False advertising. I was a solo woman traveler & have never been as frightened in a motel room. My rooms only window was boarded up with metal sheet with only two inches of outside light shining in. When checking in was not told that outside door would be locked at a certain time & I would have to push a buzzer to be let in from the street so locked out first night & then a man suddenly appeared & unlocked door to sidewalk. Was frightening in a strange city. Hallway to office totally dark until motion sensor light came on. Hallway to my room totally dark until motion sensor light came on. Had to use my mobile phone light. Hallway motion sensor lights were not placed so that the hallway would be completely lighted. I checked out three days early forfeiting my payment for three more days because as a solo woman traveler I did not feel safe in a dark hallway at night.

Habitación interior nuy pequeña y sin poder abrir ventana por haber muchos aparatos de aire condicionado haciendo ruido. Este hostal es perfecto para una noche en Madrid pero no para estar mas tiempo.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Ho soggiornato in questo albergo per una notte come appoggio per una trasferta lavorativa a Madrid. Spesso sono a Madrid in trasferta e cerco di alloggiare in zona Puerta del Sol perché si trovano alloggi simili a questo molto economici. La zona è centrale offrendo diverse soluzioni per fare una passeggiata o per cena. La struttura è la classica del centro di Madrid. Da grandi casa in vecchi edifici residenziali sono state ricavate diverse stanze per far alloggiare i turisti. La struttura è in linea alle precedenti in cui ho alloggiato. Prezzo sicuramente economico se rapporto alla media di Madrid.
Non si tratta di una soluzione adatta per un lungo soggiorno e/o se l'obiettivo è vivere l'hotel. Si tratta esclusivamente di una buona soluzione come punto d'appoggio in centro per dormire la sera e ristorarsi.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026地下鉄の駅に近く、観光スポットにも行きやすく大変便利でした。スタッフの方も親切でした。タオルも希望すれば毎日交換が可能です。ダブルルームを一人で使ったので広々使えました。施設は古いですがお掃除は行きとどいているようでした。エレベーターもあり、重いスーツケースを運ぶのに便利。
入り口が少しわかりにくいです。にぎやかな通りがすぐ前なので、少し夜は音がしました（私自身は、それほど気にはなりません）。

La chambre était très propre, avec tout le confort nécessaire. Literie confortable, climatisation, salle de bains avec produits de courtoisie, TV connectée, minibar. L'ascenseur un plus dans ces anciens immeubles! Tout à fait recommandé pour un court séjour au centre de Madrid.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026This is the second time that I have stayed at the Hostal Centro Sol. The hostal is about as close to the centre of Madrid as you can get. As such, there are many places of interest that are a short walk away. The staff are wonderful.
My room, which was facing the south, got quite warm. Fortunately, there was air conditioning. The Wi-Fi was a bit iffy.

Rúmið var gott og sturtan og baðherbergið fínt líka eiginlega betra en á hóteli þar sem þú þarft yfirleitt að tala við eitthvern til komast inn til þín. Líka þjónstufólkið duglegt að þrífa á hverjum degi.
Internetið hefði mátt vera hraðvirkara stundum hratt en þegar margir eru á því þá er það hægvirkara.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026Fantastisch sauber, sehr zentral gelegen, Metro keine 5 min, dafür ziemlich ruhig, Zimmer einfach, sehr angenehm ohne große Deko, Bad mit Dusche und gutem Wasserdruck, W-Lan funktionierte tadellos (musste arbeiten), Kühlschrank im Zimmer sehr leise, Klimaanlage funktionierte ohne Probleme während einer 40-Grad Hitzewelle, Rezeption 24/7 besetzt, hab von den Nachbarn kaum etwas mitbekommen, sicheres Gefühl
Das Hotel ist nichts, was ich als "schön" bezeichnen würde, aber für Sauberkeit, Lage und Preis wohltuend normal, unspektakulär und völlig ausreichend. Mein Zimmer war klein und an einem funktionalen Lichthof gelegen, wenn man das Fenster aufmachte, hörte man die Klimaanlagen brummen, aber auch das völlig in Ordnung, da sonst kaum Stadtlärm und auch keine komischen Gerüche. Ich war sehr zufrieden mit allem - also keine Beanstandungen.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026SOL駅のすぐ側という好立地。ホスタルが入っている建物自体は古いが、リノベーションされていてとても清潔感がある。（毎日清掃してくれるが、清掃を断った際も希望すればタオル交換やゴミ回収をしてもらえた） 窓が2重窓になっているので騒音は気にならない。空調も完備。バスルームは狭いがシャワーブースの使い勝手がよかった。部屋の広さ、ベッドの大きさは十分。冷蔵庫があるのも便利。ドライヤー、湯沸かしポット、マグカップやワイングラスもお願いすれば貸してもらえた。（湯沸かしポットをリクエストしたら、マグカップもいるでしょ？と言ってくれた） フロントの人も清掃の人も、みなさん応対が優しい。また24時間フロントの人がいてくれるので、セキュリティー面でも安心して過ごすことができた。 空港行きバスの停留所（シベレス広場）までも十分徒歩圏内。（ホスタルからバス停に向かっては下り坂でラクだが、逆はかなり坂を上ることになるので、大きな荷物がある場合は要注意） 場所柄、観光客は多いが治安はよいイメージの場所で、飲食店やデパ地下が充実したデパートやスーパーも近くにあり、とても便利。マドリードに宿泊する際は、是非また利用したい。
特になし…でも、壁が薄いのか、隣室の音が気になる時はあった。 ホスタルの前は歩行者専用道路のためタクシーを横付けできないが、建物から30ｍ程の場所にある「Canalejas広場」で降りれば、とても近い。（＝事前に問い合わせた際に教えてもらったので、タクシーを乗る際に運転手さんにもCanalejas広場で降りることを伝えた）

Iets verouderde accommodatie maar alles, ook badkamer netjes en verzorgd. Hostal op 4de verdieping maar vlot bereikbaar met lift. Heel centraal gelegen dichtbij Puerto del Sol en dus ook metro. Opgepast: beetje zoekwerk voor de ingang: gelegen tegenover het 'Jambon'-museum.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2026Lokalizacja w samym centrum miasta, idealna do zwiedzania. Pokój nieduży, ale wystarczający i wygodny. Czystość bez zarzutu, miła obsługa, możliwość przechowania bagażu. Budynek to kamienica, ale ma windę, więc nie trzeba nosić bagażu po schodach.
Z racji lokalizacji przy uczęszczanej ulicy nocą bywało słychać hałasy - jeśli komuś to bardzo przeszkadza, lepiej dopytać o pokój z oknem w stronę patio (choć wtedy bez widoku na ulicę).

Galagie, de la turistii care poposesc in zona. Este o straduta foarte frecventata. Se rezolva prin inchiderea geamului. Spatiu foarte mic la baie si in camera.

A doua baie nu are feon. O etajera in baie ar fi utila. O balama stricata la dulap. Un opritor la usa de la living ca sa nu se mai izbeasca de perete pentru ca a facut gaura in rigips. Un scaun cu spatarul rupt.

The only thing I would fault is the AC. It is not efficient, and I was hot the whole time. It was not even particularly hot weather in Madrid when I was there, so I can imagine what it’s like when it’s in the 90s out.

Reviewed Jun 5, 2026Location couldn’t be better. Maybe 10 to 20 m from Puerto del Sol and everything is a seven minute walk from there otherwise the metro station goes anywhere in town. The room was very small, but it was actually very quiet for where it was. I think because they aren’t large rooms there’s not much you can do in there aside from go to sleep. It was very clean brand new modern bathrooms with great water, pressure and immediate hot water. Personal air-conditioning that was very effective and I woke up cold a lot and had to turn it down.
That being said the walls are paper thin, so if your neighbor decides to start having a conversation or listen to the television loud, you will hear it.

Ninguna queja, excelente servicio.

Que como es una calle de peatones, el uber no nos dejaba a la par del lugar, pero lo que se caminan son 50 metros desde donde te deja el Uber, igual está perfecto.

Reviewed May 31, 2026Good location near Sol train station and metro station. About 5 mins walk. Some restaurants, supermarkets surrounding. A small fridge and an air conditioner are available in the room.
No electric kettle or a cup is available. Electrical socket is only available in the bathroom instead of the room.

Reviewed May 26, 2026Excellent location of the hotel, all attractions are within walking distance. The reception staff was very helpful. You can leave your suitcases at a late check-out, which is very convenient. The room is clean. We were in February, the hotel has heating and the temperature was comfortable.
I liked everything. The only wish: it would be great if there was a kettle in the room.

Odaların biraz küçük ve dar olmasini ama yine de konumundan dolayı görmezden gelinebilir. Belki dolaba bir iki şişe su koyulabilirdi.

Unfortunately for me there was construction work going on next door so during the day there was a lot of noise not the fault of the hotel

En realidad, la habitación cumple con lo ofrecido. El único detalle que deben mejorar es que las bañeras o tinas del baño son muy altas y las personas de mayor edad, tenemos dificultad para entrar.
