Château de la Motte Beaumanoir

Prachtige locatie aan een meer. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Petit dejeuner was echt een petit dejeuner (als je een ei erbij wilde hebben kostte meteen een flink aantal euro's. Het chateau ademde de sfeer van weleer maar de tand des tijds had wel zn werk gedaan.

Het zwembad was buiten gebruik (leek al jaren niet gebruikt). De forse bedragen die gevraagd werden voor wat extra bij het ontbijt, bijvoorbeeld een ei. Geen zeepjes en tissues in de badkamer. Geen wifi op de kamer.

We enjoyed our stay at Chateau de la Motte Beaumanoir. There is no restaurant on site so be mindful that it's worth getting some snacks or nibbles if you arrive on Sunday or Monday which is when most restauratns are closed. We loved the view of the lack and the overall ambience of the estate. Staff were very kind and helpful. We spent a nice day in Dinan which is a short drive from the chateau.

Beautiful old building lots of granite and massive beams but made comfortable - fabric covered bedroom walls, lots of sofas and places to sit in downstairs rooms looking out over the moat and lake. Even a slate floored billiard room . Friendly reception and good filling breakfast included. Just a minute's drive from the dual carriageway look out for the sign on your right .

Nothing , but if you prefer hotels with right angles , modern furniture and don't like the odd scuff ,chip or creak please avoid and go and stay in an Ibis !

Nice chateau, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, overall basic rooms.

We were surprised they do not give more attention to details in making it even a greater experience, e.g a noisy fan in the bathroom, missing shower brush holder, no bin for rubbish at the breakfast table. Simple, cheap improvements that could boost the comfort ratings.

Superbe château dans un cadre exceptionnel et très bien situé. Chambre familiale "Sissi impératrice" très spacieuse, bien décorée et calme. Lits vraiment très confortables. Parc immense et bien entretenu.

Dommage que l'excellente literie ne soit pas accompagnée d'une housse de couette ou dessus de lit et d'oreillers corrects. Manquait aussi les verres à dent. Le petit déjeuner était correct mais pas au niveau pour cette catégorie d'établissement.

Beau corps de batiment, facilement accessibe avec un parc et des annexes tres bien entretenus. Les chambres sont spacieuses et meublées avec gout et en harmonie avec le lieu.

Dans la chambre famille, le lit simple dans la premiere piece pourrait et devrait etre mieux arrangé.

Un lieu authentique où il est agréable de se reposer, une parenthèse hors du temps. Une situation géographique intéressante pour visiter la région.

Beautiful property with a lot of history. Comfortable bed. Large room. Great bathroom. Close to St Malo for ferries. Lovely staff.

We arrived late afternoon with many shops in the area closed. Absolutely nothing to eat in the evening. Gorgeous setting so would have been lovely to sit on the terrace with a glass of wine….bring your own! Once knowing the property’s limitations we would stay again though.

Místo a zámek byl krásný, ubytování velmi pěkné a romantické. Pokoje malebné, moc se nám tento styl líbí. Společné prostory s posezením a kulečníkem jsou velmi příjemné. Posezení s dobrým růžovým vínem na terase bylo v západu slunce moc okouzlující. Snídaně byla skvělá a snídaňová místnost se zrcadly byla opravu moc pěkná. Děkujeme, můžeme doporučit všem.

Měli jsme ale velký incident s místním psem. Na dvoře napadl našeho psa se kterým jsme cestovali jiný velký pes. Když jsme se ptali v recepci, bylo zřejmé že pes je zdejší. Byl bez vodítka i bez obojku a našeho velmi submisivního psa vedeného na vodítku prudce napadl kousl do zad. Bylo to naštěstí jen povrchové, ale byl to velmi stresující okamžik, pes byl opravdu veliký a velmi divoce zaútočil. Není to asi nic co by muselo znepokojovat ostatní hosty, pes útočil jen na našeho psa. Ale lidem cestujícím se psem bych toto místo raději nedoporučil. Není to asi chyba majitelů zámku, ale nějakého nezodpovědného chovatele psa.

Prachtig kasteel in een super locatie.

Het ontbijt was zeer basic, voor kaas of eieren stevig bijbetalen. Dat is toch niet wat ik begrijp onder een continentaal ontbijt dat is inbegrepen.

We’ve never stayed in a large Chateau before so we were very excited when we came up the drive and saw the castle like building. The grounds were extensive and lovely to walk around. The host Emanuel showed us around and I must say that the place was wonderful. However the room although spacious and comfortable was looking a little tired with frayed carpets curtains and furniture. Great views from the windows overlooking the lake. There were no tea making facilities in the rooms although there was a coffee machine downstairs which didn’t work properly. The staff all left at 8pm so there was no one on hand to help. No milk for teas and coffee and not great selection either overnight. In the morning there was no one to greet us and I had to go searching around for members of staff to help. I don’t think that the place was staffed very well and the lady was really invested in the facility. We read past reviews and it seemed like it was a recurring theme. The pool was still out of action. We were told there was a function next door and the people did not have access to our part of the chateau. But they gathered beneath our window and didn’t go until 3am. I think if there was a member of staff on site it would feel like we were in a nicer atmosphere. Overall we were comfortable and had a nice two nights stay. Close to Dinan, Cancale and Dinard. It’s not an entirely negative review but we think it can be vastly improved to bring it up to the grandeur it should convey.

Nieprawdopodobnie piękny pałac, otoczony pałacowym ogrodem z pięknym jeziorem, dostępnych kilka wspaniale urządzonych pokojów typu Lounge, bardzo czysto, przytulnie, atmosfera domowa, swobodna, przepiękny stylowy pokój. Bardzo dobre śniadanie z naleśnikami. Wspaniała przystań w podróży po Normandii, blisko Mont Saint Michel . Polecam gorąco.

Sehr netter, sympathischer und hilfsbereiter Empfang durch die "Dame des Hauses", welche uns das Schloss und die Anlage gezeigt und über die Geschichte informiert hat. Wir durften die vielfältigen, im alten Stil eingerichteten Räume und den Garten frei benutzen. Das Schloss mit grosser Parkanlage und See ist sehr ruhig, idyllisch gelegen, aber dennoch gut erreichbar. Das Zimmer - die Suite "Kaiserin Sissy" - ist grosszügig und stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück im Salon des Schlosses war bestens, mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Wir waren und sind begeistert von unserem Aufenthalt im Château de la Motte Beaumanoir, vor allem auch dank der/den sehr netten Gastgeberin/nen.

Wir bedauern, dass wir auf der Durchreise leider nur einen Tag bzw. eine Nacht hier bleiben konnten. Aber das lag an unserer Reiseplanung und weil wir zuvor keine Kenntnisse von diesem Schloss hatten. Das nächste Mal sicher länger...

Cet endroit est merveilleux et ressourçant. Tout est raffiné, l'accueil était très agréable avec une bonne musique et une bolée de cidre dans un salon bien décoré. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec une vue imprenable sans vis à vis. J'y retournerai sans faute, c'est un havre de paix et de beauté

Nuit au château exceptionnellle, l'accueil, le charme du lieu, le calme, la vue sur le plan d'eau et toute sa faune, nous avons vraiment apprécié ce trop court passage en ce lieu.

Ein Traum, in einer Parkanlage an einem kleinen See gelegen. Zimmer war groß und zweckmäßig eigerichtet. Zimmer sind über eine Wendeltreppe erreichbar. Aufgrund der Lage sehr ruhig. Man kann sich im Schlösschen bewegen, es gibt einen Aufenthaltsraum, Billard und den Garten kann man auch benutzen. Parken kein Problem. Zum Essen sind wir in den nächsten größeren Ort Dinan gefahren. Frühstück war sehr nett hergerichtet.

De locatie,het kasteel, de super vriendelijke ontvangst ,het ontbijt ...alles was top. We sliepen in de Eva Peron kamer met zicht op de tuin en vijver. Heerlijk geslapen.

Esperienza TOP il soggiorno in un vero castello, davanti al lago! Ottima l'accoglienza anche con un boccale di Sidro fresco. Abbiamo apprezzato anche il tavolo da biliardo messo a disposizione degli ospiti.

Essendo una struttura d'epoca c'era qualcosa che poteva essere migliorato (ad es la porta del bagno non chiudeva). La colazione è buona ma non eccezionale, mi sarei aspettata qualcosa di piu'. Ma ad ogni modo è davvero cercar il pelo nell'uovo.

Schlafen in einem Schloss - wann hat man das schon?! Sehr große, stilvolle Zimmer. Perfektes Frühstück, sehr sympathische Vermieterin. Können wir nur empfehlen!!

Un rideau de douche au niveau de la baignoire serait bien pratique

Un séjour de rêve ! Le site est vraiment exceptionnel, le château comme son jardin, encore mieux que ce que nous pouvions imaginer. Un endroit où le temps s’arrête, un calme absolu, un personnel discret et attentif, d’une grande gentillesse. Tout a été fait pour que l’on se sente le mieux possible. Une adresse à conserver et que nous vous recommandons sans réserve !

La connexion pourrait être améliorée mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé. Débrancher et se déconnecter semble être la meilleure option pour profiter de ce lieu magique.

L'edificio è bellissimo e, anche se le stanze meriterebbero qualche restauro in più le nicchie presenti, la maestosità del luogo, la vista incantevole, il parco e il lago lo rendono una meta unica nel suo genere.

Al nostro arrivo la stanza era caldissima ed è rimasta tale per tutta la notte. La porta del bagno rimaneva aperta e per un po' di privacy bisognava appoggiare dalla stanza qualcosa per tenerla appoggiata completamente al muro. Le finestre sono divise in due parti e per oscurare quelle più in alto bisogna un po' ingegnarsi o avrete luce dalle 5 del mattino alle 22. La zona scrittoio aveva due finestre senza alcuna tenda o protezione. Nella stanza non sono presenti frigo o clima o ventilatori in caso di necessità di rinfrescare.

Le château vue d’extérieur

Grosse déception, le château organisait une réception privée sur son domaine le soir où nous y avons séjourné, nous n’avions pas été mis au courant. Résultat, des cris de personnes saouls sous nos fenêtres toute la nuit, de la musique jusqu’à 6 h du matin, des lancers de pétards à 1 h, j’ai du demander à des personnes de la soirée d’arrêter de jouer au billard et de parler fort dans les espaces communs à 3 h 30 du matin. Le château en lui même est beau, la salle de bain de notre chambre agréable, même si la porte ne ferme pas. Concernant le petit déjeuner, il s’agit de jambon Herta, de baguette sûrement de chez carrefour et de fromage en barquette.

Wow - übernachten auf einem richtigen Schloss mit Blick auf den See. Ein tolles Erlebnis! Die Einrichtung unseres Zimmer war wirklich royal und die Begrüßung durch die beiden Damen des Hauses am offenen Kamin mit einer Tasse Cider war ganz wunderbar. Das Frühstück war ebenso hervorragend und es war schön, dass man frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen dazu bestellen konnte. Ebenso war unser Hund willkommen und konnte sich frei im großen Schlosspark und am See bewegen. Für uns ein perfekter Zwischenstopp auf unserer Reise in den Südwesten Frankreichs! Wir kommen gern wieder.

Das Badezimmer ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und war sehr kalt. Hier könnte auch die Sauberkeit noch etwas verbessert werden (Haare vom Vorgänger, Erneuerung der Silikonfugen).

Le lieu est magnifique ainsi que le château qui dispose de plusieurs pièces ou l’ on peut se détendre, faire un billard. Café, thé et infusions sont à disposition. La salle de petit déjeuner est très agréable. Petit déjeuner copieux. La chambre est très spacieuse, confortable et très propre. La vue sur le parc est superbe. L’hôte est très accueillante, de bon conseil et plein de petites attentions. C’est un lieu que nous recommandons pour un séjour agréable.

Superbe endroit, chambre au charme vieillot qui contribue à l’ambiance de ce magnifique château. Très confortable, personnel adorable, petit déjeuner excellent. Une excellente adresse. 😀

Difficile de trouver un restaurant dans les environs, mais on peut commander une ardoise fromage/ charcuterie au domaine.

Amazing owner and a place itself. We stayed in a few different chateaux, but this one was the best. The furniture, rooms, everything remind you of era of kings and queens, so authentic. We also were offered for a welcome drink once we arrived, and it was amazing. The food for breakfast has a great quality, fresh, local, not like from supermarket, much better! I wanna say thank you to Emmanuelle for being such amazing host and having us. I recommend everyone to stay here - it is an amazing experience.
