I enjoyed the privacy and the beauty of nature.
Everything was fabulous the shower took awhile to get to a warm temperature.
This cozy cottage was perfect for our stay. It was very clean and welcoming.
Wonderfully peaceful setting.

The cottage is beautifully designed, with rustic charm and all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. They had a BBQ and a perfect outdoor seating area where you could sit together and have a lovely meal. The food forest is filled with a wide variety of plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables, and herbs. It was a special experience to reconnect with nature and serenity. The location is peaceful, surrounded by sounds of nature, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. They also make fresh fruit jams, syrups, pickles, bath bombs, socks, and gloves. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, who made us feel right at home. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us with genuine hospitality and shared helpful insights about the surrounding area.

Beautiful peaceful home away from home. Great to meet the farm animals, join a guided walk of the food forest and learn the philosophy behind it. And thanks for the recommendation to the Homewood Storeroom. who would have known there is such a hidden gem of a restaurant so remote and out of the way.
100 % recommended 👌

Easy to find, nice house.
Poor lighting, no washing machine.
It was a cute and cosy cottage that had everything you need in it.
Nothing to dislike
House was very cute , good kitchen facilities! Lovely touch with plums and jam available on arrival!! Very clean and tidy.
No washing machine , no towel changes. Popped down to main house X3 times as ran out of toilet paper no one home. Closest shop 20 minutes drive awayI think for the price there should be full amenities! After 4 nights with four adults in house rubbish was really needing disposal!
A perfect quiet location which was well worth the visit. Beautiful rustic cottage in the lovely food forest setting. We were greeted by Ray and Deb who welcomed us into their wonderland. Spacious cottage, very comfortable with everything that we needed. You can also visit their food forest and see all their animals. If you are in this area make sure you stay here. Castle Point is just a short drive away which is stunning.
Although it is a bit of a drive, it is definitely worth it for a stay here. Relaxing, private and comfortable. We highly recommend a visit to Tinui.
I can't think of anything. We loved our stay.
Such a beautiful, cozy cottage surrounded by lush greenery. And the benefit of being right on the food forest. Deb and Ray were lovely and welcoming. Fresh eggs and plum jam were left for us. We were given a tour of the food forest and fed the animals Looking forward to visiting again
The picturesque, private and peaceful location of the Tinui Food Forest Cottage makes for a very relaxing get-away break from the city. The 1940s former farm manager's cottage had all the facilities we needed, including a real fireplace to keep the evening cool at bay and the husband happy tending it. It's self-catering, so we brought our own food, but were delighted by the complimentary home-made plum jam and eggs from the free-range hens on the farm. The friendly and generous owners Debs and Ray Butterfield also encouraged us to take some veges for dinner from the amazing organic food forest. Asking Debs for a guided tour is recommended, because her knowledge is immense and it is great to hear the details of how this huge treasure trove of a garden/orchard/farm sustains itself, with a load of love and tons of work. Do what the sign says, try eating the weeds - it's a revelation. And you have to meet the alpacas, pigs, chickens, goats, guinea fowl, and dogs. Then there is the gorgeous starry night sky, bursting with brilliance. It's as zen an experience as a yoga retreat in Bali.
