Alexandra is super nice ! She was very kind with us during all the stay. The breakfast was excellent, and home made, you can choose among plenty of typical sri lankan dishes. It’s also calm, and we truly felt at home. If we go again in this area, we woulf definitely come back! We completely recommend ! 👍

Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft nicht weit vom Ambuluwawa Tower. Die Familie ist super herzlich und hat mich direkt willkommen geheißen. Bei Fragen wurde mir sofort geholfen und mir wurden viele Tipps gegeben. Sehr ruhig gelegen mit einem schönen Garten und super Frühstück!

Wir haben uns bei Alexandra und ihrer Familie sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles wie beschrieben und sauber. Wir haben sogar eine Nacht verlängert :)

The hosts are amazing people, and you would love the experience to be in this house, just to have the privilegie to meet them. They do everything in their possibility for you to feel welcome. The help me out and went to pick me up in the scooter, and did the same to drop me off, even waiting with me in the bus stop , so I could catch the correct bus. They hava a lovely garden and they offer me amazing fruit, that was just delicious, for my journey. You can see the tower from their garden. Also I was with cof and they made a natural medicide with lime leafs. Was such a honor to be guest in this house Mrs Alexandra is also a great cooker. And food was amazing. Thank you so much both. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Alexandra und ihrer Familie aufgenommen. Sie waren sehr hilfsbereit und gaben uns wertvolle Tipps für unsere Reise durch Sri Lanka. Das Zimmer sowie das Bad waren gut ausgestattet und besonders sauber. Es gab sehr guten Tee und am Morgen ein frisch von Alexandra zubereitetes leckeres Frühstück. Man hat die Wahl zwischen vier verschiedenen Menüs, drei davon original nach Sri Lanka Art. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen wunderschönen Blick in den Garten und auf die Berge. In nur einer viertel Stunde ist mit man mit dem Tuktuk am Tower Ambuluwawa.. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft sehr zu empfehlen.

Malý pokojíček, pokud by byly obsazené oba pokoje, tak by byla koupelna sdílená.

I had a very nice stay at Alexandra home. Alexandra and her husband made me feel very welcome and the location was perfect to see the tower. Room was basic and clean and I couldn't ask for more. I also had very good Sri Lankan breakfast.

Velmi krásné ubytování v soukromí. Čisté, pokoje byl menší, ale paní majitelka nám umožnila uložit zavazadla, tak abychom měli dostatek prostoru. Majitelka je velmi milá a hodná. Snídaně byla skvostná!! Určitě doporučuji. Je to kousek k věži Ambulawa tower.

First I was a little bit disappointed because of the very small room. The bathroom is not directly attached, it's just next door and I thought it was shared. But it was not and in the end it was no problem. The terrace is nice, you're sitting there, looking at the garden with trees and birds, it's very relaxing. Alexandra is a very nice person, who is cooking very good, best Dal ever I had there!

The room was tiny, but clean and fully furnished. The bathroom was shared with another rented room. The accomodation owmers were really polite and willing to wait for us for check-in until late in the evening.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Gampola. The location is great and very close to Ambuluwawa Tower. The staff were extremely kind and provided wonderful, attentive service. The breakfast was also very delicious

Excellent stay. The hosts are great, very welcoming and informative, very kind and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and homemade. Definitely the best place to feel like home!

Extremely warm welcome and ultra kind service throughout my stay. Mister lent me his scooter for the Three Temple tour. Madame cooked a fabulous veg rice and curry for dinner and breakfast was exceptional

It would be better if there was a door between the guest rooms and the rest of the house for more privacy and less noise

Ich hatte eine wunderbare Zeit mit und bei Alexandra, die Übernachtung war die Beste der ganzen Reise. Mein Zimmer und auch das Bad waren sehr sauber, es gab einen Wasserkocher und einen Föhn, ausreichend Tageslicht und die Matratze war einfach himmlisch gemütlich. Hier kann man sich ausgezeichnet von den Strapazen des Reisens erholen. Alexandra ist zudem eine wirklich gute Köchin und hat ein super leckeres Frühstück gezaubert & den besten Tee überhaupt serviert. Zu etwas so Besonderem macht diese Unterkunft allerdings Alexandra selber. Sie ist einfach ein wunderbarer Mensch mit dem man sich gerne unterhält und der einen absolut Willkommen im eigenen Haus fühlen lässt. Sie hat sich sogar die Zeit genommen, mir ihren tollen Garten zu zeigen, in welchem sie Gewürze, Obst, Gemüse und Co anpflanzt. Ich habe mich einfach rundum wohl gefühlt, kann die Unterkunft aus vollem Herzen weiterempfehlen und freue mich, irgendwann einmal zurück zu kommen.

Мы остановились здесь на одну ночь и были приятно удивлены теплым приемом семьи. Нам предоставили две отдельные комнаты с чистым постельным бельем и просторной ванной комнатой с теплым душем. Хозяева порекомендовали отличное место для ужина — Zorba Cafe, и мы всем сердцем советуем его посетить. Также стоит отметить, что дом находится недалеко от башни Ambuluwawa.

One of the nicest homestays we could find in the area. Everything ist super clean and you feel very safe and welcome. Alexandra and her family are super kind and support you in every thinkable way. They would have even rented us their own motorbike, aswell as giving us the option of drinking tea and coffee together for free. We would recommend to everybody👍 Greetings from Germany.

La posizione un po’ fuori Gampola (il che forse è anche un bene) ma lontano da servizi come ristoranti (almeno 1 km a piedi il più vicino).

The hosts were lovely and incredibly helpful and attentive from the moment I arrived. The place is warm, homely and clean and so is the room. They have a scooter available which I could use to visit the tower and get around town. 100% recommended for your stay in Gampola.

The owners were very welcoming, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were lovely. We were recommended a great restaurant for dinner. We’re shown around the garden and told about the different plants than we have at home.

Eine sehr nette Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage nahe des Zentrums der Stadt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nette und hilfsbereite Menschen die auch gute Tipps für die Umgebung geben. Das frühstück war auch sehr lecker und vielfältig.

We had a beautiful 3 night stay in Alexandra's Home. It's only 5min with TukTuk from Gampola Town in a quiet area. Surrounded by nature, close to Ambuluwawa Tower and a beautiful lake nearby. The room was very comfortable and very nice bathroom, everything super clean! Lovely breakfast each morning and Alexandra and her family are very nice and friendly people, they make you feel like home❤️🌞 We would always come back and can highly recommend this place to everyone!!

Lovely family and beautiful home, we arrived to a lovely cup of tea which was a nice touch. Incredible dinner and breakfast made by the lovely owner, everything was amazing. She even showed us some old memorabilia from the family history which was super interesting. Hot shower and comfortable bed. What more could you want!?

We had a wonderful time with Alexandra and her husband. They were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent. The rooms were clean and cozy. This accommodation is the perfect starting point for visiting the Ambuluwawa Tower. After a two-hour hike, we reached the top, but it can also be accessed easily by TukTuk or car. The interaction with our hosts was open and uncomplicated, and they shared many interesting stories and facts about Sri Lanka. We also had the opportunity to pick our own soursop and pepper in their garden. We can highly recommend this place and would gladly stay here again!

This was a great location close by the tower we were visiting with an amazing host. It is nice clean and comfortable for our short stay. My wife decided to stay here because they have a shower separate from the toilet and she always slips in the wet rooms. The host gave us a lot of local recommendations for food and other activities and took the time out of her day to ensure we were comfortable on our stay. She even provided breakfast for us for our stay! I highly recommend this host!

Very nice Home-Stay, well located for Ambuluwawa Tower, the family organised an adapter for my phone & a very good dinner for me, although I arrived late.

Definitely our most memorable stay. Alexandra and Darshana are the best hosts, they really make you feel like you are family. The place is clean and the homemade breakfast is delicious. They also have a lovable garden and an adorable dog. They are very helpful and hospitable, they even took care of me when I felt sick. We've had good conversations too. Thank you for everything:)

- 2 bedrooms, one has a more comfortable mattress - very friendly and helpful family, you share the flat with them - booking on short notice without any problems

I depart train gampola station and goes more than 10 -12 hotels in gampola twon area.my headache grown biger than biger see that location and their Rooms finally i decide go to the kandy.unfortunately i meet this marvelous place to stay..i want to thanks to the universe for guide me to go to this place...Highly Recommend this place and double salute to the staff and their humanity ,they was delighted me.....

It was perfect! The family was really nice and lovely. They helped us with everything and also to plan our Day and our future travel to Ella. The room was really comfortable and nice. Also the bathroom was amazing with hot shower and towels. It was very clean and quiet and easy to get to Ambuluwawa Tower. We could have also an amazing cheap home cooked breakfast and lunch. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!
