Pony Hof

Proper farm with all the sights, sounds and smells that come with that! Really welcoming owners who left lovely local treats for us. Easy drive to all the local attractions, comfy and spotless clean! Our kids loved seeing all the horses!!

Es war alles zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit! Alles hat tipptopp geklappt und die Vermieter waren überaus freundlich, nett, hilfsbereit und sympathisch!

Es war alles perfekt!

The apartment was clean and there was plenty of room in the bedroom and living room. The kitchen was small but fine. The A/C worked perfectly as it was a hot time of the year and farm animals are on the property. We kept the windows closed and there wasn't a farm smell to the place. The host was easy to contact, answered promptly, and left us eggs, milk, yogurt, butter, and bread. There were also Nespresso coffee pods for the coffee machine. We enjoyed our stay.

Google maps took us to the correct location, but it didn't look like the house in the picture. The side of the house pictured is not along the road. I posted pictures of what to look for. To get to the apartment, you have to open the gate which we are not used to opening someone's gate and entering their property. It's not a big deal but the towels must have been dried on a clothes line as they were crunchy feeling.

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole al Pony Hof. La posizione è semplicemente fantastica: immersa nella natura, con una splendida vista panoramica e circondata dai cavalli, che rendono l'atmosfera ancora più speciale. La tranquillità del luogo è impagabile, perfetta per rilassarsi e staccare dalla routine quotidiana. Il silenzio e la pace che si respirano sono stati uno degli aspetti che abbiamo apprezzato di più. Se cercate un posto immerso nel verde, lontano dal caos ma comunque comodo per visitare Thun e i dintorni, questa struttura è un'ottima scelta. Ci torneremmo volentieri!

Nulla di particolare. Essendo una struttura immersa nella natura e con i cavalli, è normale trovare qualche mosca in più, ma è un dettaglio assolutamente trascurabile rispetto alla bellezza e alla tranquillità del posto.

Man ist auf einem Pferdehof. Ok. Aber es ist schon heftig wenn Nachts die Pferde gegen Ihre Wände treten.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The farmhouse was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we had dreamed of staying in. The host was very kind, friendly, and always helpful whenever we needed assistance. The host also provides us bread, eggs, jam, cheese, milk. The location was great, with lovely views and a peaceful atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable countryside experience. Thank you for the hospitality!

La ubicación, la casa y el trato de los Martin y su esposa. Estuvieron muy atentos con nuestros hijos. Para mi hija que le gustan los caballos, era un sueño hecho realidad. Los obsequios que nos dejaron en la nevera para el desayuno estaban buenisimos. Y además tenían punto de carga para vehículo eléctrico.

Nada. Todo estuvo estupendo y esperamos poder repetir pronto.

Die Aufmerksamkeit der Gastgeber gegenüber ihren Gästen ist schon etwas besonderes insbesondere die "Leckereien " die man von den Gastgebern gratis in den Kühlschrank gelegt bekommt. Vielen Dank für diese außergewöhnliche Gastfreundlichkeit!

It’s a lovely building in the hills around Thun. We absolutely loved the peace and quiet and the friendliness. The property had everything you need and was a great and easy place to travel into Thun, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. Martin gifted us some wonderful local produce which was delicious :)

The location was excellent, and the host was very polite , nice, and supportive .they provide the guest card.

There was too much smell of horses shit and too much flies, if we opened our windows as it was summer ,hundreds of flies came inside the apartment, and it was very difficult to live in that situation. TV was old classical, not the smart TV. .

Beds were so comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Martin was a superb host. Prior to our arrival, he put eggs, jam, cheese, and milk in the fridge and fresh bread on the table. Amazing!

Landlord and cleanliness

The facilities were excellent, with clean beds, beautiful landscapes, and plenty of toys for kids. Martin, the friendly and attentive host, left fresh local jam, yogurt, and milk for us on arrival—so good that we bought more to take home! We also got free buses passes to travel to region covered by Thun pass.

Just a couple of suggestions: adding a toaster would be nice, and we had to close windows by 4 p.m. to avoid mosquitoes.Also It does require some travel to get to these popular spots like Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald.

A truly memorable experience staying at the Pony Hof. The place was clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The landscape surrounding the place is gorgeous. The host also left fresh bread, jam, cheese, and milk which was delicious!

Amazing place, from outside is looks like a farm house and from inside it has all the amenities.

Clean apatrment

Plenty of space for 4 people, breakfast food provided by the owner who also speaks good English, shop with local produce 50 m away, dogs are welcome, airconditioning in the living room.

Perhaps the smell from horses downstairs but it's countryside - it's to be expected. Location is a bit away from Grindelwald etc but for the price it's acceptable if you have a car.

Martin is the best host I have ever seen. Although it was not included, he left snacks, breakfast and a bottle of wine in the refrigerator for us, which was extremely thoughtful and polite. The village where the house is located is very beautiful. It is close to the town of Thun. The general cleanliness of the house was great. The communication of the owner was very good. We were very happy to stay in such a well-designed house. I hope to stay again on my next trip.

Comfortable beds, great kitchen, animals everywhere. I would highly recommend to anyone. It's a nice country escape, but has been remodeled to be a very clean and modern space. They also have an incredible and large DVD collection for movie nights.

Location was impressive.

There was lot of smell coming from the horse stable and food. Lot of cobwebs were around. Water from the shower was coming like a jet and hurting the body.

Our stay at Pony Hof was a delightful immersion into Swiss countryside living. Surrounded by a menagerie of animals and nestled in a picturesque neighborhood, our daughter reveled in the hands-on experience with chickens, horses, cows, sheep, rabbits and more. Mr. Martin, our gracious host, went above and beyond, stocking our fridge with an array of amenities including wine, cheese, and fresh fruits, and even providing complimentary bus passes for convenient exploration. Despite the odor from the nearby stables, the charming Swiss wooden chalet dating back to the 1760s provided a cozy and atmospheric retreat. Just a two-minute walk to the bus stop, Pony Hof offers the perfect blend of rustic charm, warm hospitality, and convenient access to explore the beauty of Switzerland.

The owner was accommodating. The property was quite far from the town proper but it offered a generally peaceful and scenic ambiance

Honestly, the horses' dung are quite smelly but we do understand since it is a farm house. And lastly, we hope that you could provide a microwave and the basic toiletries such as toothpaste and toothbrushes.

The host was wonderful and has a lot of farm animals. We were provided with bread, milk, eggs, jams etc. Definitely recommend to stay. Close to Innsbruck

Martin is a great host! The house is very well-equipped and Martin prepared a very nice breakfast with local products. He also gave us a tour to see all the horses that he have in his property. It was incredible.

Odor of horse manure outside but its okay and tolerable

Great location. The room is very spacious, well fitted kitchen en large comfy beds. The owners are helpful and very friendly and the price-quality is very good. Felt at home.

The location lacks a curtain for some windows. Would be nice to add. We always have nightmasks but nevertheless, would have been nice to have curtains for all windows.
