Great room and location and very friendly staff

The hotel went out of its way to accommodate me and confirmed my reservation late on a public holiday (I had to urgently find a replacement due to another hotel canceling my reservation). The receptionist was polite and helped with my luggage and late check-in. I am grateful to the receptionist.

I didn't want to write a negative review because I was grateful that a hotel employee helped me with a late check-in. But today I saw a review on Booking.com with a 10 rating in my name, which I didn't write. I consider this an outright scam and a lie (I don't know how the review appeared). The hotel is centrally located, but in a less-than-ideal area. I wouldn't recommend the area; it's scary to walk around in the evening. The hotel photos are completely inaccurate. It's in poor condition, with old renovations, and feels like it's been abandoned for a long time and operates semi-legally. It's very dirty. I believe the rating is inflated due to fraudulent reviews (as happened with mine). I just went to the reviews section of Booking.com and edited the review I didn't write, changing it from 10 to 1. I'll contact Booking.com support. Choose a different hotel.

best location and safe hotel

Nagyon közel volt minden ès nagyon kedves a vendèglátók, a matrac kiválló. Kicsit aggódtam a tisztaság miatt, az èrtèkelèsek miatt is. Azonban rendben volt, nyilván egy règi èpületről beszèlünk, nem egy 5csillagos szálloda, de árèrtèk arányban rendben volt.

We arrived at 1.30 am and there were no towels in the room. When we asked at the reception, the guy told us that they are out of towels. Also, the bathroom was really run down, there was mould and hair dryer cables were close to water, so I don't think that was really save.

Nothing!! Like actually nothing wth. It is like a scam as the hotel looks nothing like the pictures listed. Very filthy, disgusting and dirty.

As I mentioned that it is very dirty. We booked a room for two which looked fine in the pictures BUT WTF???? We went there, it had the very bare minimum of lighting, scratches on the walls, everything is broken and does not work, the smell is insanely disgusting, everything is filthy and there are bugs, cockroaches and worms everywhere. If you lay on the bed for 2 minutes, you will start intching baaaaaaad for the whole evening. The shower does not work, the toilet seat is broken and you cannot keep it open, it does not flush, no toilet paper or any facilities. They give you one small towel totally for all use for two people and it has STAINS ON IT AND STINKS! But the smell of mold made us sick the first night since we already paid them alot and they do not give refunds and we arrived late so they did not even allow us to upgrade first and said that in the morning they will solve it for us. Sleeping was like hell the first night then when we asked for any kind of upgrade to not lose our money as they do not give refunds, they said that there are two rooms available but we need to pay more and it has to be CASH so we thought it’s okey if we see the rooms and choose from them. We saw them both and both looked bad but less bad than the first room since they are slightly bigger. We paid and went to see the city until they clean the rooms (THEY SAID!) but when we came back, same story, all dirty, only two towels totally the whole stay with zero room service (we finally ended up telling them we do not need the room service as we brought our own stuff to survive and wanted none to be thrown away, knowing that they do not even have room service). We had to ask many times for toilet paper and we got two at the end for the whole stay that we ended up buying our own toilet paper and facilities (we truly could just give up on the refund and rent elsewhere and end up paying less but WE DID NOT KNOW IT WILL BE LIKE THIS since it was our first time in Turkey).

It is within walking distance of historical places to visit. The employees at the facility provide you with free information. The rooms are comfortable, clean and safe.

The location is perfect.

The furniture are old and falling apart, the windows are not sound proof soo very noisy.

I booked a room with a balcony to stay with my family. The room was decorated in a modern way and was very safe and hygienic. From the balcony, you can watch the Marmara Sea on the one hand, and on the other hand, you can see the historical indoor market and the Blue Mousqe mosque.

The room we booked has a renovated concept and the sea view from the balcony on one side and the view of the historical Grand Baazar on the other is wonderful.

Las fotos no se corresponden con la realidad. Esta totalmente en un mal estado, lleno de humedades, bichos, las camas sucias, solamente ponen una sábana sobre el colchón el cual estaba amarillo, lleno de pelos y manchas. En el baño había un agujero enorme sobre la ducha y muchos cables sueltos. No entiendo como este alojamiento sigue en booking

We booked a triple room but after we checked in to the room condition so bad not clean and a broken shower. And also there is no space for 3 people the room is so small . We noticed the bathroom also not clean we saw some hair on commode seat we really felt upset and the bath cubicle very very small and shower was broken totally. We informed the owner and they provided a large room after the complaint. That room is very spacious and clean. Staff is helpful.

Unfortunately, I can't say a single good word about that place! The hotel is well located in the city. The man at reception was nice at the start. He led us to the room and left us in front of the door without saying a word. Access to the first floor was via steep stairs or an elevator in very poor condition. We chose the latter. But the worst thing was the room we got! I think that Booking.com should be more aware of what people are offering on their site, because the room and entire place looked decent in the pictures, but in reality, it was a nightmare! I only regret not taking pictures of it, because it's very hard to describe in words. More details below...

- The room size was the smallest I have ever seen. Most of the space was taken up by the bed, leaving a narrow passage on one side. When we left our suitcases, they took up half the available space. CLAUSTROPHOBIC is the proper word for it. - Cleanliness of the room was poor, but the worst of it was one pillow that was literally yellowish. I wouldn't lay my head on it. - There was no furniture inside, no wardrobe or even a small locker. - Walls had paint peeling off in 2 spots. - The air conditioner was a very old unit and didn't give the desired cooling air, which was essential because it was so loud outside on the street that it wouldn't be possible to sleep with an open window. And when we closed it, the room quickly became too warm and stuffy, mainly because of its very small size. - No towels or any toiletries in the bathroom, and in general, it was obscure. We asked for the towels and we got them from the receptionist. We stayed there for less than an hour and went downstairs to file a complaint. The man said it's the room we booked, and I agree, but the pictures on Booking.com made it look much better and bigger than it actually was. I asked for another room, but he said the place is fully booked. So we went into town to find something better. We booked and paid for another room nearby and then returned to İSTA PALACE to collect our stuff. When I mentioned to the man that we were leaving for another place, he eventually offered us a different room. It came as a surprise because 30 minutes earlier, he said there were no rooms available. After such a bad experience with the first room, we didn't want to stay there and refused his offer. I didn't even bother to ask for a refund, just wanted to leave that place ASAP.

Nous avions réservé pour 5 nuits mais nous sommes partis dès le lendemain. La chambre était sale : poussière sur le lit, les meubles et les sanitaires, lavabo cassé, et l’ensemble donnait une impression de négligence. L’ascenseur était en mauvais état et peu rassurant. Le réceptionniste était souvent absent, et à notre arrivée il fumait la chicha devant l’entrée, ce qui ne donne pas une bonne image ni un sentiment de sécurité — surtout que nous étions venus pour faire beaucoup d’achats. Nous n’avons même pas osé nous laver tant l’endroit manquait d’hygiène. Nous avons préféré quitter la chambre et trouver un autre hébergement dès le lendemain. Vraiment déçus, je ne recommande pas cet hôtel.

We left the hotel after check-in when we saw our room. The receptionist was helpful with the airport transfer arrangements and he also proposed to change our room but when you go on vacation you expect to relax so for us it was too late.

The photos in the booking app are misleading. The rooms could be a lot more cleaner and decent as we were 5 in total, so the same situation was in three different rooms.

Ο ιδιοκτήτης και το παιδί στην ρεσεψιόν ήταν πολύ ευγενικοί και εξυπηρετικοί απέναντι μας. Μας έδωσαν ότι ζητήσαμε. Ήταν πρόθυμοι να μας βοηθήσουν. Το κατάλυμα είναι κοντά σε γνωστά αξιοθέατα. Εχει ωραία θέα από το μπαλκόνι. Το δωμάτιο ήταν καθαρό.
