I feel like I should have been told the room had an adjoining door to next room. I would have preferred a non-adjoining room. Every noise had me staring at the door.

Although my floor was non-smoking and the room was clean, the smell of smoke either lingered from prior guests or was permeating through the walls. It was faint but could pose an issue for those with allergies, asthma or other illnesses.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026The location was good for the things we plan to do, The breakfast was great they had a lot to offer. Staff was friendly. The pool was clean and very nice to use. There was plenty of parking. The room was pretty well the pointed and they have great water pressure and lots of hot water in the shower.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The security lock on the side door to the parking lot was not working and the door was unsecured Just anyone could walk in and out of it and we did have a moment where we were uncomfortable with who followed us in. One elevator was broken and the other one was shaky.

Tive que subir escadas carregando peso e quando funcionava era preciso apertar os botões para todos os andares, por isso ele ia parando, o que tornava o processo demorado e causava longo tempo de espera. Também não gostei da vedação acústica. Era possível ouvir o barulho da freeway.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026We had a really great stay at Hampton Inn Austin North and can highly recommend this hotel. What stood out the most was the excellent value for money. Compared to other hotels we stayed at during our Texas trip in a similar price range, this hotel was by far the best. The staff truly made this place special. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy in their work. You could feel the positive atmosphere throughout the hotel. The breakfast was also surprisingly good, especially by American standards. Everything was fresh, well organized, and the breakfast staff was very kind and attentive. The absolute highlight for us was the complimentary evening meal offered to hotel guests. That was such a thoughtful and generous extra, and something we really appreciated. Another detail we loved was that they even prepared grab-and-go breakfast bags for guests who didn’t have time to sit down in the morning. That level of care and thoughtfulness is rare and made a big impression on us. We also want to mention that cleanliness was excellent. Towels and linens were fresh, clean, and spotless, something we unfortunately cannot say about every hotel we stayed in during this trip. We are visiting from Germany, and this was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us, so we will most likely not return to Austin anytime soon. But if we ever come back, we would absolutely stay here again. A wonderful hotel with genuinely caring staff. We can wholeheartedly recommend it.

One elevator was broken and the other one sounded like it was gonna quit working while you was in it. I wish I would’ve stayed at a different hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful though.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026I came with my husband and 2 children, it was a good stay, very clean. We were worried because the reviews were all saying they didn’t have breakfast, but fortunately they DO have free breakfast! And it was decent.
The only that wasn’t great was the elevators. Just one out of the two elevators were working. The people on the fourth floor had to call down to the desk before they left the room so the front desk could send them the elevator. We were on the third floor so it wasn’t a problem other than before we left. When we were leaving we pressed the button to and the elevator didn’t come for a long time. It wasn’t moving and the button light wasn’t staying on… eventually after continuing to press it, just before we gave up, the light stayed on and we heard it coming! We did eventually get on that elevator and made it down to the first floor lol.

Elevators were slow, was a consistent issue. AC would automatically turn fan off and thermostat had to be adjusted at night to stay cool.

Elevator was not available from 4th floor. It was also a bit jarring riding it up, with sudden jerks after stopping and long delays before the door opened. The blow dryer in the room sparked and started smoking as soon as my wife turned it on. We brought it to the attention of staff but it wasn't replaced. Overall, it felt pretty run down for a Hampton.
