Everything's perfect, but i hope the road to these places get improved.
Lea and Terry are extremely friendly with an above-and-beyond skillset for hosting travelers and accommodating their needs. AMAZING home-cooked meals, friendly dogs, and an insanely beautiful private waterfall with clear water just behind the property. One of their dogs actually gave us a tour of the waterfall and ran around with us a bunch; I'm not even kidding. Their homestay is near a lot of the attractions of the island that you can't find in San Juan. I would recommend staying here for your adventure days and then enjoying their top-tier food/beer/coffee when you come back and want to chill. The bathrooms are clean and have a vibey bamboo feel with fairy lights and extra soap if you need it. I cannot recommend this place enough; I've been telling all of my friends who go to Siquijor. Also, a solid plus is that even though it's in the middle of a forest, the wifi worked great; I streamed the MLB Home Run Derby from their bungalow with no problems.
Amazing place in the hidden spot of forest. The road is a bit tricky yet it’s worthy every moment staying here. You can enjoy a lot the waterfall, the garden, especially at night with beautiful clear star sky and fireflies. Terry and Lea the hosts are very welcoming and helpful. They will make you feel like home. If you come to Siquijor island, this is definitely a must-stay place for your experience!
Meal, Staff, cliff
The location is really far from the main area, when we on the way there, we always doubt whether we’re on the right way. And pay attention to the weather. In dry seasons, there is no firefly around.
The hospitality of Lea & Terry is unparalleled. Together with their dog pack they made us feel right at home, after 3 nights we felt sorry to leave. We had the honor to sleep in the cottage that dog mother Kabang calls her home, so she welcomed us every morning and evening. The usb-charging situation in the cottage was very well thought through and everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast was amazing and the stairs to the river gave us access to an almost deserted private beautiful little waterfall. Obviously the dogs were so cute and loved to cuddle (I would say: don't book a room if you don't like dogs).
The separate bathroom is a little bit inconvenient so I want to mention it. And at night (early morning) roosters and a dog or 2 tend to wake up early. But still we had an amazing stay!
Amazing nature, owner so kind and nice helped me and was very friendly. Literally a hut in the middle of nature, only, waterfall right next to the place 2 min walk down, so pretty and refreshing water spot! Thanks for a great time I'll be back if I'm ever back to siquijor <3
Only down side is you got to walk past people to use to wash room and shower if restaurant hours are active But pretty much showered in the water in the stream lol XD
Nourriture délicieuse, on conseille x 1000
Friendly owner Terry from UK has been running the business with his wife Lea for 3 years. They have 1 comfy& quiet hut and 1 cottage in the countryside, beautiful waterfalls in their backward very romantic, good simple menu in the cafe, very good internet connection, has a battery if power cut so always have electricity. Definitely recommend it.
Nothing
I absolutely loved my stay here. The owners Lea and Terry were so kind, helpful and very welcoming. You can walk straight to the waterfall for a swim in the morning and the fireflies are so cool to see at night. They have filtered water, other drinks and food. The WiFi works really well. The whole place is really clean. I hired a bike at the port when I got to Siquijor, so I could explore the island, it was a great location for me and I loved being surrounded by nature. I will be coming back.
Location, hospitality, service, the rooms, waterfall, fireflies, dogs, everything!!! Especially the atmosphere in general. Such a lovely place.
I honestly do not have anything negative to say.
best food (veggie friendly too), best drinks, best waterfall, best doggos and cutest cats! Lea and Terry are super friendly and you immediately feel at home and never wanna leave again. And yes, there are fireflies too!
Everything.

Firefly Treehouse in Siquijor was a wonderfully unique and memorable stay, made even better by Terry and Lea, who were genuinely lovely hosts and incredibly helpful with anything we needed. The setting is beautifully rural, quiet, and secluded—surrounded by forest and giving you that magical “middle of nowhere” feeling, yet with a warm community vibe thanks to their daytime café that brings in a mix of friendly locals and curious tourists. With 11 dogs and 4 cats roaming happily around, there’s no shortage of furry company, all of them gentle and well-behaved. The wooden huts are simple but comfortable, equipped with a fan and mosquito net, and they helped arrange an easy motorbike rental through a reliable local contact. Because the area is very rural, you’ll definitely need a bike to get around, but non-drivers can also take advantage of their trusted taxi-trike guide for a full-day island tour. The on-site food menu is small but consistently excellent, laundry is available, and the shared showers and toilets at the main café are clean and convenient. The highlight of the stay was definitely Cabugsayan Waterfall—just a short two-minute walk from the property—where you’ll find a rope swing and a 5-metre jump, operated safely by locals from 9 a.m., with free entry for Firefly guests and early access at 7 a.m. The only crucial tip is how to get there: always take the long road around the island, heading to Lazi first and then up toward Firefly Hostel, turning right at the chapel (when coming from Lazi), and following the signs for the last kilometre; avoid the middle-island route, as the roads are extremely rough, especially at night.
Needs Heinz beans on the English Brekky! :)
So many adorable dogs and cats are there. The owner is so kind and friendly. Their meals are also great and not too expensive.
Quiet spot near a great little waterfall, amazing service, great food and some awesome fireflies. And the dogs.
Nothing.
It lived up to its name, I have never seen that much firefly in my whole life! Terry is so accomodating and went beyond with our needs. It is indeed a great way to escape the crowdy place in busy streets of Siquijor.
The best place I stayed in the Philippines! A true breath of fresh air! Terry and Lea are amazing people! Their dogos are the cutest! The food is super cheap and delicious! Their space is unreal! So relaxing and super chill - away from everyone! Fun to dip in waterfalls at sunrise, meet locals, and be under the stars! Wish I could’ve stayed longer.
Absolutely nothing!
The owner was a genuinely kind person. There is a cafe on site with really good food and coffee/cocktails. The best part about the stay was the short walk to the waterfall on the property. It’s open to the public for a fee but free if you stay at Firefly. We went down early in the morning for a lovely dip in the cool water before anyone else got there. Adorable dogs and cats onsite too!
Nothing.
Lea and Terry are great hosts. The hut is simple but sufficient. This place invites you to relax in the hammock or the lagoon that is just 5 minutes away. Very chilled vibes, very good food.
The host Terry was so kind and accomodating, the location is unbeatable, the waterfall is so close and you can go there to cool down whenever you feel like it! We loved our stay here, the cafe is also really nice which is an added plus!!
Nothing, all I can say is bring insect repellent, because the location is next to a fresh water source there are some little biting bugs!
Wow!!! for the price, this place is a steal! the owners terry and lea are so kind, helpful and bring a great energy to the place. The bungalow is small but comfortable and i found the fan to be more than enough. They provide towels, as well as multiple outlets, a mosquito net and even a hammock right outside your door! There is hot water and good affordable food. They have starlink wifi (fastest wifi ive ever used). Theres a waterfall with a 5m jump and rope swing right down the steps which you have to yourself for most of the day. At night, there are tons of fireflies and you can see the stars very clearly, its incredible! The area is really nice to just chill and have a peaceful getaway.
the location on google maps isn’t accurate, you have to take a dirt road from there which is quite difficult to drive, especially after its been raining. its about 10 minutes to the main road. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re a good driver or prepared to get tuktuks. Make sure you put the padlock on the door because one day the dogs got into the room!
It was such a personal, relaxing and really comfortable stay. The cafe on site is awesome and the owners Terry and Lea are the loveliest people. There’s a lot of attention to detail and we felt really cared for and welcome. As a guest you also get any-time free access to the hidden gem waterfall behind the property (which we had to ourselves most times!). At night you find out why it’s called firefly treehouse too and it’s magical.
Terry and Lea are lovely people who've created a beautiful little paradise away from the noise and chaos with private access to a lagoon/mini waterfall. The place is a little haven to truly rest and reset and the 12 dogs fill the place with cuddles and fun. Terry and Lea try to meet every need and go above and beyond to help you with any question or query. Because of their hospitality I extended for 2 more nights. Favourite food was the stir fry! Stars at night and fireflies are magical!
My mattress was a bit uncomfortable but Terry and Lea quickly changed it for a better one. Occasional brownout, (comes with the territory)!
