Country Charm with Mountain views

Beautiful accommodation, beautiful surroundings, cute dogs, cozy fire, cute loft - loved it all! I personally loved the quirky spiral staircase but I can see how it might be difficult for some to navigate. Enjoyed picking some oranges from the trees and watching the baby cows from our windows. Great kitchen too, well equipped. Very convenient location for visiting Maungatautari/Sanctuary Mountain - just remember to bring groceries as nearby food options are limited.

The hosts were friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. They had the fire ready to go when we arrived. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking tea and breakfast. A great place to relax.

The spiral staircase is a bit steep and not ideal for those with poor mobility or visual impairment, otherwise the place was fab.

Felicity was the most incredible host and the property was absolute perfection! Getting to stroll around the farm and meet all the animals was delightful, on top of that their two dogs were so sweet and it was wonderful having them visit us. The accommodation itself was cosy, homely and exactly what we were hoping for - a tranquil, quiet, friendly farm experience. We can’t wait to come back in the future!

Absolutely nothing, it was the perfect stay!

Layout of down stairs and kitchen was great. Very workable and comfortable. Loved the fresh eggs supplied by the hosts.

Spiral stairs to the bedroom were a little hard to navigate.

Gorgeous property on farmlands. Owners were very friendly and communicative. Would book again!

A slice of paradise! Beautifully restored and renovated farm and barn. Contemporary vibe with beautiful design & gardens! The hosts are some of the nicest people we have ever encountered while bicycle touring!

We wished we had booked for more days! We left wanting to stay longer!

Het was een hele ruime accommodatie met een aparte slaapkamer boven. Daarnaast een ruime badkamer en keuken en een grote living. Heel smaakvol ingericht. Een mooi dakterras en voldoende ruimte om in de tuin te zitten.

The property was absolutely glorious! The gardens were stunning and the hosts were so friendly and wonderful. Full of local insight and very kind. I only wish we had the chance to stay longer!

Genuinely this must be one of the most idyllic places on earth. Felicity and Ron were the most wonderful and down to earth hosts and gave us a lovely history of the area and tour of the farm. The garden, scenery and ambience was second to none. The accommodation itself was extremely stylish and homely and there's even an option for a delicious home cooked meal just like mum used to make! Hobbiton is also half an hour away, as are the glow-worm caves, so the location is perfect.

Everything... The accommodation was perfect with Everything you need and more. The fire was a nice touch. We had a walk around the farm with the family which was great and interesting, getting to pat daisy the cow 🐄 🙂

We arrived a bit late and had not managed to find a shop in a one hour drive so had not had supper and had a bit of a thirst on! Felicity not only offered us a broad selection of drinks (I think the impending wedding weekend might have meant they had some stocks) but then went on to offer us a most delicious beef curry with ‘homemade or homegrown’ ingredients. The property is delightful and we wished we had booked a second night.

Nothing not to like

Beautiful relaxed stay in a lovely rural setting. Fabulous hosts and I already miss my visits from Louie for a pat and cuddle. Felicity made up the most beautiful bunch of flowers from her lovely garden for us to take to our 96 year old mother. She was thrilled with them. Lovely chocolate brownie, fresh farm eggs and tomatoes greeted us on arrival. We will certainly return and we highly recommend.

The location is very peaceful in a large garden with many flowers. The house is spacy and comfortable. A nice seating area to have breakfast in the sunshine is available. There was a bouquet of flowers in the sitting room and the fridge was filled.

This property was perfect for us. The accommodation was beautifully designed,and the location has amazing views . The outside area is perfect for a glass of wine while watching the sunset. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and we would definitely recommend this property. The little extra’s of jams, butter, bread & milk along with homemade brownies was a lovely touch!

Breakfast was great. Hosts were delightful, very friendly and accommodating. Charming apartment and very roomy. Very clean. Lovely to enjoy the garden and the host's story of their labour of love of their property.

Location was fantastic. The modern barn was well set out and had everything you need for a home away from home. Hosts went above and beyond. Very generous with their home-grown produce. Very friendly and helpful.

Everything from walking into the Unit it looked stunning and relaxing, fireplace made it all cozy, Felicity went above and beyond for us everyday to make sure we had the best time possible
