staff very friendly ,helpfull and the room super, very clean towel ..shower gel...soap tea/coffee etc....dining room good and breakfast brilliant and plenty of it.lady on my own and felt very safe
no dislikes, could not fault a thing
Ruime kamer, goed bed, fijne douche, prima ontbijt.
Location and friendly staff
Not the most modern but that’s ok
Staff were super helpful, Manager and also cleaner both were very sweet and helped/offered to carry some of our luggage up/down stairs. Will be back !
Polite staff, good welcome.😇🥰🥰
Shame the price does not adapt to a slightly cheaper range, and found it hard to contact the George direct.
Room was comfortable but cramped.
We stayed 2 nights, our room wasn’t cleaned or cups washed. Breakfast was poorly cooked and badly presented. On our second morning we were not informed breakfast finished at 9.30 am until we arrived at 9.45 am. Overall a very overpriced disappointing experience.
Very friendly staff
Les lits confortables Le petit dejeuner
Rien
Really friendly staff. Bedroom itself was a nice size and in a good easy to find location in the town.
Bathroom was a little shabby but for the price point really not a problem and would use again. Personally the bed and pillows were really hard so I didn't sleep at all. However, I won't mark it down for this as some people like hard beds it is just a personal thing.
Good location in centre of town
Nothing, apart from not a great view of a car park from our bedroom window
Convienantly situated, good transport links, and all very friendly. Very comfortable, good cooked breakfast.
Later in the evening there was a bit of noisy, rowdy behaviour below guest window. Down the alleyway.
Had a lovely stay here .Staff so friendly and welcoming . Comfortable room nice touch was the fan in such warm weather. The breakfast was amazing all cooked fresh. We have stayed here a few times and would highly recommend for a reasonably priced stay
Staff breakfast room location
Wifi not good
Nice room, seemed quiet, helpful staff. Unfortunately we had to leave early but no issues at all
breakfast was good
parking was a bit awkward and not easy to get to
Central location in town, close to car park and shops. Clean room, comfortable bed and large walk in shower. Great Wi-Fi connection. Freshly cooked breakfast served very hot, choice of coffee. Helpful and accommodating staff.
Steep stairs to all rooms - old coaching inn so couldn’t be avoided. Not suitable for disabled travellers and this should be stated before booking. Stair bannister rails both sides of stairs useful but still very difficult to get myself and luggage up to the first floor room. A few points for improvement to consider, one ask if anyone needs assistance when checking in, the stair hand rails and carpets needed cleaning - handrails and Newel post were grubby and needed painting. Breakfast room/restaurant, hallway to toilets spoilt as it’s become a bit of a dumping ground and untidy, needs a tidy up and general declutter. Things such as paint pots, mop/bucket, hoovers left out. I’ve stayed a few times and the same things are left on view.
lovely clean room and bedding breakfast was lovely and the staff friendly 👍
The bed and bathroom.
The entrance door, stairs, corridor and room were all tatty and in need of redecorating and cleaning. Net curtains were awful, huge wholes. Breakfast short of milk, sausages, mushrooms over our stay and no fruit, as on menu, at all.
lovely hotel
La proprietaria super friendly, gentile e disponibile. Ci siamo fermati qui in viaggio da Londra verso la Cornovaglia con un bimbo di 2 anni e abbiamo avuto un'accoglienza perfetta. Camera pulita e spaziosa. Colazione buonissima
Troppo rumore del traffico automobilistico
Pleasant hotel and staff Rooms small and basic. Good and very clean and crisp bedding. No hot water for the first 24 hours. Needs a good sort out and refurbishment and some management. We would not return, our friends would not even enter the breakfast room ( pub ) The breakfast was good. But the breakfast room could be much nicer. Felt like we’d gone back 30-40 years. Cheerful and pleasant staff.
Extremely friendly and clean
The stairs to the bedrooms were extremely steep and probably not suitable for many older customers
Good value hotel in the heart of crewkerne, nice breakfast and good sized room, and parking was inexpensive nearby.
Hotel room was a bit tired and could have done with a fresh coat of paint and new flooring particularly in the bathroom.
Food was fine .bed linen clean.
Cleanliness to be looked at especially outside the hotel and dining room.curtains in bedroom had alot of tears.in general it needs a whole update as people today expect more.
It was perfect, I was well looked after, the staff were very professional..
The only thing I can think of that i found a little difficult was getting out of the bath after having a shower, there was nothing to get hold of..
It had character and charm. The bathroom was a good size and suitable. The bed was clean and comfortable.
I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like.
It was very friendly, we had a clean bedroom and the breakfast was lovely.
The stairs to the room
Lovely period coaching house in good location
Location Hotel has old world character Good breakfast. Friendly personnel
Bed has very sharp wooden corner TV remote did not work!
The George does not do a buffet breakfast. The orange juice and similar are available but one must individually order the main part (eg Full English) and also coffee or tea. This does not pose a problem but one should allow a bit of time ie; no rush. It is only available after 0800 which can be too late for the travel needs. Apparently it was coaching inn originally which explains its structure. Rooms are large for the price and comfortable. The staff are excellent and helpful. It is also a pub so one can have a restful evening drink. There is a Lidl a few meters away which can also be useful.
Only stairs to rooms.
Very clean and tidy
Nothing
The room was really nice clean and fresh with a really comfortable bed
The parking
Good night sleep, quality room fittings, clean rooms, tasty brekky. Professional staff.
Bathroom slightly warm but i think the hot water pipes are routed beneath the floor
Nice room opposite the George,so it was quiet.Breakfast was very good, you are right in the centre for shopping. Thanks to Leanne for making our stay so enjoyable.
convince
dated tired
The bed was amazing
No air-conditioning
Great location in very centre, lack of car park was an issue.Great breakfast clean room
No where to give key in when leaving, main building was locked
Hotel in the middle of town so very convenient
We thought we would eat in the hotel that evening but when we went to the restaurant we saw the notice restaurant closed because of staff shortage. Very disappointed.
Nice and helpful staff
I stayed two nights and my room was not made up in between. It was also noisy the second evening because of the pub customers in the courtyard.
Lovely room ,breakfast was great ,problem with tv but sorted out by staff
Stairs, I am retired and disabled so they were an effort but its a 500 year old building
Near to all facilities and town centre
Big spacious rooms and comfortable bed
The staff were brilliant. Really friendly and accommodating. I had low expectations of the breakfast after seeing the room but was pleasantly surprised. Really lovely even if the coffee machine broke halfway through service.
The room was tired and a little grubby. The noise from the pub went on well last 1am. The hairdryer was broken.
Het ontbijt.
Staff were super friendly and breakfast was really good.
Comfy bar open from 12 noon, and right in the middle of Crewkerne.
Room was clean. Bed comfortable.
Decor tired. Entrance was worn. Bit smelly and unclean. Bathroom floor, old and tired. Bath chipped and old. Breakfast was not great - it all felt very budget.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very nice as well Room had a good size, bed was comfy
On our way to our room (which was the last) we passed a lot of stairs and other corridors. In one of these, there was a lot of clutted stuff lying around, bags, clothing, dismantled furniture etc, with dirty socks lying on the stairs. Made not the best impression. Our room however was quite clean.
Das Zimmer war wirklich sehr hübsch und ruhig! Essen im Hauptgebäude ist prima. Über den Hof ging es zu einer kleinen, hübschen Einkaufstraße.
Parken etwas beschwerlich!
staff
parking, dated
Room was nice and good value for money. Breakfast was basic but cooked to order and tasted good.
Bathroom had a slight drain smell which was unpleasant. Local bar was very loud and disrupted sleep but not the pub I was staying at.
le style de l'hôtel le petit déjeuner le dîner la gentillesse de la propriétaire
un des réceptionnistes étaient particulièrement désagréable
Good location
It was shabby and considering that it was the beginning of the season there had been no attempt to clean and refresh the paintwork where necessary. The shower handle would not stay upright and resulted in the bathroom being flooded because it had to be propped up against the wall. The staff knew about this fault but no maintenance had been done. There were no glasses in the room for nighttime use. There was only one bedside lamp.
Old fashioned and a bit quirky. I like thatNice to have a full bathtub. Quiet location at bedtime. Full English Breakfast very good
My room floor was uneven, and the fire doors were the heaviest I have ever encountered.
Love the facade and the breakfast
No parking and a bit noisy, although that can be expected for a centre.
Superb breakfast Very clean room, helpful staff.
No Parking so you need to get there early to find either an on-road slot or one in the car parks.
Close to town centre room was comfortable and staff excellent
Nothing
The location was great for us as we were meeting friends. The food was good, we had an evening meal and breakfast.
Staff member was a little standoffish.
Lovely old coaching inn. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room pleasantly decorated. The bathroom was clean with fluffy towels and toiletries. There was tea and coffee and milk in the room. Our evening meal and breakfast were good
All good.
Lovely and friendly we arrived very late but they waited for us to arrive.
Nothing. Enjoyed our short stay room was lovely comfortable and clean, staff were amazing for was lovely Booking.com was the only problem
Room 10mnear the garden / supermarket very noisy first thing
I made an overnight stop on the way to the West Country..The staff were exceeding friendly and worked hard to make me feel welcome. The cooked breakfast was excellent. Room was very clean. Would definitely stay here again. Great value for money.
For the price, I could not fault it.
Convenient location. Very good value. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

All was fine
Staff always welcoming and friendly
Staff were really nice and shower room was obviously new. Decor was clean and well maintained. Bed was a bit soft for me. Also right in middle of Crewkerne . Very good home cooked breakfast
Bar was noisy
The room was comfortable and unique. The old building had querky features, steep stairways and uneven floors etc, that gave it personality. Thank you for not taking all of that history away with a corporate make-over.
Weekday breakfast was served from 8am at the earliest, and took a long time to be ordered, cooked and served. This meant I was late for my work day, which wasn't a good look for my business.
Clean rooms and bathroom, excellent cooked breakfast, helpful staff made the stay pleasant.
The location was perfect, the staff friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent because it was tasty and hot.
Nothing
Good breakfast
The hotel is not clearly named
The building looks ok in the photos
It was very tired and shabby
