attached.

Special shoutout to the team members Mohammed Ali for keeping our room nice & tidy and Harry from Star restaurant for providing excellent meal service. Beautiful house reef for snorkelling, stunning beach & nature. We stayed for new years eve which was an amazing buffet, I have never seen so much variety. Cute party with DJ and live band. New Years eve was lovely. Stunning sunset views at the main pool, the main pool was very big & nice to hang out at. We travelled during peak season, the hotel was apparently at full capacity but it never felt crowded. Megan the marine biologist was also very nice & knowledgable and the turtle snorkelling tour was a highlight of our trip. The buffet was also delicious with good variety every day.

The Maldives is, of course, a dream destination, and staying here is already amazing. That said, I feel like the hotel could offer better value for money, especially for a 5-star luxury resort. Rooms, Amenities & Service: The rooms were a bit outdated, and the service didn’t quite feel like it matched the 5-star promise. For example, we went on a snorkeling trip but didn’t see any sharks which was a separate charge. I completely understand that these things happen—it’s nature! But when the bill came, there was no acknowledgment of our disappointment. Instead of an apology or understanding, I was told, “you signed for this"- sitting in awkward silence until I settled the bill. At this price point, I’d expect a more thoughtful approach, like maybe offering another trip the next day free of charge or at least only charge half of the cost. Our host, Cyrus, also forgot to tell us about the meal credit option for dining at other restaurants. So, we ended up at the buffet every night. While it was a nice buffet, missing out on those other dining experiences was a letdown. We learned on our last night. I stayed in the Maldives before, where the host regularly checked in on you, unfortunately this did not happen here. The gym equipment is also quite old, and the departure lounge didn’t feel up to the standard you’d expect from a luxury resort. All in all, it’s still the Maldives, so it’s hard to complain too much—but for the amount we paid, I think a bit more attention to service and details would go a long way. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Only thing we did not not like is extremely high price charged for speed boat transfer, we stayed in 4 different hotels (Including Hilton Saii Lagoon) during our stay in Maldives, each hotel charged in the range of 40 to 80 USD per person for the same distance of boat transfer, but Coco Bodu charged us 290 USD per person, and it is compulsory to use their own hotel transfer service, If they had provided modern high class boat and charged this amount of money, may be it would justify price, but they use old cheap local boat. I choose to give them low rating only because of this Boat Transfer Price

The Resort upgraded my water villa to escape water villa. But the pool really need major maintenance and repair. Pool tiles were chipped and broken out and it spoilt the best pictures of the villa.

Love the pool, big round jacuzzi and the spacious big villa. Direct access to the beach make it easier to straight away go for snorkelling. Beach are very clean and private. Enjoyed my solitude there.

I liked everything

Difficult to finds words for the extraordinary staff @ Coco Bodhu. First of all the island is amazing as it is a natural island (which is rare in maldives) the jungle is so intense and beautiful. We stayed at the residences, yes not the newest room but the scenery compensates it more than much. The best thing about the residence is the great infinity pool and the spacious room. The staff of Coco Bodhu makes the hotel from very good to oustanding, we traveled a lot, saw many hotels in all different price category but we never saw this kind of staff. Everybody does the job with the heart is autenthic and warm and wants just the best for every guest! It was really touching to see how the whole staff does their job with the fullest of their heart. There are some staff which we would like to point out: Our Host for the residences, Hammu, he always reply fast on every demand and maked everything for us to feel at home! Thank you Hammu for your service, we really recommend you for all guets, Coco Bodhu can be happy that they have you! For every dinner and Breakfast service we had the pleasure to be greeted with a smile from two incredible ladies, Samikshya and Dayanara, those two are just incredible kind and serve the guests with their charming smiles, a pleasure! We stayed there for two days. On the first day, we stayed at the Coco Residence, so we were entitled to lunch at their Star restaurant. It was okay. Otherwise, the buffet breakfast and dinner in the Air restaurants were far below the standard. The foods were not standard at all for a 5-star resort.

The staff should be more professional. Rooms could be more clean.

Location of the island and facilities where superb. This was our 4th stay in Maldives and Coco Bodu Hithi definitely comes on top. Kids club managed by lovely Christine was absolutely amazing .. our daughter felt very happy with all the creative approach while it was raining outside. Coral reef is also rich of sea life and easy to reach from within the villas. Food was great and buffet had nice selection of different cuisines. We definitely recommend the resort.

Leaving after checkout it’s the first time I was asked to pay for lunch and anything until we left. Considering that we spent significant sum for all inclusive package .. food towards the end should not be a problem in my opinion and that’s was our experience form other resorts as well. This was the first time we have been asked to pay extra.
