Ocean View Bach

What an amazing find. Beautiful accommodation with a million-dollar view. Very well equipped for our stay of two nights. The surrounding areas is definitely worth a visit. Plenty of walks close by and gorgeous wineries for lunch on the way home. This little place is definitely worth a visit, especially in the winter with the log fire and spa pool!

We had the most amazing night here, the view is beautiful and the place was even better than we expected! The house was styled like a magazine and we kept commenting on how perfect it was. Easy check in, clear instructions and communication. Super close location to Christchurch for a weekend away. We left feeling relaxed and like we’d had a holiday even though it was only an hour away from home. Loved it, we’ll be back!!

Lots of flies and sand flies but we were informed about this, so it wasn’t a biggie and we brought some bug spray with us (like being on the West Coast).

The view absolutely took our breath away when we drove up to the property, the place is very well situated and we couldn't wait to get cozy on the couch and watch the view from beside the fire. The wood and kindling supplies were well stocked, as was the tea and coffee. Everything was very clean, and there were plenty of towels for showering and cleaning supplies for tidying up in the kitchen. We were impressed that both rooms had good heaters in them as well as the central fire, as it was a cold night when we were there. Fantastic stay, would book again!

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Ferienhaus in Neuseeland. Alles war absolut sauber, total modern eingerichtet, und der Whirlpool war das absolute Highlight. Die dazugehörige Aussicht war einfach atemberaubend. Wir haben uns von Anfang an richtig wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Es ist eines der besten Ferienhäuser, die wir je hatten.

The beautiful view, a well stocked kitchen, lovely linen and comfortable beds. The spa, all the little touches and home comforts. You can tell so much thought has been put into all of it.

Ocean View Bach was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. The views from the bach are absolutely amazing and we enjoyed watching the sunset and sunrise from the spa pool, which was definitely an extra luxury. The place is very tastefully decorated and the renovations Nikola and family have done are out of this world. The beds were very comfy and it was great having a fully functioning kitchen so we could prepare our own meals. The goodies left in the fridge were an added touch and very gratefully received. We enjoyed walking around the wee town of Motunua and down to the beach, but were also more than happy relaxing in the beanbags and comfortable outdoor furniture admiring the gorgeous view! I would highly recommend Nikola's place to anyone, I guarantee you will fall in love with it like we did. We will definitely be back!

Quiet, private location with wonderful views over the ocean & Motunau Island. The owners have done a great job renovating this property into a modern, but cosy Bach - the photo book showing the renovation journey is a nice touch … as was the bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival :)

Amazing location with panoramic views. The house has been done up to a high standard with everything we needed. Perfect night for star gazing in the spa with the Milky Way on show and shooting stars. Excellent communication from the host.
