Reviewed May 7, 2026Lovely quiet setting. Well equipped and thoughtfully suited for any small children with soft toys and cute bunk beds.
We waited and waited to get in, not thinking of trying the other door! We searched and searched for the wifi password. It was in miniscule print on a wall. Funny really.

It worked well for the 2 of us but it would have been tight with the full complement.

Reviewed Nov 1, 2025Bed was very comfortable. So close to the beach and the playground and handy for access to other locations. On rainy days we enjoyed the comfortable couch. The kids loved their room and the collection of toys and books.
It was a little chilly during bad weather but not too much. Mostly all good.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2024Our stay in Stanmore Bay was absolutely wonderful! The location was perfect – just a short walk to the beach, where we enjoyed collecting shells and exploring the rock pools. The accommodation was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids loved the nearby playground, and we all appreciated the peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend for a relaxing and family-friendly getaway!

Bedrooms on the small side. Little room for luggage in dbl bedroom. Lighting inadequate in same room - no switch by door. Door drags on carpet. Position of tv makes group viewing difficult.

Reviewed Jan 5, 2024Great little property, beautifully renovated with modern, fresh and stylish decor and amenities, whilst retaining that quintessential kiwi bach feel. We stayed over Xmas whilst visiting family and our hosts left christmas treats and even put up a little xmas tree in the lounge, which was a nice touch. The weather wasn't great so didn't get to enjoy outdoor area to it's fullest, but I imagine it would be a wonderful place for a small family to spend a summer beach break.

Reviewed Sep 25, 2023Location is the best. Easy walk to the beach not far from the shops. So easy and central for exploring the Whangaparoa Peninsula. Very clean and tidy - one of the cleanest we have seen. Cosy unit - shame the weather was terrible so we never got to enjoy the deck. Lovely note and carrot cake from the host - made us feel very welcomed.
Only one minor thing. Only 1 pot but 2 frying pans. We worked around it but thats all we didn't like. Would still totally recommend.
