A beautiful property with lovely views over the Douro river. Our room was very comfortable with a gorgeous Boho feel to it. We loved the comfy bed and pillows, the decor, the lovely little touches like pool throws, robes and slippers and personally scented room on arrival 🌸. The breakfast was delicious, with all bread, croissants and cakes homemade. Such a lovely dining area with the Boho vibel running through the whole place. Stunning pool area and sauna. It was immaculately clean everywhere, including throughout the gardens. Even the owners and staff have a relaxing energy about them and make you feel very welcome. Its a 25-30 minute leisurely stroll to the old town (€4/€5 in an Uber alternatively) There's a boardwalk along the riverside that takes you straight there (ignore the Google walking option and just head down the little pathways and steps towards the river) You will wonder where you are for a moment but will soon appreciate being out of the busy city when you are at the hotel and taking a dip in the pool with a delicious port cocktail from the hotel bar. Don't hesitate booking 💚

Sin duda alguna, el trato del personal, muy amable y atento en todo momento. También quiero destacar el desayuno, aunque no había demasiada variedad, era suficiente y con buena calidad y presentación.

Un hôtel dans un cadre paisible et agréable avec un service très attentionné , nous avons passé un séjour incroyable dans cet hôtel magnifique ( grand plus pour le sauna avec vue ;) )

Loved this small boutique hotel in a quiet location but easy enough to get to Porto by taxi or walk down to restaurants by the river. Very helpful and friendly staff, fabulous breakfast, clean and comfy rooms. Great views and a lovely bonus having a sauna in the pool area

Ficámos apenas uma noite no The Lost Garden e a única nota negativa é mesmo essa: soube a pouco! O atendimento foi incrível, super detalhado e personalizado desde o primeiro momento. O espaço é fantástico, com vistas encantadoras e recantos para relaxar e desfrutar de momentos de total tranquilidade, longe da confusão. É o sítio para desligar.

We stayed at the Lost Garden late June for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. The Hotel has a real relaxing Spa like feeling and I can not speak highly enough of the amazing people that work there. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and make you feel so welcome. The rooms are gorgeous with everything you would expect from a high end hotel. The breakfast are amazing and all the natural local produce is delicious. The Grounds are so relaxing with an amazing view of most of the Bridges that link Porto to Gaia. The swimming pool and sauna are lovely. We had many a drink and snacks while sat in the garden looking at the amazing view, I can highly recommend the meat and cheese board!. The closest bridge is about a 20 minute walk and then over the bridge you are right in the heart of Porto. The Port cellars are a 25 minute walk away. We will 100% return here, one of our favorite places we have stayed!

Un hermoso lugar, la vista desde el hotel y las habitaciones, así como el jardín y la alberca son fantásticos, el personal se esmera mucho en la atención, el menú del desayuno y la cena muy saludable y los ingredientes de alta calidad, en general un lugar muy ecológico que vale la pena visitar otra vez

Tudo perfeito! Decoração e limpeza de todos os espaços, simpatia das funcionárias e proprietária, a piscina um encanto, a vista deslumbrante, a sala do pequeno-almoço fantástica, tal como o próprio pequeno-almoço. Excelente! Diferente de quase tudo!

Digamos que na zona não há literalmente nada, o que se torna algo complicado para jantar. Mas claro, there´s always an UBER! :-)

Le lieu calme, la vue, le confort des lits, le personnel très sympa et souriant.

Zeer schoon, erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Fraai uitgevoerde eetruimte met een erg compleet en gevarieerd ontbijt. Glutenvrij eten is mogelijk en wordt met zorg bereid. Er hangt een geweldige sfeer en rust, een wellness gevoel. Recent gebouwd, kleinschalig opgezet met een mooi zwembad met prachtig uitzicht op de Douro en twee bruggen. De accommodatie is compact, maar is uiterst compleet. Wij hadden een hoekwoning met eigen terras wat zorgt voor nog meer vrijheid.

Alles is geweldig. Het ligt enigszins verscholen en dat is ook de kracht van de plek. Met de Uber ben je vlot en betaalbaar in het hart van het centrum van Porto. Met goede schoenen kun je ook prima te lopen.

Primeiro o atendimento no check-in muito bom, com pulverização do quarto com um cheirinho à nossa escolha, produzido no próprio alojamento, e uma welcome drink, adorámos. A vista espetacular do douro, os detalhes do quarto, desde uma cesta com toalhas de praia, além dos robes, sabonete natural, creme do corpo, shampo, gel de banho e condicionador, entre outras coisas que nos agradaram muito. A limpeza diria que estava perfeita, e a beleza do quarto. O pequeno-almoço não tem uma variedade muito alargada mas tudo o que tem é delicioso, fresquinho e tudo feito à mão no alojamento. O jardim está muito bem tratado e gostamos do facto de ser um alojamento pequeno com poucos hóspedes, muito calmo. Todo o alojamento é lindíssimo e bem cuidado!

Na descrição diz que a piscina é de água salgada mas está errado, além de ser normal de cloro, estava um pouco fria, mas tivemos sorte com o dia de calor, por isso acabou por não fazer muita diferença. Tudo no geral estava ótimo, mas para ficar perfeito, mesmo sabendo que é um alojamento local, faltaria uma piscina interior e um ginásio para nosso gosto pessoal, mas não baixo muito a pontuação por isso, acredito que tudo o resto compensou imenso!

Personale var fantastisk flinke og hjælpsomme. Et utrolig skønt sted med dejlige udendørs faciliteter, have, pool og udsigt til Douro floden. Hotellet, værelser, alt er virkelig smukt indrettet. Maden var lavet af de bedste råvarer, egen bager.

Tout est parfait. Le petit-déjeuner est exquis, tout comme les plats proposés au bar, avec des produits de qualité. La déco est faite avec goût sans aucune fausse note. La vue est sublime et fait oublier que l’hôtel est un peu loin à pied du centre de Porto. Tout est très propre et parfaitement entretenu. La piscine et les extérieurs sont sublimes. Et le personnel est au petit soin

Juste pour dire quelque chose parce que tout a été parfait, la piscine mériterait d’être un peu chauffée.

There was so much that we loved about this hotel…we could not fault it! The setting is absolutely stunning, the attention to detail of their design made it feel like a boutique stay. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for you, especially a big thank you to Mariana who made it feel like a home away from home. The pool and sauna were a great option to have, especially when the heat in the city was too much, it gave us a chance to come back and relax. The food and drink were also delicious. The breakfast was all fresh produce and presented beautifully. The room was very comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for. A lovey touch, at check in they ask you to choose your aromatherapy, and they prepare the room for you with that scent! Just beautiful.

I stayed for a night after walking some of the Camino de Santiago - it was perfect for relaxing after a less luxurious few days. This place is really beautiful with a gorgeous view and super cute roomes. Everything is new and ery cute. There is a pool and a sauna and the drinks and food are very good. The only drawbacks are that it is not really near anything else - perfect for my stay but might feel a bit strange if you're visiting porto. If you are doing daytrips or similar, this place is really worth staying a bit further out, and that the bar/food stops at 7pm. Food was delicious though.

As the food stops at 7pm , the drinks at 8pm and there is nothing very close by, it would be nice to have a little mini bar for later in the evening.

De tudo. Pequeno hotel recente, com gerência simpática e disponível, atendimento cuidado, decoração linda, serviço impecável. Destaque para o pequeno almoço com muita variedade, qualidade e tudo de fabrico próprio.

Fantástico. O sossego na cidade. Aquela vista! Tivemos a sorte de apanhar um dia de sol magnífico em março e conseguir aproveitar daquela piscina. Cada detalhe foi pensado para proporcionar uma excelente experiência. Parabéns pelo espaço.

The staff and owners were very accommodating. The view of the river and city is beautiful from every room. Exquisite furnishings and decor, spotlessly clean. Enjoyed the sauna and the beautiful gardens. Uber fares were very low for a short trip into the city center.

Adorei as acomodações e a tranquilidade do alojamento. A Marta é uma ótima anfitriã , uma excelente profissional. Este alojamento é ideal para quem procura uma experiência ecológica e com contacto com a natureza. Tem um ambiente muito agradável e interessante. Adorei o pequeno-almoço . Espero voltar em breve.

Café da manhã muito bom, equipe atenciosa, quarto e chuveiros muito bom.

Não tem um local para hospede ficar após as 20:00 horas que não seja o quarto, chegamos do passeio após as 20:00 e não queríamos sair para jantar, eles tem um ótimo espaço, porém não dão acesso aos hospedes, fica fechado e o único local que podemos acessar após as 20:00hs é mesmo o quarto, que neste caso não oferece espaço para um refeição.

We liked everything: the staff, food, location accommodations, esthetics, cleanliness, the view was amazing. We were greeted by Marta and she was welcoming and friendly, offering us a cocktail upon our arrival. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We only wish we had more time to enjoy the ambiance of the hotel. We would have spent more time sitting by the pool and enjoying the view. It’s only a short ride or walk to the River. We were also provided with a list of restaurants and places to visit in the area.

Vi är så glada för att vi hittade denna ljuvliga pärla i Gaia.Allt var toppen,rekommenderar till alla som vill bo med utsikt över Dourofloden.Ligger i ett lugnt och trivsamt område.Vi tog tåget till Gaia och promenerade till boendet,tog runt 30 minuter.Bra om man tycker om att gå.Vi gick ner på strandpromenaden och hamnade sedan på Caixa ou Gaia. Personalen på hotellet var mycket tillmötesgående och hjälpsamma.Hela konceptet är genomtänkt med gästen i fokus.Många små detaljer som ger upplevelsen det lilla extra.

We absolutely loved this place. Beautiful design and everything done with care and love. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was the best we had in Portugal and we stayed in a lot of places. I would come back and stay here in a heartbeat.

Was really a fine enough place but not as advertised as a resort. Not relaxing. Aromas made breathing hard, not on river. Pool too small to swim. NO services nearby, internet awful!

Fantastisk plass og kjempehyggelig vertskap. Alle som jobbet der ville det beste for oss. Nydelig frokost med lokale varer og ofte hjemmebakte kaker (takk Claudia). Beliggenhet utenfor sentrum i stille omgivelser og privat boligområde, men fin gangavstand langs Douro elva (15-20min.) til Ribeira. Vi var der i 14dager og har ønske om å komme tilbake neste år. Anbefales på det sterkeste!

Heel fijne ervaring! Mooi klein hotel, heel smaakvol ingericht, mooie kamers, verfijnd ontbijt, supervriendelijk personeel, relaxte sfeer, relax zwembad met mooi zicht over de Douro. De twee zussen, die het hotel runnen, hebben echt overal aan gedacht om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Echte aanrader!

Perfeito para uma escapadinha a dois. Fomos recebidos com um welcome drink e brindados com uma vista deslumbrante sobre o Douro, num ambiente de calma e serenidade. A decoração é de muito bom gosto, com destaque para os detalhes de marcas portuguesas. Relaxar à beira da piscina infinita com um bom livro foi um dos pontos altos. O pequeno-almoço é igualmente excelente. Todo o staff foi incrivelmente atencioso e simpático, a Marta e Sónia são ótimas. O hotel está impecavelmente limpo. Adorámos a experiência!

An adorable small hotel in Gaia. Very stylish and beautiful and a calm refuge from the bustle of the tourist areas. It’s a longish walk or a fairly reasonable Uber ride to the waterfront and tourist centers.

A great place to enjoy yourself! It’s a quiet place where you feel away from the rest of the world. However, it’s only a ~30 min walk to center city Porto. I highly recommend staying here.

not a good location for the dom luis bridge and the river. Neither refrigerator nor supplemental water bottles. The supermarkets in porto are closed on subday afternoon, I asked water bottles and was told to buy it at the hotel.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful—clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The host was amazing, incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience!

We absolutely loved the Lost Garden! This special place was created with intention and offers truly beautiful food, linen, garden, swimming pool, drinks, soaps, and people! The colors and calming decor combined with aromatherapy and a stunning view really created an invitation to breathe. The staff took great care to pay attention to every single detail and helped with anything we asked. Upon arrival we were offered a fantastic welcome drink and cookies while our bags were whisked to our room. The linens, bed, and pillows made for a great night sleep. The breakfast spread and surroundings looked like they were right out of a magazine. We will definitely be back if we are ever in Porto!

Definitely recommend this place for a quaint stay in the city. It does really feel very removed and that you are part of nature. Lovely hospitality and very attentive staff!

The boutique hotel is new ands all the amenities are new too. Both Marta and Sonia and the chef provided service with great smile. Breakfast was excellent and plenty. Beautiful view of the Douro river and the city. Accessible by Uber and taxi. Marta and Sonia are passionate about their property and have their heart and soul into the decor. It felt like home away from home. The garden and the tree above the pool was an eye candy specially with the blue light at night. Old not enjoy the pool due to rain. Renu and Mahendra.
