La ubicación a 5 minutos de jemaa l'fna caminando. Nos teníamos que ir al aeropuerto a las 5 de la mañana y nos dejó preparado una bolsa de desayuno en la nevera. Amables. Ninguna queja, la verdad.

The room is about 45+ degrees at night because that's just how the building is designed and the climate, but there is only 1 fan provided for 3 beds. It would be inexpensive and well worth it to get 2 more fans. Wasn't comfortable because cleaning was constant. They also seem to use about 8x the amount of cleaning products necessary so there is often a strong chemical stench. The weirdest thing for me was one day I came back and couldn't find my laundry bag. It turns out someone had actually taken it upon themselves to open my backpack and put the laundry bag inside. This was too much. Never has my bag been opened in a hostel. To clarify, my stuff wasn't spread out either. I had one luggage against the wall with my packing cubes stacked neatly on top, my vitamins and toiletries on the nightstand, and under the bed I placed my backpack so it was out of the way and my laundry bag was on top of it.

C'était vraiment l'une de mes meilleures expériences à Marrakech. Situé en plein cœur de la médina, à deux pas de la place Jemaa el-Fna, ce riad m'a permis de rencontrer des gens charmants venus du monde entier. Nous avons vécu comme une famille, dans une ambiance typiquement marrakchie. Un grand merci à M. Ayoub, d'une gentillesse et d'une serviabilité exceptionnelles. J'y ai trouvé tout ce dont j'avais besoin : sécurité, wifi, climatisation… et un riad impeccable que je recommande à tous ceux qui souhaitent passer un excellent séjour à Marrakech.

Breakfast was excellent (by far the best I’ve had) and the staff were very kind. The owner does his best to keep the property as clean as possible. He has a tad bit of OCD type tendencies and, at face value, the hostel seemed very clean. The location is adequately placed in the main tourist areas. The four bedroom dorm has AC, which is a huge plus in the summer.

I woke up with over 40 bed bug bites. The owner kept saying over and over again that I must have brought them from Merzouga (the desert), which is known for having bed bugs. However, I found them in two beds in the four bed dormitory, which were on opposite sides of the room and 40+ bed bug bites had to have come from at least 12 bed bugs, as they only feed around three times per night. I couldn’t imaging bringing 12 bed bugs with me and them scattering across the room in one night. Another guest, who is a tour guide in Morocco agreed with me and says it is very common for Moroccan hostels to have them. So a lesson learned: always check for bed bugs on your hostel stays here.

Close enough to the Medina

Facility: -Overcrowded & Cramped: The hostel is very small and cluttered, featuring multiple shared rooms squeezed right next to a small common area. -Poor Climate Control: There is no air conditioning in the rooms, making it unbearable during the summer. -Noise Levels: The common areas are constantly loud and chaotic. Inadequate Bathrooms: Only 2 bathrooms (and just 1 shower) for over 10 guests, leading to long waits. Uncomfortable Surroundings: While within walking distance of the Medina, the immediate area feels tense and chaotic. Groups constantly gather right outside the front entrance, staring at guests as they enter and exit. Hazardous Access: Reaching the Medina requires navigating major roads with dangerous, erratic traffic. Staff & Host: -Unfriendly & Hostile: The staff and owner were completely unhelpful and rude. -Major Safety/Access Issue: The owner locked the front door during the day without providing guests the correct keypad code. When I called for assistance, he refused to help or come down, even though he was inside. After calling repeatedly, he yelled at me, claiming he had "better things to do" than let guests in.

We had an awesome experience in this riad. It was clean, and organised. The private rooms are simple but comfortable. One is slightly bigger than the other but both have air conditioning and clean facilities. Our priority was cleanliness, so it was a big relief staying in this riad. The bed and towels smelt clean. We saw the building getting clean so many times. Once or twice we had to wait outside some seconds while it was being cleaned, which was a very good problem to have 😂 The breakfast was nice, and safe. Most importantly, Ayoub, the host, is very kind and available. We always felt very welcomed. If you ever come to this riad, make sure you get to know him!

Me siento como en casa, el personal es muy amable y vuelvo cada vez aquí.

Aprecié la sencillez, la tranquilidad tanto mental como física, la cálida bienvenida de Reda y Ali, y la armonía y camaradería entre los demás clientes, que hablaban diferentes idiomas y provenían de distintas culturas. La ubicación también es excelente porque está cerca de la ciudad y de casi todo lo que puedas desear. Muchas Gracias Ali por tu maravillosa compañía.

Super bien situé, à 2 pas de la grande place. Endroit super propre, mais désuet au niveau de l’équipement. L’endroit a visiblement besoin d’être rafraîchi. La terrasse est jolie, et non-fumeur, un atout. Propriétaire très gentil, qui nous a préparé un petit lunch à emporter puisque nous avons quitté à 5 heures du matin pour l’aéroport.

Gostei de tudo. Esse hostel é ótimo e muito, muito bem limpo todos os dias. Sempre fico preocupada em encontrar baratas, aranhas e outros bichos quando fico em hostel, mas, é impossível ter qualquer coisa no Riad Dar Sahrawi pq eles lavam com água e sabão tudo o que você puder imaginar. Suspendem tapetes, móveis, trocam roupa de cama diariamente, é absolutamente incrível. Quando chegamos cansados no fim do dia, o quarto está fresquinho e cheiroso. Nossos calçados ficam na entrada e eles oferecem chinelos limpos para que usemos dentro do Riad. Banheiros: o de baixo é ótimo, mas não tem mta pressão de água no chuveiro. Os de cima tem ótima pressão, mas precisa melhorar na estrutura (colocar um banco ou cadeira para que possamos apoiar as coisas, por exemplo) e ambos estavam com um cheiro ruim bem forte nos dias em que estive lá. Acredito que o mau cheiro seja de esgoto, pois o espaço estava bem limpinho. Café da manhã: delicioso e preparado por uma moça queridíssima. Ela não falava inglês, mas fazia questão de se comunicar comigo e era muito atenciosa. Tudo o que era oferecido estava bem fresquinho. O hostel é muito silencioso durante todo o dia e a noite não se ouve nenhum som. É perfeito para quem tem sono leve. Localização: perfeita. Não usei táxi nenhuma vez, fiz tudo a pé ou de ônibus da cidade.

Banheiros do andar de cima têm um cheiro forte que acredito vir da rua/encanamento. Investir em ventiladores para todos os quartos, sem que haja necessidade de fazer rodízio entre os quartos.

老板太可爱了，估计有洁癖和强迫症（褒义）一整天不停地在做卫生。从大厅到客厅到厨房，你看到他的时候不是在扫地就是在拖地。可见这家青旅有多干净整洁了。东西摆件都是对齐的，看着很舒服，本身的装修品味也很好。很舒服的入住体验。

The host Ayoub is superb and very friendly, the raid itself is in a very good location close to the center. Lovely breakfast in the morning as well.Very clean place to stay as the host ensures its stays clean always. It’s a good value for money and I will highly recommend.

I’ve stayed in many hostels across Europe, but this is the first time I truly felt at home in a hostel. The owner of the riad, Eyyoub, is incredibly helpful and treats every guest not as a customer, but as a genuine visitor in his home. The riad is very clean, the rooms are cleaned daily, and guests are provided with slippers since shoes are not allowed inside, which helps keep everything spotless. The breakfast is excellent, and Eyyoub is always available to help with any questions or problems, doing his best to find solutions. He even helped me organize a day trip to Essaouira. If you are traveling solo and would like to meet new people, this is a fantastic place with a warm, family-like atmosphere where you can feel comfortable and welcomed. The location is also excellent, within walking distance of Jemaa el-Fnaa and close to everything in the city center. I highly recommend staying here, and if I visit again, this will definitely be my first choice. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was one of the best accommodations of my entire trip to Morocco! The staff were incredibly kind, and the atmosphere of the place is wonderful. It’s also perfectly located. Ayoub went out of his way for me, I was tired after coming from Toubkal, and he provided me a free towel to shower and also made me breakfast before the scheduled time, so that I could take it with me to the airport without being late. This is better service than I have received from 5-Star Hotels. I will come back to Marrakech just to stay here again! Toilets/Bathroom super clean, you would think it's for yourself and not a hostel. It isn't right in the centre of the Medina so I think the people booking here are slightly more relaxed which can be good depending what vibe you want from the hostel. For me it was good :) Amazing value for money! And mostly the friendliness of the staff, not just Ayoub but another Man who was doing some cleaning chores (I didn't get his name) provided me with a mat/rug so that I could pray on the rooftop which was clean and has a great view of course. Any service you need is provided here.

Communication was consistent and quick if I needed to ask a question or organise anything. Ayoub and his team were all super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great time exploring Marrakesh and helped with planing my travels around other parts of Morocco, often packing my breakfast if I needed to leave early that day. Cleaning was very thorough and constant especially since facilities are shared and everyday I came back and my bed was made up neatly! I would definitely recommend especially as a solo female traveller, was nice being around others during communal breakfast and discussing recommendations/itineraries. There’s a reason the hostel is rated so highly! Thank you so much!

The female dorm is along the entrance so when people came in from outside or were talking in the communal areas late at night I could easily hear but didn’t prevent me from sleeping

The owners/managers really care about keeping the floors clean and have "house" slippers for everyone. Breakfast included one or two types of pan-cooked bread served high-quality peanut butter and jam for dipping as well as a fried egg. I appreciated that there were bedside lockers in the shared room I stayed in. No complaints about the shared room. Location is very, very close to Jemaa el-Fnaa central market. There is also a taxi stage just downstairs/at the entrance of the hostel but I primarily used motorbikes to get around. I appreciated the hospitality of the owners!

The showers could be better maintained. One day there was hot water but the next day there was none. I wish breakfast could be served a bit earlier if specially requested.

The staff is very guest-oriented. They arranged my transfer from the airport even though my flight arrived at 1 a.m. The location is very convenient, riad is extremely clean, and the rooftop gathering area is beautiful. Also Ahmed somehow has all the answers to my questions :)

As a coffee junkie, I would have preferred coffee with breakfast instead of tea, but I understand it’s not part of Moroccan culture 😔
