The tranquility and the view!

Twin beds for a couple is not practical or comfortable. Otherwise, great place! The location itself is amazing, although far from main towns. Not walkable to anywhere..

Geen uitzicht op douro, maar dat wisten we. We hebben maar 2 nachten geboekt

very privately away from other busy areas. The english speaking lady was so nice and friendly.

The sauna was not open till late or start from the morning… so couldn’t experience it.

Location: Absolutely breathtaking! The guest house is perched high on a hill with a fantastic panoramic view of the Douro Valley vineyards. It’s a local winery where you can take romantic walks directly among the vines. Access is best by car (free parking is available). While there’s no on-site restaurant, several towns with dining options are just a 5-10 minute drive away. Room: We stayed in the suite with private garden. Though the room felt slightly smaller than in the photos, it was modern and cozy. The main building has a beautiful, authentic lobby and a big, nice swimming pool. Food: The breakfast is a highlight! It’s much more than a standard continental breakfast: everything is fresh and local, including delicious fruits, olive oil, and honey produced right on the farm. Service: The staff is incredibly flexible, professional, informative and kind. Truly a great stay!

The beds are "really stiff" which feels too firm if you prefer a plush mattress.

Ubytování na vinici se nám moc líbilo. Pokoje byly dostatečně velké a čisté, včetně minibaru. Venkovní bazén jsme bohužel nevyužili, protože bylo deštivo. Místo toho jsme si na jedno odpoledne zarezervovali privátní vířivku se saunou a velmi to zpříjemnilo náš pobyt. Snídaně byly vynikající.

Bohužel jsme neměli štěstí ma sousedy, kteří byli hluční a stěny mezi pokojema zvuky vůbec neizolovaly.

Onze kamer had een gekke geur, hier moeten ze echt iets aan doen.

Localização ótima, sítio calmo e perfeito para descansar. Zona da piscina boa e um ótimo pequeno almoço. Atendimento muito simpático desde a chegada até saída.

Het prachtige uitzicht, geweldige zwembad. Het appartement was mooi, ruim en schoon. Het personeel is onwijs aardig en gastvrij en geeft je het ultieme vakantiegevoel.

Výborná poloha na klidném místě s fantastickým výhledem na vinohrady a krásným bazénem. Vše velmi čisté, snídaně velmi dobré. Pokoj útulný a postele jsou velké a pohodlné. Měli jsme prostornou koupelnu i s bidetem, vč. voňavých toaletních potřeb. Personál je zde velmi milý a nápomocný.

Pokoje jsou menší, ale pro nás to není nic zásadního. Uvítali bychom v koupelně nějaký sušák na prádlo, mokré plavky apod. Museli jsme trochu improvizovat:-)

A Quinta da Portela surpreende pela positiva! É um ótimo local para relaxar. Destaco as excelentes condições, a zona da piscina com uma excelente vista, o pequeno-almoço muito variado e delicioso e o atendimento muito prestável do staff da quinta. Aproveitamos para usufruir também do jacuzzi e da sauna, bem como alguns snaks que a quinta dispõe para almoço/jantar. Adoramos e recomendamos para quem deseja “desligar-se”.

Ottima struttura immersa tra i vigneti, stanza confortevole e spaziosa, ottima colazione e gentilezza dello staff, bella piscina.

Tout était parfait, je mettrais 11/10 si possible ! La chambre était spacieuse, propre, agréable et bien décorée Les espaces extérieurs exceptionnels - jardins + piscine avec une vue incroyable, parking sur place Le petit déjeuner était délicieux et le personnel aux petits soins Je regrette uniquement de ne pas être restée plus longtemps !

Het ontbijt was lekker, vers en voldoende gevarieerd. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Ondanks dat er geen 24 uurs receptie is, is het volledige domein altijd toegankelijk. Minibar op de kamer. Kleine lekkere attentie op de kamer na het schoonmaken. Steeds koffie en water beschikbaar. Wij hadden de 2 apart gelegen cabanes. Deze hadden een rolluik wat bijzonder goed verduisterde.

De koffie aan het ontbijt was erg sterk. Te weinig parasols aan het zwembad.

Prachtig landgoed middenin de wijngaarden van de Douro vallei. Heerlijk zwembad om te relaxen en te genieten van het uitzicht. Fijn personeel. Aanrader om de wijnproeverij te doen! Wij hadden een kamer in het huis, goed schoon met grote badkamer. Wel twee aparte bedden tegen elkaar aan. Goed uitgebreid ontbijt.

Funcionários muito simpáticos e atenciosos. Pequeno almoço excelente, variado e com produtos regionais. Sempre café e chá disponível a qualquer hora. Spa muito bom, novo. As vistas são fantásticas e uma paz avassaladora. Adorei!

One of the most picturesque places I have ever been to. Stunning views, beautiful swimming pool, very clean rooms and relaxing atmosphere.

Es un lugar precioso, en general me ha parecido un hotel estupendo.

El acceso al hotel es bastante peligroso viniendo en coche debido a que el portón de acceso siempre está cerrado y no hay donde aparcar para solicitar que nos abran ya que la carretera es bastante angosta. Una vez hecho el check in junto a las llaves del hotel dan un mando para abrir el portón Nosotros pudimos ingresar porque casualmente una persona del staff del hotel pasaba junto al hotel y nos abrió el portón.

Lovely house. Great winery. Fabulous wine tasting. I was greeted with full welcome. Room is very large with 2 showers. Wine and food were all good. Scenery is breathtaking.

The staff is very friendly and the view is breathtaking! The pool is clean, and there’s plenty of space to relax beside it. You can reserve a wellness area with a sauna and hot tub. Breakfast is good. The rooms are spacious. We enjoyed the wine tasting with charcuterie. The wines are from their own vineyards, they were very good, and the staff explained everything to us very clearly.

We had a room with twin beds, we would have preferred a room with a double bed, but it wasn't available at the time of booking, and that was clearly stated in the description, so it was not a surprise. The beds were comfortable, though.

Our arrival was difficult. We couldn't find the entrance and nobody answered the phone for several tries. We even entered a steeped vineyard road, getting us to a dead end. But once they answered and opened the gate, a beautiful quiet and relaxing place appeared. Our room was on a separate cabin, with an amazing view. The "twin" beds were very comfy. The whole facility felt pretty new or recently renovated. We would have preferred a real king bed. Breakfast was served in a room with this amazing view of vineyards and Quintas, just in the hill across. They prepared eggs for us. They served a huge amount of gluten free bread, pastries, cereal for just one of us. The buffet was wells served. The only complication was getting in and out. We received a remote control to open the gate. We wanted to try the advertised Porto wine in the reception, but there were no glasses. I highly recommend this place, for more than one night (we just stayed one).

Everything was great for this amazing setting in the middle of the Douro Valley hills and vineyards. Of course there are always small things that can be improved. The limited check-in time can be a real issue. We had to workaround it in order to arrive before 7pm

Die schönste Unterkunft unserer Reise! Ein herrlicher Pool, alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Personal war äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Dank der sehr ruhigen Lage konnten wir wunderbar entspannen. Was will man mehr?

Venlig personale

It is a modern building with very big , nice and very comfortable rooms with front view to the vineyards hills and a little village. The large sitting area is bright and feels welcoming, the swimming pool is huge and has the same view as the rooms. The reception staff (Ruth) is lovely and makes you feel very welcome. Breakfast is great and a short drive to Armamar will take you to nice little places to have dinner. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Nothing to dislike

An unforgettable, authentic experience! Quinta da Portela offers incredible standout value with dream-like views. Silvia was an amazing host, providing excellent communication and hosting a fantastic tasting. The breakfasts were fresh and filling, and the local honey and olive oil were just as tasty as the wines. The grounds are stunning, private, and the pool views and lounge chairs are perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. There was so much warmth in their hospitality; this is the kind of stay and view I will be chasing and comparing all future vacations to. Supporting a small quinta felt so much more authentic than a large establishment! Able to schedule taxi or provide a ride but uber/bolt not available at this location. There are a few restaurants within 10minutes.

Wunderschöne Quinta, sehr geschmackvoll, sehr sauber, sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Inhaber und Personal. Tolle ruhige Lage mit Pool und wunderbarer Aussicht. Wir hatten eine separate Suite mit Bergblick. Sehr leckeres und umfangreiches Frühstück mit selbstgemachten Speisen, Obst, Eiern etc. Kostenloser Kaffee, Tee und Wasser ganztägig. Die Weinverkostung mit Essensplatte ist unbedingt zu empfehlen. Snacks gegen Vorbestellen möglich. Gute Ausgangslage für Unternehmungen im Dourotal. Sicherer Parkplatz innen. Unbedingt zu empfehlen, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

The location of the Quinta is like a dream. Everywhere you look is beautiful. Love the size of it, makes it feel peaceful and relaxing.

The entrance instructions weren’t as clear as they could be. We drove past it and the signage is not clear enough to notice it especially since the gps recognizes the location in the other side of the property. Mentioning that there is a gate and you have to ring the doorbell would be so helpful.

Bom pequeno almoço, vista muito boa com piscina à disposição. Perto da Régua e Pinhão, muito boa localização para conhecer o Douro vinhateiro.

A atención e máis o almorzo, que era espectacular.

Estadia muito boa a funcionaria que nos atendeu foi extremamente simpatica e deu uma "aula" sobre a fabricação dos vinhos. Gostamos muito da estadia e recomendamos.

Acho o chuveiro poderia ter agua quente por mais tempo pois eramos em 3 e alguns dias tivemos que esperar muito para o proximo banho.

Colaboradores simpáticos e acessíveis. Espaço muito tranquilo e reservado. Voltaremos certamente!
