Muni's Terrace Bungalow

We had a fantastic time at Muni’s! He was so welcoming to us, him and his daughter took us to local events and were so warm and fun. We made coffee and coconut oil next door at this family’s home, and the food everyday was delicious and so well priced. Big thank you to you Muni and to the whole family!

We had a great time at Muni's Terrace Bungalow. The bungalow enjoys stunning rice‑field views with Rinjani volcano in sight. Breakfast was tasty and freshly prepared each morning. Muni is a very hospitable and helpful host. And Amk is always with a smile. We would definitely recommend this place to other travellers!

Tout La simplicité ,le cadre,l’hospitalité des hôtes et leurs voisins qu’ils soient proches ou éloignés ! Le fait que nous soyons dans un cadre qui représente tellement bien ce pays et son peuple est vraiment ce que l’on recherchait et on a été service! Pour mes frères / sœurs de confessions musulmanes des mosquées à proximité seront d’une grande utilité avec de nombreux dikr/rappelles ! Un bonheur absolu !

Mettre la direction de la qibla et une bouilloire et quelques sachets de thé / café dans les lodges Proposer des circuits courts de visites Mais c’est pas des points négatifs juste des petits trucs pour être encore meilleurs! We had a great time at Muni's Bungalow. We went there hoping to experience authentic indonesian village life and with the tour Muni organized for us we got exactly what we were looking for. Beside this the meals prepared by Muni and his daughter were very nice. The hospitality of Muni and the people living nearby was very nice and we felt at home fast.

Der Inhaber war sehr freundlich und hat uns tolle Möglichkeiten gegeben das lokale Leben kennenzulernen Die Unterkunft war sauber und entsprach den Bildern auf booking. Außerdem hat man einem außergewöhnlichen Ausblick.

Es gibt einen gecko der etwas laut ist jedoch gewöhnt man sich schnell dran. Das gehört eben dazu wenn man in einem Bungalow lebt.

The host Muni, the location, the views, the culture and the quietness of this bungalows were sublime! He would bring pancakes every morning to the bungalow (on time, of course) and would chat with us to make our stay really pleasant. The rice fields in front of the bungalow were breathtaking, the people surrounding the area were really friendly and the kids really playful and curious about what you're doing in the ares. Don't even hesitate on taking a bike and get lost because we found the most beautiful people and rice fields ever and even a traditional wedding!! If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, this might not be for you, as the bungalows are basic (you have to know where you're going), but if you're looking for the real and authentic Indonesian experience, this is 100% the place.

I would say the animals at night were a little bit noisy, but you're in the middle of pure nature, so nothing out of the normal.

Es war für uns ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Wir wurden in Bengal am Hafen abgeholt und haben auf unseren Wunsch hin eine Kochschule mit einheimischern gehabt. Es war eine außergewöhnliche Erfahrung, die uns nah gebracht hat, wie die Menschen dort leben. Die Leute waren alle sehr sehr herzlich. Wir fühlten uns wie in einer Familie. Der Fahrer hatte für uns alles wunderbar organisiert, so dass wir in Bengal am Hafen nicht suchen mussten. Die Unterkunft selber liegt in einem Reisfeld mit atemberaubenden Blick. Obwohl alles sehr einfach gehalten ist, ist es ein absoluter Ort zum Wohl fühlen wenn man erleben möchte, wie die Menschen dort leben. Auch der Transport zum Flughafen hat wunderbar gepasst.

Es hätte etwas sauberer sein können ist aber den Gegebenheiten bedingt okay

Muni war sehr freundlich und hat uns auch einen tollen Tagesausflug zu Wasserfällen und zu einem Bambus-Workshop, sowie um Black Monkeys zu sehen, organisiert. Die Atmosphäre und die Natur sind wunderschön,auf der Terrasse des Bungallows sitzend bekommt man von der Aussicht nicht genug. Muni und seine Familie sehr gastfreundlich, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Banana Pancakes zum Frühstück sind toll. Das Bungallow ist fantastisch abgedichtet, sodass man die Geckos nachts zwar gut hört, sie gelangen aber definitiv nicht rein. Das Dorf ist überhaupt nicht touristisch, man erlebt das Leben auf Lombok hautnah.

Es ist keineswegs ein Problem gewesen, nur ein Hinweis an Reisende, die es vielleicht nicht erwarten. Die Gekkos sind in Indonesien recht groß und rennen nachts laut auf dem Dachboden herum. Außerdem hört man ihren Gesang sehr deutlich. Das störte uns nicht besonders, da das Bungallow wunderbar isoliert ist, und die Tiere draußen bleiben. Die Geräusche der Natur gehören zum Charme der Unterkunft!

Muni ist ein toller Gastgeber. Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt. Einen Tag haben wir mit Muni und seiner Familie verbracht - das war unser Highlight! Auch der Blick aus dem Bungalow auf die Reisterassen ist atemberaubend! Die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr einfach, hat aber alles was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt braucht - Bett, Dusche, WC, Waschbecken und Klima. Was man wissen sollte ist, dass man wirklich abgelegen ist und nicht so einfach von A nach B kommt, wenn man keinen eigenen Roller hat.

Munis is een hele vriendelijke host, staat altijd voor je klaar en kookt heerlijk! Zeker een aanrader om hier te verblijven, helemaal met het prachtige uitzicht. Zelf ben ik 1 nacht geweest, maar achteraf had ik hier langer moeten blijven. Boek daarom zeker 2 nachten omdat Munis ook tours doet door de omgeving!

Muni is way more than just a property host. He is very friendly and took superb care of us during our stay. He helped us experience true Lombok.

The terrace bungalow was the perfect accommodation choice to explore the heart of Lombok. The sorrounding rice terraces were stunning, the host was kind and welcoming, the breakfast was yummy and the room itself was clean and nicely furnished. We were also able to rent a scooter from Muni to explore the area.

No warm water

Munis est adorable. Il nous a permis de passer une journée formidable avec une famille d’un village voisin. Très belle expérience. Le lit était confortable et il y avait une bonne pression dans la douche. Munis nous a également préparé un très bon dîner pour un bon prix. Le petit déjeuner était également bon.

Pas mal de Geckos dans la toiture, ce qui est un peu bruyant mais j’ai l’impression que c’est le cas un peu partout et Munis n’y est pour rien !

Beautiful location. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and tastefully decorated. We got breakfast sent to our room in the morning and it really is an experience to eat overlooking the rice terraces😊

Stayed for one night and loved this little cabin located in a beautiful landscape with view of Rinjani and sunrise over ricefields. Everything was perfect and the owner is super friendly and made delicious breakfast and even dinner for me. Would absolutely recommend!

I absolutely loved my stay at Muni’s place so much! From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and taken care of a massive thank you to Muni, who made me feel completely at home. The rooms are spacious, clean, with a big bathroom and comfortable bed, everything you need to truly relax. But the best part is the view! Terima kasih dan sampai jumpa lagi! ❤️

Amazing 4 day stay with our host muni! So welcoming and friendly and the bungalow was perfect. All very clean and tidy, amazing views of the rice fields on our doorstep and so peaceful. Cooked breakfast every morning delivered to our hut and freshly made dinners as well, which were all amazing and very reasonable. Muni invited us to spend a day with his family cooking with local ingredients, roasting coffee, making coconut oil and getting a real insight of everyday life, a great experience. He invited us out for music events in the evenings with him and his friends and let us use a motorbike to explore more of Lombok. An amazing stay and experience with the best host! Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay in one of the 2 bungalows. The prices for food, scooter rental and local activities are fine. And there are fun things to do in the area, although sitting on your terrace and looking at the rice fields is also not bad. You can also have a walk there. Muni is very committed to his guests and makes sure you have a nice stay.

There is a lot of life in the roof of the bungalow. Lizards and mice that make a lot of noise but fortunately not in the room itself. Fortunately there are few mosquitoes.

So lovely place! Next to the amazing rice fields with the view of Rinjani! So romantic. Around no tourists. You have to rent a scooter, but its easy. So local place. The owner was lovely and kind. He offered also dinner, and breakfast was ok. :)

The best views of the island. Andrei is an amazing man and his meals were reeeally taste. He had take care of us the 3 nights that we stayed at the bungalows, texting us every day to know what we would like to dinner and breakfast. He also organised a tour to a local market with his family and we made coconaut oil and garu garu with tofu, all soooo taasty. Its a 100000/10. We will recommend it to all of our friends.

We had an unforgettable stay in this bungalow, nestled deep in the rice fields—a true haven of peace, cut off from the world. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Muni, whose kindness and attentiveness made our experience truly special. He took great care of us from morning till night, preparing delicious meals and serving them directly in our room. Renting Muni’s scooter allowed us to explore Lombok with ease and discover its beauty at our own pace. This stay was even more meaningful during the month of Ramadan, as we had the privilege of sharing this sacred time with the local community and being close to a mosque. It was a deeply serene and enriching experience. We leave with immense gratitude for Muni and the locals who welcomed us with such warmth.

Amazing place and lovely host

Beautiful tranquil setting among the picturesque rice fields and mountain views. Very private and quiet aside from the nearby mosque music which played very loudly about 3 times/day. The food was very good. Note: Lunch and dinners are 30,000 rupiah (not 25k as listed on booking.com). I enjoyed the free breakfast omelette and banana pancake. The A/C helped with the sweltering heat and humidity. Very beautiful place to just rest and unwind. There are a couple small stores but limited food/ market options available, unless you have a motorbike. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and a good value.

There were quite a few bugs, mostly little ants in the room and bed. There was also quite a bit of lizard dung in the bathroom which probably could have been easily cleaned up before I arrived. So, it could have been cleaner, but compared to many places in Indonesia, not bad. Maybe just clean the bathroom more thoroughly before guests arrive. Many bugs during wet season, but that’s expected.

The most beautiful location I have seen in Lombok so far. The hosts are so sweet and welcome and do their best to show you a local and authentic side of Lombok. It was such a special experience I will cherish forever. Lan is a great cook and can cook you lunch and dinner for only 30.000. Breakfast is included. You have the option to go on tours with Muni and give back to the locals. I teached English at a local school and I roasted my own coffee with the neighbours.

Shower did not work that well and was a bit cold, but the bungalows were extremely nice for the small price that I paid.

Truly a special place. Firstly, Muni is awesome. He is so helpful and caring and has some amazing recommendations for things to do in the area. These aren’t regular recommendations either, they are personalized trips! My girlfriend and I both want to be teachers, so Muni set up a day with us at an elementary school nearby. It was fantastic. Also, the food here is amazing!! Lan does such an awesome job with breakfast and every other meal as well and is such a nice guy to be around. 1000% would recommend.

The people were so kind! The food was delicious, we had a private chef. We talked with him and then we booked the next day with him for making coffee, coconutoil and cook lunch. We went with him to the local market. After that we made this things at his house. I recommend to do this. It was just so cool to be with the locals.

we planned to spend 4 nights in the bungalow and extended one more because we liked it so much!! The bungalow has been amazing and the location was perfect surrounded by many rice fields. Muni was so nice and showed us around. He took us to his family to roast coffee in the traditional way and showed us how to make coconut oil. When he visited his friends or family we were always welcome to join. The time we spent was not enough and we would have loved to spend more time in Lombok at Munis beautiful bungalows. Thanks for the wonderful time muni!

In the middle of the rice fields. Wonderful sunrise, beautiful just sitting outside of the bungalow observing the rice fields or going for a walk. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Prepare delicious dinner if you ask for that. The owner offers a lot of additional activities to get to know and experience the local culture.

Bungalow is very clean and the bed is super comfortable. AC + clean bathroom. The place is new, opened a few months ago. View is stunning, directly in the rice fields. Service was excellent as was the food, tasty and generous meals. The owner and the staff were incredibly kind, went above and beyond to help us and make our stay pleasant. We participated in harvesting the rice, roasting coffee and visited many handcrafts shops in the village. 100% recommend for an authentic experience in Lombok. Thank you!

It's good to know there are many mosques around and it can be noisy. Not a critic, just something to keep in my mind when you come to this area.

The location is absolutely stunning. You are in the middle of rice fields with the views to Rinjani and to beautiful green valley. The guys who care about the place have a lot of information about real village life and are able to prepare for you experience with rice production, making of coconut oil , etc. And they are really brilliant, helpful and enthusiastic. Have to say that all the people around this place were excellent. Rooms are simple but clean, with AC.

We had an amazing stay at Muni’s! The bungalow is situated in the middle of rice terraces and has an amazing view of sunrise and Mt. Rinjani. Muni really made us feel at home. He brought us to a local market to buy coffee beans and arranged for us to roast and grind the beans with a neighbour. It was a great, local experience! We also had dinner each evening at Muni’s and Lam prepared delicious food for us and served it on our terrace. Great breakfast too! If you are looking for an authentic experience in a beautiful setting, we highly recommend Muni’s!

The accommodation is basic but clean and in an amazing setting. Great value for money overall!

Beautiful location away from the bustle of city life, you can see the sunrise in the morning with rice fields in front of you, and Mount Rinjani to the left from the bungalow door. At night, you can watch the starry night sky with the cool weather. The bungalow is surprisingly clean and bug-free (so long as you keep the doors closed) given the location, and it comes with AC, an ensuite bathroom and breakfast. Muni and Ilan(?) are gracious hosts and do their best to help. Truly a great spot for a single or couple exploring the area on a motorcycle.

At the point of time of his review, no heated water, so you have to take a cold shower here. The path to the bungalow is not paved, so only motorcycles can be parked in this accommodation, and it is also unsuitable for walking disabilities. Due to the environment, expect to hear a lot of crowing roosters and Islamic calls to prayer before sunrise. The calls unfortunately tend to sound off-key and dissonant, so it can be very jarring.

It’s such a comfy Stay & we loved being here! The owner is so lovely and helped us with everything and even took us with him on a daytrip with his old classmates! Breakfast is really nice, you can enjoy it with a beautiful view (you can even see Mt Rinjani) Bed is really comfortable as well.

The little bungalow you stay in is in the heart of a local village in Lombok, surrounded by rice fields. Asmuni, the host, was the friendliest and nicest host I’ve ever had. He showed us lots of different Lombok culture and traditions and provided some lovely breakfast for us. He completely made the stay for us and I could not recommend it more
