Luxury Absolute Ocean View Lodge

The location was unbeatable and made it feel like a really special place to stay. We enjoyed a lovely bath and comfortable beds. The bottle of wine was a nice touch!

Some baking paper and a larger frypan would have been handy for the meals we chose to cook but that’s just a minor and didn’t dampen the stay at all.

The location is amazing and the beach is fabulous. We had good weather, so easy to walk on the cliff tops and the beach. I'm thinking in a storm it would be pretty wild! The bath and shower off the main bedroom were exceptional, the view from the bath was spectacular. Everything was very clean. The heater in the lounge was really easy to use. Kitchen fully equipped. The censor lights in the hallway are a nice touch. Beds and bedding were very comfy and just the right amount of blanket. Awesome skies at sunrise and sunset. The place has a great vibe.

Only one couch in the lounge area and the room felt a bit tight. We were unable to move the deck furniture, to catch the last of the sun, I'm guessing it's tied down for the wind. Watch out for Google maps advise.... it took us through the farm at milking time! This townie got a 'belt' from the electric fence!

This place is excemptional, so relaxing and luxurious, I especially loved that bath and had several, such and amazing place to lose yourself, loved the beach and everything we need was there for us. Would love to stay again and again.

Bathroom and bath were amazing however people walking by could see in.

The view from the property was lovely and the outside deck had seating. Thankfully the weather was fine as there was no cover.

There was no jacuzzi/hot tub as mentioned in the description. Only a free standing bath in the main ensuite. The living area was too small to comfortably accommodate four adults. Only one 3-seater couch and 4 barstools as seating - no table and chairs.

The property was great. The front windows showing the view were dirty when we arrived but I suppose that is to be expected with something so close to the sea front. The living area is very small - and maybe the listing is a bit misleading because it shows imagery amongst the photo gallery that includes other properties in the area.

For two people it was perfect but I really don't know how more people could stay there - given that there are enough bedrooms to sleep six. The kitchen and the living room are very small and there is only one couch so I don't know how you could possibly share the living space with a larger group of people there.

A jewel, facing the ocean with everything if you enjoy cooking and grilling. 10 minutes from Waiverley Golf Club, a must of an original course!

The toilet was very slow to empty may have plumbing issue Living area very small for three bedroom house but as we only two people it was fine

Pleasantly surprised with some cooking food & utensils provided. House was beautiful & clean with each room having great views of the ocean.

I would have liked a king size bed in the master bedroom for that extra luxury stay.

Property was exceptional.. very clean and easy to work heaters & appliances with great facilities. Very secure and the views and walking tracks exceptional. Host very knowledgeable with a question regarding the area.

It’s a lovely very well appointed house on the beach with everything you need. A great place to get away from the world to relax. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend.

Beim Navi sollte man "Waipipi Beach Access" eingegeben, zumindest Google hat sonst ein Problem wegen dem Tor (die Unterkunft liegt in einem kleinen "Viertel" das mit einem Tor abgesichert ist) und versucht einen über einen Bauernhof umzuleiten.

The location is incredible! The home itself is modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The master bathroom is a fabulous feature! So quiet!

Beautiful home and location

The accommodation was so beautiful! So clean, comfortable and with an amazing view. We went away to unwind for the weekend and it was perfect for our needs and felt truly reset and refreshed! The property is positioned in a private gated area with pin code and this made it feel extra safe and secluded.

The location was perfect for a quiet weekend away. Beautiful ocean views and a great place to stay. Loved the layout and great outdoor area for a barbeque.

The beautiful modern look, Amazing view and also the bath tub was fantastic to wind down after the huge day we had attending te matatini in New Plymouth

Excellent location and luxurious facilities. Immaculate with nice touches throughout the property. Definitely ideal for business travellers visiting Taranaki if you want to a break from the city. The starlink internet was great to do some work after a stroll on the beach.

The Lodge is fully equipped (washing machine, dryer, dishwasher), great bath and shower. The view to the sea is exceptional.

Fabulous location with lake, sea, sunset and star views! Loved the beach swimming followed by a dip in the lake. Clean, comfortable and well presented home. Grateful for fans in each bedroom.

Stunning views, spotlessly clean and thank you to have spare food in the pantry in case needed. We had a great rest.

The property overall was stunning ! We loved the reservoir/lake with water for a fresh swim and the very short walk to the black sand beach. The house was very clean and modern and the deck has a lovely view. The kitchen supplies and amenities were very good and thoughtful. The beach is not exactly swimmable but has plenty of caves and waterfalls to explore. The sunsets and star gazing from the property were a special treat ! The town nearby also has a four square to get all the food supplies we need to cook during the stay.

We would have appreciated a water Tap outside to help clean up sand from our feet/clothes before getting into the property. Toilet paper was a very thin quality (only single ply) and only had two rolls in each bathroom which ran out very quickly ! So keeping more stock of it would be appreciated. Tip: On Google maps , for some reason, the direction took us through a farmland but there is an easier route by road which the map did not show until we found it after reaching the property , it would be helpful if the easier road route is shown as a image on the listing so people can follow that :)

An absolute gem of a find! We just spent 4 fantastic nights here. Beautifully appointed and exceptionally clean new house, closest to the beach and a lovely wee lake, in a peaceful, quiet neighbourhood. Sitting on the deck each night watching the sunset with a glass of wine laughing at the kids jumping in the lake was a highlight. Having a bath with a lovely view was super relaxing. This place was everything we were looking for. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, this was a super special stay. Tip: put “Waipipi Beach Access” into your google maps, then enter the house address once you’ve passed the gate :)

Absolutely beautiful stay. Incredible ocean views from the bath. All details are cared for including lovely automatic fireplace to enjoy and electric blankets. Very appreciated after a long day hiking Tongariro trail. Kitchen was well equipped. One of our favourite spots to stay in our whole trip.
