La habitación tenia buen tamaño, así como el baño,… algo básica, pero correcta, no tiene aire acondicionado, pero nos trajeron un ventilador y fue suficiente, la cama es grande y cómoda. El desayuno en la terraza es tipo buffet, hay un poco de todo, incluso algún dia nos hicieron tortilla francesa en el momento. Se puede ir a la playa andando, y cerca hay muchos restaurantes y tiendas.

El ruido de la calle hasta la 1 o las 2 de la madrugada hacen difícil dormir, las ventanas no están insonorizadas, y es una calle muy animada, gente chillando, motos,… las cortinas no tapan las ventanas en su totalidad, y en cuanto amanece entra mucha luz. En la reserva, incluido en el precio, teníamos una parcela de aparcamiento, que si que la tuvimos, pero había que hacer malabares con los coches, porque el ultimo en aparcar, impide la salida de los otros, una tarde tuvimos que regresar de la playa porque nuestro coche molestaba a otro que queria salir,… nosotros corriendo y la otra persona esperando,… ahora imagina que eres tu el que tiene que salir, no puedes y el del coche no aparece, y por ejemplo pierdes el avión, o lo que sea! El caso es que nos ofrecimos a dejar las llaves por si habia que moverlo, pero se negaron, diciendo que no hay problema,.. hasta que lo hubo.

La SDB n'a pas été nettoyée quotidiennement. Les prises dans les chambres pour charger les téléphones sont loin du lit et y en a que deux.

Semplicemente una struttura ottima. Gli spazi sono accoglienti, abbiamo soggiornato in una camera privata che aveva tutto il necessario. Lo staff gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. La colazione eccezionale, ogni giorno le ragazze preparavano qualcosa di diverso, le quantità erano super abbondanti e soprattutto il cibo di qualità e tipico del posto. È possibile partecipare alle attività organizzate, noi ad esempio abbiamo provato una classe di yoga e ci è piaciuta molto. L’area di coworking è molto grande, forse un unico appunto sulla comodità delle sedie nel caso in cui si voglia fare una sessione di lavoro prolungata. In generale tutti gli spazi, le aree comuni, i bagni e la camera sono sempre stati puliti e in ordine. Ilka e Abdu sono davvero cordiali e gentili, abbiamo avuto modo di parlare con loro e sono sempre stati a disposizione per qualsiasi richiesta. Fanno del loro meglio per mantenere un clima di tranquillità nella struttura e soprattutto cercano di migliorare giorno dopo giorno. Sarebbe ideale se la cucina potesse essere messa a disposizione dei clienti così da poter cucinare qualcosa in autonomia. Se dovessimo tornare a Tamraght sicuramente sceglieremmo di soggiornare nuovamente qui.

Tout était super ! Literie confortable, chambre spacieuse, surf house très bien situé, rooftop magnifique, petit dej copieux, cours de surf au top, cuisine du soir délicieuse, accueil très sympathique ! Super séjour !!

Notre expérience a malheureusement été décevante. Au début, tout semblait normal, mais le comportement de l’associé du propriétaire, Abdou, a changé dès qu’il a remarqué que nous n’étions pas intéressés par les activités proposées en supplément (surf à 400 DHS pour 1h30 ou dîner à 10€, que nous n’avons pas trouvé attractifs). À partir de ce moment-là, son attitude est devenue froide : il ne répondait plus à nos salutations, ne souriait plus et nous a clairement fait sentir que nous n’étions pas les bienvenus. En revanche, son associé Hassan a été très aimable et respectueux tout au long du séjour, ce qui mérite d’être souligné. Concernant l’accueil, Sophie (la Canadienne en charge du check-out) nous avait pourtant informés que nous pouvions laisser nos affaires sur place pendant la journée et nous avait même donné un bracelet pour accéder à l’établissement et utiliser les toilettes si besoin. Cependant, plus tard dans la journée, mon ami a reçu un appel nous demandant de récupérer nos affaires avant 17h, sur un ton particulièrement impoli et en totale contradiction avec ce qui nous avait été annoncé auparavant. Ce manque de cohérence et surtout de respect dans la communication a fortement entaché notre séjour.

Amazing location close to the seaside and loved the rooftop where we had breakfast and dinner. The room was also nice, the one I booked had the balcony. The staff is super friendly and ready to help. Particularly good the food, thank you to the team for the delicious meals!!

It is a little bit loud on the street (the hostel is close to a mosque). So better be prepared to wear ear plugs. Apart from that, nothing else to add.

The location was great and for what we paid, it was good value as the breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the terrace and hangout room. The vibe was very chilled which was what we were after. The local area and beach is lovely, it would have been good to have had more reccommendations by the hostel staff, especially as a lot was closed due to Eid when we were there.

There was a stain on my sheet, and the beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable, especially after surfing. We stayed 5 nights and our room was never cleaned in that time. Also communication regarding the days activities came very late in the day, and we found much cheaper options for surfing and excursions elsewhere so opted out of the activities offered by the hostel.

Great stay! The staff were super friendly, the house was clean and comfortable, and the food was fresh and tasty. The beach is very close and there are plenty of fun activities.

The staff were great, we would play cards in the evenings (some of us would just watch the cards 👀😂), and hangout a bit at breakfast. The roof terrace was lovely to sit and read and there is a great working/reading room which I really liked. The location is wonderful, so close to the beach and easy to get taxis if you need. This is not to do with the hostel, but the area - do be aware if you've not been before that the Mosques have several calls to prayer throughout the day including very early morning. There are several mosques close by and it can be startling to wake up to it. A good set of earplugs will do the trick.

The pillows were awful - but I kept forgetting to ask for a different one. I really think they should be replaced. It was like a pillow case stuffed with bunched up socks 😂 The beds were fine (I stayed in two different rooms) but very springy which I personally find uncomfortable.

Wir hatten eine richtig tolle Zeit bei Ilka und Abdu im Ocean Surf House. Wir haben dort 12 Tage verbracht und haben uns von Tag 1 wohl gefühlt. Das morgendliche Frühstück auf der Terasse war jeden Tag ein Highlight zum Aufwachen. Und auch das Abendessen wurde jeden Abend frisch zubereitet und war jedes Mal super frisch und lecker. Die Unterkunft hat viel Platz und ich konnte tagsüber einen guten Platz zum Arbeiten finden. Außerdem ist man in 10 Minuten am Strand und auch sonst kann man fussläufig alles was man braucht gut erreichen! Wir können das Ocean Surf House nur jedem empfehlen der einen Ort zum wohlfühlen und entspannen sucht!!Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder🤍🤍

This is my first time in Morocco, and I couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome, always smiling, always checking in on how I’m doing. Their hospitality is warm, natural, and truly from the heart. I’ve been staying here for a week and have two more to go, and I can already say this place feels like a peaceful home away from home. The rooms are spotless, the atmosphere is calm, and the food is consistently fresh, simple and of high quality. I really appreciate the attention to detail, whether it’s breakfast, dinner, or just a cup of tea, everything is served with care and good energy. I wasn’t looking for a 5-star all-inclusive hotel. I was looking for something more real, more human. And that’s exactly what I found here, simple comfort, genuine care, and everything I actually needed. One thing that really stood out to me is how helpful the team is. They’ve given me honest and useful recommendations for local places to eat, where to get a massage, and what’s worth seeing in the area. That made a big difference for me as a solo traveller. They also offer surf lessons, but even without joining the activities, I’ve been fully content just enjoying the peaceful stay. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the beach, perfect for a morning swim or evening walk. It’s close to everything, but still quiet enough to relax fully. Thank you for making my first Moroccan experience so smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended and I’m happy I still have more time here to enjoy it.

This place has an amazing atmosphere, with delicious breakfast and dinner. It’s a great spot for solo travelers who want to meet other people. There’s also enough space to store your surfboards.

Ich kann das Ocean Surf House in Marokko nur jedem ans Herz legen. Sehr herzliche Atmosphäre. Die Gastgeber sind etwas ganz Besonderes: extrem freundlich, aufmerksam und mit so viel Liebe dabei, dass man sich vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause fühlt. 🌞 Das Essen ist ein weiteres Highlight. Sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen sind super lecker, frisch und abwechslungsreich! Insgesamt ist das ganze Haus sehr sauber und gepflegt. Besonders begeistert hat mich die wunderschöne Dachterrasse – perfekt zum Entspannen nach dem Surfen, zum Sonnenuntergang schauen oder einfach um den Abend ruhig ausklingen zu lassen. In etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß ist man am Strand. Ich kann das Ocean Surf House wirklich jedem empfehlen, der ein gemütliches, liebevoll geführtes und entspanntes Surfcamp sucht. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder! 🏄‍♂💙 Danke Ilka & Emilia! 🌞

Good location and tasty breakfast

The place was overall okay, but we experienced a few disappointing situations. The owner contacted us while we were already on our way and asked us to cancel our reservation, simply because we would arrive one hour later due to a delayed bus. The message was very rude, and it was very stressful to receive it while travelling, especially since we would have had no place to stay. Additionally, there was a lot of noise in the mornings coming from the kitchen above our room, which made it difficult to rest. In most places in Tamraght, Moroccan tea is served as well for breakfast, but here they only offered cheap supermarket tea for breakfast, which was disappointing. Considering there are many better options in Tamraght, we wouldn’t choose this place again.

J’ai vécu une expérience très décevante dans cet établissement. J’ai rencontré un problème avec une planche de surf louée sur place : une petite fissure légère, que trois réparateurs professionnels du village ont confirmée comme parfaitement réparable pour un coût très faible. Malgré ces avis, l’hôtel a insisté pour me faire payer le prix d’une planche neuve, à un tarif largement abusif, sans fournir aucune facture ni preuve du prix réel du matériel. Lorsque j’ai refusé de payer un montant injustifié, le personnel est devenu agressif, m’a accusé à tort de propos racistes (ce que je n’ai évidemment jamais tenu), et m’a menacé de “faire remonter l’affaire à Booking”. J’ai dû quitter l’établissement pour éviter que la situation ne dégénère davantage. Je voyage beaucoup et c’est la première fois que je me sens intimidé et manipulé par un hôtel. Je conseille aux futurs visiteurs de faire très attention aux locations de matériel sur place.

Ocean Surf House staff is super super friendly, helping and welcoming. This is my second time staying here and I would love to come back. Filled with relaxing atmosphere, sense of community, yoga classes, surfing lessons and shared activities. The property is well maintained, clean, beds are comfortable, the location can't get any more comfortable - close to the beach, groceries, restaurants. Breakfast is good and prepared with care by local women. Rooftop is great for working.

Small disadvantage - as it was summer and it gets hot in Morocco during that time, property does not have AC. Though, I was offered a fan which did the job :)

There’s nothing bad I could say about ocean surf house. Maybe just suggestions of what would be useful hooks in the bathroom and a shelf by bed would be useful. But everything was perfect.

I highly recommend this hostel, especially if you're looking for a quiet spot to unwind. I had a great time there, and the hospitality was exceptional. Abdu and Said were incredibly kind and made the experience even better.

The team is super friendly and helpful. From the owner to the staff, there is always someone here to help. The breakfast is great, and it's cool to share it with other travellers and share experiences and stories.

The mosque is right next door, so be prepared to wake up very early with the call to prayer. The curtains don’t block the light well either, which makes it hard to sleep in or rest during the day. Also, if you're booking for surf access, note that Tamraght is about a 15-minute walk to the beach, crossing a big road and an empty parking lot. Not exactly the “surf out your door” experience some might expect. It’s the same for most places in town, but it's good to be aware.

Amazing stay at Ocean Surf House! The staff and owners are extremely friendly and always ready to help. The hostel is modern and spotless, with simple but charming rooms featuring local carpets and art. The rooftop is lovely and thoughtfully arranged, with sunny and shaded areas to relax. Breakfasts were tasty and fresh every day. The location is perfect – central but quiet. Ideal for couples and solo travelers. I’m already looking forward to coming back to Morocco, and this will definitely be my first choice!

More than just a hotel; it's a family 😍 Ocean Surf House was by far my favorite spot in Tamraght from start to finish. My private room was spacious and quiet, the shared bathroom always clean, the breakfast served each morning was delicious and the rooftop was as vast as it was sun-drenched! And the icing on the cake? The kindness of the friendly owners and all the staff. Ilka and Abdu always take the time to chat with their guests, their smiles and good moods are contagious! The cooking team was equally wonderful; they organized a local dinner with live music, adding a warm, homey touch and great vibes to the whole experience ☀️

Awesome stay at OSH! Newly opened, very clean, great location (+/- 10 min walk to the beach), great breakfast, and lovely staff. The rooftop terrace is a gem. Definitely recommended and will definitely come back!

The best place to stay! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Abdo and Inca are incredibly nice and always ready to help. Everything about this place is just perfect—I highly recommend it!

all round amazing experience. this was my second time staying in tamraght, and i like the location of this hostel much more than the first place! Ilka (owner) is so welcoming and has a very calming presence. in fact, the entire atmosphere of the hostel is relaxed, peaceful and calm. her partner too was also helpful when it came to board rentals! it's in a great location for walking to the cafes above banana point (around 15/20 minutes just along 2 long roads). if you have a short board it's definitely walkable, but maybe with a foamie you'd want a lift to the beach. i was unsure about the location since Tamraght is a bit set back from the beach but you can actually walk to banana point, crocro and devil's rock in around 20 minutes. also it was fine because my friends were renting a car, i'd suggest finding people who have a car for getting to surf spots, or pay for a lesson. or get the local bus to tagazout? although unsure if they'd allow boards on. the proximity to convenience stores, restaurants, coffee shops, cafes and bakeries is second to none - near the main road but also in a very quiet location. at night, super super peaceful and quiet. my room was amazingly clean and pretty/well decorated. i felt so at home, immediately! wifi is strong throughout, except for parts of the terrace. they also made a group chat for guests to organise plans so i had the chance to go for sunset mint tea with one of the volunteers which was lovely <3 overall, just what i needed and didn't even know it! a place to work quietly, reflect, cook, and felt very respected by everyone there, with plenty of space to practice yoga or just chill out and recharge.

i really liked pretty much everything! they could have more hooks in the bathrooms and could have more surf boards available to rent, but i was very happy with the shortboard i rented! also maybe would be nice to have some kind of cloths/sponges upstairs to wipe the yoga mats with as it can get a bit dusty on the roof. maybe they had that though, i didn't ask.

The staff was welcoming and very helpful in sending location and times for check in. The surf house is all we, big, with beautiful decoration, super clean and really comfortable and silent. The shares bathroom was really nice and clean. The staff was wonderful! And the terrace is so big, with nice views and so comfortable with different areas… in the beat location of the village next to shops, restaurants and the beach and still silent and quiet. Great price and excellent service and breakfast! I’ll definitely recommend this place.

I shared the house with 2 amazing guys. Except of barking dogs it’s quiet You can use kitchen, fridge and everything and the rend a board at a nice price It’s a place just for sleep and especially for people who come for the surf and not more

Bare in mind it’s a budget priced place it was further from sea then I thought (20 min walk) but the beach is easy to access by car The bed had a pit.. but I slept ok When i arrived there were some used papers in the wastepaper basket .. It djdnt felt clean

Ilka and Abdul are very welcoming. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We had a great stay!
