DaLi LOFT Travelling With Hostel

The location, just nearby the bus station from airport/train station and the main gate to the old town but in a calm area. The design of the hostel, the common areas and facilities (bar/cafe, outdoor terrace, laundry..). The staff went the extra mile and allowed us to do an early check in, and even for free. They also have a lovely dog.

As we were given an early check in for free, we didn’t complain as we really much appreciated the efforts and kindness. But the room available we got was with a big non-openable window overlooking the corridor and, most of all, with a huge leak in the bathroom (also without window) that had all the shower walls full of mould and horribly bad smelling (totally bad for health). A room like this should not exist at all in a hostel. This is the reason why I gave 7 instead of 10.

Les instal.lacions de les zones comunes, estan deteriorades. Falta manteniment. Tenen una terrassa que seria top, si l'haguessin mantingut.

Very clean, good wifi, comfortable beds, quality showers, convenient location, walkable from bus stops on main road, free laundry, quiet at night. I'd stay again.

The hostel was very clean and the staff super friendly. They had a free to use washing machine which was super helpful! The common area are awesome which made it nice to have some calm time and enjoy a meal! Location was good, really near the Main Street of the old town but in a quieter area Also the dog was a good companion!!

Everything is fine and very convenient to move around, near the Dali Ancient City and lots of food stalls just at the hostel doorstep 👍👍👍

Guesthouse owner was super friendly and helpful (she helped us booked electric scooters to ride around Erhai Lake and provided food recommendations), the location was perfect: just a short walk away from Dali Ancient Town, room was cozy if a bit small (some noise was audible from the backstreets but not really dealbreaker). A cute golden retriever (Qi Qi) lives onsite!

The bathroom could be improved with some separation between the toilet and the shower area to prevent the whole room from getting wet (perhaps a curtain or a sliding door?).

The location was ideal for viewing the city and the river. Additionally, the staff were very friendly, which left a strong impression on me. 位置非常适合观赏城市和河景。 另外，工作人员非常友善，给我留下了深刻的印象。 ロケーションは川と街並みを眺めるのに最適でした。 また、スタッフの皆さんがとても親切で、特に印象に残っています。 위치는 다리와 시내를 보기에 적합했습니다. 아울러 스탭들이 매우 친절했던 것이 기억에 남습니다.

This is a great hostel to stay when you visit Dali. The owner goes above and beyond to help you out and the dog Qiqi is always a great companion

The staff was very friendly. Helped us to rent a bike, to order a share car to Lijiang. The location is great, 5 min walking to the main gate of Old Town of Dali. They change bedsheets and towels everyday, yet give a bottle of water every day as well.

It's not about the hostel but about the room mates who started smoking in the room although it's forbidden by the rules of the hostel.

Hostel confortable avec un personnel adorable. Très bien situé pour visiter la vieille ville ! Café / bar sur place en compagnie du golden retriever.

Il n'y a pas de cloison qui sépare le dortoir de l'espace toilettes/douche. Au delà du problème d'intimité que cela pose aux plus pudiques, il n'y a pas moyen non plus d'éviter le bruit et la lumière dans tout le dortoir à n'importe quelle heure.

the location is near to the ancient town. Walking distance. the host is nice enough to provide travel advice and help us when we need a transport, and the facilities in the hostel is good as the provide free usage of washing machine

bedding was clean but whole hostel needs renovation . my room is large . the floor is concrete . no lift at all.

Location is super, staff incredibly kind and helpful. Is it clean, beds are comfortable, there's a bar where you can get coffee/tea and some other drinks whenever you want. The common spaces are great to chill. There is everything you need right next to it: restaurants, bus station, south gate of Dali's ancient town.

Lovely space with a very friendly dog! The hostel was very quiet as I came in lower season, but I still had a great time. Well located to explore old town.

I got quite lucky and had the dorm to myself for most of my time here, which was great. Liked there was a kettle in the room and that I got a clean towel and bottle of water every day. The room was also cleaned every day. Staff were really lovely and despite the language barrier were always willing to help. The free laundry was great too. There's lots of space to relax and there is a coffee shop in the hostel too. Really close to the gate of the ancient town.

Not a negative more a note to travellers to make sure you have the Chinese address saved as the booking address isn't accurate and no where near the actual location of the hostel. Again, not a fault of the hostel but it was very quiet when I was there so I didn't get to meet any other travellers.

Great location—this hotel is situated on the main road, just 350 meters from the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, and surrounded by restaurants, street food stalls, and motorcycle rental shops. The hotel has a cozy, homely vibe with a lovely courtyard where you can enjoy coffee, tea, and other beverages. The room is clean and comfortable, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The private room for three was perfectly designed. Pool table on top, laundry, etc. Great location.

The young lady at check in was super nice but older lady when being asked for two (!) toilet paper rolls, she was reluctant to give them (they are half size than usual BTW); and same when asking for the (free) bottle of water : she refused to give two (we were 3 adults). You may want to change that policy .

Awesome place! Perfect location in the ancient city. There is a nice cafe in the hostel with Yunnan specialty coffees and indoor / outdoor seating. Rooms are very clean and there is even a Western style toilet. Hard to find in Yunnan. Staff speaks some English as well. Very helpful with directions to different attractions around Dali.

The helpfulness of the receptionist, the close proximity to the Old City and the abundance of restaurants nearby.

Perhaps the management may wish to consider installing a proper shower sliding door. Currently, the half glass partition does not prevent the water from the shower flooding the attached toilet floor.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this hostel

Beautiful property with brand new and gorgeous interior. A very beautiful golden retriever who lives there too will keep you company always. Locals are so friendly and very close to everything you could need, yet still quiet. They helped me hire a great mountain bike and I rode 75km/145km of Erhai lake, definitely worth doing!

The lady working there was very welcoming amd she helped me with some tips about bises amd the old town. The design is simple, modern, interesting. Tue sheets, pillow and cover were clean. The location is ok, not the best, but very close to the bus station and 10 min walk to the old town gate.

Great location. The spot is really comfortable, there's nice places to hang out or sit and read a book. Rooms are really clean and beds are super comfy. The toilet is a squat toilet, but it's cleaned daily and separate from the shower.

Sharing bed with no curtain, less to no privacy. Would be better if curtain is placed for individual bed. Upper bed with no barrier, risk of falling from bed. Not easy to climb to upper bed with the current stair and holder.

Eastern toilet. Shared room next to living space, but guests were quiet after 11, which was great. There are no curtains for beds that would have offered privacy.

Really cute and friendly dog! Spacious rooms and very clean, all quite new and the location is great for Dali Old Town, the bus to/from the station, and going out of Dali to the countryside. The bathroom was only between 4 people which was great.

The location is not accurate on any map/app we used so it took ages to find, and the room had no AC so got very hot. It was a bit loud at night because of the road but fine. The bathroom had no door so was noisy at night/in the morning.

it's one of the best hostels I've stayed in years of travel. I'd like to thank Pan Pan for her dedication to my needs. It's clean, comfortable bed, great location, what more could you ask for. The dorms are not overcrowded, only 3 beds in mine. I loved the background music it plays throughout the hostel. I highly recommend

I stayed in a dorm and in a private room. Both were amazing. Comfy bed and great facilities. Please note that my dorm had a squatting toilet. The private room had a "normal" toilet. The place is impeccably clean and modern. Location is great, very close to the touristy old town gate. Helpful staff as well

It is a great hostel if you are fine with squat toilets only. Apart from that, I had a pleasant stay. There are two nice common areas to hangout. Location is close to the old town. The owner was also really helpful, she helped me to find a place to rent a bike and gave me recommendations on what to do.

They made me to pay more than the price that shows in my booking. They said tha additional cost was a kind of tax.
