Cleanliness.. facilities …safety….comfort and location.

Disappointingly we found the hostess to be rude on our introduction. She had “ requested” that we pop by , which we did !! However we were greeted by her housekeeper who then closed out the door on our faces while she went to call Mam! “ “Mam”then arrived and very obviously viewed us both from head to toe!!! Which we found discerning and rude . This was a pity and made us feel uncomfortable! It was more like a brief interview on her doorstep!! Sorry… your accommodation is superb but hostess greeting uncomfortable!

The location was as expected and suited us well. It was very comfortable and clean.

We were disappointed in that there were no roibos tea bags, An empty tin of Rose Bush tea, not that we needed them, but feel it is a bit shoddy to have an empty tin and half empty packet of biscuits etc. It seemed that no one checked the kitchen cupboards. I know we are old and out of date, but it would have been helpful to have instructions for working the TV and also the micro/convection oven. There was absolutely no information about the very good equipment provided. . Being locals we didn't need it, but some information about Cape Town and sightseeing might be helpful for overseas visitors.

Everything was perfect , the accommodation was spotless , beautifully decorated.Bed was so comfy I love the decor , modern and attention to detail. There was also some sweet treats and cold beverages .

Die Wohnung ist modern, perfekt eingerichtet. Ein schöner Garten, ruhige und sichere Umgebung. Marina war hilfreich bei der Auswahl von Restaurants für das Abendessen.

The cottage, is comfortable and has state of the art finishes. the hosts have paid attention to the little things, and the cottage is warm and welcoming. It is separate to the main house and completely safe. Nice & central location. Beautiful little garden.

A little pool or splash pool would have been fantastic as it is heating up in the Cape :)

We really enjoyed and loved our stay! The place was super clean and beautifully decorated. The location was so peaceful and quiet, with such a lovely view. It felt really comfortable and relaxing which is what was needed!

Olive Cottage in Constantia was a truly exceptional stay. Immaculately clean and beautifully appointed, the space offered a perfect blend of comfort and charm. The bed was cozy, specially the added electric blankets, and the living area was warm and inviting, especially with the indoor fireplace, which made the cooler evenings feel wonderfully snug. Its location is ideal, just a short distance from Constantia Village, where boutique shops and cafés add to the local appeal. What truly set the experience apart was Marina, our gracious and attentive hostess. She went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, offering helpful recommendations. Her warmth and professionalism made us feel genuinely welcome. Olive Cottage is more than just a place to stay, it’s a peaceful retreat with thoughtful touches and heartfelt hospitality. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return to this Constantia gem. Highly recommended

Everything was great and we liked it all.

We were met by an ever smiling and helpful Marc. Everything we needed to know was swiftly explained. The apartment provided every need we required, and if anything was missing it was sorted out in minutes. As we stayed in winter the fireplace was a pure godsend and warmed the interior quickly. The bed was Extra King and super comfortabe. There were little snacks provided for those late night munchies. There were so many varities of coffee and tea and we loved the morning ritual of bodum coffee. The location is also incredibly central yet beautifully quiet and relaxing. Whether you're looking to enjoy a wine farm lunch in Constatinta, golf at Westlake or Steenberg, or dinner in Kalk Bay, nothing was too far away. And having Constatntia Village just up the road meant we could buy a few things to cook ourselves in the well equipped kitchen.

Very, very... may I repeat very minor issue is that the parking is on street. Having said that the road has extra width and it is not a major thoroughfare so it was just the small inconvenience in rainy weather. In addition, there is a security guard at the top of the road so we never once worried about the car being outside.

Attention to detail was superb. Marina is a thoughtful and kind hostess. The accommodation was incredibly comfortable… the fireplace and electric blankets were perfect for the chilly day and night.

This was a cosy, beautifully styled cottage in a super convenient location - easy to get to shops, main routes and places of interest, as well as being near to several stunning wine farms. The attention to detail in the cottage (a variety of drinks and treats on arrival, electric blankets, hot water bottles, games and interesting art pieces) made us feel like important guests. Absolutely loved our stay here.

The property was clean, beautifully designed, and the people who assisted us made us feel so comfortable. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Stunning location. Very peaceful and tranquil. The lavender bushes surrounding the cottage was a favourite. Martina is such a lovely hostess. Her complimentary morning rusks were such a treat. The cottage is prepped for a great self catering stay. Check in and check out was effortless and Martina is just a message away throughout the stay. We absolutely, had a wonderful time and would be back again.

Beautifully decorated and centrally located. We loved our stay at The Olive Cottage! The place was packed with every amenity one could need and is located in a quiet street close to the highway and all Cape Town has to offer.

As a former Capetonian Constantia is where I choose to stay. It's a fantastic location, close to wine farms such as Buitenverwachting and Groot Constantia where the restaurants are perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is also a perfect spot to base yourself for all there is to see in the city and around the peninsula. The Olive Cottage is perfect for couples and offers better accommodation than even the best hotels. It has all you need and no corners have been cut. It's also more competitively priced than city hotels that offer levels of accommodation of an equivalent standard.

A lovely cottage in a quiet neighborhood. It's a 5-star facility within easy reach of the highway. The furnishing is high quality and the hosts attention to detail is very apparent. Well worth a visit.

Having lived in Jo'burg for most of my life, parking on the street is a little 'foreign' but Constantia is on a different planet.

Olive Cottage is one of the most impressive properties we have EVER stayed in. The living area, bedroom and bathroom all featured beautifully designed furniture and quality appliances. The outside patio was wonderful to sit out in and Constantia Village is a short walk away. Marina was a very helpful host and our stay though short was very relaxing.

The property is beautiful. Perfect for a weekend getaway. We appreciated the decor and attention to detail. The snacks on arrival were great :-) We will definitely stay there again.

The Wi-Fi password was sent via email but my laptop battery had died. The password could be included on a small, printed card and left in the room.

The Olive Cottage is absolutely beautiful. The furnishings are top class, with everything I needed and more! There were so many little extras included which made my stay really comfortable and luxurious. Marina and Marc have thought of everything. They are also very helpful and kind and went out of their way to make my stay perfect. The Olive Cottage is within walking distance to Constantia Village where there are an abundance of shops and restaurants. The cottage is quiet and safe too. Tranquil perfect position a minute's walk from Constantia’s woody greenbelts and bridle paths. Location ideal - so convenient to shops, award-winning wine farms, coffee shops and fine eateries. Well-appointed open-plan kitchen features top brand appliances and flows to a private and exquisite courtyard garden. Very comfortable and beautiful bedroom and bathroom. The host Marina is a pleasure to deal with, and made our Christmas stay a most memorable one. Everything exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to return.

Our check-in was super smooth and all communication with Marina was easy and warm. She is a wonderful host. We had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy them inside or outside. The bed was also especially comfortable! Marina went above and beyond, providing us with extras treats like rusks and a few fresh drink items in the fridge. And the garden! What a little oasis. We could have easily stayed more and hope to return soon!

We felt super grateful to stay at this gorgeous cottage. It dips you in a feeling of luxury and you have everything at your fingertips. The location is perfect, in a nice, quiet, classy suburb, yet close enough to the center of town and all its joys. We enjoyed the communication between the host, the whole feel of the cottage, the fact that it was very private yet if needed the host was right there, lighting the fireplace… just to name a few things. This is truly a hidden gem.

This accommodation exceeded all expectations........ upon entering the lovely courtyard you are hit by the exquisite smell of the jasmine bushes, a warm welcome from the owner the stepping into the cottage to find most stunning interiors - the attention to detail is next level - this stylish beautifully appointed cottage is highly recommended!!

The Olive Garden Cottage is a beautiful place to stay in Constantia. It’s beautifully and luxuriously furnished, with a perfect location close to Cape Town but not right in the city center. It feels like an oasis, offering a peaceful escape where you can truly relax.

Loved the attention to detail. Everything needed has been thought of making the cottage extremely functional and comfortable to stay in. Simply superb and highly recommended!
