Nothing except that the adjacent property had some construction going on during our stay and it was very loud all day long.

A beautiful non commercial peice of Barbados so relaxing. The villa was beautifully presented and clean and the staff where so helpfull.

It is quite out of the way so I think there should be a options to buy some basics at the villa water & snacks

West Rock Villas were perfectly described and well situated with sea view and a 5 minute drive to nearest beach. The 2 bed villa was beautifully decorated and well equipped, great aircon and fans in bedrooms only ceiling fan in living room ( villa 3, think others may have aircon and worth doing) communal pool and super chairs with cushions, everywhere very clean, great team to look after you and all round a great place to stay. Had a car and it is certainly a good idea.

Quiet, spacious villa's. Very nice starting point to discover the island! Nice pool. Easy communication with manager Lashae (thank you!). Food & drink: The Deck is within walking distance; Lashae tipped Café Carizma in Holetown for breakfast. We'd like to tip Nishi for a special dinner. Massy supermarket has got all you need for food and drink to take back to the villa.

Some broken mosquito netting on windows in our villa but was much better on other villas. With a car: beware of lots of traffic down the hill in the morning and along the coast almost the whole day (at least during high season and ofcourse of no fault of the villas)

Lovely design and sea views ..

There was heavy construction work in the adjacent property.. causing noise and nuisance to the enjoyment of the property and pool .. construction work on their property as new villas and office being completed.. no warning of any of this … not happy and would not recommend and will review on trip advisor as such.. fridge didn’t operate well .. food went off .. TV didn’t work and no instruction booklets for any of the appliances..

Villa was well designed and constructed. Interior was bright, comfortable and tastefully decorated.

Although we used the pool every day, we found it a little underwhelming. The toilet was lacking a mirror etc

Very clean and modern. Villa is very comfortable , nicely furnished and has all the necessary for self catering. It has a very good communial pool and loungers . The atmosphere was very relaxing You do need a car staying here to get around but saying that we used a very local cab driver who was on hand both day and evening.

The villa was well appointed, had everything you would need, it was modern, clean and comfy. Paul the host was very nice, he was very helpful and generous with his time, always willing to help or lend a hand. Would recommend.

The villas have been crafted with care and attention to detail - providing a comfortable, luxury stay that feels like home away from home. Everything has been impeccably maintained. Our time at West Rock was delightful in every way.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the villas. The location is a lovely residential area, but this means that you either need a car to get around or you can use local taxi services

Paul the owner/ manager of the property was there to meet us when we arrived even though it was circa 9.30pm he was very helpful

Gorgeous accommodation, I'm suitably jealous of the owners and everyone who gets to stay there after us. So much space to relax. The description and reviews emphasise that a car is recommended, and I can understand why that would be true for many, but we prefer to walk everywhere (and use public /taxis) and it was all good from our perspective, eg 7 mins walk home after a drink and food at the Deck, and 40 mins from Holetown and some fab gift shops and bars. The recommended taxi service was also good value. Buses good fun. Paul, one half of the owner couple, kindly offered us lifts - we declined in favour of walking but were grateful for the offer. Only reason for 9/10 is not in the gift of the owners: we found the South East of the island to be better value for accommodation and other costs, and even more walk friendly re proximity. Otherwise if you want to stay in the West, 10/10. Lovely stuff.

The Villa was everything we could have asked for and perfectly described. Paul couldn’t have been more helpful. Would recommend getting a car.

What a beautiful property! Very classy furnishings, everything you would need is catered for. Absolutely spotless. But for me, the porch with direct access to stunning views and local wildlife just made it pure heaven for me. The morning to afternoon movement of monkeys were a joy to behold! Firefly’s in the adjoining fields in the evening - just magical.

I truly cannot say there was anything lacking or wanting. Lovely touch of a Christmas welcome card to me and my daughter and bottle of bubbly upon arrival. Water in the fridge.

Fantastic property in a great location close to Holetown. Our host, Paul, was really friendly and helpful. The property was really clean and stylish and had all amenities needed. It was very quiet with beautiful views and wildlife. The beach within walking distance was beautiful too. Would definitely stay again.

We were impressed by this stylish holiday house from the moment we arrived. Paul, the lovely owner met us, made us feel welcome, and showed us round and we settled in very quickly. We really liked the layout of the house, with two very comfortable, spacious bedrooms, with soft towels and lovely linen. Great kitchen and living area, both very well equipped. The kitchen utensils were great quality and had everything we needed, including super sharp knives which made food prep super easy. We spent a lot of time at the property as it was so relaxing with a beautiful view, a short drive from the sea, and town of Holetown, which had a great supermarket. A car is recommended. The air conditioning kept the bedrooms lovely and cool and was very quiet, with a lovely breeze keeping the rest of the house cool. Good wifi and satellite TV. We would absolutely recommend West Rock Villas as a superb, self catering holiday destination.

West Rock Villas is an exceptional choice in Barbados, comfortably surpassing any accommodation we've experienced on previous visits. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Paul, setting the tone for a stay marked by comfort and privacy. The villa itself, with its immaculate interiors and stunning ocean views, is beautifully furnished— including a supremely comfortable four-poster bed that ensured a perfect sleep every night. The considered layout of the villas and landscaping guarantees complete privacy, with each terrace secluded from any other guests. Adding to the charm are the surroundings rich in wildlife and a pool that, to our delight, we had to ourselves, basking in sunlight each day. The location is fantastic, a short trip into Holetown and the beautiful beaches along the West Coast. There is a footpath leading directly from the villas to the beachfront in around 7-8 minutes, for those who prefer to walk. Paul was an excellent host, always available if we needed anything, yet ensuring we had complete privacy. His attentive yet unobtrusive approach aligns perfectly with the relaxing atmosphere at the villas, contributing to a peaceful and undisturbed experience throughout our stay. I thoroughly recommend West Rock Villas and look forward to visiting again soon.

Incredibly clean, fresh and stylish interior. Peaceful and convenient location. A dressing table! With mirror, lighting and plugs virtually unheard of even in great hotels!! Stacy the housekeeper is so helpful as are hosts, we will be back, it’s beautiful.

Although a lovely location but unless you have a car it was almost impossible to find somewhere in the evening to find somewhere to eat as it is too far to walk at night and quite a tasking walk to the beach and back during the day.

We had the most wonderful 8 day stay at West Rock. It was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful island of Barbados. Really well equipped, super comfortable bed, lovely linen, great shower pressure and a fabulous view from the veranda. A gorgeous beach only a 10 minute walk away. Stacey was fantastic, she gave us really useful info including supermarket opening times, restaurant suggestions, transport options.

One little thing is unless you are quite small you may find the bath towels a little revealing…

The property looks like the photo , we stayed in no8. The attention to detail and the interior design was excellent , lovely setting.

Going home

Loved the two little dogs who came and visited everyday and all the other wildlife. The proximity to Quantum gym, literally 5 min walk down the road pretty much had it to ourselves. The path by side of villas which made an easy walking loop down to beach. The staff were lovely.

Wi-Fi router right at head of bed js a bit worrying. I don’t think the price point is appropriate but it is slim pickings in Barbados.

We absolutely loved our stay at West Rock Villas! The location is perfect, literally a 2 minute drive to the nearest beach (you can also walk there easily) and surrounded by amazing bays and restaurants. The Villas are so clean and private. Couldn’t fault them. They feel really luxurious, perfect location, very well equipped, sea views - everything you could want! Paul was fab, always on hand if we had any questions / needed any advice. We were also able to secure late checkout which was super helpful with our flight not being until late afternoon. Highly recommend staying here and we for sure will be back!!! Thanks so much Paul.

Lovely villas in an excellent location. Paul was always there to help. We hired a car as it makes it much easier to get to the beaches and other locations on the island.

Wonderful location nestled between Sugar Hill and Westmorelands, surrounded by tranquility. Villas had everything we needed including robes, a personal favourite. Our host Paul was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We loved being surrounded by nature and were thrilled to be visited by the local monkeys. I would recommend a car and would certainly recommend a visit to The Deck at Sugar Hill next door, a short 8-10 walk. The pool area was well maintained and never busy although most of the Villas were occupied. A truly relaxing stay and would love to stay again. Highly recommend. Check out their website. Loved loved ‘West Rock Villas’! …We have been visiting Barbados for over 30 years and up to now have always stayed in hotels but this year we decided to be alittle more adventurous staying self catering at the ‘West Rock Villas’ there are 6 properties at the moment, 4 one bedroom and 2 two bedroom villas of traditional Barbadian ‘Chattel’ house design these villas are very unique in design both on the exterior and interior having a great location on the area of ‘Westmoreland’, immediately adjacent to the ‘Sugar Hill’ resort which has a great restaurant ‘The Deck’ only a 10 minute walk uphill from the villas, we had brunch on the Saturday served 11-4pm it was delicious and the service was excellent with great views, they have happy hour most evenings too. Before booking West Rock Villas I did my research and read all the reviews and the villa certainly lived up to expectations. I had great communications with Brontë the daughter of the owners before our visit, she answered all my questions/concerns in a very informative friendly manner. On arrival we were greeted by the owner/host Paul who showed us into the villa earlier then the normal check-in time which we very much appreciated. Paul was an excellent host, he couldn’t do enough for during our 6 night stay always asking us if everything was okay. Paul gave us lots of tips and advice including the less than 10 minute walk down a track at the side of the villas to the coast road (sensible footwear required and I wouldn’t use this if it was wet or in the dark but we didn’t have a car so was great for us) which we took advantage of most days catching the local yellow buses to Holetown and Speightstown and many lovely beaches including Reid’s/ Gibbs/Thunder Bay/Mullins and Ciccos beach only a 10 minute walk along the coast road from the track. I would also recommend the beach club at Calma beach bar in Holetown. We had the two bedroom Villa (number 4) it had every amenity you could wish for….

Nice, clean and comfortable. Quiet location and nice pool area. Whilst you can walk to Holetown and the beach, it’s worth getting a car to get around.

Our Villa had a terrace which was very peaceful with lovely views. We had the swimming pool pretty much to ourselves and Trisha, the local manager,was superb. She looked after us really well, sorting out any issues and making lots of great recommendations.

The villas are decked out completely in IKEA - so fairly flimsy; They are obviously done in the cheapest way possible. For the price, we expected more. They should have up to date information and manuals for appliances. we had a one bedroom Villa and it was smaller than we expected. You can walk down to the main road but it would be advisable to have a car.
