Room was perfect for us with a Dog, stayed in the Station house part, dinner and breakfast was very good
Nothing
I liked the fact that we were in a separate block from the pub. The room was clean and comfy. The chefs biscuits were amazing and there was a bottle of water for us both.
Nothing
Beautiful setting and gardens. Bathroom was lovely great shower. Rooms were ok
Massively over priced, weird head board in room, uncomfortable mattress, not worth £250. Food was not good at breakfast, hard poached eggs, tasteless coffee raw bacon
Lovely location, with nice surroundings , nice cookies in room
Fusty smell to bed sheets and pillow cases , room was hot , had a fan but wasn’t much use no power Breakfast service was a let down as they forgot our order and waited over an hour, although breakfast itself was good quality , had issue with the shower suddenly stopping then restarting about 2 minutes later room 26
Great location, with very comfortable room.
The water pressure in the bathroom was very low, not sure if anything can be done about that? We didn't eat at the hotel but wanted a night cap when we returned at 10.15pm. The bar area was closing down and when we asked for a drink we were told that the tills had been switched off as it was bank holiday? Disappointing to not have been told about early closing when we arrived.
Staff really lovely food amazing with little homemade extras. Beautifull garden.
Husband struggled with traffic noise but saw option to have noise reduced rooms
location room
Lovely location and staff helpful and friendly.
Being woken at around 6am by one of the bin lorries. Then being woken by another one just as I got off to sleep.
We stayed here the night before our wedding and had our pre wedding meal here. It was great and the staff were really helpful! Great cookies in the room too!

Fabulous couple of days, we were so well looked after, thank you.
Wonderful Location, friendly and helpful service, comfortable bed and overall great quality/value
Rooms were as expected but could do with air conditioning as the tower fan struggled to cool the room efficiently and had to be left on all day to make any difference. The hotel in general was very pleasant and quirky. Would definitely book a future stay at this hotel and recommend it to others. Service at the bar and at breakfast was adequate but not overly attentive. All in all though, a very pleasant two night stay.
More attentive service at the bar and in the restaurant.
Perfect
The bed was amazing - fabulous mattress and pillow and duvet , so comfortable. Amazing venue with seating around the mill pond in the evening. Staff were really helpful.
Lovely setting
Staff - when approached as they provided a warm bottle of prosecco, no response, bottle replaced, but not apologie just pulled a face. I was so polite about the issue, but staff at the bar did not deal with it correctly
Good location close to centre of Nailsworth which is a lovely little town with nice high street. Restaurant and bar had pretty outdoor space next to mill pond. Breakfast was good.
Next to main road so could be some noise if windows left open but had secondary glazing so couldn't hear if window was shut
The whole experience there was amazing, beautiful location, great food and staff were so nice. I would definitely love to come back and would recommend. There was also no supplement for bringing the dog which other hotels do charge.
Having to leave!
Breakfast was well presented and tasty. Room was clean but the bushes were over grown so couldn’t see a lot from the room. Staff were friendly & atentive.
Charming riverside location, tastefully renovated old mill with top quality fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable beds and tasteful furnishings. Interior had the charm of an old building with original flagstones/ windows etc and the various outdoor seating areas were very chic with a large lake at the centre of one! The staff were exceptionally friendly giving us a warm welcome so that you really did feel relaxed and "at home" straight away. Easy free parking via a tablet booking system in reception. Tasty breakfast. Fabulous place to stay! 👍
Our meal in the restaurant was spoiled because I think we were overlooked.. Delicious scallops starter but then a very long wait for mains which finally arrived scorching hot .... microwaved I think 🤔 The actual food was tasty with good quality ingredients nevertheless.
Beautiful old building, which was full of character. Comfortable room. Good food. Staff friendly and efficient.
Beautiful setting

Pleasant staff nice bedroom
Superior room said it had a river view which is not strictly true as a line of trees hide it! Side window view was piles of rubbish stacked up which was not needed or expected.
Helpful and friendly Staff. Beautiful hotel with everything we needed. Walking distance to most places we wanted to visit
Mooie locatie, dicht bij alle faciliteiten en toch rustig.
Location and style
Bit warm in the eaves
Location was excellent. Rooms was comfortable with a fan for the hot weather. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Nothing really.
Very pleasant overnight stay

Beautiful hotel in the beautiful town of Nailsworth. Rooms were lovely
The room was of a high standard, it was too hot due to warm weather but a fan was provided.
There was no atmosphere, the place lacks ambience despite its potential. The staff team seem disjointed lacking basic customer care skills of being welcoming, friendly, conversational in their approach...this is not something that weve experienced before where staff seemed indifferent. An example of this was tripping on the wonky stair they have, not one member of staff enquired if I was okay only another customer showed concern
This was a lovely hotel to stay in , communication was excellent , as was the service and staff . We had a meal during our stay which was delicious and the facilities at the venue great . As the weather was warm fans had been put in the rooms to assist too . Would recommend and would return
We didn’t realise but we didn’t have a breakfast paid for within our price . Maybe something we missed but to be aware of
Very comfortable bed. Interesting architecture. Dog friendly.
We checked in online before arriving, but it still took a long time to pick up our room key on arrival. Whilst the room was generally nice, the toilet didn’t flush very well. We had dinner in their restaurant but didn’t get our main course until 1 hour 20 minutes after arriving. One of the dishes we ordered was luke warm and over seasoned. Our disappointment was tempered by the fact we were given a discount. We decided to go elsewhere for breakfast.
Beautiful location
Rooms had no A/C and windows couldn’t open. Not suitable for a warm summer.

Wonderful location in a historic building
We had a riom under the eaves with a very small window and given the current heatwave had a very uncomfortable night’s sleep.
Breakfast very good 。healthy and fresh server excellent
Every single staff member that we spoke with was extremely kind, welcoming, and really keen to help us out with whatever query we had! We got checked in very quickly, and we're super happy with our room! The room was clean and tidy. We had a fan provided and a few extra cute little things that made us feel even more welcome. More importantly, the bathroom was also very clean. Dinner-wise, the menu was quite large with a lot of choices. Portion sizes were great, taste was excellent, and staff members were very kind and welcoming once again! For the breakfast, the pick and choose table was quite limited, however, one was speaking to the waiters, we were allowed to get the basic breakfast items like egg or toast.
There was not much to dislike about this place, however, a few little things worth noting: - The tiny milk bottle left in our room for coffee had gone a little sour due to the hot day. - The room didn't have a tiny fridge, which we expected it to have, but that was no big problem as we just asked the staff members to put our food in the big fridge, which they did. - The service at the restaurant took slightly longer than usual, but that was also offset by their kindness and great food.
Amazing little hideaway. Rooms were fab and the staff were great. The whole place has a really chilled vibe…. The service , food , live singer were exceptional. The “gold dust “‘is the beer garden and dining area. Truly worth this visit alone
Brilliant stay - was an emergency booking when our plans were forced to change. Excellent facilities and very professional staff and lovely food. Thank you!
All was great.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff were helpful. The rooms could have a bit of refurbishment.
Rooms were ok
Excellent breakfasts and great choice of evening meal menu. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location and lovely setting by the mill pond.
Couldn't fault anything!
Stunning setting, building and outdoor seating areas were exceptional
U.K. hotels really have to adapt to climate. Hardly slept due to the stifling conditions in the room. There was a fan provided but it was totally inadequate. Hotels need air con for rooms. I didn’t spend £170 to suffer a horrible night in the room. Yes it’s very warm weather - but not acceptable to expect customers to accept being boiled alive!
Lovely room, beautiful setting, beautiful building, lovely staff, good food, very good value for money.
Very limited options for food if you are gluten free and QR code didn't seem to be accurate. The rooms were very hot.
Lovely room in the separate block, far away from any noise. Really clean and comfortable. Free water in the room and a fan for the hot weather. Towels changed on both days we stayed. Lovely outdoor drinks / dining area. Had dinner in the restaurant on the first evening and the quality of food was excellent. Service started off a bit slow but it improved. Very efficient bar staff.
I have no complaints.
Everything
AC mobile unit did not work
Pretty room, nicely fitted out, and lovely location.
The property is beautiful and the outside space is lovely. Walking distance to Nailsworth. Room comfy and nicely designed.
The lack of air conditioning and inability to open a window any more than a few inches - there was a fan in the room which helped a little. The hand held shower head broke off when we turned it on. The lack of breakfast included in what is a high priced hotel. It’s an overpriced hotel for the facilities on offer.

All good
We booked one of the loft rooms with the exposed wooden beams, which looked full of character. Unfortunately, we arrived on a very hot summer's day and the room was like a sauna, with small windows that barely opened. Thankfully, Holly and Ben were incredibly helpful and kindly moved us to a much larger, cooler cellar room in the hotel's outer building at no extra charge, which made our stay much more comfortable. Hand made cookies in the rooms are a delicious! I believe these are the Classic Rooms, which cost a little more but are well worth it in my opinion, more spacious, more modern and much more comfortable. The loft rooms would probably be great for most of the year, but during summer they really need air conditioning, and the décor, carpets and bathrooms could do with a refresh. Dinner in the beer garden was excellent, with great fish and chips and a good selection of beers, while breakfast was top notch. Friendly staff throughout, a lovely place to stay, and Nailsworth is a great town to wander around and explore.
Bed was comfortable and plenty of storage space for our belongings. Liked the fresh cookies left in our room when we returned late from concert at Westonbirt to have with tea. Liked the Bramley products in the bathroom.
Realise the weather was still warm at the end of the heatwave, but aircon unit was fairly ineffective, so room very warm overnight.
The Location was lovely
The heated towel rail in the bathroom would not turn off and it was a very hot weekend, also the bathroom was very small sitting on the toilet your face was directly opposite the wall, but I am 6 foot five tall
Friendly staff, great location, beautiful room
Nothing
Excellent staff. Comfortable room
A bit pricey
It’s a quirky property with character & pretty gardens. Staff were busy but still quite attentive & pleasant.
Room was well presented, functional and comfortable but overpriced (although our stay was on a Saturday).
Drop-dead gorgeous place. The room was really spacious and it made staying with our Labrador much more convenient. Great bed, fantastic room and facilities, really friendly and helpful staff (thank you). Location is really brilliant - walk along the stream path to Stroud or up over the commons. Stunning little town. Stay here.
Honestly, I can’t think of anything!
Our room in this historic mill was beautifully decorated. Freshly baked cookies awaited us. The gardens and waterway running through the Hotel are inviting and there is plenty of outdoor seating where you can enjoy a meal or an afternoon drink, and entertainment. The breakfast was fantastic and the dinner was also very good. No complaints at all.
Drink prices were high
Food and staff were excellent
Food was great.
Expensive rooms small and far from the main site dinner waited over an hour for 2 salads
This was the perfect location, the room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. The outside space with the pond and waterfall was perfect.
Staff in all areas were all very friendly happy and helpful.
All staff in all areas were friendly, happy and helpful. Food was delicious - both breakfast and lunch. A big choice available in both menus.
So relaxing and quiet, amazing building and decor. Really comfortable bed. Huge bath. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again
Dog-friendly accommodation close to Woodchester Valley Vineyard, which was the main reason for our visit.
Staff friendly, breakfast was great, good location for travel and visiting other parts of the area. Very clean.
Pillows flat and not supportive - I would have brought my own if I had realised. Smart TV, but couldn't use it as not connected to the internet. Front door to the accommodation building was constantly being left open - for someone with a room on the ground floor, this meant lots of additional noise and cold air coming in. Please consider adding an automatic close to the front door.
Stunning surroundings. Beautiful buildings. The free standing bath in the king bedroom was gorgeous.
Late checkout is £50 per hour???
The location and ambience of the place.
The low beams in the bedroom ( room 11). My husband of 6foot constantly banged his head going to the bathroom in the night.

Lovely room, very good breakfast and dinner, unable to fault our stay.
All good
Lovely large room and bathroom. Staff were great, food was good. Bar and restaurant so well fitted out and attractive. Would strongly recommend. Fantastic location and in lovely village.
The bathroom door (room 29) was really difficult to open and close as so tight against the wood floor. Was also damaging the floor, needs taking off and fraction shaving off bottom.
The building and surrounding water stream was spectacular.
Nothing really
Great location and friendly staff
Liked all
.
Did not get to access the room. The details given to me by the staff to access the lock box were wrong. Noone answered the emergency phone number I was provided and refund has not been issued, even though I was told over the phone when I complained the next day thay this would be done. No answer to any of the emails I sent wither. Appalling service, would never recommend
Position
Great location. The welcome Cookie/Biscuit.
Shower over bath. Lack of fridge.
Lovely hidden gem! Super clean, beautiful premises, easy to get to if using public transport. Good hiking trails nearby too.
Nothing!
The breakfast was disappointing, no offer of hot drinks apart from tea and black coffee, no toasts or biscuits, was expecting a continental breakfast but left disappointed.
Room was quite warm and the carpet not very comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent
Breakfast on the 1st day an hour wait.
Everything was so pleasant that you didn't want to leave and visit anywhere local whilst there.
nothing.
Beautiful location (we knew this anyway but enhanced by lovely weather in the evening), really friendly and helpful staff, great food, good choices for dinner and breakfast.
No facial tissues in the bedroom (I have numerous allergies). Smoking areas need to be more segregated (slightly impacted our meal outside). Lots of stairs, absolutely no good for people with mobility issues.
The staff were truly exceptional. Our room was clean, comfortable and beautifully finished. The bathroom was simply wonderful - anyone who enjoys bathing will be very happy here!
Only tiny criticisms, the garden was closed for a wedding. The description / advert states it’s a wedding venue and there might be some additional noise. No mention, that I saw, that the garden / areas of hotel could be closed. On a hot summers day closing the garden preventing us from sitting outside by the river was a little bit hard to take. Fortunately the team who work at the Egypt Mill are so lovely, Freya especially, it didn’t really matter. Smoking area should be moved. It was directly under bedroom windows.
Clean and comfortable
Beautiful interior. Room comfortable and luxurious. Good value for money
Food was overpriced and service mixed
Et nydelig sted vakre omgivelser og veldig flotte rom og fellesrom.
Friendly, helpful staff. Fresh-baked cookies (as opposed to cheap 'packet' biscuits) on the coffee tray in the room - nice welcoming touch.

Stupenda atmosfera, molto confortevole geniale le stanze nella fabbrica molto industriale chic, silenzioso
Olde worlde
Difficult to find
Characterful, nice room
Lovely room, great continental breakfast on offer.
I wasn't aware that my room was in an annexe and up three flights of stairs, perhaps the location of the room needs mentioning when booking.
Comfortable bed and lovely room.
Lovely clean and comfortable hotel.
Breakfast not included in the price as on previous stay
