Everything was perfect. We went on a cloudy day but we did not.miss out on the beauty of Pure Sea Boutique Lodge. Our hosts, Pichy and Bjorn and such hands on, excellent hosts. We're definitely coming back soon.

We loved the place. It has such attention to detail, the rooms are so well equipped and beautiful. The staff is exceptionally nice, and the owners. It was a real treat for my wife and me.

The location is perfect, the rooms decor is stunning, food is delicious, even the products in the rooms are exceptional. The hosts Pitchy and Bjorn are a delight and very welcoming. The staff, Brandon and the other gentlemen including the housekeeper are all super friendly and give the best service. We will be visiting again most definitely.

We loved everything.

Wonderful! The architecture, the decoration, the furniture, the view, the people! We had a very relaxing time at this amazing place. Everything was clean, comfortable, the room is big and view is amazing.

Das Frühstück war ein absolutes Highlight – mit viel Liebe angerichtet und einer Auswahl, die keine Wünsche offen ließ! Pichy und Bjorn sind tolle Gastgeber! Alles was top, van de kamer, de locatie, het ontbijt, tot de eigenaars toe, in 1 woord fantastisch! Wat een rust en comfort en wat een geweldige fijne plek om tot rust te komen.

Durch die geringe Anzahl an Zimmern, war die Atmosphäre sehr familiär. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und der Service exzellent.

What a charm of a place! An extraordinary location made even more perfect by meticulous design and attention to detail. Two heartfelt owners and their team focussed on you having the best time. White sand, shell & boulder beach is a dream….and that’s without mention of the zebras!

Ein wahrhaft magischer Ort - hier ist nichts dem Zufall überlassen. Alles ist perfekt, bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht. Man spürt vom ersten Moment an die Leidenschaft und Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber. Bilder können das besondere „Gefühl", das man an diesem Ort erlebt, unmöglich einfangen - in Wirklichkeit ist es noch viel, viel schöner. Pichy & Bjorn haben etwas wirklich Außergewöhnliches geschaffen. Einen Ort, den man nicht einfach besucht, sondern den man erlebt - und der lange im Herzen bleibt. Auch das gesamte Team ist unglaublich! Vielen Dank für die wunderschönen und unvergesslichen Tage!

Magnificent setting in a fynbos estate with private access to the beach. Modern spacious luxurious lodge with great attention to detail. Only 4 suites so its very intimate with excellent hosts and staff. Excellent breakfast and food on request. There are beautiful walks along the beach and in the estate there is a huge variety of wild flowers durting spring and we passed zebras which was an unexpected delight .

Pitchy und Björn sind fantastische Gastgeber. Sie haben ein wunderschönes Paradies für Urlauber geschaffen und führen es mit Liebe und Herzblut. Vielen Dank nochmals für diese tollen 3 Tage. Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt. Dieses Boutique Hotel ist wirklich außergewöhnlich.

Honestly breathtaking lodge settled in the fynbos and beaches at Romansbaai. Bjorn, Pichy and their team created the perfect beach hide away. Comfy design, relaxing atmosphere, amazing sunsets and beaches, lovely food. Just get their, relax and soak it up. Just amazing! Thank you

It was all perfect.

Die Lodge sowie unser Zimmer war ein einziges Erlebnis. Die Lodge war mit viel Liebe zum Detail, sehr modern und geschmackvoll ausgestattet ebenso unser Zimmer. Wir können die Lodge nur empfehlen uns werden bestimmt wieder komme n.

Es gab nichts zu beanstanden.

Die Lage und die Aussicht war einzigartig. Super, wenn man auf der Suche nach Zweisamkeit und Entspannung ist. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle super zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Besitzer selber sind super nett und Sorgen dafür, dass es einem an nichts fehlt. Auf der Anlage leben zudem Zebras, die teilweise zum Sonnenuntergang ganz nah an die Unterkunft heran kommen.

From the moment we booked. Pichy & Bjorn were absolutely amazing - so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. They both went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect even before we checked in, which really set the tone for our stay. Breakfast was lovely, with a great variety of options to choose from - definitely something for everyone! A special shout to Nico, who was also incredible and made us feel so well looked after. There isn’t a single thing I can fault about this hotel. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we genuinely can’t wait to stay again. Highly recommend!

Diese Unterkunft ist - man kann es nicht anders sagen - der absolut Hammer! Wir sind schon viel gereist aber haben so etwas noch nie erlebt. Hier bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise stimmt alles bis ins kleinste Detail. Von den grossartigen Owners Bjorn & Pichy, welche mit Herzblut alles unternehmen damit es den Gästen gut geht, über das wunderbare Personal, das gesamte Design der Lokalität, die wunderbare Lage am Meer, das grandiose Frühstück, das Erlebnis im Hotpot bei Sonnenuntergang mit Sparkling Wine und einer wunderbaren Tapas-Platte, der leckeren Holzofen-Pizza usw. usw. Man kommt aus dem Staunen nicht mehr heraus und man will die Anlage gar nicht mehr verlassen. Trotzdem haben wir kurz die nahegelegenen Klipgat Caves und Plaat besucht -> magisch! Wir werden auf jeden Fall bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Südafrika wieder kommen. Herzlichen Dank Bjorn und Pichy für das was ihr leistet und für die Gäste geschaffen habt - einzigartig!!!

Es gibt absolut nichts auszusetzen oder zu verbessern.

Das Hotel ist einfach ein Traum! Von der ersten Minute an fühlt man sich dank der beiden wunderbaren Besitzer wie zu Hause – herzlich, aufmerksam und voller Liebe zum Detail. Das gesamte Interieur ist harmonisch abgestimmt und mit so viel Geschmack gestaltet, dass man sich kaum sattsehen kann. Der Poolbereich ist atemberaubend und lädt zum Träumen ein – besonders die kleinen Highlights wie der Hot Tub machen den Aufenthalt zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Auch das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen – frisch, vielfältig und mit ganz viel Liebe zubereitet. Ein Ort zum Ankommen, Wohlfühlen und Wiederkommen – einfach perfekt!

We loved every moment of our stay at Pure Sea Boutique Lodge — everything was just right, and the true luxury lay in all the thoughtful, handpicked details. From the little Belgian chocolates on our pillows to the binoculars for whale watching and the carefully selected minibar with fair prices, every touch showed such genuine care and attention. The rooms were absolutely beautiful — elegantly minimal yet wonderfully cozy, creating the perfect space to relax and unwind. A special highlight was the delicious tapas platter with bubbly on our terrace on the first evening — an unforgettable start to our stay. Breakfast was another delight, especially the outstanding banana bread French toast, which was truly one of a kind. The location is absolutely dreamy, with direct access to a private beach, and the staff went above and beyond in every possible way — incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay special. And if you have the chance to join the private chef’s dinner — do it. It’s an experience not to be missed. Pure Sea Lodge is a place where every moment feels effortlessly perfect. Highly recommended!

We celebrated our 30th Anniversary and Bjorn & Pichy went above & beyond to make our stay feel exclusive and very memorable. The breakfasts were mouth-wateringly delicious, the chefs special evening meal was so scrumptious! The massages were out of this world! We marvelled at some of the European touches to the property and surrounds.

There is nothing at all that we didn’t like!

I had the most wonderful stay at Pure Sea Boutique in Gansbaai. The property is set in an idyllic location right on its own private beach, offering both beauty and tranquility. The gracious owners have thoughtfully curated every detail to create the most comfortable and luxurious stay. The décor is stunning, the lighting has a magical warmth, and my room was spacious, modern, and elegant. Every element feels intentional, from the high-quality finishes to the unique touches that make the space feel so special. I loved that they even make their own skincare product, such a thoughtful and unique detail that really sets this place apart. You can truly tell the owners put their heart into making every guest feel welcome and happy. Their hospitality is unmatched. Breakfast each morning was excellent, and the homemade cappuccinos from their impressive espresso machine were the perfect start to the day. I cannot recommend this gem of a lodge enough, for its warm and fantastic hosts, breathtaking setting, luxurious rooms, and the highest level of hospitality. A truly unforgettable experience.

There is nothing we disliked about this property.

Pure Sea was tranquil, heaven on earth…….definitely worth the visit, private beach, amazing bath tub and picnic sunset moments!!!

The place is gorgeous, you can see the sunrise from the bed if you leave the curtain open. We also booked and hot tub (extra money) and watched the sunset from there. It was magical with the zebras and springboks on the property.

The pizza for dinner was not good. Also, we were missing a room key card when leaving and they were so picky about it saying they would charge us. You don’t expect this behavior in a $400/night place.

One of the best places we’ve ever been, congratulations to Bjorn and Pichy for having created this beauty. Simply stunning!

Every single thing! The attention to detail, the design, the hospitality, the views, the amenities, literally everything was exceptional. To top it off there were zebras in the estate too! But in all honesty, it was the nicest hotel / lodge I have ever stayed at. Pichy and Bjorn have honestly thought of it all and it honestly goes to show. The food, the experiences and their communication was 11/10. I would recommend Pure Sea Boutique Lodge to all. I really do hope that I will be back !

The Design, the interior, the warm welcome, the hospitality, the breakfast, the lovely carrot cake and as an special add on the Zebras directly in front of the house. Amazing Location in Gansbaai! The greeting by arriving, the details and comfort in the Suites, the outstanding Location over the sea, the extraordinary breakfast and most of all, the kindness and professionality of the staff ! Always ready to help, give advices, book restaurants, etc …etc… We highly recommend this Boutique Hotel for a stay in Western Cape.

The view- wow. The hotel is set in the most gorgeous spot. The whole lodge was designed so beautifully with even the smallest detail having been carefully thought through. The owners have a very special eye. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend the hotel more. We wish we could stay longer!

Everything was amazing! The location, the design, the service, the food and all of the personalised touches and small details that make a big difference. We loved everything.

If I had to pick on something, it would be a more extensive wine list. More boutique wines in-line with the brand and experience. (Rather than mass produced)

This property is very special and unique. This is the place away from the hustle at home where one recharge, relax and find the beauty we have in South Africa. I did not want to leave this Pure Sea Lodge set in fynbos on the beach. We have received a warm welcome from owners Björn and Pichy and staff. Actually they have helped me organised a wonderful anniversary weekend before we have arrived. The rooms are comfortable and attention to interior is immaculate. The food was great, even the cappuccinos made by Nico. We have enjoyed tapas, the hot tub and strolls on the beach.

Pure Sea is one of, if not the most, special places we have ever stayed. The hospitality provided is second to none, whilst not being intrusive. The property itself is designed immaculately with such great attention to detail. We had a beach picnic and tapas in the hot tub and both experiences were fantastic, set up to the highest standard and the food prepared was presented beautifully (and tasted amazing!).The zebras roaming the property is a real highlight! The owners have clearly put so much effort into creating the property and really strive to give the guests a unique and luxury experience, which they have achieved! Worth every penny…and more! Will recommend anyone visiting SA to visit here on their trip.

Stunning location and views. Absolutely peaceful place to unwind and relax. Hosts and staff are great and really make you feel welcome. Beautiful and modern rooms with really special touches. Love the eco friendly everything. Breakfast is really good. I would definitely stay here again.

A little privacy in front of each room would be great. Guests were walking past our room to access the pool area even though there were not supposed to walk that way. A hot tub/plunge pool for each room would be amazing.

Pure sea is a piece of heaven! Everything about it was perfect! Literally everything! The rooms, the service, the food, the location, the attention to detail to ensure that guests have everything they need… Wow! A big thank you to the team for making our stay amazing! I loved everything and can’t wait to go back.
