Sehr nettes altes Schulhaus mit Sauna

Vanha kansakoulu oli kerrassaan hurmaava! Tunnelma oli erittäin hyvä ja omistajien kanssa oli helppoa pitää yhteyttä. Ennen kaikkea olin kiitollinen siitä, kun omistajat laittoivat saunan päälle minua varten (sauna todella tuli tarpeeseen erittäin sateisen pyöräreissun jälkeen!). Paikka on lähellä lauttayhteyttä, joten reissu Naantaliin/Turkuun ja sieltä pois sujuu erittäin helposti.

Oikein mukavat ja joustavat majoittajat! Viihtyisä ja kauniisti sisustettu. Hyvä sauna. Hiustenleikkuukin onnistui vielä lähtöaamuna.

Aivan ihana ja idyllinen majoituspaikka. Todella siisti sekä viihtyisä. Isäntäväki erittäin ystävällisiä ja huomaavaisia. Sauna oli lämmitetty valmiiksi pitkän päivän jälkeen, jota arvostimme kovasti! Suosittelemme majoituspaikkaa erittäin paljon, kiitos!

Historic building, cozy, friendly hosts

The hosts was very, very nice. We have had a very warm welcome. We enjoyed the Sauna very much. Outstanding! Ein außergewöhnlich schöner Ort mit sehr netten Gastgebern. Es würde sich lohnen, länger zu bleiben! VIELEN DANK!

Viehättävä paikka, mukava isäntäpari, hyvä sauna. Loistava sijainti matkalla Hakkenpään pyörälautalle.

Isäntäpari oli aivan ihana sekä heidän koiransa, joka hauskuutti lapsia puolestamme. Sauna oli kekseliäs ja siellä oli hyvät löylyt. Kaikki oli erittäin siistiä, lakanat, pesuaineet ym. siististi esillä. Hyvin esteettistä! Lisäksi kahvia/teetä ja pieniä patukoita sekä valmispuuroa oli tarjolla, jos itsellä ei ole evästä mukana. Todella huomaavaista!

Kaikki sujui erinomaisesti. Pimennysverhot voisivat olla joidenkin makuun, mutta pärjäsimme hyvin ilmankin.

Kiva huone ja todella hieno sauna! Aamupuuro ja kahvi kiva lisä😊

Kaikki oli, kuten pitikin. Sängyt, peitot ja tyynyt erittäin mukavat. Saunassa lempeät hyvät löylyt.

Pienen lomareissumme saariston rengastiellä kruunasi yöpyminen täällä. Oli kiva paikka ja jo muidenkin ylistämä sauna oli sateisessa Suomen kesässä taianomaista. Paikan pitäjät ystävällisiä ja kaikki ihan 6/5

The interiors, the room

Majoitus vastasi kuvausta. Ystävällinen vastaanotto, loistavat löylyt pihasaunassa. Iso plussa aamulla tarjolla olevista pussipuuroista, hedelmistä ja kahvista! Matkalla majoitukseen kannattaa käydä kaupassa, jos kaipaa tuhdimpaa aamupalaa.

Sauna kuului hintaan, majoitustila oli tilava ja matka pyöräilyreitille lyhyt.

Vähän oli haasteita löytää oikea piha.

Hyvin idyllinen majoitus lähellä Saariston Rengastietä. Vanhaa aikaa henkivä rakennus ja sisätilat. Hauska pihasauna. Hyvin ystävällinen isäntäväki.

Hoitamattoman näköinen piha saa aluksi luulemaan, että itse majoitus olisi jotenkin rähjäinen ja kulahtanut, mutta tämä luulo ei pidä paikkaansa.

Wunderschönes altes Schulhaus. Wir hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer im Obergeschoss. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Und die Gastgeber Jenni und Douglas waren super nett und haben uns mit Eistee und Cappuccino begrüßt. Wir haben am Abreisetag noch lange zusammengesessen und erzählt. Die Sauna ist toll. Sie wurde extra für uns angeheizt.

Das Bad ist recht klein und wenn beide Zimmer belegt sind ist wenig Privatsphäre im Bad möglich, da das Waschbecken in der Gemeinschaftsküche ist.

Viihtyisä paikka ja oli kiva, että illalla pääsi vielä tunnelmalliseen pihasaunaan. Mukava isäntäväki, kaikki sujui hyvin!

Sauna, myös aamiaistarpeita tarjolla vaikkei ollut mainintaa.

Paikkaa oli hiukan hankala löytää, kun ei ollut mitään kylttejä tms.

Ihana paikka! Vanha koulu tyylikkäästi sisustettu, hyvä sauna, rauhallinen sijainti. Aamiaistarpeita, jääkaappi jne käytettävissä. Superystävällinen isäntäpari.

Det var lugnt, skönt och välstädat. Bekväma sängar. Mycket trevliga värdar som var verkligt tillmötesgående på alla sätt. Härlig bastu! Kaffe, te och frukter fanns att tillgå.

Finns inget att klaga på.

Klein en super sfeervol hotel in voormalig schoolpand middenin de natuur. Heel vriendelijke host en alles inbegrepen (sauna, wasmachine, gezamenlijke keuken etc).

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber - gut ausgestattetes sauberes Zimmer - für Fahrradfahrer sehr günstig zur Fähre gelegen (die nur morgens und nachmittags fährt).

Ihanan viihtyisä paikka juuri sopivasti Saariston rengastien/ Velkuan reitin varrella. Oli oikein sydämellinen vastaanotto. Majoitus siisti ja viehättävä. Sain täällä reissuni parhaat unet. Suosittelen :)

We had a lovely stay at the Little Red School House! The hosts were very welcoming and gracious. We rented the room with the private detached bathroom. The highlight was use of their wood-heated sauna. Don't pass up the opportunity. You get to reserve a time for your own use. The hosts provided coffee and tea and a simple breakfast of fruit, oatmeal, and nuts and dried fruit. There is a restaurant nearby in town, but we picked up dinner at the grocery store before biking in. We had a microwave, portable stove burner, and dishes so it was easy to heat our dinner. The old building with high ceilings was very charming and we saw deer in the field at night and in the morning. A great place to stay!

Nothing much. The Booking ad was a little confusing on which room had a private bath. The ad stated it was private and shared. It was just detached from the room, but very comfortable.

Great house with a history! Lovely location, very nice and clean room and comfy beds. Great sauna! Douglas is very friendly, we had a great chat, he was very informative and made us feel at home. The common area is well equipped.

A bit pricey considering the sharing of bathroom and kitchen with another couple. A small breakfast box could be useful, since there are no shops nearby.

Historical charming renovated school house in close proximity to the ferry port. Our room downstairs was lovely and the shared bathroom was no problem. The adjacent kitchenette was stocked with fruit, oatmeal cereal and snacks. To top this all was the best sauna experience and the memorable warm and engaging interaction with the hosts.

Absolutely nothing

Beautifully renovated old log schoolhouse with lots of charm and antique décor. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. The wood-fired sauna was a great experience, and the location was peaceful and scenic.

Limited privacy as the space was next to the owners’ house with only one door between. Shared facilities (one brand new shower and toilet) and a kitchenette separate from the main sink area made things a bit inconvenient. Sauna was great but no cooling swim afterward. Few dining options nearby, so a car is recommended. Price felt high for just one room compared to full cottages with lake access.

Super friendly hosts. Lots of space. Great shower. They also have a wonderful sauna!

We are very happy with the stay at this place. It’s conveniently located on the archipelago ring trail. The place was converted from a school house and the owner still keeps most of its original taste while upgrading with the modern amenities. Unlike many other accommodations we had on the trail, all beds are already made for us when we arrived! And there are even free snacks and oatmeal packs. All amenities provided are high quality ones. We also had our first private traditional sauna which is included in the stay. The owner is also very friendly and helpful while not intruding. They also have a friendly dog, our kids had fun playing with the dog.

The stairs can be challenging for some people to climb if you book the room upstairs. There is only one toilet to share between all guests.

Probably the best accommodation experience in years. It was simply amazing to arrive at this place after a day of cycling and find coziness, aesthetics, and comfort in every detail, along with a sense of history in the old school building. We were able to enjoy the sauna, and everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Jenni and Doug have been amazing hosts and such wonderful people to meet. We hope more travelers will discover this hidden gem!

We had a lovely welcome by the host. The property is full of character and immaculately clean and we had a very comfortable and peaceful stay.

This was a very convenient location for an overnight stop to catch the nearby ferry in the morning. The room was very spacious and having a washing machine available (with detergent) was a huge bonus. There were some basics for breakfast (even though it was a room-only booking). Welcoming hosts made the sauna ready at a convenient time. A a bonus I had the kitchen and shower room to myself as there were no other guests.

The stairs to the bedroom area might be a little tricky for someone who is less able, especially as the toilet/shower room was on the ground floor, but there was another bedroom on the ground floor that could be booked.

Very nice and charming house. Beautiful decoration. Lovely hosts. Room is spacious! Area is calm and peaceful. Ask for the Sauna to be used - a must do when visiting ! And take time to meet the hosts and other guests - you will love it…..

Location location location. On the adge of a nice old village with lot’s if nature around. Natural silence and singing burds. What more do you want?

Beautifully decorated and cared for. The owners’ love was evident throughout the space. All the little details were cared for on behalf of the guests. Also lovely sauna!

The sauna experience here is excellent. The place is quiet and peaceful and the owners have done a great job renovating around the constraints of the old school house building. The property is close to a local restaurant that has great food.

It's a very nicely renovated old school building with charming rooms. It was super clean everywhere. Every small detail was done nicely, from bathroom supplies to kitchen necessities. The sauna is an experience and also very nicely done.

I personally would have prefered proper blinds instead of the curtains, but I do understand they would not fit the style.

Everything was so perfect! Couple owning this place is so lovely and they did everything to make us feel relaxed and even changed the heating time of the sauna for us. Amazing. We really enjoyed the place and can warmly recommend this one for everybody visiting in the hoods!

Very cute and special place with lovely hosts. Sauna in the yard was wonderful after a long day of cyckling. The bed was extra comfy!

Could have used a little more privacy in the downstairs room. Maybe for example a non-see-through curtain for a glass door would work nicely.

we spent a great sporting holiday on bikes, the Little Red School House was like a home base for us, from where we started our adventures every morning, well-rested. The location is excellent, we recommend it to all cyclists.
