The location was beautiful and the view from our room with the balcony was perfect. The breakfast was great and ao was the food at the hotel’s restaurant, so much that we ended up having dinner there every night.

I feel that the room was much smaller/less beautiful than they seemed in the photos. The spa could use a colder shower for after the sauna.

The views from the room were very nice, you get the sunlight at the end of the day over the balcony and the hotel is located in a very secluded location and therefore is very peaceful.

A vista, a paz do local, a piscina muito simpática, o pequeno-almoço e os jantares muito bons.

Os quartos precisam de um refrescamento na decoração. Algumas peças de mobiliário estão um pouco desgastadas. O sistema de ligação das fichas é confuso e pensávamos que os candeeiros não funcionavam. A casa de banho precisa de uma luz por cima do lavatório para as senhoras fazerem a sua make-up e os homens fazerem a barba.

Wir verbrachten hier die letzte Nacht unserer dreiwöchigen Rundreise durch Portugal auf dem Weg von der Algarve zum Flughafen Porto. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die wirklich grandiose Lage des Hotels. Von unserem Zimmer und dem großen Balkon hatten wir einen wunderbaren, weiten Ausblick auf die Landschaft und den Stausee. Die Umgebung ist ausgesprochen ruhig und eignet sich sehr gut zum Entspannen. Auch die Größe und Aufteilung unserer Suite haben uns gefallen. Positiv waren außerdem das sehr gute WLAN sowie die hervorragend und angenehm leise arbeitende Klimaanlage. Für eine Übernachtung auf der Durchreise ist das Hotel daher grundsätzlich gut geeignet.

Aufgrund der ansprechenden Beschreibung und der schönen Fotos bei Booking.com hatten wir dieses Vier-Sterne-Hotel bewusst für die letzte Nacht unserer dreiwöchigen Portugal-Rundreise gewählt und auf einen besonderen Abschluss gehofft. Leider wurden wir enttäuscht. Das Hotel ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig, Mobiliar und Interieur wirken abgenutzt. Besonders im Bad: Whirlpool ohne Funktion, Flugrost an Metallteilen und ein stark vergilbter Haartrockner. Auch die Sauberkeit überzeugte bei genauerem Hinsehen nicht: Schimmelspuren hinter dem Kosmetikspiegel, eine längst austauschbedürftig wirkende Toilettenbürste und Produkte der Minibar mit überschrittenem Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum, die Schokolade beispielsweise seit drei Monaten. Für vier Sterne nicht angemessen. Auch die Gastronomie blieb hinter unseren Erwartungen: Das Frühstück war einfach und überschaubar, der Fisch beim Abendessen so stark frittiert, dass er für uns nicht genießbar war. Den Spa-Bereich haben wir nicht genutzt. Auf den Außenpool verzichteten wir wegen des sehr trüben, auf uns nicht hygienisch wirkenden Wassers. Auch die Außenanlagen wirkten ungepflegt. Unverständlich war zudem der Check-in: Am Vortag hatten wir auf Aufforderung einen ausführlichen Online-Check-in einschließlich Ausweisdaten durchgeführt. Vor Ort wurden diese Angaben erneut verlangt, sogar die E-Mail-Adresse, an die zuvor die Aufforderung geschickt worden war. Dieser Ablauf sollte überprüft werden. Unser größter Kritikpunkt bleibt die deutliche Diskrepanz zwischen den attraktiven Buchungsfotos und dem tatsächlichen Zustand. Fazit: Die außergewöhnlich schöne und ruhige Lage ist die große Stärke des Hauses. Gemessen am Vier-Sterne-Anspruch, der Präsentation bei Booking.com und dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis waren wir jedoch enttäuscht. Renovierung, sorgfältigere Pflege, bessere Organisation und eine Aufwertung der Gastronomie würden diesem wunderbar gelegenen Hotel guttun.

Sossego. Vista espetacular. Quarto espaçoso. Muitíssimo bom.

Área envolvente e a beleza do hotel. Acordar praticamente em cima do rio é incrível. O pequeno almoço foi ótimo e os funcionários eram todos super atenciosos e simpáticos.

Estando perto do rio, é expectável que haja insetos e bichinhos mas tivemos alguns dentro do quarto e com o calor que estava, não havendo redes mosquiteiras nas janelas/porta era difícil abrir alguma sem que entrasse algum mosquito ou bichinho.

De tudo ! Excelente lugar para relaxar, gastronomia excelente, atendimento excelente limpeza etc… nota 10!

This hotel is located right by the river in nature. Amazing views. Quiet. Very spacious and clean room. Great outdoor swimming pool. It is not super modern but is in very good condition. We would definitely like to come back here.

The only small thing, we thought breakfast didn't really have a lot of choice, but it was still quite good.

they advertised a massage a day and when you think you will get an actual massage - its just a jacuzzi. However that being the case- then they should then advertise a jacuzzi not a free massage. its false advertising. Also we had dinner the first evening and it was lovely- the second evening we opted for a desert only and a port wine- the receptionist gentleman called and very offish said :its strange for you to want only desert and port wine!" it wasnt nice. i think i can have what i want.

The photos look amazing, but unfortunately they don't reflect reality. The hotel's location and river views are absolutely beautiful, but the rooms are very outdated and poorly maintained.

When we arrived, the floor was dirty with dust and hair from previous guests. Housekeeping cleaned it immediately after we reported it, which we appreciated. However, the room still had mold on the bathroom ceiling, makeup stains on the wall, fingerprints on the glass doors, and a loose toilet paper holder. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. We booked this hotel specifically because temperatures outside were 39°C (102°F), but after more than 2.5 hours, the room was still 29°C (84°F). The receptionist reset the unit, but it made no difference. At €125 per night, a working air conditioner should be a basic expectation. The spa area looked nice but felt like a greenhouse because of the large glass windows, making it far too hot to relax. Because of the large glass windows that couldn't be opened, it felt like a greenhouse. The sauna was permanently set to 89°C with no possibility of adjusting the temperature, making the entire area unbearably hot rather than relaxing. In the end, the room was simply too hot to sleep in, so we had to cancel our stay and find another hotel on a Sunday evening. Thankfully, Booking.com refunded us. Unfortunately, the receptionist showed no empathy when we left. No apology, no eye contact, and no friendly goodbye. We left feeling as though we had done something wrong, despite the hotel clearly failing to provide the basic comfort we had paid for. Beautiful location, but disappointing accommodation and service. We would not stay here again.

Não faz sentido entrar pela recepção para ir à piscina. E falta chaleiras, fui com um bebê e tive que descer ao restaurante para poder aquecer água, o que não é prático.

What a treasure of a find! This accommodation was superbly located for our purposes, on arrival the staff were very friendly and the room with its view overlooking the river was excellent. We were able to buy beers on arrival (late afternoon) and enjoy the sunshine from the terrace which also overlooked the river. On top of this the dinner was really good and the breakfast provided the next morning was equally as good. This hotel exceeded our expectations.

The shower was so tiny you couldn't wash yourself. The caddy to hold the products was covered in mold. Pillows had stains on them. Restaurant situation was very strange. No mention of required reservation, then was told we needed one, and almost no spots available. Showed up and only 4 tables all night, zero music or atmosphere. Very strange. Nothing that close by so you're kind of stuck. Was in the bungalow that looks private but it's directly next to the car park. Staff was very nice and it was affordable but would not recommend.

It has an incredible location, on the river front. The rooms are cozy and the vibe is generally great.

Unfortunately we couldn’t stay at the property, because there was a hornet nest next to our bungalow and my partner is allergic to them. Also the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell.

We stayed at this Hotel for 6 days .Lovely setting nestled in a valley by lakes and reservoirs surrounded by forest woodland , a hidden gem , enjoyable breakfast , very polite staff. Would not hesitate to return

Da localização e da simpatia dos funcionários.

A limpeza do quarto foi muito superficial. O hotel não oferece muito mais do que o quarto e o pequeno almoço. Fizemos apenas uma refeição no restaurante e, ainda que a comida seja boa, é demasiado pretensiosa e cara para um hotel deste género. Nos primeiros 3 dias da nossa estadia, o spa esteve indisponível e, uma vez que foram dias de chuva e frio, não podemos usufruir da piscina. No quarto dia esteve bom tempo, mas a água da piscina estava suja... Regressei a casa com a certeza de não voltar a este hotel, nem de o recomendar a ninguém. Para cúmulo, quando entreguei as lembranças que comprei no hotel, percebi que o frasco de compota tinha data de validade de 12/10/2024!
