It's an amazing place!

We had a wonderful stay at Foyers Bay Country House. The location above Loch Ness is simply stunning, and our room had a beautiful view over the loch. In the evenings, we were lucky enough to see deer and even badgers coming into the garden — such a magical experience and a wonderful reminder of how close you are to nature here. We also had dinner at the house, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was prepared with great care and tasted wonderful. A very special place in a truly dreamlike location, with wonderful hosts who clearly put their heart and soul into what they do

It was a beautiful house and room. The animals are sweet and hosts are helpful with suggestions around the area.

I didn’t like how we had gotten locked outside the BnB 10 minutes after they said they close for the night. We were not given any way to access the front door of the BnB itself. After being locked out, we called the hosts and could not get ahold of them (about 7 times all together), rang every doorbell possible, and yet still nobody came to help. After waiting for 30 minutes, hoping somebody would pick up and/or hear the constant doorbells being rung, my partner and I were forced to find the nearest hotel with an open room (45 minutes away). The next morning we called the hosts of the BnB after having none of our missed calls answered and requested a slightly later check out as we had to drive 45 minutes back to get our stuff from the room we could not access the night before! They first denied seeing any calls or doorbell notifications- stating they didn’t even lock up until after 10 past 11 (blatantly false as we arrived at 11:05-11:10 as you could see from missed calls). They then stated that they wanted to have the weekend off, so asked for us to check out as soon as possible after we requested a slightly later check out. Once we arrived to check ourselves out at 10:30 (as they asked) they admitted that they simply couldn’t hear us, their phones were on silent, and they didn’t check to see everyone was in the house. This was a glaring problem in the operations of this BnB. Having no key to access the BnB itself after 11pm is a serious safety concern and left us paying for another room AND the hosts NOT refunding us for the night we COULD NOT ACCESS OUR ROOM. To be clear, the only reason we were 10 mins past closing was because my partner had gotten food poisoning on the drive back from dinner. I understand needing to lock up for the night, but not providing guests a reliable way to enter and exit the BnB at a quite early hour of the night is a serious issue. We were left without clothes, medications, toiletries, and all of our belongings for the night.

Esperienza indimenticabile. La posizione è tranquilla anche se non facilmente raggiungibile. MA tutto il resto vince anche su questo piccolo inconveniente. Lo staff è gentilissimo, mettendoti subito a tuo agio. Colazioni e cena strepitose. Se amati gli animali poi non perdetevi il Gallo Pip!!

Gli osti sono gentilissimi, si occupano dei loro ospiti in maniera esemplare, un plus: la loro benevolenza anche riguardo agli animali. La bella casa è immersa nel verde, le camere e il lounge sono molto carini. I proprietari stessi ci hanno preparato una buonissima colazione che abbiamo gustato nel loro giardino d'inverno. Moi et ma famille sommes tombés amoureux de cet hôtel et des hôtes de ce dernier! Tout est absolument parfait : la localisation, le confort, la gentillesse des hôtes. Cet endroit a une âme et ce n’est pas juste un hôtel comme les autres mais vraiment un endroit où on se sent comme à la maison, c’est tellement cosy et charmant! Je vous conseille également d’y rester dîner car la nourriture est excellente. Un grand merci! (Les animaux le soir et le matin qui viennent dans le jardin de l’hôtel, quelle bonheur)

We entered a driveway getting greeted by a doe. The Foyers Bay Country House is a little piece of paradise right on the Loch in the middle of a forest. Our hosts have been wonderfull, kind, nature and animal loving folks. You're going to see alot of wildlife there, pheasants, deer, badgers (!), and even the chicken are asking for cuddles. Great breakfast. Best bedsheets in Scotland. Thank you both.

We had an absolutely amazing stay in foyers bay country house. First of all the accommodation itself is set in an idyllic location surrounded by trees and beautiful greenery with a view of loch Ness itself. Our room was so comfortable with lovely quality bedding and was double aspect with a balcony. Beautiful. The food is all cooked to order and was fresh and delicious. A major selling point for us was the nature and the animals. You can see pheasant ducks and red squirrel feeding in the garden and at night deer and badgers come right up to the conservatory and can be viewed really closely. Absolutely fantastic. Elly and Chris who own the place are the loveliest couple you could ever hope to meet. The are so friendly and helpful in every way and go the extra mile at all times to help make your stay special. They totally make you feel at home. Thanks Chris and Elly. We also had a brilliant trip on the loch itself with beastie boats which you can book online and can be accessed from foyers pier just ten minutes walk away. I fully recommend them. If you want a trip away to a peaceful haven surrounded by nature and beauty with excellent service this is the place to book.

Foyers Bay Country House ist ein ganz besonderer Ort, den man selten findet. Die Lage des Gasthauses ist perfekt am Wald am Loch Ness gelegen, von wo aus man super Wanderrouten machen kann. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, aufgeschlossen und zuvorkommend. Auch die Tiere des Hofes (Hennen & Hühner, Katzen) sowie das Wild Life drum herum (Dachse, Rehe) sind vom Gasthaus aus zu beobachten, was einen ganz besonderen Zauber inne hat. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel & sauber (wir hatten Zimmer Nr. 1), und auch das Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker! Alles wird von den beiden Gastgebern jeden Morgen frisch zubereitet. Absolute Empfehlung, wenn man eine besondere Unterkunft mit viel Natur drum herum sucht.

The owners were lovely people, and the general atmosphere in the house was very tranquil. There was a great little balcony area adjoining two of the upstairs rooms, so we got to enjoy a sunny day outside. The food was delicious (can recommend the duck for two!) and everything exceeded our expectations. This was truly the gem of our 10 day Scotland road trip!

There were no darkening blinds in the room so it got light very early. Other than that we loved everything.

The lounge area and diner are pleasant but little dated. We felt the hotel was overpriced in comparison with similar hotels at this level.

Where do I begin. Chris and Elly were wonderful hosts. Friendly and helpful, they made us feel completely at home. The lovely old Victorian property is set in an idyllic location with beautiful mature trees and sweeping green lawns looking down to lovely views of Loch Ness. There is a comfortable lounge with licensed bar and the dining room is in the spacious conservatory where you can watch stunning wildlife outside (red squirrels, deer, pheasants endless bird varieties to name but a few) while Ellie cooks every meal fresh to order. Chris is a consummate host and Elly’s cooking is sublime (try the steak - it melts in your mouth). Breakfast is varied and first rate. The rooms are elegantly furnished, well equipped and very clean. We took our Labrador and he was made extremely welcome and he too had a sausage cooked to order for breakfast by Elly! There is a lovely walk immediately at the back of the property to the Falls of Foyers. It is also easy to walk down to the banks of Loch Ness. The property is within easy travelling distance of Fort Augustus and Inverness. If you want a true taste of the Highlands, I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Die Unterkunft liegt auf der nicht-touristischen Seite von Loch Ness. Über eine kleine Straße erreichbar und absolut fernab von Lärm und Streß. Zudem gibt es einen tollen Blick auf Loch Ness. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll hergerichtet und die Gastgeber geben sich alle Mühe die Gäste glücklich zu machen. Sehr gute Restaurants cam 15 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar.

A beautiful place, the room was very comfortable with a nice garden view, lots of birds and squirrels in the garden, the breakfast was delicious and the hosts are very nice and absolutely perfect!

A truly special place above Loch Ness. You can feel in every detail how much love and passion Chris and Ellie put into hosting their guests – nothing is left to chance, everything is thoughtful and warm. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, but it’s the genuine care of the hosts that makes this place unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

L’hôtel est très agréable et le couple qui s’en occupe est très sympathique… on a aussi beaucoup aimé les photos de Mme Russel qui est une photographe très douée !!!

La chambre au rez de chaussée est un peu bruyante car près de la réception. L’hôtel ne propose pas de diner donc cela peut poser problème car Foyers est relativement isolé.

This place is a must for all travellers, the peaceful hilltops of nature to the comfort of a quiet peaceful room to the point you’ll never want to leave. The beds were amazing and the food is 10/10 cooked in front of you while you’ll dine in a conservatory looking over Loch Ness and the green hilltops. You’ll Definitely need a few days to wind down at this property.

Delightful bed and breakfast and the welcoming staff made us feel right at home. We had a king sized room with view, very comfortable bed and small but adequate ensuite. Excellent meal cooked to order by our hosts and the added bonus of wildlife coming to the door of the conservatory.

Foyers Bay Country House is a delight. Stunning location, exceptional hosts, great value for money and an ideal base for travelling around Loch Ness. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Loved the views of Loch Ness from our room! The house was beautiful and our hosts were wonderful ; friendly and welcoming ! Enjoyed seeing the pheasants and red squirrels. Also enjoyed the trails that were just minutes away from the property and the hikes that would take you right down to Lochness

The home is quite a distance from any town and the road can be a bit dodgy for someone that is not used to driving on the left.

Chris & Elly are lovely hosts and were very welcoming making us feel at home straight away. Nothing was too much trouble and they were full of advice and highly knowledgeable of all aspects of the area and wildlife. Excellent breakfasts and main meals too.

What a hidden gem! Chris & Elly were very welcoming. There are badgers & deers that come up to the conservatory door in the evening to eat the food that Chris puts out for them. You also see red squirrels close up and not forgetting the cockerel that comes in the conservatory in the morning for a cuddle. The room was very spacious with a door leading onto a shared balcony. The food is delicious. Stunning views of Loch Ness.
