Wer McLeod kennt, weiss, wie wichtig die Lage dort ist. Das Hotel befindet sich fast am Ende der Strasse, wodurch es angenehm ruhig ist. Man hat eine schöne Aussicht und hört weder ständiges Gehupe noch störendes Hundegebell, was an vielen anderen Orten leider oft der Fall ist. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, besonders die Damen vom Reinigungsteam. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Bei hoher Auslastung gibt es ein Buffet, ansonsten wird à la carte serviert. Beim Buffet hat man deutlich mehr Auswahl und kann verschiedene Dinge probieren, während man bei à la carte jeweils nur ein Gericht auswählen kann. Das Zimmer (205, Hauptgebäude 1. Stock) war geräumig, hell und gut aufgeteilt. Nächstes Mal würde ich versuchen ein Zimmer im 2. oder sogar 3. Stock zu bekommen.

Im Zimmer 205 wären einige Haken an der Wand oder an der Tür sinnvoll gewesen, damit man Jacken oder Chubas aufhängen kann. Im Schrank konnte man zwar Hemden und ähnliche Kleidung aufhängen, jedoch nichts Längeres. Ich hatte meine ursprüngliche Reservation verlängert, jedoch war 'mein' Zimmer im Hauptgebäude danach leider nicht mehr verfügbar. Stattdessen erhielt ich das Zimmer C3 (Erdgeschoss, separates Gebäude), das etwas älter und kleiner war, aber grundsätzlich in Ordnung. Das Hauptproblem war jedoch die Balkontür mit Fenster, bei der kein verdunkelnder Vorhang vorhanden war. Dadurch war das Zimmer bereits um 5:15 Uhr morgens sehr hell. Zudem war das Zimmer sehr staubig, vermutlich weil sich direkt daneben und darunter Baustellen befanden. Ich konnte dadurch kaum richtig atmen und hatte bereits am nächsten Tag ein Kratzen im Hals. Am störendsten war jedoch der Hund auf der Dachterrasse des Nachbargebäudes, der während der Nacht immer wieder gebellt hat. An erholsamen Schlaf war dadurch leider kaum zu denken. Da kein anderes Zimmer verfügbar war, habe ich mir schliesslich ein anderes Hotel gesucht.

Good location, clean and easy to be accessed

Breakfast choice was limited. The menu was repetitive. Addition of some Tibetan dishes would have enhanced the quality of local flavour and variety.

Parking space (even for dropping off and picking up) was very limited.

The people that were at the front desk were so very nice and helped us a lot I would recommend this hotel anytime And will stay here next time I am in town

Noisy neighbourhood from surrounding bars and restaurants that were playing loud music until the early hours. Yet this is not the hotels fault, and an issue from the touristic area.

La estancia ha sido muy confortable y el personal absolutamente encantador. Las habitaciones muy bonitas y con una vistas inmejorables hacia el valle. La ubicación muy conveniente del templo principal y del telesférico para Dharamsala. Tienen una sala de meditación.

No one communicated that they will have dharamsala international film festival running 2 all nighter parties. It disrupted my sleep for both nights. I am dealing with lot of health issues right now and I need this sleep.

The rooms were clean, and the view from the room was really nice too. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and efficient in their service.

The property offer a great valley view. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the main market and near to Dalai Lama temple. It is clean, staffs are polite, Piano Piano restaurant has an amazing vibe.

Everything was great. Only one thing where they can improve is on their food menu. The options are less and the breakfast menu is same everyday.

Sehr gute Lage: ganz nahe am Zentrum und am Haupttempel/Lingkor. Dennoch sehr ruhig. Blick ist grandios. Die Ausstattung ist gehoben. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Excellentes Frühstück a la carte.

Enjoyed sooo much with everything! Cozy room with balcony and sunset/ mountain view, clean and calm place in the center of McLeodGanj. Their Restaurant with delicious European food always a perfect option not to lose time in search of food. Special thanks to waiter Tenzing, whose warm hospitality and positive mind starts my day☀️

To become the best version of yourself please make breakfast same category as other lunch/dinner food in your restaurant - more varieties of dishes, not only Indian breakfast options in some days.🙏🏼

We would like to thank the staff of Pemathang Guesthouse for the outstanding services during our stay from 18-23/05. We enjoyed our journey very very much. The hotel is a wonderfull place to stay in McLeodGanj. The rooms are comfortabel and very well-maintained. The food in restaurant Piano Piano, belonging to the hotel, is delicious, the services exquisite. Staff gave all their due attention to whatever we asked for - this was our first time in Dharamsala, so we had a lot of questions! Everything was done to make our stay as excellent as possible and always with a smile: explaining the road, changing money, ordening taxi, arranging breakfast for the day after because we had to get up early. Clean room and toilets. Polite and courteous staff

Hand shower didn't work. Despite requesting to get it repaired, it was not actioned till we left the property. Breakfast had very limited menu

This was a really perfect place for our three person film team to stay. We stayed 10 nights so we really got a good sense. Everything was always clean and in wonderful condition. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Staff was fantastic. Really felt taken care of. Location was absolutely perfect - beautiful view from restaurant, near the Dalai Lama's temple and walking distance to many great places in McLeod. Overall, a great stay.

The only thing that wasn't perfect is that the wifi went out occasionally. But for the most part it worked quite well.

Great hotel, the view of the whole Dharamsala is just gorgeous. Very quiet and calm atmosphere in the area of ​​the hotel. From our balcony we could see the residence of the Dalai Lama. The food in the restaurant for breakfast is not very varied, but in Dharamsala there are many delicious restaurants and cafes, you can have breakfast elsewhere.

Restaurant was a bit cold

beautiful hotel, perfect for a peaceful stay in the mountains. Close to city center, with lots of restaurants in walking distance without the noise of the city keeping you awake at night. Breakfast was oké.

One needs to walk to a different building for breakfast. This involves walking out into the cold. Although this would be great during the summer months.

Fabulous breakfast. The dining hall had great views. The ambience inside was warm, friendly and very stylish!

I had to go online to cancel one room from my original booking in order to get the two rooms together. That was complicated. And I got confusing messages from Booking.com on whether I would pay a penalty or not. In the end I didn't pay any penalty and got two adjacent rooms. So it was a happy outcome.

The location was fabulous!! Next to everything, and still away from the noise. The staff was also extremely helpful and guided us through everything during our stay at McLeodganj.

We had asked for a packed sandwich for breakfast the day we were leaving, but it was just too much bread. Would have liked them to be more thoughtful about it.
