Makerti Bali~Bamboo House

Loved everything. The staff were so attentive. The village / area was so serene and peaceful. My sister and I went for a run around the area and felt so safe and welcomed! The villa itself is incredible. A MUST STAY! and for somebody who is terrified of bugs it wasn’t bad at all, barely any!

Food was the only thing I’d mark down for.

Makerti Bali is one of those rare places that feels almost unreal. A magical bamboo villa completely nestled in nature, surrounded by incredible views without another hotel or resort in sight. You wake up to the sounds of nature, and everything about this place makes you slow down and completely unwind. Our recommendation: put your phones away and just experience it. Listen to the sounds, enjoy the view and let yourself disconnect from everything for a while. 🌿 Considering how remote and peaceful the location is, we were amazed by how effortless everything was. Room service can simply be ordered via WhatsApp, and the food was INCREDIBLY delicious!!! We genuinely don’t understand some of the lower reviews about the food. We would seriously question whether those reviewers could cook something even half as good as what the chef at Makerti serves. 😄 What the team manages to provide in such a remote location – and how much effort they put into making your stay special – is absolutely incredible and deserves appreciation. Another highlight was having a massage directly in our villa, on our own bed, surrounded by nature. Such a simple but incredibly luxurious experience and one of those moments that makes a Bali holiday feel truly special. Bali is an extraordinary place, and Makerti captures so much of what makes this island beautiful: nature, tranquility, hospitality, amazing food and that feeling of being completely away from everything. If you are looking for nightlife, crowds and lots of things happening around you, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want to disconnect, experience Bali’s incredible nature and stay somewhere truly unique and peaceful, Makerti is an absolute dream. ❤️🌴 We would come back in a heartbeat.

Superbe villa tout en bamboo Très calme et reposant. Personnel très souriant et discret.

La struttura molto pulita, personale professionale, cibo ottimo e ottima pulizia

Tout est absolument parfait, la maison est magnifique, on s’y sent très bien, au calme. Tout est bien pensé, tout est beau. On peut passer la commande au restaurant pour les repas facilement via WhatsApp donc c’est super pratique. Le personnel est au petit soin, tous aussi gentils les uns que les autres. Ils m’ont aidés à organiser un super journée d’anniversaire pour mon mari (petit déjeuner flottant, massage, healer, dîner aux chandelles).

Seulement la piscine trop froide pour en profiter vraiment mais ce n’est rien du tout par rapport à tout le reste qui est parfait.

Очень интересный опыт проживания в домике из бамбука. Весь дом из природных материалов. На втором этаже есть небольшое застекление и дверь. На первом всё открыто, хорошо есть балдахин над кроватью😊 очень прикольный гамак на втором этаже с чудесным видом. Прекрасный персонал, всегда готов помочь. Вкусная еда. Из нюансов, тк вы в живой природе, это животные, насекомые. Меня большего всего напрягали лягушки, которые очень громко по ночам квакают. И в душе сидят на листьях деревьев и с приходом темноты, плавают в бассейне. Ещё в одно утро, в 5.55 из динамике начинается перезвон и молитва - может разбудить! И из небольших недочетов, надо почаще стирать балдахины, а то в некоторых местах покрыты плесенью.

The concierge met me in the parking lot along with 2 other employees who handled my baggage. The concierge walked me over to the check in where I was greeted with a welcome drink and then walked me to my villa and explained the entire villa functionally along with restaurant hours availability. I was truly impressed with the professionalism from meeting me at the parking lot all the way to my villa.

I wish there would have been more amenities, such as restaurant options, an exercise option like a gym or outdoor activities on premises. And safety to walk around the property without danger of dogs.

Das Haus ist wunderschön inmitten der Natur. Es sieht aus wie auf den Bilder. Man darf keine Angst vor Tieren haben, da alles offen ist.

The most special stay for me as the team helped by boyfriend organize the most amazing proposal😍The staff was super nice and helpful especially the reception guy. They have decorated the pool, then they covered it because of the rain so it is not ruined. I am more than amazed by the whole experience - the location, the views, the property! Definitely recommend it!

Bamboo Villa harikaydı.Personel çok yardımcı güleryüzlüydü.Evi ambiyansı ve ortamı çok beğendik.Özellikle üst kattaki seyir terası muhteşemdi.Saatlerce oturup manzarayı seyrettik.Kahvaltı zayıftı, damak tadımıza uygun değildi .Fakat hijyenik koşullarda eve getirdiler bu iyiydi.Evin içinde herşey mevcut .Böcek sinek vs şeylerden rahatsızlık duymadık herhangi bir sorun olmadı beklediğimizden daha az seviyedeydi.

Bazı yatak örtüleri ve bornozlarda leke vardı.Küvette de aynı şekilde .Biraz daha iyi yıkanıp temizlenmesi şart.

Tout était juste exceptionnel ! La structure en bambou de la villa, son intérieur exotique à souhait, son jardin, la vue, la tranquillité, la piscine privée. Le personnel aux petits soins.

The Serenity and the staff was wonderful

It rained most of the time but that wasn't their problem. Food had a limited menu so the taste was monotonous, the tomatoes were not fresh for the pizza. Otherwise, it was a great place. Will visit some day

Krásna bambusova vila zážitok ktorý treba absolvovať .Vsetko premyslene do detailov . Zostali sme jednu noc a ľutovali sme že sme nerezervovali dlhšie . Obávala som sa hmyzu a zvierat ale bolo naozaj čisto aj počas noci nikde som nič nevidela . Personál bol nápomocný . Jedla v reštaurácii chutili výborne .

Jedine čo nás rušilo v tomto kľudom prostredí bol ranný spev modlitieb pri východe slnka .

Absolutely loved my stay at this place! The Villa looks much better in person and is very well maintained. The location is perfect and staffs were very friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Úplně, ale úplně všechno. Dorazili jsme na místo a úplně nám to vyrazilo dech, nádhera! Vše do detailu promyšlené, obsluha milá, nápomocná. Procestovali jsme celé Bali včetně přilehlých ostrovů, ale toto bylo mezi ubytováními 12/10!!! 🤩

V okolí nic moc není, je potřeba pronajmout si skútr a vyjet, jinak je to spíš udělané tak, že celý den zůstanete na své vile a vůbec nic vám nechybí. Mohla by se trochu zlepšit restaurace, pečivo k snídani bylo tvrdší. Některá jídla bez chuti. Na kratší dovolenou vyberete, ale na delší už by vám bylo jejich menu krátké.

Best about everything, the wiev, the staff, the restorant, food, breakfast.. We booked 2 storey villa for me and my husband. Even open air there is no mosquito no bugs. We mostly spent our time on the swing. There is one projection for music or film. The bathtub and wiev amazing.Now my dream house is this bamboo villa 🤍

La villa offre une prestation haut de gamme. L’expérience était incroyable tant sur les activités proposées, la nuit passée ou le petit-déjeuner, le personnel très discret et compétent.

L’accès à l’hôtel en scooter est particulièrement difficile : entre les nombreux nids-de-poule remplis d’eau, la circulation des autres véhicules et les personnes se baignant nues dans la rivière, le trajet devient vraiment compliqué.

L'authenticité du lieu, le côté sauvage et la sensation d'être privilégié. La piscine et le filet à l'étage etaient la cerise sur le gateau

Les escaliers menant vers la chambre à l'étage sont beaucoup trop dangereux car ils ne sont pas isolés en cas de pluie..vous devez signer une décharge à l'arrivée d'ailleurs et j'en ai fait les frais après avoir chuté dans les escaliers...

Our stay at Makerti Villa in Selat was truly unforgettable! The location is breathtaking — surrounded by rice terraces, mountains, and pure tranquility. It’s the perfect place to unwind and experience the peaceful side of Bali away from the crowds. The villa itself was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed with an amazing view right from the room and the pool. Everything felt so serene and private. The hosts were absolutely wonderful — friendly, genuine, and always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The home-cooked meals were delicious, and we loved starting our mornings with breakfast overlooking the greenery. If you’re looking for a quiet, authentic Balinese experience with great hospitality, Makerti Villa is the perfect choice. We left feeling refreshed and grateful — can’t wait to come back again! 🌿✨

La beauté du lieu très Instagramable, la gentillesse du personnel !

On avait demandé des cocktails c’était soit disant « sold out » alors que j’avais demandé au préalable pour l’anniversaire de mon père des cocktails. Quand tu veux prendre des extra au petit déjeuner il manquait beaucoup de plat. Ensuite pour le service dans la chambre quand vous mangez, ils vous amènent tout le repas de suite à 20h car après c’est fermé. Mais du coups on mange les entrées et après les plats sont froids rien à réchauffer sur place. C’est un détail mais tout cela dénote avec le lieu exceptionnel c’est dommage !

I did struggle a bit as a coeliac to eat out there but the property also made us very aware beforehand that there are no shops or restaurants around except the one on site so we had come prepared with extras snacks etc

I stayed in a bamboo house and, although at first the thought of sleeping “outdoors” felt a bit scary, everything was perfectly safe and comfortable. The experience was truly magnificent, with a unique charm you can’t find elsewhere. The staff were very friendly and always helpful, and the food was excellent. The place also offers plenty of facilities, so there’s no need to worry – it actually feels like a small resort, with several bamboo houses and a restaurant in the middle, creating a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. An authentic and memorable experience that I wholeheartedly recommend!

Loger au Makerti Bamboo House est vraiment une expérience fantastique en famille. Toute la déco et les équipements de la Bambou House sont soignés dans les moindres détails. La baignoire en hauteur avec vue sur la verdure et le filet pour lire le soir suspendu en l'air sont fantastiques. Le personnel est au petit soin, tout est commandable sur whatsapp sans se déplacer, le rêve absolu pour profiter d'un moment suspendu dans la nature.

Vous êtes un peu loin de tout, donc il faut manger sur place. Néanmoins, nous avons trouvé les plats savoureux (mais certes plus chers que dans un warung).

Ontzettend mooi en charmant bamboe huis. Het ligt er schitterend bij en je hebt geweldig mooi uitzicht over de rijstvelden. De open opzet van het huis verbindt je meteen met de omgeving. Je kan heerlijk relaxen in de tuin of in het lignet op de eerste verdieping.

Helaas wordt er gebouwd direct naast het huis. Waar het idee was om te relaxen en van de natuur te genieten was er de hele dag timmer en zaaggeluid te horen. Dat haalt de hele ervaring naar beneden. Het eten viel ook wat tegen ten opzichte van de klasse (en prijs) van het huis. Ook is het jammer dat er niks gedaan wordt met feedback uit meerdere reviews dat er maar 2 stoelen zijn in een huis voor 4. Dat maakt een diner in het huis erg onhandig.

Magical place, the perfect escape. If you want to experience living in a bamboo house into the nature this is the one.

The location is far from the center, the weather is mostly rainy at the area as we were informed by the staff, so it would be nice if they had more amenities there such as a restaurant (which was close when we were there) or a spa area, or even a gym place.

The cleaning, the sheets and pillows were not cleaned properly . They had dirty stains.

Some things to be improved significantly, the food was not very good according to the value of property. The projector inside should have speakers attached, you can hardly listen anything. Otherwise the experience of living in open house was great.

The bamboo house is beautiful, and there is equipments as umbrella, insects products etc. The experience of bamboo house was magical, I like the bath with the view.

I was disappointed about many things, There was no WiFi so we was not able to watch movie or anything. The more important thing that was very disappointing is the view, on the booking picture it was very pretty, but in reality the palms disappear and there was construction around it. The construction also make noise. About the food, I was expecting better quality for this kind of property. The dinner was not super good and the breakfast was not good and very poor compared to others locations I did before. We had a problem of pee smell in the room, but the host came to solve it and wash the floor and the room fast so it was ok.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property! It had amazing views, incredible scenery and exceptional staff that went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay! The food was delicious and room service great! The staff were so helpful organising activities and transport for us and we want to thank our driver for going above and beyond to give us a tour of the amazing places Bali has to offer and then dropping us off at the Airport afterwards. Our favourite parts were spending time in the pool, relaxing on the net bed and even using our outdoor shower among the plants and bamboo. The Makerti Bamboo House exceeded expectations and we hope to stay here again on our next visit to Bali! Thank you to all the staff that made our stay great!

As expected and multiple warnings from the host, you are in the wilderness, there was some moths, lizards, bee ...but honestly they kept themselves away from us...I was expecting a lot worse

My stay was spectacular! This was my one night splurge of my trip, and it was worth it! Stunning facility, beautiful view, incredibly helpful staff. They even went to find ibuprofen for me when I showed up having just gotten hurt while hiking. The food was great, there was a ton of drinking water provided (both refrigerated and room temperature), and arranging meals was easy. I wish I had been able to stay longer!

The house is really amazing. I loved all the bamboo decoration details. I really recommend to experience a few nights in a bamboo house while you are in Bali. The breakfast was good, but…

It could be more cleaner in the upper area. Under the bed and behind it there was a lot of dust. I know this is an open house, but they said that we have to wait a bit because it needs extra cleaning because of the wind and when I entered and looked under the bed there was dirty, for sure no vacuum cleaner was used before. The restaurant prices are big. On the second day, we received the omelette with hair inside. I expected to receive something on the house from them to apologise for this, but no, they just gave us another one. For the cappuccino I was supposed to pay, it was not included in the breakfast menu.

If you are the kind of person who likes to stay in a quiet place far from city and be surrounded by the nature noises this place is for you. Is a quiet place in a jungle, very pleasant and relaxing environment. We’ve been there for my 30th birthday’s anniversary and it was something special. Very clean and nice looking house. The staff also very friendly and nice people. Really enjoyed and recommended.

Very beautiful natural two storey bamboo house. Water pressure is very good. Stunning view from the windows when you have a bath in the bathtub. Fully equipped kitchen, very convenient to use. Two toilets at different floors that people live up stairs don't have to go downstairs to use toilet. Stunning view of the field. Not the best angle for rice field, but good enough to enjoy at the second level. The garden and the swimming pool design is so beautiful with beautiful lights. We found frogs, geckos and fire flies at night. Cute creatures! Very supportive staff providing good service.

Only the tast and quality of the food don't match the price. Also the beds are damp.

There is active construction all around the property making for an unpleasant stay. Checked out a day early.

This was a perfect 10/10 stay for our family. We were there for two back to back nights. Everything from staff, to the onsite restaurant food, to shower pressure, and even wifi speed was just great. They also arranged for photoshoot and tours for us, and were available on whatsapp with quick responses to help us plan everything.
