One of my favorite hotels to stay in whilst travelling for business in the area. Vey quiet and relaxing with excellent facilities.
Close proximity to where i needed to go

The building is fascinating and seconds from the historic Epping forest
A beautiful stay in what felt like a country setting despite being in London. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had great options and really lovely experience in and of itself.

A beautiful stay in what felt like a country setting despite being in London. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had great options and really lovely experience in and of itself.
There was quite a lot of noise in the room at night from the bar downstairs, and the vents were also quite loud unfortunately. The room was super comfortable and it didn't impact the quality of our stay, but just something to note.
Friendly staff and great spot to head over to Tottenham stadium
Chipped mug on breakfast but it was replaced very swiftly
Such comfortable bedding and beds! Beautiful bathrooms and accessories.
This is a wonderful hotel and nigh on perfect. An old fashioned radio playing classic FM as I entered the room really set the scene. Complimentary treats and water and an amazing snug room. Lovely food and staff and a stunning building.

Lovely area
Asked for milk for my baby but never got it
Lovely chilled place to visit and stay - the food was delicious and the staff were amazing
The only thing which could be improved I know a bit cheeky but as our car is electric we had a bit of a nightmare charging it so a charging point would be great!!!
Lovely breakfast. Great service.
No lift.
Location in una foresta spettacolare ,l'Inn è molto bello con camere grandi ed accoglienti
Really welcoming staff and friendly service. Lovely building, clean and comfortable accommodation. Well maintained and great decor. We loved our room, it was 'snug' but not small. Lovely touch with the little chocolates and the dog beds and treats. Lots of parking avaliable. Really lovely area and location too. We loved it!
Hard to find anything we didn't like, thought the accommodation was great. Perhaps the bathroom sink was a little small, and the bedroom window didn't have one we could open to let fresh air in. But that's it really, we would 100% stay again.
We did not have breakfast, the location is excellent and convenient
The room could have been a little larger and the coffee machine easier to use.
It was lovely authentic and clean . Also everything we needed and very comfortable bed. Will definitely return
The stairs is our only complaint.
The location and the room we booked called Luxe Room was beautiful. The restaurant was busy and vibrant too
Breakfast is until 10 am far is too early . I paid £25 for late check out till 12 . As we had an event we attended locally the night before . But in the morning The cleaner banged and crashed so much so , that we couldn’t sleep past 9.30 . This was so inconsiderate I thought as we had the do not disturb sign on the door obviously indicating we were asleep . She must’ve slammed the door next to ours 20 times as she was in and out changing sheets and replacing towels and banging the vacuum hoover hard against the wall and skirting boards . This really put me off .
Lots of lovely touches such as “proper” milk and chocolates in a bell glass dome. Staff were very helpful and the snug room (small but perfectly formed) met our needs. Surrounded by forest it was brilliant to walk out in a morning and walk the dog in such gorgeous surroundings
No parking space, had to drive across the road and pay, also meant I could have a drink after travelling 200 miles as I would have to have the car when a space became available
Everything.

I like that they kept the original features
Located just outside Epping Forest and a short walk from Chingford Station (with sidewalk available the whole distance), the location is quite nice. Updated inside and out, it is quite attractive, while maintaining classic features. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was modern. The restaurant and bar are sizeable and seem popular with locals, which I think is a good sign, and we enjoyed our meal there. A number of tables are available outdoors as well. The card-key security system is effective at admitting only guests to the residence area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good, daily housekeeping. Nice coffee maker.
It is a 3-story building with no lift, and hauling our luggage up the flights of stairs was a chore. The air conditioning was welcome, but seemed barely able to keep up with demand. It is on a busy road, somewhat marring the otherwise idyllic setting.
It was comfortable
The staff were excellent, particularly Katie in front of house who went over and above to make my unexpected overnight stay comfortable by sourcing toiletries and had a superb and professional attitude, and Debbie in the restaurant was very attentive and delivered great service with a friendly demeanour.
Property is dated, could do with an overhaul of fixtures and furnishings but it was comfortable and very clean.
Location and interior design suited the building
The room we stayed in the bed was only accessible at one side
The charm of the building and welcoming staff.
The breakfast was slow being bought out and the poached eggs were cold. It looked as though they had been cooked sometime before and not fresh.
Well appointed room. Comfy bed. Good shower. Mini fridge in room with complimentary water. Welcome macaroons and other small cakes on arrival. Kettle and coffee machine with real milk. We had a nice meal in the pub restaurant on our first night
Hotel side of building was separated by doors that could only be opened with a key card one received on arrival. I may not have read the parking signs correctly, but I put my registration in the first tablet I came to. That was inside the pub because you couldn’t enter the hotel without a key card. There was a separate tablet to register your car in the hotel side, but I did not think to re register. It was only the next day, that I read the car park sign and realised my mistake. Staff were very helpful and registered my car as a hotel guest, but I can anticipate a parking charge. Hopefully they will sort that out for me too.
Absolutely awful Customer service Shockingly bad
Customer service was absolutely awful
Fantastic location. The building itself was ever so impressive, exquisite decor throughout and comfy beds. The room was impeccable, exactly what was on the photo without any nasty surprises . Couldn’t have asked for a cleaner room , slept very soundly indeed.
Hard to describe this one but the staff came across more as fantastic pub staff than hotel staff it felt , so the welcome and checkout was ever so slightly abrupt. I think a little bit more of a welcome and a bit of a chat around what we thought of the experience would have gone a long way .. That said, they were truly lovely people though , especially the waitress we had
The breakfast was fine, but only one small cup of coffee included in the price was insufficient and a rip off.
Milk in the room was off. No electric car charger at the hotel.
The hotel is beautiful and in a lovely location. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my disability in many ways, and were also so helpful in things such as explaining how best to get back to the hotel after an event at Tottenham Stadium. I’d highly recommend staying here, you won’t regret it!
Absolutely nothing, it was all wonderful.
The location and the bedrooms had aircon
The toilet in the bathroom was very close to the door. Bathroom didn’t appear to have ventilation so was very hot, even when we were only having cold showers due to the heatwave.
The staff welcomed us really nicely. Our room was really comfortable and lovely, they even gave us a little selection of chocolates in our room. Great shower!
Situated in a very quiet area of east London. A quaint inn with beautiful decor. The room was spacious and well set out.
I wish I could have stayed longer.
Friendly staff, nicely decorated bedroom, lovely building. Tea and coffee making facilities were good and with actual milk, don't usually get thst anywhere. Air con was very much appreciated, with it being 30 degrees outside. We would certainly stay again. Free on site parking helped a lot.
Room was quite small, we had a comfy room. Nicely laid out but just one narrow space between end of the bed and bathroom wall, but its an old building.
Breakfast not included
Beautiful hotel, great parking, lovely staff. The room was beautifully decorated, had a good Aircon and a nice bathroom with a brilliant shower. I was at the front of the hotel but it was still very quiet at night.
Quite a long walk to my room, might be an issue for others.
Det var pænt indrettet, som gav en god stemning
Man kunne ikke åbne vinduerne og der kunne komme luft ind via en lammende AC
Love staying at the Royal Forrest lodge. Well situated and luxurious accomodation.
Great hotel. Surprisingly stylish
Confusing check in process

The hotel is very clean and staff very friendly, would stay again if we're in the area.
Really big room, super comfy bed. Above the restaurant / bar, however couldn’t hear anything. Beautiful location.
didn't eat breakfast location ideal handy for rail/buses/taxis
windows that open
Lovely building and the rooms had more character than in many chain hotels The bar staff worked really hard to let us stay in the same room when we booked an extra night We very much appreciated the air conditioning in our room
We felt that the overall emphasis of this establishment is on the pub rather than on the hotel The hotel reception was never manned and all queries were dealt with by staff in the bar who were often busy with serving It would have been helpful to have some written information in our room for example how to use the coffee machine and the existence of a fridge in the wardrobe -our milk turned to cheese overnight We would have liked a light breakfast package rather than ordering individual items which were quite expensive
Beautiful and historic building. Surrounding countryside is so pretty, short car ride to shops
The out buildings or separate annex was fearful and no bath. Dark and depressing. Male manager was abrupt and difficult. Very expensive for what it is
Cosy and comfortable stay at the heart of Epping Forest.
Przepiękne miejsce z klimatem.
Friendly staff
Found Nasty stain on one of the towels made it feel used.
Staff (particularly the front of house female manager) were excellent. Room was gorgeous.
Extremely expensive.
Great location, lovely atmosphere, nice food, loved the handwritten note and sweet treats in the bedroom, bedroom was wonderfully decorated and equipped
1) vegetarian breakfast option was very limited, not even veggie sausages 2) lovely big room, but small bed, there was plenty of room to have a bigger bed
The staff were great, polite, and helpful. Restaurant and bar area were very nice and well laid out. The bedroom had nice touches as the handwritten note and treats as we arrived. Fresh milk nice touch. Breakfast was nice and presented well. Plenty parking space.
The bedroom was fine for a two night stay. ,No lift to the second floor. The bed itself is very high even for the average height person. The breakfast service was slow and coffee lukewarm. The bedroom was over expensive for what was provided, not worth the money.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable bedroom, and friendly staff. Loved the breakfast.
Well appointed hotel. Excellently decorated and comfortable. Breakfast and restaurant and bar were great.
No negatives
Luxury accomodation with friendly staff en excellent location
A stunning place in an excellent location. The room was comfortable as was the bed. The food was really good quality, with a great selection. Highly recommended. A comfortable large bar area with a great range of drinks.
Everything was excellent, all the staff were professional and friendly.
Everything west great

Lovely place
It was all good
The organisation for our reunion meal was excellent. The staff were excellent and met all the needs of all our colleagues.
Stairs we were in room 26, so a lift to the second floor would have been a major improvement.
Everything was fantastic but the staff were exceptional.
We enjoyed our stay and it exceeded our expectations. The rooms were sparkling clean and great comfy beds. The shower is massive! The staff were nice and good food
Beautiful building and hotel rooms, breakfast was very good. Parking is available. Staff friendly and helpful

Staff were amazing and the room was immaculate. Very good menu at dinner also.
Website said nearest station was stratford. This is very incorrect and cost me a fortune in a taxi.
