Wat een fantastische ervaring. Prachtige lodge, super vriendelijk onthaal, lekkere maaltijden die besteld kunnen worden en de Safari is de max! Een aanrader tot en met. Als we kunnen komen we hier zeker terug.

Een heerlijk rustige afgelegen plek, mooi aan de rivier met een fantastisch uitzicht uit je bed. Luc was erg aardig en behulpzaam. Vooral bij het vacation house was de tuin prachtig aangelegd.

De onverharde weg er naar toe was in de regen best een uitdaging vonden wij. Maar was uiteindelijk wel te doen.

Aircon couldn't bring room temp up to 22 degrees.

Veel ruimte binnen en buiten, grote bedden. Goed uitgeruste keuken. Veel licht in huis.

Koud huis, geen mogelijkheid de woonkamer te verwarmen. Koude betonnen vloer. Dit is in de winter vervelend, in de zomer zou dit juist fijn kunnen zijn. In de omgeving zijn weinig voorzieningen aanwezig, je moet ver rijden om bij een winkel of restaurant te komen.

The location was incredible , we stayed in the glamping tent right on the river ! The bed was the most comfortable thing I’ve ever slept on & the game drive experience was a memory I will never forget !

Super vriendelijk personeel! Ook het ontbijt dat werd besteld en de safari die werd aangeboden waren geweldig!! De locatie is afgelegen in het midden van de natuur gelegen. Dit geeft een super mooi zicht rondom de accomodatie en zorgt voor heel veel rust!

The location is beautiful, right beside the river, peaceful and quiet. The room was exceptionally clean and had everything needed for a self- catering unit. Sophia, our host, was lovely and reachable at all times. We had a lovely stay and couldn't recommend it more.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Sophia was a fantastic host—warm, friendly, and welcoming. It was a pleasure meeting her, and she made us feel right at home. We especially loved the tranquility of the property and would happily return again.

We spent two nights in the tent and what an incredible stay. We had our own barbecue facilities, king bed, and the best view. Wish we could have stayed longer. Can't wait to go back!

We had 2 standard rooms and a "holiday home" which had 2 rooms and a large kitchen, dining, longe area, and outside deck with braai. The rooms were very comfortable, and the setting on the river is lovely. Sophia is a great host. Highly recommended.

Excellent séjour au Ndlovu Addo River Lodge. C’est un très bon logement pour visiter le parc d’Addo, idéalement situé. Les lieux sont très propres, agréables et parfaitement entretenus. L’accueil de l’hôte a été au top : chaleureux, disponible et attentionné. Le safari d’une journée organisé par le lodge était exceptionnel, très bien encadré et parfaitement organisé. La nourriture était également excellente, avec un barbecue particulièrement apprécié. Je recommande vivement ce logement ainsi que le safari proposé, une très belle expérience.

A lovely, peaceful location! Breakfast was nice, and we really enjoyed preparing our own braai in the evening (ordered it the day before). The room was clean, and communication with the accommodation before and during our stay was smooth. It’s about a 40-minute drive to Addo Elephant Park - quite easy and convenient.

It had rained heavily, so the last stretch of the unpaved road was very wet and full of potholes. We didn’t have a 4WD, but we did have an SUV. Luckily, we managed fine, but with a low car it would have been much more difficult and challenging. The only possible improvement would be to offer some fruit at breakfast (which you could order in advance). Other than that, there is nothing to complain about regarding the stay!

Si vous cherchez un endroit au calme, dans un environnement naturel exceptionnel, à proximité du parc Addo et de la réserve Schotia, avec des logements superbes, décorés avec goûts dans un luxe simple, à des prix qui n'ont rien à voir avec le luxe, ne cherchez plus. C'est ce que Luc et Sophia ont réussi à faire. Le safari tour avec François était également exceptionnel : nous avons vu des éléphants par dizaines, rhinocéros, buffles, girafes, et des lions chasser. C'est un self-catering mais il est possible de commander des plats surgelés qui sont faits maison et sont délicieux ou de la viande (très bonne aussi) pour faire son barbecue au coucher du soleil près de la rivière. Juste magique

Notre seul regret : ne pas être resté plus longtemps

We loved the peaceful atmosphere, open space, and the feeling of home it gives you. The hot tub was amazing and so relaxing. Would definitely recommend going there to anyone.

Loved the privacy, yet all the windows and light facing out to the river. Loved the log fire hot tub, never seen one of those before!

Die Lodge liegt direkt am Fluss und bietet eine wunderschöne, entspannte Atmosphäre. Besonders die große Terrasse mit Blick ins Grüne war ein Highlight. Das Zimmer war sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, vor allem das Badezimmer war außergewöhnlich schön. Ein echtes Erlebnis waren auch die Affen, die frei herumgesprungen sind – das macht den Aufenthalt ganz besonders. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch das Game-Drive-Safari war phänomenal und ein absolutes Highlight unseres Aufenthalts. Frühstück und Beef Lasagne können wir ebenso nur empfehlen.

Durch die Lage auf der Farm gab es vereinzelt Fruchtfliegen, was aber in so einer natürlichen Umgebung verständlich ist. Das Team hat sich sofort darum gekümmert und sogar mehrfach gereinigt, was wir sehr geschätzt haben. Die Außenmöbel könnten gelegentlich etwas häufiger gereinigt werden, da sich dort naturbedingt Insekten ansammeln.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ndlovu River Lodge. Loved being able to go out on the river in the canoe and even though the cottage has a shared wall/garden, it still felt so private and secluded. The garden is beautiful and it really is a little slice of paradise.

Alles entspricht den Angaben auf der Webseite. Kurz vor Ankunft erhalten Sie eine Willkommensnachricht mit zahlreichen Informarionen. Das Cottage ( Nr. 2 ) ist geräumig u. verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten für ein gemütliches zu Hause auf Zeit. Von der Terrasse blickt man auf die unberührte Natur, den gepflegten Garten und genießt die Ruhe. WLAN ist verfügbar und funktioniert problemlos. So gesehen eine echte Wohlfühloase.

Leider ist die Anfahrt von der R 336 zur Lodge nicht asphaltiert und etwas holprig, was bei trockenem Wetter kein Problem ist. Unserer Ankunft waren starke Regenfälle vorausgegangen, so dass die Straße an mehreren Furten ziemlich aufgeweicht war und das Wasser sich dort ca. 20 - 25 Zentimeter tief darin sammelte. Mit unserem kleinen SUV haben wir uns im Schlamm festgefahren und hätten uns ohne fremde Hilfe aus dieser misslichen Situation nicht befreien können. Wir haben 1 Std. festgegessen ! Die bereits erwähnte Willkommensnachricht sollte um einen Hinweis auf die Schwierigkeiten der Zuwegung bei bzw. nach starkem Regen ergänzt werden. Unter diesen Bedingungen ist ein PKW mit größerer Bodenfreiheit oder Allradantrieb die sichere Option.

Everything was amazing just the location was bit remote but well worth it.

This is a wonderful house – beautifully designed and spacious, with a private pool. It’s very secluded, surrounded by stunning nature. The road is a bit bumpy, but it’s perfect for those who love being in the heart of nature. Keep in mind there are plenty of ants and insects. The house itself is very clean, but that’s part of being in nature… A truly wonderful and unique experience!

The location is beautiful, about 30 minutes away from the Addo Park and it was very serene and calm. Communication with Sophia was super easy and very clear. And the aparment had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Such a tranquil location overlooking the river and the cottages are perfect, very well equipped and extremely clean. Sophia is an excellent host, she provided detailed information in advance of our trip and was on hand to answer any questions. We especially enjoyed the day on safari with Ndlovo’s own guide, super convenient and we saw so much wildlife. Highly recommend.

Eine wunderbar ruhige Lage am Fluss. Das Chalet war sehr schön und bequem möbliert. Es gab alles, was ich brauchte. Sophia ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin. Der Frühstückskorb war mit leckeren Dingen gefüllt.

Vor der Abreise hatte sich die Straße durch den Regen in tiefen Schlamm verwandelt, es war nicht einfach, da durch zu kommen und nicht stecken zu bleiben.

Het was een prachtige tent. Toen we aankwamen was het heel warm, maar de airco werkte heel goed. Het is een prachtige omgeving met mooi uitzicht over de rivier.

Het ligt echt wel in het wild. Ze bieden frozen meals aan maar als je een hapje wil eten dan moet je wel een half uur rijden. Gelukkig was dit goed geregeld door de host doordat wij taxi Tanya kregen.

Ndlovu Addo River est situé dans un emplacement exceptionnel. Sophia est une hôte formidable et de très bon conseil. L'arrivée avec ses 5 kms de terre battue qui peut paraître difficile au début n'est rien à côté des kms parcourus dans le national park Addo (éléphants) très accessible avec la voiture de location. Au lodge tout est parfait et agréable.

Wir hatten einen einzigartigen Aufenthalt. Sophia hatte uns super beraten zu Unternehmungen. Aber die Unterkunft alleine ist eine Reise wert! Wunderschöne Lage in Citrusplantagen. Direkten Flusszugang, Kajaks. Wunderschön!!

Very nice place with nice views.If you need a day or two of relaxation.It is the place to be!

Road to the location

Lovely location on the Sunday River, well equipped cottage. being our first visit to Addo it is not a bad location if you don't want to stay in the park.

Pool could have done with a couple of umbrella's. A little remote, don't forget your supplies.

The pool area and river were a great place to socialize and be surrounded by nature. The beds are super comfortable with the aircon to fight the hot nights. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the city life but still close enough for just a weekend away.

Did self-catering although meals were available. The peace, tranquility, scenery, tasteful decor and overall ambiance was food for the soul.

Ndovu Addo River lodge verdient eigenlijk een 11/10! Top vakantiehuis ver weg van alles, aan de Sunday river. Ideaal om te genieten van de rust en de natuur. Het vakantiehuis was gezellig, huiselijk en modern. De gastheren super vriendelijk, behulpzaam en attent. De game drive met François was fantastisch! We keren er zeker terug!

Spacious in and outside, relaxed feeling, riverside cottage.

The property was very clean & spacious & all the cottages are completely private. It was very well equipped with whatever you need. The owners, Sophia & Luc are very friendly & were eager to address any need. We enjoyed listening to the birds, especially the call of the resident fish eagle. If ever we are in the area again, we will not hesitate to book our stay at this place. We also enjoyed a paddle in the canoe.

Road to the property is gravel & it may pose a problem in heavy rain. However, we were made aware of this when we booked.

Cottage 6 is helemaal geweldig met de 2 baden buiten. Een van de meest geweldige plekken waar we ooit hebben geslapen. Een enorme tuin en braai tot je beschikking, zelfs kano en aapjes die rondlopen in je tuin. Kortom fantastisch

El alojamiento perfecto , tiene todo lo nesesario para disfrutar . Buen jardín , buenas vistas . Todo muy bien .

Schönes Chalet mit Blick auf den Fluss. Gutes Bett. Bequeme Sitzmöglichkeiten auf der Terrasse. Prima Feuerstelle, perfekt für einen Grillabend. Schöner Garten. Günstig zum Addo gelegen. An windstillen Abenden ist Mückenschutz empfehlenswert. Die Anfahrt über die Brücke (im Wasser) war im ersten Moment komisch, aber alles gut machbar. Wir würden wieder buchen.
