Joy Island Maldives All Inclusive Resort

I had read so many wonderful reviews before coming here, so my expectations were already very high. I can honestly say that they were not only fully met, but even exceeded. Everything was amazing: the beautiful sea, the resort itself, the atmosphere, and the excellent food. But what truly made the difference for us were the people. A very special mention goes to Mo, who looked after us throughout our entire stay as our personal assistant. He was absolutely amazing — always kind, helpful, attentive and ready to make our holiday even more special. A huge thank you also to Adman, who was an exceptional waiter and always made us feel so welcome, and to Tutu, a truly wonderful and special person whose kindness and smile we will always remember. People like them are what make a beautiful place unforgettable. Thanks to them, we felt pampered, cared for and almost at home from the very first day. This place will always have a special place in our hearts, and we are already thinking about coming back next year. A big hug to everyone, and thank you for making our holiday so special. ❤️

Hrana je bila odlična. Vse pohvale tudi našemu lokalnem vodiču,gostitelju Mo-ju kateri je bil vedno na voljo za vsa vprašanja, rezervacije.

Вообще, это как будто не базовая пятерка, а хорошая четверка. Номера приятные, пляж и море хорошие, все чисто и зелено, НО! Остров крошечный и делать совсем нечего, кроме съездить на снорклинг (риф - отличный) и спа (очень спокойный). В главное ресторане вкусно, но завтрак до 10 (!), а ужин до 21:30, кроме одного бара после пойти некуда, просто больше ничего нет, кроме еще нескольких столиков на другом конце острова. Вечерняя программа - это часа два уныло поющая группа. Во все включено есть коктейли с крепким алкоголем, а вот апероль, который полегче, уже за доп.деньги. Винная карта - ужасная, три вида белого, розе и три вида красного. Уборка отвратительная и в самые неудобный часы. Наша хост Дарья очень старалась, но претензии по уборке решить не смогла, это даже не к ней вопрос, а к хозяевам отеля. Персонал в целом уставший, иногда продают ужины на закате, но в целом, всем как будто чуть все равно. Обратно мы плыли в аэропорт в дикий шторм, по сравнению с которым Титаник - это сказка для детей. Никто не утонул, но безопасность трансферов - чудовищна.

Сменить звездность с 5 на 4 и проблем не будет

Отдыхали две недели в июле в этом фантастическом отеле, довольны на все 💯!!! Лагуна потрясающая, красота 24/7 во всём! Невероятно приветливый и доброжелательный персонал, каждый на своем месте, внимание и забота к каждому гостю ежедневно! Чисто, уборка ежедневно, еда в ресторане Market (олл инклюзив) выше всех похвал, всегда всё свежее, разнообразно каждый день! Отдельное спасибо девушке Indah, которая всегда встречала на входе ресторана с улыбкой, и помнила имена каждого, что очень мило☺️ и нашему официанту , который каждый день готовил сам нам специальный десерт папайя с соком лайма (забыла имя к сожалению), но это было великолепно. Детский клуб отдельная похвала, сотрудники просто невероятно внимательные к детям, программа каждый день разнообразная, дочь не пропускала ни одного мастер-класса и мероприятия ! Отдельное спасибо нашему батлеру Hilson!! Всегда приветлив, можно обратиться по любому вопросу и всё быстро решает! На острове есть клиника и доктор, сыну заболело ухо и нас тут же доставили к врачу, который грамотно назначил капли и за три дня всё пошло! В барах очень вкусные коктейли и алкагольные и безалкогольные, не успеешь присесть как тут же приносят напитки, очень приятный парень Aabish, который быстро выучил наши предпочтения и даже готовил детям коктейли от себя, которых нет в карте, и которые так нравились детям! Бесплатно на последние 5 дней нам сделали апгрейд на водную виллу с бассейном, спасибо нашему Hilson за такой невероятный сюрприз к дню рождения! Это были две независимые недели, обязательно вернемся!

Everything was great. Our host Hassan was incredible and helpful. All the team in the Restaurant and buffet were amazing. Cleaning staff were incredible as well, room was always kept clean and restocked. The experience is just premium and incredible. Worth the money and stay.

I liked the most the service of the hôtel. Hambe helped us to organise unforgettable birthday of my daughter and offered free level up of our room for the birthday, we highly appreciated. Both rooms (Beach villa and océan villa) were clean and large. The food is also delicious. I would like to come back soon.

Everything was perfect. The resort is stunning, with beautiful facilities, excellent food, and a true paradise setting. What really made our stay unforgettable was our host, Andy. He took care of us from the moment we arrived, was always friendly, professional, and genuinely caring, and made sure every detail was perfect. Thanks to him, our family had an amazing and memorable vacation. We would definitely come back.

The views are breathtaking

There was a strong urine smell in our overwater pool villa. The food was very underwhelming. The all inclusive package doesn’t include most of the restaurants, just the main restaurant called Market. The food was not good.

Fantastic location, scenery was breathtaking and the entire staff went above and beyond to make our entire stay enjoyable. Our Island Host Yasir was fantastic and took great care of us during our stay in the two bedroom lagoon villa.

Very nice all-inclusive resort. Good for families with kids- kids club, animation. Food in main restaurant is very good, it is also possible to pre-order food for kids (soup, naggers etc). A lot of evening activities (if you need it). We stayed in 2 rooms - beach suite with pool and family villas. Both accommodations were nice, it is very beautiful beach near the beach suite with pool (without snorkelling options ), but we also like the beach near family villas (nice for families with some places from snorkelling). Very nice and friendly staff!!! Great massage, nice spa zone.

All was good. May be timing to wait the buggy (if you need to go, for example, to water villas , you will possibly need buggy, especially during the daytime - it was very hot in March and it is difficult to walk throw resort without buggy ). Also it is necessary to understand that it is very good all inclusive resort for families/companies - like Turkey all inc hotels, but it seems not very suitable for couples who would like to spend the romantic hollliday without crowded restaurants and loud music in the evening. What else to say… may be the wine in all incl conception was not nice, prosecco was ok! Mosquitos (fumigator/repellents were necessary in March).

Yet this resort is only about 4 years old, has already evolved to at his peak and one can see that this has happened beacuse their hear the customers need and suggestions. Learn, apply and repit, nonstop until achieved perfection in customer service. They pick you up and deposit at the airport so they keep good track of you. The distance of 40 min from airport ny speedboat is perfect and when you arrive to the island you can see the heavenly landscape. The rooms, specifically the lagoon with pool, you can see the construction is really solid. Impecable cleaned, cozy and spacious. Activities and beaches are on spot. Special mention to our main hoster Hilson who is in every single detail and more. His skills in coordinating all and giving us more and beyond, left us speechless. Impressive. Daniele as main man for the food part, delivers large variety and flavors from all over the world. Finally, our favorite weiters, Suzi, Richardl and Haam (sorry I mispel) are an inspiration for the new generations of young people in this sector, all around the world, serving with positive atitud and always ahead of the client s needs. All this talented staff is what makes it work. I ll miss you guys. Will be back asap. Take care.

Room was comfortable and kept spotless by the housekeeper Sunith. Overall we had a lovely time and all staff were lovely including those at the restaurant and I will mention the ones I remember like Zaatke, Hamid, Citra, and also in the childcare specially Sando (apologies to all for the spelling) and our host Andy. The play area is very well set up and excellent for a break from the sun and heat for the little ones. The beaches had nice soft white sand and the sea was great for swimming too. The room was comfortable - we have had better with also an indoor bathroom or part thereof but that’s a choice at booking.

All inclusive does not include any snacks in the course of the day except the tea at the designated time in the afternoon and also no snacks in the minibar- that can be annoying if you don’t feel like going to lunch.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! Everything exceeded our expectations from start to finish. A special thank you to our curator, Naseem, who supported us at every stage and made our experience smooth and truly enjoyable. His attention to detail and care made a big difference. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary two-day upgrade to a villa with a private pool — an unforgettable experience! The food was delicious and always fresh, with a great variety of options. We also really enjoyed the tours and snorkeling activities we booked — truly once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Overall, this trip gave us memories that will stay with us forever. We would definitely love to come back!

Arni, who was in charge of our Vira service, provided exceptional hospitality. Thanks to her, we had a wonderful stay without any inconvenience. We would love to have her assist us again on our next visit. The other staff members were also kind, which made us feel very relaxed and comfortable.

I had a very good stay in joy maldives . The beach was very clear and villa is extremely big which i was able to rest. The Beach suite villa has direct access to the beach as well. The restaurants in the island has good option and many choices. The experience of japanese corner was veey good as well. Mr Naseem our host was very nice and very helpful during the holiday. He was caring and assisting with our all requests. We will definitely come back to the property again

Хороший отель с замечательным персоналом. Нас ждали в аэропорту, проводили на скоростной катер и через 40 минут мы уже были на острове. Нас встретили как долгожданных гостей с улыбками и барабанами, проводили на ресепшен, где каждому был выделен персональный менеджер. У нас был гид Naseem, приятный, дружелюбный, улыбчивый мужчина, который провел экскурсию по острову, ответил на все наши вопросы, оставил свой телефон и в течении всего отпуска был постоянно на связи. Naseem очень оперативно отвечал на сообщения. Такой сервис нам с мужем очень понравился. Большое спасибо, Naseem! Мы бронировали виллу с видом на восход и она прекрасна! Вид на риф, восход и бескрайний океан (виллы на закат смотрят на стройку соседнего острова). Возле неё очень красивая, чистая вода (в отличии от основного пляжа с баром, где вода мутновата), но имейте ввиду, возле виллы сильное течение, поэтому спокойно плавать там можно только утром в отлив (если вы не профессиональный пловец), после обеда начинается  прилив и сильно сносит течением. Номер большой, приятный. Можно позвонить на ресепшен и вызвать багги. Видели много скатов, рыбок прям у виллы. Еда. Ресторан шведского стола вкусный, ассортимент совсем небольшой, но постоянно меняется. Почти все вкусно, многое готовится из под ножа, повара и официанты молодцы. Всегда есть мясо, рыба, паста, вкусные десерты, фрукты, овощи, что-то из фастфуда. Напитки. Алкоголя по системе "все включено" не самый большей выбор, но в целом сностно. Очень вкусные свежевыжатые соки на завтрак. Пляж. Их несколько. У главного бара и бассейна пляж плохой, там почти никто не купается. Как мы поняли, остров новый, насыпной. На самом оживленном пляже с лежаками и баром Palm beach - вода спокойная всегда, но мутноватая, особенно на контрасте. Обслуживание хорошее, все очень приветливые, улыбчивые, всегда помогут, подскажут. Развлениния. Ежедневно много активностей для детей и взрослых. Приятная, ненавязчивая анимация. Ребята молодцы.

Из минусов - не очень качественная уборка, подметали и полотенца меняли ежедневно, на этом все, даже не мыли полы (или не всегда мыли). Не всегда пополняли питьевую воду. * В ресторане "все включено" некоторые позиции продают за деньги, это не совсем адекватно, на мой взгляд. Есть магазин, есть платные рестораны, где можно это продавать. * На пляже у бара нет обслуживания, это не уровень 5 звездочного отеля. * Растительность в не очень хорошем состоянии, она есть, её довольно много, но она требует ухода и внимания, сухая, с вредителями.

Расположение! Дорога от аэропорта до отеля заняла всего 45 минут на скоростном катере. В аэропорту встретили, проводили. На ресепшен есть несколько девушек русскоговорящих. За каждым бунгало закреплен определенный сотрудник, который всегда на связи . У нас была замечательная девушка Ако. Даже по моей просьбе нашла местную валюту 🥳, самые красивые денежные купюры в мире❤️ Территория отеля спланирована так, что у каждого свой отдельный уголок для отдыха, никто никому не мешает , хотя было много семей с маленькими детьми. Пляж чистый, с широкой прибрежной полосой. На одной стороне острова закат, на другой восход. Много различных фотозон. Шикарный фитнес зал с видом на океан для тех кто и на отдыхе предпочитает оставаться в форме!!! Питание на высшем уровне. Каждый день разная кухня. Мы брали всё включено. Отдельное спасибо парню, который убирал наш бунгало (229) Имя не помню, но он с Шри-Ланки и очень хорошо говорит на русском. В Joy весь персонал очень дружелюбный и приятный. Отличный семейный отель по приятной цене! Рекомендую!

Посетили joy Island. Остались очень довольны отдыхом! Сняли виллу на воде с видом на восход! Шикарный вид на океан! Очень понравился формат виллы на воде с персональным выходом в океан. Территория отеля довольно большая, ухоженная. Очень вежливый персонал. Особенное спасибо хочется выразить обслуживающему персоналу ресторана - Juni, Gita, Indah, Mubarik, Nattu, Ham, Ausath, Raz, Candy. Очень услужливые, всегда улыбчивые, при входе встречают с радостью! Это очень приятно! Благодарность нашему русскоязычному представителю - Марал! Поддерживала нас на протяжении всего отдыха, рассказывала о ежедневных активити, отвечала на интересующие вопросы. Понравилась кухня- шведский стол. Вкусные овощи, фрукты, рыба, мясо. Все всегда свежее! Влюбилась в местные карри и тематическую кухню! Попробовали Мальдивские, шри-Ланскую кухню! Необычно и очень вкусно! Посетили 2 экскурсии- в поисках черепах, и вечерний круиз к дельфинам. Остались очень довольны! Особенно понравился круиз- нам повезло, мы встретили очень много дельфинов!!!! И испытали восторг и детскую радость! Незабываемые моменты! Местное спа также посетили. Релакс! Это был чудесный отпуск! Уезжаем наполненные прекрасными моментами, проведенными в Joy Island. И с большой радостью встречи снова!

Breakfast was amazing every morning! Plenty of options to choose from and even though it was a buffet everything had such great quality! Staff was amazing when ordering coffee or anything we needed! Our resort staff, Yasir, was AMAZING! Request him if you can because he was incredible. Sent videos of our welcome and departure which was a nice touch. We also had decorations on our table every night (which I believe was because we got the largest overwater bungalow). The room was amazing and VERY spacious. AC worked amazing and we never had any problems.

Joy Island lives up to its name - it is certainly a joy to visit! Our spacious and clean villa was a few meters from the beach. Beach was clean and the waters were crystal clear. We saw lots of fish and tiny crabs. We actually were content snorkelling there so didn’t we do the snorkelling tour. You can book lots of activities, or be like us, and just relax and do nothing. Staff were warm and friendly. Shoutout to our host, Naseem, who was incredibly lovely and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and always did so with a smile on his face. Airport and transfer boat crew were all wonderful. Our group was arriving on different flights and they organised our transfers without any issues. The welcome and farewell on the island was a nice gesture. All inclusive food is buffet style and is plentiful and tasty. There was plenty of variety - Indian, Italian, Maldivian (every Thursday) etc. There are also vegetarian options so you won’t go hungry. We all had a relaxing time and would love to go back.

Soggiorno meraviglioso in un resort che ha superato le nostre aspettative. Essendo la nostra prima esperienza alle Maldive, siamo rimasti colpiti fin dall’arrivo dalla calorosa accoglienza e dalla bellezza del contesto naturale, con una spiaggia davvero spettacolare. La villa era accogliente, pulita e confortevole, perfetta per vivere la vacanza in totale relax. Anche il personale si è dimostrato sempre gentile e disponibile, contribuendo a rendere il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Il cibo è risultato molto buono e di qualità. Un ringraziamento speciale a Gracia e Niha, sempre sorridenti e attente nell’accoglienza al ristorante, capaci di farci sentire ogni giorno benvenuti. Grazie anche a Chicca per la sua grande disponibilità e presenza, soprattutto quando abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema, gestito con professionalità e attenzione. Un’esperienza indimenticabile che consigliamo vivamente.

Come unico piccolo aspetto migliorabile, segnaliamo che il referente assegnato non è stato sempre molto presente e alcune attività ed eventi del resort non ci sono stati comunicati tempestivamente, venendo scoperti casualmente durante il soggiorno. Nulla di grave, ma una comunicazione più puntuale renderebbe l’esperienza ancora migliore.

Desidero innanzitutto ringraziare Aani e Gracia per la costante attenzione e la cura con cui ci hanno seguiti durante il soggiorno. L’intero staff si è distinto per gentilezza, disponibilità e sorrisi sinceri, contribuendo a farci sentire sempre a nostro agio. Abbiamo apprezzato molto anche la cucina del Market, varia e di ottima qualità. Io e mia moglie siamo stati davvero pienamente soddisfatti della vacanza. La villa in laguna sul versante dell’alba regala un panorama straordinario: trascorrere una settimana accompagnati soltanto dal suono dell’oceano è un’esperienza difficile da dimenticare. I loved everything about the property. The island is stunning, beautifully maintained, and offers crystal-clear water, soft white sand, and breathtaking views from the villas. The food was varied, fresh, and of excellent quality. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. I also enjoyed the wide range of activities such as snorkeling, tennis, kayaking, and more – every day felt special.

There was absolutely nothing I didn’t like. My stay was entirely positive and exceeded all expectations.

I recently stayed at Joy Island in the Maldives, and honestly, it was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was exceptional — every staff member greeted me with a smile and made me feel truly welcomed. The resort is incredibly clean; every corner feels fresh, well-maintained, and taken care of with so much attention to detail. The food was another highlight — delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of variety. Every meal felt like a small celebration. But the brightest part of my stay was Sayuri. She is an amazing person — kind, thoughtful, and always ready to help with a warm heart. She made everything easier, smoother, and more special. I’m genuinely grateful for her. A very pleasant hotel with a cozy atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Everything was great overall, although the Wi-Fi was a bit weak at times. Special thanks to our guide Bota — a true professional. She organized the excursions perfectly, was always available, and very helpful. Highly recommended!

The island was beautiful. Peaceful and plenty going on if you wanted to take part ion activities. The staff were all amazing and so friendly and helpful. The food options and quality were superb.

The late night DJ music was a bit Techno and loud.

The best vacation of our lives ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I booked this trip for my mums birthday and Christmas after visiting last year, to my surprise the host who met us at the airport said “welcome back!” I did not think they would remember or record returning guests. She was so friendly, immediately took a bag to help us (we had many) and was chatting with us the whole time, even showed us a menu of what dinner we could order to be ready for us when we arrived - as we landed too late for the main dinner. The welcome drink was so refreshing and quickly followed by a prosecco at my request they obliged. The water villa was stunningly clean and our (hot) meals were waiting for us. Our host Naseem was such a beautiful person and was always present, asking if we had everything we needed, helping us with activities, booking, even organising buggy’s through text! He pre-empted our needs and welcomed feedback on everything we did and actioned anything that needed to be addressed. He managed to get us the villa upgrade with private pool as soon as it became available (as I had been asking for this upgrade when I originally booked) and when we really wanted to stay longer into the new year, he checked for us every single day if there was space for us. Trust me, if they had space we would still be there now! The restaurant staff well where to start, every day all smiling welcoming us, remembering our drink orders, I have no idea how they remember everyone’s preferences so effortlessly. They even remember which area you prefer to sit in. Everyone was amazing but a few stand outs were Rishal who was always present and asking if we would like more of our drinks, just really kind-natured, Ripon who made me the best omelettes every day and clearly loves his job so entertaining and friendly. Putu was another lovely girl who was very attentive during all of our meals. I wish I could remember more names as each really deserves their praise.

This is a great island for active couple and families looking for fun and activities. The food was lovely and the staff were very happy and kind.

I really like how naturally welcoming everyone was, starting with the very friendly host, Hassan, who was available throughout our stay, and Akram, who was extremely helpful in guiding us toward the best entertainment activities. The island itself is fabulous, with a beautiful and exceptionally clean beach. The facilities were excellent, especially the Kids Club, which was always well maintained, friendly, and engaging. Special thanks to the wonderful manager, Essa, who was consistently approachable and kind.

If you’re traveling in a windy climate don’t stay in the Sunrise Villa as it’s too windy and the sea current is very high. Food was good and good variety but could be improved.

Splendid beach , everything was amazing. The room, the food and especially the staff. Ravi kept our room very clean and beautifully decorated with kind and warm welcoming messages. Not to forget Jazey, our guide during our time there. He made our stay memorable in every way. We will definitely come again.

10/10. We really enjoyed our stay. The sea is amazing — the water is incredibly clear, and you can spot tropical fish and even rays close to the shore. There are plenty of beaches, all clean and well maintained, with soft white sand, so swimming and taking long walks along the coast is a real pleasure. The service is truly guest-oriented. The staff are friendly, professional, and attentive, responding quickly to requests and focusing on guests’ comfort and safety. Thank you to Ako, who welcomed us on arrival — she also speaks Russian and was always happy to help with any questions. Special thanks to our host Hassaan — professional, polite, and very attentive, always ready to help. He is always available, responds quickly to any questions, and makes sure everything is well organized, so the stay feels easy and stress-free. The chefs also deserve a special mention — a highly professional team, and the food quality was consistently excellent every day. Thank you as well to the team responsible for guest service and comfort, especially Haan and Watsu. Special thanks to Issu from housekeeping for keeping the room spotless and cozy, and thank you to Biki for looking after guests’ safety. And of course, thanks to many other staff members who made our stay truly comfortable. The resort itself is in great condition. Everything is clean, well maintained, and clearly well looked after. You can also feel that the resort keeps improving and developing, constantly working on the details and raising service standards. Hope to come back in the future!

Absolutely amazing place! The transportation from the Velana International Airport is with a high speed boat. It was approximately 30 minutes and was very nice. The island is very beautiful - with clear blue waters for swimming and snorkelling. We’ve seen sting rays, spotted eagle ray etc. Very nice vegetation, which provides great shadows. We’ve chosen beach villa, because with a kid is more comfortable to have the beach in front of you. The villa was modern, with absolutely everything you need, with stunning view. The cleaning was many times a day, so even if you are directly on the beach it’s very, very clean. The main restaurant: The Market provides absolutely amazing food with great variety. And everything was with very high quality and delicious. There is also very nice bar - Rainbow bar, with variable programme for entertainment. Nice pool, sunbeds and many other things that we didn’t even had the time to try. At last but not least - the stuff is amazing - always smiling, providing every tiny detail of your comfort. Unsere Wasservila mit Pool war einfach toll. Der Service in den Restaurants vor allem von Tida und June waren hervorragend, ebenso unser Host Naseem und die komplette Tauchbasis rund um Carol. Wir fühlte uns hier sehr familiär aufgehoben. Wir konnten auch mehrmals das SPA nutzen. Die Anwendungen waren alle durch die Bank perfekt. Danke auch an dieses Team.

Das Housekeeping war für ein 5-Sterne Resort zu schlecht. Die ersten beiden Tage hat man vergessen die Minibar aufzufüllen, wir mussten nach Toilettenpapier selber an der Rezeption nachfragen, weil dieses nicht nachgefüllt worden ist und von den 7 Nächten gab es an 2 Tagen keinen Aufschlagservices im Zimmer und somit auch keine frischen Handtücher. Und das Resort war von russischen Gästen mit zu vielen Kindern dominiert als wir da waren - muss man mögen.... Das "House-Reef" lud nicht wirklich zum Schnorcheln ein - zu flach und komplett tot. Außerhalb durfte man nicht wegen der zu starken Strömung hieß es.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel à Joy Island. C’est un vrai un coin de paradis ! La nourriture est très correcte pour du all inclusive, mais ce qui nous a le plus marqués, c’est la gentillesse et la patience du personnel. Un immense merci à Dita, pour ses câlins et son accueil incomparable. Elle sait tellement bien mettre les gens à l’aise, une vraie boss ! Nous avons déjà hâte de revenir avec notre fils la prochaine fois. Merci également à Hassaan, toujours disponible, professionnel et d’une grande attention. Et enfin, il faut surtout que vous rencontriez Madu, qui a pris le temps de s’assurer que notre séjour était parfait et qui nous a fait découvrir la meilleure burrata de notre vie ! Joy Island restera gravé dans nos mémoires. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

Отдельное спасибо Аани всегда была на связи, приветливая и улыбчивая девушка, с чувством юмора. Рекомендуем отель для пар и семейного отдыха. Развлекательная программа до 24 часов. Видели у отеля скатов, акул, дельфинов. Вернемся еще сюда.

My now fiance and I stayed at Joy Island in April and had an amazing stay. The island is like walking into a picture, it is even better than advertised! We stayed in a lagoon villa and loved it, being able to swim out into fantastic snorkelling spots and watch marine life from our balcony. Our island host, Maral was the best, sorted out all our requests quickly. Maral helped me plan a dream engagement for my fiance and I on the beach that went exactly to plan. A special shoutout to the island manager who is very friendly and is checking in with guests every day, the watersports team for making all our activities super fun and feel worth it. Also to the chefs in the market, especially to the pasta station team who we loved to see every day. Would recommend Joy Island to anyone looking to head to the Maldives.

Keep in mind that the resort is 1 hour past the time in male …. Dinner lunch and breakfast times were very confusing I missed most of it and didn’t get to enjoy the all inclusive part of the deal

It didn’t feel like I was in the Maldives for some reason.. the AC in the room made us sick it is a split AC unit .. overall the resort seemed 4-3 starts and not 5 stars

Our stay was exceptional in every way possible! From the moment we arrived until departure, the staff exceeded our expectations. Rooms were spotless and the facilities were well- maintained. An absolutely heavenly place to relax! We spent our honeymoon here and everything was very nice. Above all, the staff are always friendly and courteous. The evening program was also very good and entertaining. We were only there for a week, but would have loved to stay another week!

What we didn't like were the additional charges for certain food and drinks. We didn't mind the drinks, but we would have expected seafood (not just fish) to be offered for dinner (at no extra charge). Otherwise, the food was top quality and we have no complaints apart from the lizards that kept crawling into the room because the bathroom is not fully enclosed. It's nice to shower half outside, but as there are really many lizards that keep coming into the room and robbing us of our sleep, we will make sure in future that the bathroom is really completely closed and nothing can crawl in. But you have to expect that on an island in the sea.

The staff was SO KIND. I was also shocked with how great the food was. Hassan, our host, took care of all of our needs. I am so picky with food and everything was delicious daily. All the staff cared to learn your name and greet you. Everything was luxurious and felt white glove, I hope to go back soon it was such a great time. The rooms were so clean and turned over immediately. The sunsets were unreal.

We had some bad luck with weather a few days but the staff went out of the way to make sure it was still fun and worth our stay.

Usually we don’t write text reviews, but it was absolutely an unforgettable experience at Joy Island, which exceeded all of our expectations. Beside high standards of cleanliness and the amazing sunset views from the Lagoon Suite room, we could really feel unique attention to details, friendliness and professionalism of the whole staff. It would be impossible to mention every staff member who contributed to our stay, but we would like to personally and especially appreciate all great efforts from Shahil (our Island Host) and manager Jauzee, our villa attendant Rasheed, always welcoming smiles of Gracia, Gita and Destiny at the restaurant, superb fruit service spiced up with fun of Udaya, delicious pastas of Davide, ice creams and kindness of Remi, and always exceptional service of Reethu at Rainbow Bar. Thanks for making our stay special, we will return for sure!

Joy is a spectacular destination for an escape with serene breathtaking views, amazingly hospitable staff, beautiful rooms, and a wide spread of food and beverages that would never leave you hungry. I believe all of this comes down to the amazing group of staff from the welcome received at the airport by Ms. Zulina, to the amazing reception of Ms. Sandali who was nothing short of extraordinary as she was the one who took care of us during our stay, to the amazing hostesses who always remembered us by our names at the Market and made our dine-in so special which include Ms. Gracia, Ms. Gita, the waiter Rozairo whose constant desire to quench our thirst and cravings, the wonderful chef at the food truck Shouhab who engages in delightful conversation while he carefully makes you a juicy sandwhich that makes you craving for more. Let us not forget Mustafa who was in charge of our table at the Palm beach restaurant and made our dine-in memorable and the bell boy and drivers Iyaan and Faizu who was always there to take us around and make us feel right at home. Joy Island is truly a destination that makes for unforgettable experiences, value for money, and thanks to the amazing staff who make it a sensational experience. Our stay at joy island was exceptional! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back, 10/10 for everything.

It was a great experience. All of the workers were professional and nice. They were helpful and respectful, especially Mr. Ashraf. The food was delicious and there was a good variety. The villa was clean and comfortable. The view from the villa was so nice. I highly recommend this resort.

I loved the resort but most importantly I loved the care the resort took for our overall stay. There was a representative awaiting us at our arrival who guided us, took our baggage and led us to the speedboat. The captain and assistants were just wonderful and kept checking to make sure our family was ok during the 45 minute speedboat ride to the hotel. Our arrival was simply something out of a storybook. We were greeted by Maldivian drummers and led to the reception where we were greeted with a welcome drink and juices for the kids. We were met by the Operations Manager and simply felt extremely welcomed. Our check in was completed in under 5 minutes. We arrived close to the end of dinner time and the staff showed concern and made sure we simply dropped our bags off in our room and headed to dinner. We had most of our meals at the Market which was their buffet. The buffet was well varied with a wonderful selection of salads, cold cuts, cheeses, vinaigrettes, fresh vegetable fruit, grilled meat, roasted chicken, lamb, sausages and seafood. There was soup, breads, curries and the desserts were tucked away in a beautiful room called the room of sin. The staff at the Market were just amazing from the hostesses who greeted us with their warm smiles each and every time. The waiters and waitresses who were always pleasant and inquired how we were enjoying our stay. I could not get all their names but each and every one made our stay special: the hostesses who led us to our table, the chef at the omelette station, the chef at waffle, pancake and crepe station, the waiters and waitresses. Everyone was amazing. The food was delicious and I strongly recommend that you try their Maldivian as we tried everything and loved it! The housekeeping is top notch as well. We stayed in Villas 130 and 132 and the gentleman who took care of our housekeeping was just incredible as our villas were left impeccable. This is no small feat considering we have children!

There is a lot that can be written about a Joy Island. However, all descriptions should certainly be positive. First of all, the entire service deserves the greatest appreciation, which makes this place even better and accessible to all guests. We would like to thanks a lot Ashraf, Jushann, Leeman and the entire team. They were the most helpful and smiling resort employees we've ever met on holidays in oure live. The location of the island itself is perfect, with easy transfer from the airport in Male. Transport time by speedboat is very affordable. For people who like diving and snorkeling, Joy is a very good base with short transfer times to several breathtaking places. The tideness of the entire resort / the island and the rooms itselves was at the highest level. There are a lot of good things we can say about the meals and dishes served in the restaurant. The quality and freshness of the dishes were at the highest level. Including the preparation of fish caught by myself, each dish was extremely tasty. The great advantages were the dishes prepared during every meal, as well as additional culinary attractions such as mozzarella and burrata made in the restaurant and various types of pasta. The greeting of guests and the farewell are also unique and they remain in oure memory for many days (we still thinking how to organise return journey to Joy). Considering all the positives, we can only recommend a trip to Joy for everyone who want to relax and entrust your special holiday time to the care of professionals.
