Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Larissa y su familia fueron encantadores. En todo momento estuvieron pendientes de que nuestra estancia fuera lo mejor posible. La casa era preciosa, con un jardín y una piscina donde pasar un rato agradable. Lo mejor de la estancia sin duda su perro rangi que siempre salía súper contento a saludarnos cuando nos veía.

Reviewed Aug 29, 2025Adorámos estar na Casa do Torreão. Larissa e Matthias foram sempre muito amáveis e o quarto e espaços são muito agradáveis. A piscina estava limpa e a uma boa temperatura. O espaço da cozinha é perfeito para fazer pequenas refeições. Cama confortável, casa-de-banho espaçosa. Tem ainda o bónus de ficar num sítio muito silencioso, com bastante natureza à volta. São realmente pet-friendly e o nosso cãozinho sentiu-se em casa.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2025Really good price for quality compared to other options in the South of Portugal especially if you travel with pets. - the hosting family was very kind and did all possible to make our stay comfortable, they even watched after our dog when we were going out for the half or full day - no additional changes for pets unlikely to other places, we traveled with both cat and dog - nice apartment and nice yard with a swimming pool - place is very calm and chill as well as the town itself Overall strongly recommended and that will be our first option next time when we will be visiting South of Portugal

Reviewed Oct 11, 2024The hosts were exceptionally helpful. The building is part of an ancient castle. Really interesting. Lovely pooll and terrace with views Handy shared kitchen and dining space. We were lucky enough to be there on a monthly market day.l It was great to listen to music eat bbq and people watch. The location is great for exploring the Algarve . Local bars and restaurants. Favourite lunch near the church

Larissa en Matthias zijn super aardig en gastvrij; hadden goeie tips, we kregen oa een welkomstdrankje, het ontbijt was super lekker en aangepast naar onze wensen. De kamer is mooi, lekker bed, goeie douche, in de keuken staat alles wat je nodig hebt. Het was heel rustig dus liggen aan en zwemmen in het zwembad was heerlijk! Echt een aanrader dus.

Reviewed Oct 14, 2023Das Zimmer war sehr schön und wir dankbar für die Kaffeemaschine. Die Einrichtung unseres Zimmer war an sich liebevoll, wenn mir auch nicht klar ist, was die modernen Riesenglühbirnen mit dem Rest der Einrichtung zu tun hat, die viel schöner ist. Das Badezimmer war sehr schön und groß.
Das Hotel war das mit Abstand teuerste Hotel in der ganzen Gegend. Zum Teil fast doppelt so teuer. Dafür hätte ich eine Tür und keinen Vorhang im Badezimmer erwartet. Auch der Pool war zwar an sich schön, aber wenig gepflegt und bei weitem nicht so sauber wie die anderen, die wir in dieser Gegend genießen durften. dazu wurde uns dann noch für 12.- Euro ein ebenso für diese Region völlig überteuertes Frühstück angeboten. Es macht den Reiz dieser Gegend aus, dass es eben keine Zuschläge gibt, nur weil Wanderer vorbeikommen.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2023Un lieu magique , rempli d'histoire. Tout jusqu'au petit detail a ete pensé. La piscine appréciable apres une randonnee. Un accueil incroyablement chaleureux . Un petit-déjeuner délicieux avec vue surprenante sur le rooftop. Nous avions malheureusement booké une autre nuit ailleurs, sinon nous serions bien restés.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2023The place has an amazing location in a laid-back town and is an oasis after coming from the tourist-flooded towns of Algarve. Felt welcome here from the first second. The house itself is nicely renovated and just a gem. The kitchen is also fully equipped with everything you could need for cooking. The owners are super friendly and helpful with any problem you might have, be it help for finding a nice place for dinner or a beach at the coast. Nevertheless this place offers a lot of privacy. Fantastic!!
The only thing that could be improved is more hangers for towels in the bathroom

Reviewed Jul 21, 2023La casa es muy bonita, no le falta detalle y está decorada con buen gusto. La piscina tiene agua fresca y limpia, se encuentra en un jardín muy agradable. Los dueños fueron muy amables nos ofrecieron una bebida al llegar y tarta después de cenar sin ningún coste. En la habitación te dejan agua, vino, café y bombones, todo un detalle. La cama y las almohadas son cómodas y todo en la habitación estaba limpio. Fuimos con nuestros dos perros que pudieron entrar gratis y tuvieron cama y cuencos de comida, el trato hacia ellos también fue excelente.
Todo bien, repetiría.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2023Wir wurden sehr herzlich mit Kaltgetränken empfangen. Das Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet, am Pool ließ es sich unter Zitronenbäumchen sehr gut aushalten und am Morgen gab es sehr leckeres Frühstück mit herrlicher Aussicht von der Terrasse.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2023Clean, spacious room with a beautiful bathroom and a big comfortable bed, that we've had a good night sleep in after a long day of hiking on the Via Algarviana. The place had a nice pool, we didn't use though. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was rich and guaranteed a stunning view over Salir. The hosts were kind and did everything they could to help us with a late check-in after it took a long time for us to arrive at Salir that day.
The place was comparably expensive to similar other places we stayed in on our hiking trip. If breakfast was included in the price it would feel like a better deal.

Mein Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll im maurischen Stil mit modernen großzügigen Bad gestaltet, Im Zimmer bestand die Möglichkeit Cafe u Tee zuzubereiten,; traumhafte Dachterrasse mit Swimmingpool u Sonnenliege ( Bademantel u Liegetuch vorhanden) und als besonderes Highlight der Frühstücksplatz -Frühstück mitbuchen- mit Blick über den gesamten Ort u die Umgebung. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich u versuchen Eure Wünsche zu erfüllen. Ein Aufenthalt den Du Dir nicht entgehen lassen sollst und eine Belohnung nach einer Wanderung durch die Berge. Auch das kl. Restaurant/ Tapabar bei der Kirchs sollte man einen Besuch abstatten.

The accommodation was super clean and beautiful, the hosts were so friendly and available. I would highly recommend Casa do Torreao, be sure to check out the roof top chill spot, perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Great value, quiet and comfortable!
