Villa River Edge

A wonderful villa in a beautiful riverside location. The garden is full of lush tropical plants, and you can see monkeys in the trees, birds, and squirrels all around, which makes the place feel very special and close to nature. Inside everything is very clean, and there is a kitchen where you can cook your own meals, which is very convenient. The host is extremely welcoming, kind, and always ready to help. We felt very well taken care of during our stay. A peaceful and charming place – highly recommended!

Our stay at villa river edge was great! We were a little unsure on the location to begin with due to being two female travellers however this was no problem at all. It is very easy to take a tuk tuk or scooter to town. The apartment is wonderfully spacious and clean, and the garden was a dream with the views and all the animals. Sahan really took care of us during our time there and was extremely lovely. Weligama can be a little full on at times but this apartment was a sanctuary. Thank you to Sahan, hope to see you again!

Maybe a sign on the road would help with the initial finding of the Villa. Everything else was very good!

This was such a great place for our holiday. The place is situated where it’s really peaceful and quiet, which is what we hoped for since we find Weligama quite busy with all the people and traffic. The garden is like an oasis! We slept very well in a comfy bed with nice pillows and classy sheets. Mr Sahan was really helpful with everything. He arranged dinner for us when we came, since it was quite late in the evening. He also arranged so we could rent a scooter during our whole stay and when we talked about going on safari, he was happy to help us to get to Udawalawe at an affordable price. We were so well taken cared of! And when we left we could check out later so we could spend the day at the beach before we left. Do notice that you might need a scooter or other vehicle to go to the beach or to the city center. It’s a really good place and they will surly do everything to make you feel welcomed and at home. Thank you guys for making our holiday the best.

Was clean and modern. Had everything we needed for a 5 night stay. The staff were really helpful. Location was slightly out of the main strip but meant it was peaceful. Really good place, would definitely stay here again.

Alles war ein einfach ein perfekter Aufenthal. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Большой просторный номер студия со всем необходимым. Свежий ремонт, еще доделывают по мелочи, но это совершенно не мешает комфортному размещению. Тишина и панорамный вид на двор и речку супер расслабляет, иногда не хотелось покидать номер. Есть стиральная машина во дворе, которой можно пользоваться.

Проводить уборку в номерах. Для нас это не было проблемой. Но для тех кому принципиальна ежедневная уборка будет не очень комфортно.

Perfectly equipped room, garden, close to the river, friendly owner, very silent location, but a little bit far from beach front - without bike can be a little far for walking, everything else is perfect

The area is quiet and in front of the river, may be a bit far from the beach if you don't like walking more than ten min, the view from the room is wonderful. Everything is new and very clean, the hot water and air conditioning work very well. There is a fridge kettle plates. They offer the possibility to get breakfast and the owner is always available if you need anything

I found this villa as a preferred place to stay in Weligama. New and modern interior, all facilities provided and works as expected. Then I have an issue with air-cond, it was fixed in the next 3 hours, the owner is very responsive to all your requests. Silent place a bit outside of the town. Great spot at the roof for Yoga. The kitchen is not for decoration, but for real cooking.

Great place to stay. Close enough to Weligama / Mirissa and the beaches but far from the trouble. The apartment is well equipped, spacious and clean, the garden with river views is lovely. Communication with the owners went flawlessly

The best stay we had in Sri Lanka! At first it was difficult for our TukTuk driver to find the Villa, but as soon as we got there we were in love. Remote area in the forest with palm tree garden to relax in the shadow, river up front. The appartment was the most modern und luxurios we have seen on the island. The Bathroom omg!!!!! Stayed for 5 nights and will definetly return? Also Sahan was really caring to look after us and our laundry and everything else.

Wonderful place managed by a family. Clean and tidy rooms, beautiful garden with lots of trees and nice river view. Even fruits and water was provided in the room. Theres a small kitchenette in the room equipped with a stove, toaster and kettle. owners were really kind and did everything to make my stay a pleasant one. I recommend this place to singles, couples and families. Suitable for a long stays too.

Modern room with ready to use kitchen, clean and bright, calm and independent area, nice and helpful staff

A/C took very long to cool the room, garden area looks still a little bit unfinished, could have a lot more potential (maybe hammocks, access to the river etc.)

ideal place for relaxing, enjoying the sounds of nature, watching the flowing of the river while sitting outdor in the garden or walking around in a jungle set. a great mix of functional design of the rooms with the surrounding green environment. owners of this property live nearby and have showed to be very kind and professional in their assistance to visitors.

the multiple barking of dogs from another property close by. i understand the issue will be eventually solved by the owners
