I love the hotel itself. The staff we're friendly and helpful. Narcisa and the chefs at the atrium were very accommodating. The hotel is immaculate.

The steaks we had we're tough. I ask for med rare but it came out medium. The pool's chlorine content was quite high, it made my eyes sting. There's no hair conditioner in the room.

The value in terms of overall price for the level of luxury was amazing.

Sto aspettando il rimborso della colazione perché il secondo giorno, avvisando precedentemente in quanto non prevedeva cibo gluten free di qualità, non ne abbiamo usufruito. Nonostante ho ripetuto al check out che avessimo solo un giorno di colazione me l’ hanno addebitata nella carta presa come deposito. Spero di risolvere, non e’ piacevole pagare 60 sterline di colazione non usufruita .

Booked evening meal night before wedding at 7pm. Finally got our meal at 8.45pm. items missing and not brought out even when asked. One lady waitress rather rude. Lighting in our room we stayed in very dim and dark.

Struttura bellissima, e bellissimo parco intorno dove il nostro cagnolino ha amato scorrazzare durante il nostro soggiorno. Camera ampia e pulita. Staff cordiale e gentile.

La colazione era buona ma poteva essere più varia per il tipo di hotel (mancavano affettati e formaggi e l'hashbrown). Il resto tutto ok

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at De Vere Tortworth Court. The magnificent Grade II listed Victorian manor is set within extensive, beautifully maintained grounds, with impressive botanical gardens, mature trees and thoughtfully positioned sculptures. The architecture is stunning, while the warm and welcoming interior retains much of the character and grandeur of the historic building. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere of the 1853 Restaurant, which also provided a wonderful setting for the buffet breakfast. What made our stay especially memorable, however, was the exceptional level of customer care. A special mention must go to Richard Carr, Guest Relations Manager, who responded promptly and professionally to a minor issue we encountered when checking into our room. He listened to our concerns, took ownership of the matter and resolved it swiftly, which we greatly appreciated. We would also like to recognise Alex at the Atrium, who went above and beyond in looking after my wife by arranging complimentary room service and a drink for her. It was a genuinely thoughtful gesture that demonstrated a personal approach to hospitality. A huge shout-out to the entire team at De Vere Tortworth Court. From reception and housekeeping to the restaurant and other guest-facing staff, we consistently experienced warmth, professionalism and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality customer care and service.

Room was lovely, and comfortable. Some of the staff were lovely.. Breakfast was nice, and afternoon tea in restaurant was a great experience!

Unfortunately a member of staff was not helpful in helping us fix the rooms Googlecast - and lied to us about it being resolved. The PA then attended the room to look into but had no idea what to do.

Accommodation outside the main building is a bit of a rabbit warren and difficult to find way around. The bathroom facilities were poor. We could not turn on the shower - took brute force to move the control - after asking what to do. The marker for hot and cold was not clear (virtually worn off) and the water took so long to run from cold to hot and back again, we couldn't work out what was what. The radiator in the bathroom was looking in need of attention.

Great location and superb grounds.

The hotel holds numerous weddings. There were 3 during our 2 night stay. So atmosphere was a little chaotic and busy at night. We were unable to have breakfast in the main dining room as they were full so we were sent to the Atrium which had run low on many items and also over subscribed. Our room was severely in need of renovation.it was very clean but smelt musty so had to leave the windows open. Considering the rate we paid for a superior room we just expected more.

The hotel was really great at accommodating early check-in for us. The hotel gardens and restaurants were really beautiful. We loved that there was lots to do on site so didn't have to leave.

There's a pool and sauna/steam room that's available but the spa itself doesn't really have any relaxation space so not really a spa - would have been nicer with some space to relax.

Could not have been better. Appreciated everything being ready when we arrived, the room was exceptionally comfortable, the grounds were amazing, the dinner and service were fabulous, breakfast was a great start to the day. All of this made a memorable getaway for my wife (and me). Thank you to all your team.

Beautiful building and location

Tired looking in places, many rooms need updating. A huge difference in the 4 (same priced) rooms we booked - bathrooms in 3 out of 4 need a massive overhaul. Mediocre breakfast for price and type of hotel (basic options, machines for hot drinks that you had to queue in for ages)

We’ve been 3 x so far it’s just perfect in every way. Staff 10/10. So lovley on every level. Alex bar manager is super helpful ! Was everywhere helping

Room was a bit dusty and felt unkept, could also do with an upgrade bathroom and windows (couldn't open one window on a hot evening), Lamp plugs and sockets intermittently worked, concerned about the wiring.

Bar/restaurants were lovely. Food excellent. Staff wonderful. Pool/jacuzzi adequate. Sauna steam room ok but upstairs away from pool area by the ladies changing rooms so wernt sure if for ladies only or not. Gardens beautiful. Room large and comfortable. Lovely toiletries.

Cleanliness of room not great. Stains on soft furnishings. No mirror on dressing table. Taps in bathroom scaled and dirty. Toilet seat yellow underneath needs some bleach on it. Leftover wedding confettee stil in room. Dirty cup and saucer. No instructions on how to contact reception, or times for breakfast or checkout. Nothing to say lamps were on a different circuit to bedside lights so thougth they were broken. No bottled water or glasses in room. Curtains broken and hanging off rail. Too much chlorine in the jacuzzi as it burnt our eyes. Bed a bit hard.

I bought my parents for their 60th wedding anniversary - they couldn’t have a shower because there was a problem - I had to give them my room to have a shower in . The manager was very understanding and didn’t charge me for the room but it just wasn’t the experience that I was hoping for for my parents 🙁

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at De Vere Tortworth Court and would definitely love to return. The hotel and its surroundings are simply beautiful and make the whole stay feel really special. The room was comfortable and good value, but what really stood out were the facilities — having access to the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room included in the stay was such a lovely addition to the trip. The outdoor seating and drinks area was charming, the food at the hotel restaurants was excellent, and the service throughout was great. There was even a wedding taking place during our stay, but it didn’t disturb our experience at all. Convenient parking and the gorgeous setting made everything even better. I genuinely enjoyed every part of my stay

Inital room not acceptable outlook to roof and air conditioning units, and even more frustraiting no air con in room. (Not as described on booking.com) Limited times (only late) available for dinner in resturant due to number of guests. Limited use of swimming pool.

Beautiful, well maintained building & gardens. Dining staff & Bar staff were excellent. Friendly, worked quickly, we didn't have to wait long, Weddings & a party elsewhere in the hotel didn't affect level of service. Food was good, well presented and tasty. Housekeeping needs to improve, Our room was dusty, especially the bedside tables. crumbs on bedroom floor, an old plaster behind waste paper bin, showing it hadn't been fully hoovered. There wasn't any mattress or pillow protecters, lumpy pillows. No air con & cooling fan was full of dust & fluff, a missing remote control meant we couldn't osculate the fan & it was needed, the room was very hot! We weren't advised there is QR code on the bedroom mirror, you request a room clean & other services. We found out on our 2nd day that rooms are not serviced everyday, we found out on returning to our room to that mornings wet towels. I rang reception and they did deliver fresh towels. Check in wasn't the best. Could have been warmer & friendlier. We weren't advised there was a carpark near our room, would of saved a long walk through the hotel with luggage. There isn't a lift to courtyard rooms so request a ground floor if stairs are a problem for you, we struggle with mobility and struggle to carry heavy luggage upstairs due to medical problems, we were told "only a few stairs" but it was a full flight.

The building is gorgeous. The grounds are stunning. The breakfast was good, fresh food. Spa was lovely, very nice facilities and very nice rooms/restaurants with high ceilings.

Because we booked with Booking.com we had to wait for a 4pm check-in. Come 4pm our rooms were still not ready, by the time we all had checked in it was 4.50pm and it would have been longer if we wanted our rooms to be near each other. The room itself was a little run down. The floors in the room and the bathroom were dirty, it seems they had not vacuumed before allowing us to check in.

I'm handicapped and was put in room 233 A long way from breakfast Also up a flight of stairs. We were a towel short, I asked to replace it and it didn't happen. We were locked out of our room and had wait a while to get it fixed. We were on our way to bed after the wedding supper.

Love this hotel, the buildings and gardens are beautiful.

We loved the room, but it could have been cleaner on this occasion. We have stayed many times and in different rooms and always found rooms clean, room had a lot of dust in areas and bathroom was not its usual 100% . If you go early for breakfast it is fine, but if it’s a busy time it’s not enjoyable, they would need to sort the area for food, drinks better due to volume of guests.

Beautiful location, great quiet well-maintained surroundings, easy access from the M5, mini carparks near each wings of rooms, gorgeous dining room, decent size modern comfortable rooms, very pleasant smiling and helpful staff (mostly). The Steam and Sauna were working fine.

The breakfast buffet layout and setting is diabolical, a Houseki manager needs to experience it to understand all the problems linked to it. Our bedroom didn't have bath towels and our telephone was not working either. The Spa treatments and pools are great but the female changing rooms up a flight of stairs and super warm next to the sauna is a total fail. Worse the lockers Pads needs to be replaced, hardly any work properly and after 30 attempts (wasting 1/2hr) we finally managed to secure our bags and belongings into 2 working lockers. The worse we ever encountered in any spa in the UK!! Moreover the compulsory shower to get into the pool was out of order.

The staff were lovely in every location of the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and there was plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy the sunshine with drink from the library bar and play a bit of table tennis too! The building itself is stunning and and a lovely place to spend a few days away. My partner and I also enjoyed the use of the pool/sauna which was also included in our stay. A lovely little treat!

The location and the grounds were beautiful. The restaurant was tasty for dinner and lunch, and the bar was fun.

The room was not clean. The bathroom was dirty/grubby and the bath and sink didn’t drain properly. When we asked for the room to be cleaned they just chucked the duvet back and didn’t change linens or hoover or anything? For the price you’d expect a proper room clean every day. Breakfast was okay.

The building, architecture, yard, location, and surrounding areas are all great. It’s a very romantic place and ideal for couples. Free parking is also a great perk. I didn’t use the spa facilities, but I was told that, as a guest, I was entitled to one free hour of spa access per day.

I know it’s an old building, and it’s the UK a country where AC apparently hasn’t been invented yet, but my brain still can’t process the fact that you pay hundreds of pounds per night for a hotel and end up sweating in your room without AC.

Location, beautiful grounds, lovely restaurants and bars, good food. Pleasant staff. Lots of parking options available so you can park near to your room.

Our room was tired. Sink had large crack which was stained, black mould around bath, lots of cobwebs. Shower controls were jammed on hot so unable to shower until maintenance had been to fix it which delayed our day. The room was far too hot a fan was provided but windows only open a crack so hard to get air circulation. Hotel had numerous weddings over weekend so was very busy. Atrium restaurant- staff and food lovely but was so hot in there it made experience unpleasant.

Как это возможно в Британии? Очень грустно. Соседнее здание, судя по карте – тюрьма. Сомнительное соседство.

The hotel was dark and dingy upon arrival. Staff were not welcoming at all. They were rude. We were told we could check in at 4pm we arrived at 4:15 to be told our room isn’t ready and is undergoing final checks by the cleaners. After 45 minutes of still waiting at the reception we got into our room. The hotel corridors were dirty and smelled like dirty hoovers and damp washing. There was dirty towels and cleaning cloths just left in the hallway. There was cleaning cupboards just left open fully exposed with no cleaners in sight. On the way to the room there was two Henry hoovers with wires going across the floor just left there. We opened our room door and we just wanted to cry. The room didn’t smell fresh it was dirty. Bathroom was covered in hair and pubic hair. We booked a courtyard suite and the room looked nothing like it did online. It was a tiny dark double room with two single beds pushed together. After complaining to the hotel manager he couldn’t offer us another room so we had to check out it was that bad… so by 6pm we was driving all the way back home. The hotel manager had nothing to say apart from we have had lots of complaints about the pictures not looking exactly like the actual room. I was told by the manager the photos advertised for the Courtyard Suite they use is the only one room they have that looks like that. They are only advertising one room. So it’s basically luck of the draw if you get that room or not.

What a stunning place to arrive at and then the whole experience was wonderful from start to finish.

We was celebrating an anniversary and they made it so special!! Towel art on the bed, a lovely card and chocolates too!! The grounds are absolutely stunning!! The staff were so welcoming and lovely to talk to and so helpful with our little pup we brought!! Beds were comfy, rooms were spacious and our dog had his own bowls and bed(although be brought his own). Lovely outside seating area perfect for a few drinks and take it the view.

Only thing which was slightly uncomfortable, was the noise and creaks coming from the people staying above us. Completely understand as it seems to an old building however every step they made was very loud and kept us awake, so if light sleepers maybe ask for an upstairs bedroom.

Beautiful property and grounds but the rooms were dirty with no ventilation and non existent service. I DO NoT recommend this property at all.

Despite many emails to ensure everything was ready when we arrived and given their very late check in of 16:00, the rooms were not correct and they were filthy! I am attaching photos - dirty cups and teaspoons, a throw over the bed with a blood stain, crumbs everywhere in the room, sticky liquid all over the pedestals. The rooms were serviced after 16:00 and even then the bed was half made, the toddler bed not at all and nothing was cleaned despite complaining via email. The rooms are boiling hot, the window opens about 5cm and there is hardly any ventilation. The indoor pool’s floors are dirty and there is so much chlorine in the pool and jacuzzi your eyes burn for days. Restaurants seem to struggle with the amount of guests and the breakfast reminds me of a cheap motel. I do not recommend this hotel at all and it isn’t worth any stars in my opinion.

It was really hot in the room, there was a small fan but it was not enough.

The invoice email is from dv and looks like a scam as the hotel is not named. The rooms were tiny and very basic. The bathroom was very old and in desperate need of updating, the bath was narrow and slippery and a shower cubicle would have been much better. The toiletries felt watered down and were impossible to pump. There were ants crawling everywhere. No hash browns at breakfast or omelette!

The staff were friendly, especially in the bar area. Stunning building and lovely restaurant and bar area.

The rooms we stayed in were in major need of a refurbishment. Paint peeling off the walls from damp, the bathroom was full of mould and in need of a deep clean, we even found multiple hairs on the floor. I believe the upgraded rooms are of a much higher standard.

The location, it's quite a drive to places you would like to go around for example Bristol , bath, Cotswold. If you like to just chill in the hotel then it's a perfect place, quiet and nice garden you will love The room was ok but I wish I was more in a room that has more lighting, I felt I was in a dungeon haha, but it's ok

Beautiful grounds, lovely outside area, old and interesting building. A good breakfast, well stocked, in the stylish dining room. The bar is stunning with the tall glass ceiling. We enjoyed the spa facilities.

Upon check in we was given the wrong room number meaning someone was already in that room so we had to go back to reception to get this changed. We also had some miscommunication from the lady on the front desk who said the tipi was open on a night where it was closed for a wedding so we had to eat in the main restarunt.

When checking in we weren’t told that we needed to book meals and things like afternoon tea and the roast. It resulted in us having to have dinner late on the Saturday as that was the only spot left and completely missing the roast and afternoon tea

Pas propre - Pour aller aux chambres on traverse un labyrinthe de couloir mais malheureusement il y avait des bouteilles d’alcool vides pas ramassées, des plateaux avec des coupes etc.. depuis notre arrivée 16h jusqu’au lendemain.. - la piscine.. un simple bassin eau assez froide même si affiche 30… et un mini jacuzzi qui est resté monopolisé par un groupe pendant 30min.. et comme pas de surveillance personne pour réguler ça.. bref c’était compris dans le prix ok mais sinon je déconseille de payer pour ça… - les salles de bains sale (syphon pas nettoyer donc forcément l’eau douche s’évacue très très mal, les joints et le bac de douche blanc tout taché..) - les moquettes sales..
