Reviewed Apr 17, 2026The yurt is absolutely fabulous. Very cosy. The facilities had everything we needed and more. Would absolutely come back and spend more days here. Fabulous bird song but otherwise very peaceful.
I knew the facilities were outdoors and that’s ok but as it rained during our stay I had to walk across a wet deck to get back and forth. Wish I’d bought some outdoor slip on shoes.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026We loved everything about this beautiful yurt 🛖, a true escape from life. Everything was great the comfortable bed, the cosy fireplace🔥, the five 🌟 kitchen with amazing knives and a bbq, cosy outdoor shower and bath. Our hosts Mike and Kylie were the accomodating, very friendly ( in the short chat we had when leaving ) and also helped with the small request of flowers on the bed come true 🥰 Nothing beats the view of the ocean and the sounds of the birds chirping. We definitely will be going back again. Highly recommend 💯

Ummmmm.... If anything.... If they don't already and I didn't notice... Spare tea candles? The candle light Dinner was delightful But one burnt out the first night.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2025My new favorite place! The yurt was spacious, comfortable, clean, and so cozy! The garden is lovely with a few down to the sea. The stars at night were stunning. Loved the open air tub! The kitchen is very well stocked and very functional. Overall just a lovely place. My only complaint was that we only booked for one night, I wish I could have stayed longer!

Reviewed May 15, 2025A great set of new experiences. Staying in a yurt, outside shower, stunning setting and so close to so many local sites. So many free DoC sites within a 30 min drive. The little fire was superb and made the yurt so cosy. Loved the speaker system for music

Reviewed May 9, 2025An utterly unique spot and so thoughtfully presented. Absolutely loved cooking in the immaculate little kitchen and eating out on the deck under the stars. So many quality touches from excellent hob and BBQ, to sharp kitchen knives, to spice selection, to tasteful crockery, coffee machine....the list goes on. The yurt inside is very spacious and thoughtfully set out, with lovely timber floors, and complete with a stunner little wood-burner fire, that makes for a very cosy vibe on chillier nights. We were lucky to have good weather and the breathtaking view of the night sky and stars overhead, was a memory to be treasured. If you enjoy the outdoors and nature at its best, this stay is highly recommended.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2025Exceptionally comfortable cosy stay, in beautiful surroundings, with complete privacy. The well set up kitchen (knives are sharp, pan is cast iron) was a real bonus.
It rained while we were there. The yurt was perfectly dry and warm and the rain was so nice on the roof, but I missed being able to enjoy the outdoor seating, when we eventually could sit outside it was absolutely perfect.

Reviewed Jan 20, 2025Brilliant well appointed location and excellent facilities with subtle extras provided by a knowledgeable owner. the Yurt provided a spacious room with plenty of surfaces for all our bits and pieces, a large comfortable bed and a nice sofa to laze on. Outside the dining table faced the sea through an avenue of trees which was a fabulous venue for breakfast and evening meals. A well organised and stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare all the meals. The added bonus was sharp kitchen knives, and Nespreso coffee maker and milk frother. To add to the impressive venue the bathroom is open air so you can wallow in deep bath bathed in sunshine! Spot on holiday location to enjoy both Able Tasman
Just a note to say the Yurt door is low… so duck or grouse!

Reviewed Oct 29, 2024Had a wonderful couple of nights here. Very comfortable and clean. Wood burner was a great bonus as the weather wasn’t nice. Mike the owner very helpful. Feels very private even though the owners property is on the hill above. Beautiful views of Ocean and bush. Very comfortable bed and settee. The only thing I would suggest is to take a pair of flip flops to go from the yurt the few steps to the amenities - easy to pop on and off especially when it’s raining. Will definitely be returning.
