Eco Vibe Resort

Emplacement excentré mais privilégié au milieu des montagnes. L’architecture et la vue depuis le lit est exceptionnelle. Accessible par une côte raide. Nôtre chauffeur n’a pas pu y monter mais le propriétaire est gentillement venu nous chercher. Très bon restaurant. Il faut être patient mais ça en vaut la peine. Petit déjeuner bons et copieux. Pas de vente d’alcool. Nous avons réalisé une randonnée de 4h aux alentours sur les recommandation du propriétaire qui était très agréable mais un peu chère, avec baignade dans la rivière.

Nombreuses fourmis dans la salle de bain, surtout en cas de pluie. Pas de service de laundry / machine à laver. Nombreuses coupures d’électricité, généralement brèves, mais qui peuvent s’avérer longues sans climatisation (il fait vite très chaud). Literie ferme mais draps agréables.

Wauw wauw wauw, een verborgen parel in een prachtig land :) Door omstandigheden konden we maar 1 nacht hier verblijven dan de oorspronkelijk 2 geplande nachten. Maar wat hadden we achteraf spijt. De accommodatie is fantastisch! We sliepen hier met onze gordijnen open (bovenste kamer) en werden wakker met het meest fantastische uitzicht van onze reis. De host (vader van de eigenaar) verzorgde ons als een echt koningspaar. Het eten was super vers en heel lekker. We hebben zoooo genoten van ons verblijf! Wij deden in de omgeving een aantal wandelingen met Sudath (gekend door de familie), helemaal aan te raden!

Honestly, we didn’t have any major complaints. We really enjoyed our stay, and everything was comfortable and well taken care of.

Architectonisch meest bijzondere accommodatie tijdens onze reis. Met prachtig uitzicht vanuit kamer met volledige raampartij aan voorkant, en ook vanaf terras.

Het is eigenlijk wat verder weg van de meest belangrijke hikes in de Knuckles range. Ze bieden wel een (prijzige) hike in de onmiddellijke omgeving aan, maar Riverston ligt op 45 minuten rijden dus niet echt logisch. Je kiest dus vooral voor een bijzonder verblijf, niet als gemakkelijke uitvalsbasis voor exploratie van Knuckles. Wij zaten in de topkamer en onze zoon sliep dan op een vide met ladder bereikbaar. Daar was het overdag niet te harden zo heet, de airco hielp daar niet. In de avond koelt het gelukkig af.

La vue de la chambre est incroyable, A/C + eau chaude, le lit est confortable. Le personnel est adorable et très arrangeant, aucune difficulté pour nous trouver un taxi, Tuktuk, guide possible pour une randonnée incroyable dans la montagne. En plus de tout ça, la nourriture est excellente, nous recommandons et revenons avec plaisir !

Die Lage ist einfach einzigartig. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Der Host (in unserem Fall der Vater des Besitzers) war sehr bemüht und fürsorglich. Essenssonderwünsche (vegetarisch) waren kein Problem. Besonders zu empfehlen ist die Walking/Hiking Tour durch die umliegenden Wälder, Reisfelder und Dörfer. Mostly my wife enjoyed the hot water and food we had And the guy was there assisted us so good I forgot to ask his name chef really does great job too

There is no guidance if you come alone with your own car they will not assist you I tried to call and text when we got lost but owner didn’t reply or pick up I guess because we are Sri Lankan and even we met him to our face few times he didn’t even smile at us all which was bad experience need to put sign board to find a the place and no tv and WiFi I understand very slow coz top of the mountain and electricity shuts down and night was very hot bad feeling when you spend a lot of money for staying it’s not really worth it for money inside room is fine but so boring if you stay only there So before you go here think twice

The best of the best is the view and the breakfast. The room was very clean and the atmosphere was amazing. I would highly recommend this place to another travel buddy.

This property is an absolute hidden gem and somewhere that would make any trip to Sri Lanka memorable. The owner is an incredibly kind and considerate host who facilitates a wonderful stay in the knuckles mountain range. The property itself is gorgeous and unique. The views from both the room and dining area are fantastic. The location of the property is nicely tucked away up a steep road and gives you a feeling of peacefulness and remoteness. The food served at the resort is creative, fresh, and aromatic.

Not a negative, but it’s important to note that the resort is in a remote area so it’s not like you can just walk down the road to a restaurant. That being said, the food served at the hotel is wonderful, and we were happy to dine with them for every meal of our stay.

- when you stay multiple days, I would suggest you have your own vehicle/tuktuk so you’re not dependent on the owner. We loved driving around in our tuktuk! - the place is high up in the mountain, which logically means there are some bugs so don’t be too scared

Unser Aufenthalt im Eco Vibe Resort war hervorragend. Supun war ein super netter und herzlicher Gastgeber, der wirklich alles getan hat, um unseren Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu gestalten. Die Zimmer waren groß und sehr sauber, die Aussicht ist atemberaubend und morgens von den Geräuschen der Tiere geweckt zu werden, war sehr schön. Supun hat uns sogar einen Tag durch die Berge gefahren und mit uns eine kleine Wanderung unternommen. Darüber hinaus war er sehr flexibel, was meine besonderen Essenswünsche anbelangte. Für die Zukunft hat er noch einige Pläne und ich hoffe sehr, dass wir eines Tages wiederkommen können!

Alles war super, aber man sollte wissen, dass man mit einem Auto oder Tuktuk deutlich flexibler ist, da die Preise für geführte Wanderungen im Dschungel relativ hoch sind.

Beautiful mountain and paddy field views with a peaceful atmosphere. Supun and his staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. Tasty food and a great place for a relaxing stay.

The place offers an authentic view with a lovely, relaxing vibe. It’s clean, well-equipped with everything you need, and perfect for a quick getaway from busy everyday life.

Prachtige plek en prachtige accomodatie!! De eigenaar heeft het geheel zelf ontworpen, en het is heel erg mooi!! Zowel op je kamer als in het restaurant en op het balkon kijk je prachtig uit over het dal. Ik kan dit iedeen aanbevelen!

The hotel is in the most perfect position with a lovely view over the valley. There are only three rooms and it's incredibly peaceful. All you hear is the sound of the river in the valley below. Meals are simple but good. The owner is so helpful and a very interesting person. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It's a really delightful place to stay. And incredibly good value.

The position of the structure is unreal! Amazing! Special mention to the owner, very kind and happy to help us during our stay!

Once we found Eco Vibe Resort online, it immediately ticked a lot of boxes for what we were looking for: a stay in nature, away from the crowds, with great views, a clean and safe environment, and genuine hospitality. If you are looking for something like this, do not hesitate—just book it. Supun and his staff will take care of all your needs and wishes, just as they did with ours. The effort to imagine, dream, and eventually build a property like this is truly 'out of the box.' Combining all of that with such outstanding hospitality is a remarkable achievement. The property is absolutely stunning!! designed by Supun the owner and built with input from his father who was an engineer! The view from the room is honestly one of the greatest I’ve ever seen. The starry night sky and beautiful sunrise were magical. So many details to take in! The common area is relaxing and welcoming. Supun is incredibly kind and took us to see the local waterfall and rice fields, pointing out wildlife and sharing knowledge along the way. He helped us arrange a tuk tuk to get to viewpoints and entrances to walks/hikes. We loved being somewhere more rural and away from the typical tourist route. A true highlight of our trip so far, we would highly recommend staying here.

Original, beautiful and the owner is so nice ! He gaves us many advises and we had a wonderful night. Don’t hesitate to eat there the food is also very good.

Incredibly unique stay: 10/10 food (vegan and nut free options, chef was always open to our requests), fantastic and kind staff (Supun the owner and his dad were so kind and Isuru was lovely!), beautiful views right from the bed, comfortable bed, the constant sounds of wildlife, fantastic tours available!

This was truly a special and unforgettable stay. The place is simple yet absolutely stunning – a beautiful structure immersed in greenery, with breathtaking views over the mountains. A real hidden gem where nature and peace surround you completely. The owner is a wonderful person, incredibly kind and welcoming. He’s also a wildlife photography enthusiast – and truly talented! I honestly believe he should publish his work – his shots are amazing. Dinner was delicious and beautifully prepared, and the whole team was so kind and thoughtful. They even waited for us until late, as my girlfriend wasn’t feeling well, just so we could still enjoy our meal when she felt better. That kind of care is rare to find. A magical place with beautiful people. We left with full hearts (and full bellies!). Highly, highly recommended.

This was one the best hotels i stayed in my time in Sri Lanka. The staff was great and the owner even more so. I did a tour with him through the knuckle forest reserve and it was absolutely beautiful. He also knew a great deal about the places we went to and the local community. The hotel was clean, had a good vibe and the vieuw from my room was amazing. 2 other rooms where being built and he had plans to put in a pool. If this place gets known, its going to be packed with tourist. I would highly recommend this place and if i ever go to Sri Lanka again, this hotel is going to be at the top of my list.

Me and my partner could not be more impressed by our stay here, the views were breathtaking and the staff were wonderful catering to all our needs. Our meals, specified to our requests, were vibrant and full in taste. Supun was very informative of the nature that surrounded us and what wonderful walks were within the vicinity in which he sorted out a local to take us in his tuktuk. If you are considering to stay here I could not recommend it more! Supun in his humble nature eluded to a 10% charity donation from the fee you pay to stay here, so if nothing sways your mind giving a little to charity surely does!!

Wir hatten hier einen fantastischen Aufenthalt und wären gern länger geblieben. Die Aussicht aus dem Raum/ der Anlage ist traumhaft. Zudem sind die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und äußerst hilfsbereit. Es ist alles sehr sauber und das Essen (von einem Koch zubereitet) war ebenfalls sehr lecker!

To put it simply this is probably the best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka. The view is magical, the staff is welcoming and so helpful and the food is delicious. The owner, Supun, will take you around visiting the highlights of the area. He's a friendly and knowledgeable person that is always there to help. Highly highly recommended! You will regret leaving!

The breakfast and dinner were very delicious and there was a large selection. Ian is an excellent cook 😀. The room with a window like a triangle was very special, it had a comfortable bed and an extraordinary view. Supun and Ian, who operate the resort, are very friendly and nice hosts. Supun also helped us to see the beautiful nature there, nice ricefields and unfortunately Riverston in mist. We want to return if it's possible
